Dirty Room, No pool or Hot tub available.
The only reason I booked this hotel instead of one closer to St. Louis downtown was because of the pool and hot tub. However, neither was opened and I was told that the hot tub did not have hot water. So, it was closed. This is the same review I had read from 5 months ago from another visitor. I guess they have no intention of fixing it or maintaining it. The pool and tub should not be advertised if people can not use it. Also, we booked for 6 people and only had 3 towels and not enough sheets/blankets. Had to get more from the lobby and also change the sheets they did have because they were dirty. I would not recommend this for anyone.

We appreciated the staff at front desk and the staff in dining room who worked very hard to take care of the breakfast crowd. The housekeeping however was terrible!! We stayed for 5 nights and only once did housekeeping come to the room to clean it. Bath gel container was empty and never refilled, crumbs on the floor were there the entire time and generally poor service. thank you

This hotel surpasses my expectations. It is so clean and spacious. It has kitchen and stoves and everything I needed. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of healthy foods.. I will definitely recommend it for people.

1st room I was given the bed was not made- went back to desk. Got a second room. Hair on bathroom sink, kitchen area, etc. Not the worst I've ever seen. But not great either.

Staff were very nice. Breakfast was good. And room was nice. My only complaint - our room faced the highway abd it was a bit loud - for me. And the fan is set at one setting- the highest one. Since the air blew right on the couch we wanted to add the fan but it was just worse- maybe set the fans on medium?? It would be a happy medium for those who want the fam.

Located right off the highway so it was loud while trying to sleep. Overall hotel was fine. I wouldn’t book this hotel through hotels.com though because they apparently don’t know how to request payment through hotels.com and now I’m fighting with them and hotels.com to get my money back.

This hotel was SO dirty…couldn’t even walk without shoes on. Bathroom floors were gross too- had to put towels down. Doesn’t seem too old of a building, so it is a shame it hasn’t been kept up. Staff could care less about working. Called for additional towels, said they would be on the way- they never came. Called again and was directed to come to the front desk to get them. Asked for a “Do not disturb” sign for my door- was told they didn’t have any, so I requested my room not be cleaned- came back after work and all of the towels had been taken but none were replaced. Just a few photos…could’ve uploaded more, but you get the jist.

Pool closes at 9pm even on the weekends. The breakfast was slim pickings. Main items were out more than staying full to accommodate guest. It was a slow refill.

The hotel is located across from the mall. Great for shopping and restaurants. The layout of the suite is great. However, the sound insulation is very bad. The highway nearby is loud and my neighbors were also loud. The front desk was friendly and took down our complaint about slow drain, but no one came to fix it during our two-night stay. No room service either. A candy wrap sat in the public hall way outside our suite for the entire duration of our stay, making me think whether the room was really clean.

Close to shopping and zoo!!
Great location close to shopping and the zoo. Rooms were clean and comfortable, we had a 2 queen suit. It had a nice kitchen space along with a good size sitting room. Breakfast was good nothing to write home about but good, Variety of hot and cold items and space was kept clean. The pool on our stay was not great, water was murky we were told at check it it had a chemical treatment but should be able to swim at 4 but at 8pm you couldn't see the bottem so we passed on the swimming. Overall hotel was great and staff was friendly we would stay again.

We stayed here because I was having surgery and we live two hours away. The hotel was very clean and all of the staff was very friendly. The room we stayed in was facing the freeway but we barely heard it. Our room was clean and beautiful. We will definitely stay here again!

The pool and the hot tub had brown water. The hot tub jets did not work. The hallway that connected to our room was so hot and the gap under the door let all the hot air in. It looked like all the carpet had experience air conditioner leak. The carpet had white hard spots on it. It looked like mold and it had a sour smell to it.

Friendly staff, many choices for breakfast each day. Pool was out of order one day and hot tub was completely out of order. No pool towels when we entered 2 of the 3 days and often heard that they just put some there and did not have any more. Room floor could have been cleaner as there was long dark hair and along walls and corners were dirty. When you have kids this is a huge factor.

