There was no fridge or microwave in the room. Missing light bulbs in the light fixtures, and the sink outside the bathroom had a crack through the bowl so whenever you used it ran straight into the floor. This is our 4th or 5th time staying at this hotel, and this is the first time I would ever not give them 5 stars all around. We weren't mad the room looked like it had just been renovated so maybe they hadn't finished yet, but the missing bulbs and cracked sink bowl definitely need attention.

Not Great!
Under complete renovation (should have been mentioned in description) but overall in poor condition and very “sketchy”. We couldn’t get into the first assigned room as the door lock would not open. Next room lacked a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, but after a 12-hr drive I had no energy to argue.
Random cars pulling into parking spaces and leaving 10-15 minutes later. One night we had some person knocking on our door about 11pm, said they had the wrong room after I yelled, and then drove off.
Not much around there other than a gas station and a Dennys. There are other hotels nearby, which seem much nicer/safer.
The front desk attendant was the highlight of the stay; friendly and helpful.
If you’re really in a pinch then it’s ok for a night, but I wouldn’t stay long. Consider the other hotels on the same street.

Clean and well maintained on the outside, but the interior of the rooms need work. Looks like they put a band-Aid on everything. The mattresses are old and springs are broken. The paint everywhere looks like a child touched up the walls. Every t.v. has to be manually set to HDMI2 to work by an employee. Roaches everywhere. Stains on blankets. They spray something to make it smell good after it is cleaned, to make it seem clean.

The property is outdated. Cigarettes buds and trash in the halls. Rooms need better cleaning. Towels and bedsheets are stained. Found one roach in the bathroom.

Didn’t have any towels in my room. Bathroom floors were extremely dirty, like they hadn’t been mopped. The bedspread was stained and dirty. but the plus was the pool was great and the staff was wonderful! You get what you pay for.

We arrived around 9.30 pm the experience was horrible. The previous guest who stayed in room 146 took a bath & never drained the water and the cleaning staff totally missed it so it became my problem. After waiting almost 30 minutes in the lobby because they had only one person on shift and the lobby was very busy. Finally The gentleman @ the front desk I think his name was Don he was very helpful came and plugged the tub. I had no other choice all the other hotels around that area were filled & was already very late. The bathroom, sheets & towels was very filthy. I won’t recommend this facility to anyone the experience was horrible & disgusting

Good Location With A Pleasant Staff.
Red Roof Inn Greenwich, Virginia Beach is a motel situated in close proximity to popular entertainment and restaurant venues. The grounds are well-kept and attractive, with a reasonably modern infrastructure. Staff is pleasant and friendly. My deluxe room was well-lit, spacious and accommodating, featuring popular amenities such as a large flat-panel TV with cable channels, microwave oven and refrigerator. I was very comfortable at this location. Unfortunately, the furniture, A/C unit and bedding are dated and badly in need of replacement. Cleanliness needs a bit of work as well - while far from filthy, the tiled portion of the floors in my room were covered in a fine layer of dirt and grime. All things considered, this motel room exceeded my expectations for an inexpensive stay.

I had to get my room changed THREE TIMES before I could find at least a decent room for my children and I. Staff was super nice but the dresser drawers fell off as soon as you opened them. Trash under the bed. Dust everywhere. Wholes in walls bathroom door looked beat in and most importantly a crack beads all around the building !

The room smelled like mildew/mold. The ceiling was peeling and pieces were coming off in the bathroom. The tub had pieces peeling up. The beds were nothing, but springs. I would not recommend.

But when I got my room key was hopping to pass out on my bed because I came back from traveling all day long the room was filthy dusty had hair in sink in toilet on towels and I’m bathtub around the toilet was also dirty covers in some kind of spots.

I booked late and arrived the same evening. Check in was okay. The picture of the room did not adequately describe what I encountered. The room was wheelchair accessible with a roll in shower which I did not need. The bathroom door was filthy and there were flies already in the room. There was rust and/or darkened areas in the room. The bed was lopsided and squeaked. The pillows felt like they were stuffed with straw. The ice machine was not conveniently located. I just left. As I was leaving, approximately 8 of the local police force's finest were in the parking lot speaking with a female who looked distraught. Officers were courteous and moved their vehicle so I could back out. I will never go back to this place even if offered a free room. This room should have never been rented.

4 years ago our room was a lot nicer beds better. (closer to the main entrance) bathroom door wouldn't close ,hinge rusty, toilet flusher button was" ify" etc...

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life. Very unsanitary. Animal hair & bugs everywhere. Bed had broken springs. Floor was not vacuumed at all. Blood stains on sheets & pillows, called the front and asked for new ones atleast & the woman told me there was nothing she could do for me and that there was no extra sheets she could give me. She proceeded to tell me that I had to wait until the morning to speak to the manager. The manager was nowhere to be found at checkout. Worst part of all was that I had my baby with me. Can’t believe I paid $130 to stay in this dump.

We didn't end up staying. When we arrived with our confirmation number we were told that an employee had cancelled our reservation weeks earlier and there was not a room available for us. NEVER will I stay at a Red Roof Inn again.

The tv and phone didn’t work upon arrival. Desk staff fixed the tv immediately when asked. Internet was seriously lacking. The bed was quite comfortable and the room clean. The outside area towards the back building was dirty with litter, cigarette butts, and dog feces. None of this is the staff’s fault but def needs to be dealt with.

