It wasn’t all bad, their was plenty of room for me and 4 others, but we had to ask for a change of rooms due to it being dirty and even the new room wasn’t cleaned properly. For $600 for 2 nights it was expected to be a better experience. Breakfast was very limited and practically all burnt and dried out, inedible.

Online they said there was a fireplace which is a lie. The linen was dingy. Spiderwebs in bathroom. Breakfast was burnt. Cold coffee. Fitness center only had four machines small dumbbells and a ladder in the middle of the floor. This was horrible considering the small space. Right outside my room there was a bench in grass and dog pooped all over.

Not what I expected
I appreciate the large space that we had. However, These are the most cheaply built lodging facilities that I’ve ever stayed in. There was a quarter of an inch gap in the front door where you could actually see daylight outside and the air poured in . It was freezing on the bottom floor and 25° higher the top floor because it was making the heat kick up because all of the cold air pouring in from the front door. So the people on the bottom floor froze and the people on the top floor fried .We had to stuff towels in the door the best we could to keep the air out. Nobody slept, because the bad temperature fluctuation it was terrible.
They did do good job, putting the icemelt on after a minor snow we had.
Breakfast was not existent. It was a bunch of bagged eggs and something that looked like bacon although I’m not really sure what it was. And when I got there 20 minutes before closing, everything was already put up. Then I try to get coffee and there were literally coffee grounds in the bottom of the coffee maker, and no coffee. It was a black paste with coffee grounds. I’m not asking for a lot, but can you please make this drinkable. As far as I’m concerned, we paid way too much to stay here, and probably will not choose this place again.
Ceiling fans were dirty, and my toilet did not look that clean.

Two bedrooms and two baths were exactly what we needed for this trip. The concept here is terrific! With some updates (including new living room furniture) and a little better cleaning, this could be an exceptional place to stay. Worked great for our weekend. Would love to see them take this to the next level.

Property photos were very nice. Actual unit was very run down. Patched holes in the furniture. Dents in the appliances. Dents in the walls. Chipped paint throughout. Bathroom sink in loft area would not drain and the hot water did not work upon arrival. Had to call maintenance. It was eventually fixed the same day. Was an inconvenience after a long day of travel. Bathtub in loft area was SUPER slow to drain. Called maintenance and was told plumber couldn't come until the next day. We just dealt with it. Very disappointed. If we hadn't have pre-paid for the room, we would have checked out and went to another hotel.
Exterior of property was in the same condition. Construction going on next door was noisy.
Check in staff was SUPER nice and friendly!
Would not recommend staying here. Especially for what we paid, I expected much better.

Good value.
This hotel was good value. It allowed us all to stay in the same area for a great price. The only ding on our room was the floors needed a good cleaning and bed spread had some stains. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good stay.

Property Needs time to Get Better
I asked for a handicap room due to my disability and I was given a room that no handicap access to it. I was trying to give this location another chance since we notice that the management had changed and it takes time to get into a normal rhythm. Unfortunately they need a great deal of time to get the property back up to the luster it was.

Our home away from home
The guy who checked us in was amazing and was understanding knowing that we had driven 22 hours from Arizona to get there all of the concierge were amazing I would give this place a hundred Stars if I could it made us feel at home and this for now on will be I go to place when we're on vacation only thing I would say is our room was missing a few items but it's okay didn't mind walking a few steps to get to the office thank you guys for making our Christmas awesome . May I add we usually do airbnbs but lately we've been running into a few that are not so welcoming of us due to our skin color in some places so we'll stick to hotels with hotel.com only thank you and God bless you all!

The units need major updating. The carpet was filthy with stains all over it. The doors into the unit and the bathroom were very stubborn-hard to open and close. We had a two bedroom unit which we thought would be great for our family, but there were no doors on the bedrooms so no privacy. One bedroom is just like an extension of the living space on the first floor and the second one is a loft upstairs. There is a king bed upstairs but nowhere to put your suitcases. There was no luggage rack. There’s hardly any room on each side of the bed, which is where I had to put my bag, so I had to squeeze by it to get in the bed. There was no wastebasket anywhere on the second level. The only good thing was that the sink for the bathroom upstairs was on the outside of the room with the tub and toilet. The area with the tub and toilet upstairs was super small. There were always issues with the keys not working. And even though this is a safe area, there were very sketchy people hanging around late at night outside smoking. We did not feel safe arriving back late at night. The entrance to our unit was around back from where we had to park, so you had to walk through like an alley area to get to where you enter. We will not stay here again.