We checked in later in the evening (around 10pm). When we arrived, the front desk clerk was anything but welcoming. As she was checking us in, she answered a call from a room requesting extra items. When she handed me our keys, I noticed she had written our room number down as the room that had called on the phone. I asked, "are you sure this is the correct room number, because I think this was the room you were just talking with on the phone." She rudely said that was our room. So up we went to that room, only to find it occupied. Back down we went to the front desk where she was frustrated with us. The clerk said, "fine, I'll just assign you another room."
We go back up to the second room, to find the door standing wide open. At this point, I am so tired I decide I'm going to stay in this room no matter what. We had just spent 36 hours in a hospital waiting room and this was the only hotel with availability in a 10 mile radius of the hospital. We got settled in. The room was fine. Clean. Cold air. Hot water. Bed was average. At 5am, we were woken up by an alarm on the phone (we think the fire alarm). The phone was loudly buzzing and saying "Can I have your attention please."
I can look past a lot of things, but rude clerks are not one of them. I don't think I will stay at this property again.

The room when we arrived wasn’t very clean. The carpet hasn’t been vacuumed and there was crumbs and trash on the floor. The bathroom had hair on the floor and in the shower. When we pulled the couch out into the bed the sheet was visibly dirty. The pool was so cloudy you couldn’t see your hand a foot below the surface and the water in the hot tub was brown. The hotel has potential to be very nice, it just needs to be properly cleaned.

Faucet constantly dripping, shower head not spraying well, bathtub would fill up while taking shower, had to ask for blanket for the pullout couch as there was not any in room, hot tub out of order, pool was cold.

Overnight Vacation
Very nice property except for one of the two elevators being out for over a week with no end in sight. Had service Dogs and the hotel put us on the 10th floor which was the top floor of the hotel. Not the best circumstance given one of the elevatora was out

Rooms not cleaned well; wash rag left if shower hanging from past guest, dry dog food on floor, wet food or vomit between beds.
Makes me wonder if the room was really cleaned from the previous booking…

Won’t be back
The hotel was not kept up well or very clean. There was caution tape around an area right when you entered the front doors. Then our room had 3 forks on the counter (not sure if dirty or clean?), a pitcher w water in the fridge (fridge and freezer dirty inside), candy in nightstand drawers (discovered by my kids), shower wouldn’t drain, mattress pad with multiple rips, holes, and stains on pull out couch.
Strangest thing was that check out was at noon, but a housekeeper came knocking on the door and *opened* our door at 8:30am without permission, while my family was still resting. I’ve never had this happen in a hotel before.

This hotel has a full gym in it. Not just a treadmill. It was very nice. The breakfast bar was not staffed well and couldn’t keep up with the guests. The oatmeal pot was broken and didn’t get fixed in 4 days. The bed was very comfortable. They need to create standard work for the cleaning crew. We did not have sheets or blankets for the sofa bed nor was there soap in the shower. Could be a 5 star hotel as it is very nice just needs a little help and better procedures.

It was a great stay. The beds are very comfortable, even the couch mattress was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good too. If I had a complaint, it would be that we could hear the freeway traffic. I would recommend this Hotel 10/10

Overall, the place was very nice. My complaint is a temporary one - they were remodeling the 3rd floor and we were on the 4th. It was very noisy - I think they must have been putting lights up because it sounded like the drill was coming through our floor. We had to talk very loudly to hear each other and their quitting time is not until 7 p.m. We had requested a lower floor, but if we had been told about the remodeling, we could have gone another floor higher. Secondly, this may be an oversight on their part in remodeling??? There weren't any towel bars in the bathroom. We had to hang hand towels off of drawer handles by the sink and bath towels over the shower door and then move them as a different person took their shower. Otherwise, the rooms were in great shape, nicely furnished. Could have had better pillows.

Staff very nice and helpful and working hard. Property dirty and areas not cleaned regularly. Area in and around elevators continually dirty. Room adequately cleaned but not up to my standards. Shower floor stained. No towel hooks in the bathroom. Sheets thin and ill fitted. Windows noisy and noise from outside loud. Would rate this Hilton product below a 3-star in its current condition.