The room we were put in must have been one that needed to be accessed with excessive force as there was a larger circular dent/paint chipping in the middle of the door & what appeared to be crow bar like markings all along the actual door/door casing that were visible from both in & outside of the room. The paint was coming off the ceiling, there was mold on the ceiling above the shower (most likely due to not having a fan). Pets are allowed & I assume a dog chewed the corner of the arm on thevswivel chair. There was only a thin sheet on the bed. No quilt or comforter. The AC/heat unit only would blow cold air. We tried turning it to 83° & it was still freezing. Crumbs on the desk, desk chair & floor. The drawers on the dresser could not be opened & the handles were rusty (again most likely from such extreme humidity within the room) Different vehicles were pulling in & out all night long. Made for a not so relaxing nights rest.

The hotel is supposed to be 100% smoke-free. Our room was designated (clearly) non-smoking. The first thing I smelled when my 8-year-old stepson and I opened the door was an overwhelming odor of cigarettes. The second thing we smelled when we walked in the room was something along the lines of sewage. When I told the person working in the lobby, he offered to spray down the room or refund the order but couldn’t get us another room bc they were sold out for the night. He was kind, but he did not at all take accountability for how unacceptable the room was. He didn’t apologize, either. This was a horrible experience. I spent an hour looking for another hotel because of it and ended up having to stay there because every other hotel in a 50-mile radius was sold out as well. The employee sprayed it down and we survived, but that was NOT worth $250. I am extremely upset by what a waste that was.

Our room was comfortable and very clean! Loved that this one had a tv we could use our own fire stick on and actually had a blow dryer!!!! The only thing I would change was the air conditioner didn’t seem to work well but it was very very hot and a lot of people staying around us. Customer service was amazing. We were also pretty close to anything and everything we needed and wanted.

The room was supposed to be smoke free but it was evident people smoked in the room. There wasn’t a fridge or microwave. The door didn’t close all the way. I don’t recommend this place.

Avoid this place!
This hotel is simply old, run down, and it shows. The walls are cracked, the furniture was chipped and the condition of the room was clean but dingy! The hotel needs an update BAD!!

I liked that the area around my room was quiet. My neighbors were quiet for the most part. What I didn't like was the condition of the floors. They were oily and dirty. A few steps on the floor produced filthy socks.

The room had roaches and flies. You felt the springs on the mattress very uncomfortable with flat pillows. Lighting was not good, I wanted the deluxe room far from deluxe stay away from this hotel.

Room looked nice and was functional. Floor was mainly wood looking tiles. Some carpet, mainly around the beds. Both felt nasty walking on barefoot. Had to put my shoes back on, even for middle of night bathroom trip.

When I showed up I was appalled by the conditions of the room. I had 2 wash cloths, and only 1 towel! My pillows were pancakes and the bed basically took up the entire room. Complete false advertisement!! Don’t stay here! Don’t ever believe the pictures!

The front desk ladies were very nice but the positive feedback stops there. They way upcharged for the holiday weekend (which is to be expected) but this place was gross. Itchy bed, stained comforter, holes in chair, bad smell. We were only there for one night because of a concert but one night was too much. So much noise outside all night.

Always a pleasure if housekeeping keeps up
Check in as always pleasant . Room in great condition fellow travellers we're not a problem as far as noise or anything. I always enjoy my stay when I'm town. However I was a little uncomfortable with my flat dead pillows and my bathroom had barely been cleaned. It appeared clean but once I got in it I knew it wasn't and I did so myself. FyI for all housekeeping... Things like dusting lamps, sweeping out corners, wiping shower walls , around door knobs and light switches.... THAT GETS TIPS!.. Don't fall off now this is a better Red roof!

For the price, this hotel was great. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. However, it did smell like smoke (even though the hotel was non-smoking, people were smoking outside and when we got to our room, it smelled). The location was good, and it is in a quiet area, but near many restaurants and easy access to main roads. The people who work here are nice and helpful, and overall I was pretty happy with the stay. You get what you pay for, and this hotel was great for the price being so much lower than everywhere else.

I did not like that I paid for a deluxe room and got a standard , which was not satisfactory for my family. I have 2 newborn babies and was unable to heat water because the room did not come with a microwave or coffee pot/maker. When I request towels and wash clothes I did not receive any extra for the room.

I’ve been staying here for the past 11 years now and although there are higher end options, the staff and pool are what keeps me coming back. Trina is a great manager, Howard is a great maintenance man and I just can’t say enough good things about Valerie. She is the happiest cleaning person I know, takes time to ask about my day and is always so accommodating. As far as the front desk, Carlos was great! I can’t remember the names of the other gal or the other two night gentleman but they too were friendly and happy to help. Also, one young man who was working with Valerie was great as well. I’ll always stay here. Thank you.

Worst Hotel Ever-over priced
Horrible. Rooms wreaked of smoke, guests were rude smoking and talking loudly in the early morning outside of room, hairdryer didn’t work and smelled bad when turned on. Room was very outdated and in much need of updating for the rate that was charged. No breakfast option. Over priced for the type of accommodation it was.

Great staff, poor facility.
While the staff was awesome, accommodating, professional and pleasant, the facilities were less than standard. I had to change rooms after the first night because there was no shower curtain and housekeeping had left and wouldn't be back until 7:00 AM, after I had to leave for my meetings. So, I ended up taking a shower with no curtain, meaning the floors were flooded. Then the commode was not bolted down to the floor, and almost pitched me over. Finally, the air in the room could not be modulated, so it was very humid.
After moving to another room, the facilities got better, all thanks to the great staff.

Staff were arguing with each other while my husband and I were going to our room. They were cussing and being super loud while disagreeing with each other. We actually switched buildings because of this. Room was just okay wasn’t much to rave about but you get what you pay for. We were grateful we were able to switch rooms.

Expensive but the floor was sticky/greasy and dirty with hair. I expected more for the price and there is no breakfast. Had loud neighbors both nights. I would have slept better in my car