The property has a new construction site next door. During day time hours there is construction and associated noice occurring.
However after hours the property is extremely quiet and peaceful. Staf was very helpful and accommodating with my need to park a large moving van over night. There was absolutely no problems with this.
I must mention the bed. As soon as I lay on it I thought, “oh my gosh, this is like laying on a cloud”. Later I told the desk clerk how comfortable the mattess was. She told me the company making the matress wants it to feel you’re like sleeping on a cloud.
I said, “Goal Accomplished!!!”

My stay was great. Prior to this trip, ive never stayed at a Sonesta hotel, but now i will always stay at this Sonesta hotel. I love the layout of the room, as well as the bed. So comfortable and great pillows.... I wish i had your towels in my home! I just love the feel of that when drying off after a shower.

Paking is horrible. Getting your belongings to your room is a challenge. Exterior grounds are dirty and the building is in need of attention. The room was spacious and not bad.

Sonesta ES suites is in a great location. Very close to tons of shopping options in Chesterfield Valley. There are also a lot of places to take children for entertainment around the area.

The free breakfast was weak sauce and the staff were confused about start and stop times. Our room was not cleaned during our stay, which I understand can be different since 2020 but they should at least make it easy to receive fresh towels and any other items needed. We requested fresh towels twice and were given small pool towels once.

What’s unique of the property is that the buildings are separated by unit. The property is relatively older but the bathrooms and the living area are maintained and cleaned well.
The need for improvement for our particular unit that we rented is to make sure that the ice maker should be working and check the fridge’s evaporator fan. It was loud during our stay especially at bedtime.

I have stayed here previously and was very happy. This time was very disappointing. When we walked in there was an overwhelming smell of pot as well as cigarette. We were in a loft suite and the floor in the loft was annoyingly creaky. Most of the towels in the first floor bathroom were dirty or dirty looking. The top rack of the dishwasher was broken. The heat was inconsistent, overly hot in bedrooms and cold in open area. Overall there were a lot of noises. The property is definitely worn down and could use updating.

Better than anything we could’ve asked for
This is not your ordinary hotel. It was far more secluded, which we didn’t expect in St. Louis, and felt more like an apartment than a hotel. The loft we booked was spotless, fully loaded, and had more than enough room for all of my family. I don’t write reviews often, but this was worth it. We will only be staying here when in St. Louis from here on out. Seriously amazing.

Place was very nice unfortunately my room had big beetle flying bugs things in it. It wasn’t a roach so i didnt over react but yea it was like 4 and they were booked so we couldn’t change rooms. I do not do bugs so that made me itch. Desk dude seemed sorry but couldn’t even leave his desk to help. I was instantly Ready to leave but my kids wanted to stay.
We did enjoy breakfast.Breakfast was nice and fulfilling
Overall we did enjoy ourselves

Clean, roomy, nice area and staff
The rooms were updated and extremely clean, roomy and the beds were comfy as were the pillows. The pull out couch was nice as an option and all the shower soaps smelled good. They had a full hot breakfast instead of just cereal and muffins which is nice for once. There is a very expensive $250 deposit along with the price of the room which makes it hard to afford until they take the hold off after you check out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had 2 rooms for a family trip and no complaints. Will definitely stay again whrn in the area.

This place is not as nice as it used to be.
We stayed at Sonesta Suites prior to the pandemic. The property has gotten worn down. The refrigerator had a large dent in it. The mattress pad tjat was supposed to hide the mattress didn't fit. The fireplace does not work.and the logs were removed. The breakfast was burnt eggs, bacon that was cooked with heat too high so parts were under cooked and other parts of the bacon was black. When I stayed at Sonesta years before, the breakfast was always good with the hours being 6:30am to 9:00am and later on the weekend.