The breakfast was the worst I have ever had. The staff was friendly, but didn't know the right ratios or training for food. Wrong ratio for juice, eggs, pancakes to the point of inedibility. If the owner is spending money for Materials and labor they should make sure they are getting their monies worth. Also the disability setting for the toilet were sub par. We were in town for my mom’s 80th and she had issues with your toilet accessibility. We called 2 times and got a hand rail but it was not installed correctly. Also construction early in the morning was very disrupting. Rooms were not cleaned the 3 days we were there and our family that stayed for 5 days did not gala a their rooms cleaned either.

The staff was wonderful and friendly! The rooms were large and clean. However, our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay and towels were not restocked. We had to ask at the desk to get more.
Location is right across from a shopping mall and CVS. Convenient if you need anything quickly.
The pool and pool area are in desperate need of a good cleaning. The water in the pool resembled lemonade and had a film on top.
There is a renovation occurring that isn’t listed on Expedia, however, there wasn’t any extra noise that I heard. The elevator would randomly open on the floors that are being renovated. Once, we couldn’t get the doors to close again and had to walk up a couple flights to get to our floor.
Overall I would stay here again - just be mindful of the pool area if you have kids wanting to use it.

What a great place to stay! We stayed with 2 children and got the king bed studio suite. There was plenty of room with the pull out couch. It was great to have a kitchen and refrigerator! The staff was very friendly and helped us with any questions we had.

The hotel was clean. Full kitchen does NOT come with an oven FYI. (luckily we didn't try to cook a frozen pizza). Issues: you have to ask permission to use the pool-every single time. Only the front desk has access to it. Our bathroom did not have an exhaust fan. The ceiling fan could not be controlled (either full blast or off). The BIGGEST issue: the road noise. We brought a sound machine and on full volume, the road noise was still liouder and kept us from a descent night sleep.

Bad need of TLC & a cleaning
Definitely needs an upgrade, but despite that, it was really dirty. Every glass in the cabinet was dirty, all carpets in room, elevator, lobby, looked like they hadn’t been vacuumed in a while, the air conditioning vents were blowing dust balls because they were so clogged, there was a bad odor to the room. No working light in the bathroom. Bright spots, comfortable & clean bed, good/free breakfast & coffee & they comped our room.

King suite with pull-out couch was perfect for 2 adults and 2 younger kids. Rooms have a great design with a full kitchen (fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, cooktop, and coffee maker), couch, coffee table with pull-out ottoman, desk, swivel TV, and nice bathroom area. Right next to the Galleria, with easy access to Forest Park. Water took a bit to warm up, but great shower once it did, with built-in full bottle shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Light continental breakfast was as expected and got the job done. Highly recommend!

Still ongoing renovations. Room turndown did not happen at all. Pool was murky. Not the level of other Homewood properties we’d stayed in the past. Front desk was friendly and did what they could. Breakfast was great with options for adults and kids.

Noisy Construction Zone
The public spaces in the hotel are nice and the breakfast buffet is definitely above average with a lot of options. But half of the floors were under construction while I was there, so there were a lot of workers around and extra noise. My room was redone, but a lot of little details were done poorly. The toilet ran the entire time I was there because the inner workings were badly designed and old, caulking around the shower was shoddy, one of the faucet handles wobbled around, etc. The room smelled strongly like new carpet and fresh paint. Not enough ventilation because I couldn’t open a window. The traffic noise is incessant because it’s next to a highway and the windows should be triple-paned to block it. I would stay somewhere quieter next time.

The hot tub was not working and the hotel was under construction. It was very dirty and not worth the moeny I spent on this hotel. I will look to use other search sites that might share better information on the hotels I planned to stay in the future.

Very disappointing for a Hilton brand. Very run down. Dirty. Bedding was yellowed from age. A/C unit in room kept coming on (in January) but buttons did not work to turn it off. Usually don’t have to think twice about Hilton brands for business travel… now will be more careful.

