The hallways and the room smelled just like chlorine from the pool my bed was uneven. The 2 gentleman's that work there were so very professional, but the lady not so much.

Did not get housekeeping ONCE in the 4 nights my partner and I stayed there. I called down to ask if on our 3rd night, we could get new sheets and towels. Was told to strip the bed ourselves and CARRY our sheets and towels down to the front desk. Then, we had to make our own bed. I make my bed at my home. The point of going to a hotel is you have a place to stay without having to change your own sheets. It was unprofessional in my opinion.
Also, the walls were so thin, I could a conversation between 2 people in the room next to us. The room above us was stomping all day and night. Sounded like horses were stomping above us. Was very hard to sleep with that constant noise.

This property is very convenient to Six Flags and Great Wolf Lodge, as well as restaurants and shopping.
We chose Baymont because of the special rate, and the reputation that Baymont has had. While I don't have any complaints with the property, I was surprised that the property is very "average." Not extremely nice, and the furniture was a little stained. The Baymonts we have stayed in have always been very nice. Again, no real complaints, just not what we expected with this name.

Check if you have all your teeth after Breakfast!
The hotel itself was fine, the staff was good and welcoming and it was really just a quick trip and needed a place to lay our head. But the breakfast while a decent portion many items tasted expired and/or spoiled. After nearly breaking a tooth on the raisin bran that tasted like it was 2+ years old we tried to spice up the eggs a bit with the packaged hot sauce but it was separated and rancid. The freshly cooked stuff was fine but the stuff that had a chance to sit there a while had, and it had gone bad.

Staff members were very friendly and pleasant! Clean room and very quiet. Lots of places to eat and very short ride to the navy base! Breakfast was good. Will definitely stay at hotel again.

Vending machine and ATM both out of order. The beds were not comfortable. The pool light fell out while kids were swimming in the pool. Burn marks on tub ledge. Needs to be updated. Took out hot tub so should not advertise that.

Bed was comfortable, room and staff were nice. But Gym not available my 3 days there and hot tub non functional for 15 yrs said staff. Also vending machine not working and coffee cold, otherwise good. I’d appreciate a refund or comp

The bedsheets were not on the bed. We had to make up both beds ourselves. Also there was no shower curtain. Front desk brought it up and we had to hang it ourselves.

Bugs!!! Go somewhere else!
First of all, there were bugs in the room. I don’t think they were cockroaches, but when we asked if we could cancel our reservation or have a different room, they would not do either. The breakfast was pretty basic, the pool had mold in the pool itself and on the floor around the pool. Just wasn’t very clean. We had a room that seemed like it was a lower quality/minor maintenance issues, and when we asked about it, we were told that when you book thru a site other than thru the hotel directly, that they have set aside rooms for us.

Many things not known before I booked
When I got there, the desk said I had to put a $150 deposit. They are also not 2A friendly. Not posted on site but on the door when I got there. Will not stay there again.

This is our second time staying there because of the close proximity to Great America. It’s a decent hotel with very kind staff. We would stay again. The beds are a little firm for my taste but fine for a night or two.

i visited chicago for my son navy graduation and had the time of my life me and my family stay here and the young man at the front desk his name is nathan...he made me and my family feel welcomed he was very sweet gave helpful information if i asked him about anything in the area ,checked me in with no problem just all around a gentleman the room was clean the bed and bathroom was clean the morning breakfast was amazing and it seems like everyone was friendly i will definitely be returning

Overall the room was clean but very outdated with the walls beat up. The walls also were very thin and could hear EVERYTHING around us from the coughing man in the room next to us and the people having sex in the room next to us as well. Definitely feels like false advertising on how they market and more of a motel than hotel. Were a few times i didn't feel the safest but it is what it is. Hope this helps for anyone staying in the area. I also am more use to Marriott experience, which i absolutely recommend over this place. Also have not received my deposit back as well and even cleaned and tried to make it easy for the cleaning people

Only One Complaint.
Overall an okay room.
I stayed here to go to six flags, which was a short walk on sidewalks.
The Shower looks beautiful at first with nice glass doors and fancy shower head, but then you realize there is no shelf for soap.
That's my biggest gripe with the hotel, everything else was fine. Not great not bad. TV wasn't great, really poor sound and picture looked 720p.
I think the hot tub was down, and pool had a lot of kids being so close to the park. Adult hours after the park closes would be nice, but pointless without the hot tub.

I was literally there just to sleep during a long travel, and it was fine. It was quiet and peaceful, clean, and the sheets smelled good. They have a $150 deposit for damages, and since there were a few spots on the wall, and other, the clerk was nice enough to come verify that was there before my stay. The coffee was hot the next morning, and I didn't get breakfast, but it smelled appetizing and there were plenty of people in there who looked to be enjoying it. There are several hotels in that area, and since I got in fairly late, the parking was a bit hectic. Other than that, great that it was right off the highway.

Lots of dinner options in walking distance of the hotel. Thai, Caribbean, and Indian/Pakistani for adventurous eaters like me. Love the location. Vey close to the Bristol Renaissance Fair and Six Flags. Rooms were clean. Furniture has seen some better days though. I called a few says ahead of time and they were able to get me connecting rooms and that was great with a big group. Nice front desk.

Don’t swim.
We got there and we were celebrating my son’s birthday. He was looking forward to swimming. We had gone down to swim and the pool was closed for 30 minutes. Or so the sign said. We went down after thirty min and nope still closed. We go every ten minutes for another 30 minutes. The pool was closed for cleaning for over 3.5 hours longer than they said. Very disappointing

Definitely not the Venetian and some of the negative reviews online weren’t my room; yes, the room is dated, but it was clean and quiet and the coffee was actually pretty good with a nice breakfast area.

I drove a bus for a school function and only stayed for 4 hours during the night, so did not use any facilities. But staff was pleasant enough and check in was simple, since I booked ahead. Room was nice with only a few noticeable things from age and use. Would stay again.

Lady at front desk
Horrible customer service. Lady at the front desk was extremely unhelpful. Lost my $100 deposit because of the window being open and accused of cigarette smoking in the room (I don’t smoke cigarettes). She just seemed displeased in general that it was made through a 3rd party. Well. Tell your manager to take your damn hotel off this site if you plan to be rude about the reservation being made through here.

The hotel was in a convenient location. It served its purpose, just not a classy place. It could have been cleaner starting from the parking lot to the sheets on the bed. My sheets had a stain, it looked like the sheets had been washed but the stain wont go away. I slept on top of the cover with my robe on. Luckily the heat worked very well. I appreciate the free breakfast, a lil something to get your day started.

The property is run down and the pictures are deceiving. It gives bedbug vibes. The pool is small and the water was cold. The beds and pillows were both hard. We ended up going home the second night because we just did not want to stay in this hotel another night.

UNLISTED DEPOSIT REQUIRED
THEY REQUIRE A DEPOSIT TO STAY which is not listed on the website or anywhere through booking process! $150 deposit on card or $100 cash! “So no one trashes the room” yet when we got to our room the bathroom floor tile is crushed and cracked in pieces around the toilet. When I called to let them know the front desk said ok, we’ll try and get that fixed, but you could tell he already knew about that.

Stayed for two nights. Visited for navy recruit graduation. Accomodations were above par. Comfortable and accessable to what we needed. Although under renovations, still very good. Will consider a return stay on our next visit.

Was exactly what was posted on the website. Photos were accurate. Quiet and clean. We traveled with a dog and definitely didn't feel like we were put in a sub-standard room. We go to Gurnee 4 times a year and this'll be our new go to for hotels in this area.