When I arrived, there was trash in the trash cans, an open 1 L bottle of distilled water sitting in the bathroom, and it smelt like an ashtray. The room was not clean, and I was not able to move rooms due to the property being full. I asked for my money back, and have not been successful in being reimbursed for a very poor experience

A little outdated decor/facilities but they are remodeling and it did not interfere with our stay in any way. Easy access from interstate; easy parking; friendly and welcoming personnel. Directly across street from Galleria mall. Close to Barnes Jewish Hospital medical facilities (few miles) and Washington University Medical staff. Barnes and Noble close. Just off I-170.

It is getting a much needed remodel, but as of now the place is reminiscent of an old motel, not a Hilton hotel. Uncomfortable furniture, ants at breakfast, room needed a deep clean. Bed was comfortable but A/C was super noisy.

The staff we interacted with were all amazing! It needs updates-we stayed in 2019 and loved our suite. This last stay, we were in a suite that needs an update. There were dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived, all surfaces were clean but the corners of the bedroom and bathroom were not, also some debri between the beds and the side table in the bedroom. Overall I would stay again if we had to, but for $255 a night, I would definitely exhaust all other options first. I did see a diagram and schedule in the lobby of updates starting summer of 2022, so once the updates are done it will be wonderful! Also-you have to book a time to swim in the pool and you get one hour a day.

Roomy suite but not so clean showers
One of the cards wouldnt open the door but front desk was able to help. Bathrooms especially the showers weren't very clean. The roll in shower allowed too much water to spill past the curtains and there was no folding chair in the shower. No vent in the shower.

Terrible don't stay at this hotel
This hotel is terrible!! I have stayed at many Homewood Suites, this hotel is nothing like the others which have been good. The room faced a busy highway with constant traffic noise. It was loud. The room was poorly cleaned on our arrival and the bedding was "rumpled" like someone had slept on top of the bedspread before out arrival. The carpet had stains. The linen was torn and very cheap quality. The "comforter" appeared to be a ripped bed pad. The bathroom was dirty and included pealing caulking at the rusting shower stall door. We requested that our room be serviced on two successive days. No service on either day. At least there were no bedbugs or cockroaches (at least that I could see).

The staff was excellent and very helpful. The room was not very clean and the pull out bed was terrible. We ended up putting the mattress on the floor for comfort. When we pulled the sofa bed out there were no sheets or blankets but the staff was able to help us with that. We were not told prior to our visit that there were restrictions on the pool and it was by reservation only. We were however able to get good times to swim and we were able to enjoy that. We all felt that the room should have been cleaner especially the carpets. We just want for you to know how very kind and helpful the staff was throughout the entire hotel, especially the front desk girl. It seemed like she was there for quite a few hours a day and always had a smile on her face. If it had not been for the staff I would have given a much worse review. You can thank them for that.

This property was not cleaned properly. The staff was horrible. All the garbage cans were over flowing everyday and everywhere. Breakfast was not good pork was mixed with the vegetables. The pool was nasty it was foaming and it wasn't the chlorine. Dishes were left in dish washer from prior guest. The 1st day room smelled fresh but after the perfume cleared it smelled like pee. I put my shirt on the couch and of course it got stained. I was on business and could not change hotels and the hotel was packed so coukd not change rooms. Never again. The beds were comfortable.

Staff was very helpful. When we entered our room, the first thing we noticed was the unmade beds. They immediately moved us to another room. Room was clean, however, I noticed some stains on the sitting room furniture. Free breakfast was great!!

Normally enjoy staying at Homewood Suites. Disappointed with this stay. Be careful wearing shoes that can slip. The tile in bathroom and vanity were slippery. Wiped the floor with damp wash cloth, but then the floor was sticky when walked on with bare feet.
I wasn't notified at check-in that you had to request housekeeping so room wasn't cleaned for second night. I had to go back to the front desk for towels. The breakfast was very good with a varied selection

The rooms were dirty and nasty. I asked for a different suite and it was just as gross. At 325 a night the suite should be clean. We left the hotel without staying.

The suites are located across the street from a upscale mall with great food spots near. The free parking lot for the hotel was a little small to me. The best part of the staff was the lady who took care of the breakfast. She greets everyone with a "good morning"and shows a genuine welcoming personality. Great Experience!