The room that we were given smelled horribly! The smoke smell was instant from the moment that we walked into our room. We went and told the staff members but there were no other rooms available. We stayed for the evening. We woke up the next morning with horrible headaches due to the smell. We reported it to the staff again . The manager was not in so they were unable to help us. We checked out and went to another hotel and did not finish the remainder of our stay due to the service and cleanliness of the room

Wonderful room. My only complaint is the air conditioner wasnt working real good. Had the thermostat on 70 degrees, room never got colder than 75. Shower was hot, had good pressure. Front desk staff was fantastic. Kinda hard to get into the property due to no left turn signs onbmain road. Breakfast was hot, great variety. Good coffee. Too cold for pool but the entire property was clean. Will definitely stay here again.

Comfortable but lacking
Disappointed by the stained carpet, stains on couch arms, and stains in back of kitchen chairs. Beds were clean and comfortable. Disappointed in the basketball court since that was a major factor in our stay. The backboard was broken and the rim leaning. Stain on curtain that could have been blood. Bathroom was clean but there was dirt/dust in corners.

Excessive charge for dog.
$100 extra charge for the dog to stay is excessive. And I didn't find out about the charge until after I booked the hotel. I wouldn't have booked it if I had known this charge.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Over charged $605 and the hotel is denying it. Pool was so green and cloudy you couldn't see the bottom. The breakfast was awful. It was to be served until 10am. We got there at 9:30 and there was hardly anything left. We had to ask for plate and cups plus the area was a mess. The rooms smelled like stale smoke. The showers hardly drained. They turned off our room key at 8am when check out was 10am. All around the property it smelled like weed.

Power unstable on property, rust and mold everywhere inside and out. LOOKS LIKE NONE OF THE AIR VENTS/HVAC HAVE EVER BEEN SERVICED. Caked, I'm talking CAKED with dust. Clear black mold on the HVAC ducts. Door lock was shaky with every door close and the entire handle could be removed from the door! Give me a break! Room was hard to find, muddy path led to the stairs. Sketchy guys standing on balcony staring you down everytime you walk out of your door. DO NOT STAY HERE. 0/5 THANK GOD IT WAS ONLY 1 NIGHT.

Service was excellent. Needed bedding for the fold out couch and the desk manager brought it in less than 5 minutes. Room was clean, bed was comfortable but could have used more pillows and another blanket. We did not ask for them though.

We celebrated my daughter's 11th birthday there with three of her friends. The layout of the room was perfect. The pool area, bbq pit and basketball court were all a hit.
Disappointed that they have not brought back their morning breakfast buffet but we were alerted to that prior to arriving.
The hotel is located in Chesterfield which is a nice suburb of St. Louis. Safe and convenient to restaurants and shopping.

We've stayed here multiple times, however it had been a couple years since the last trip. The apartment like setup is still enjoyable. However the furniture in the units is starting to show it's age. Specifically the chairs/stools at the kitchen counter. They were wobbly, years ago. Now they're even more so and the fabric is showings its age with numerous stains. The pots/pans, dishes and flatware is also missing mismatched, as where that wasn't the case last time. We asked for an additional fork and they had trouble finding one.
The pictures they include on Expedia aren't correct, they show the loft option for various rooms.
There is construction going on next door, didn’t hear it, but had to navigate around work trucks as we arrived and left.(as of 8/23)
We were placed directly next to the pool, asked for a different more quiet room and was denied.
Get to breakfast early because even though it's lacking, it runs out fast.
On our second night we had child elephants staying above us. We never complained about the 3am circus, so can't fault the hotel, but something to consider if you get a lower level room.
In all still an ok stay, but it's no longer at the level that kept us coming back repeatedly. Our next StL trip it's more likely we'll be open to staying elsewhere.

We got the loft room, Plenty space for 4-6 people family. Unfortunately the carpet was not vacuum, there were no shampoo and body wash available, we requested, but never got. Some silverware were dirty inside dishwasher, Breakfast area is small to fit all guests. There is parking lot on premises.

Everything was great, only problem is, they charge $194 for the room, then require another $200 deposit ( on card cannot be cash) to be put on hold that will be up to 2 WEEKS to get back into your account. Then if you have a pet, $75 per pet nonrefundable. Then, now I'm at a different one and they have different amounts and guidelines, nothing is across the board. Great rooms, like a condo. Amounts charged ON TOP of room price is just much.

The place didn"t have a tv the first 2 of 3 night stay due to storm prior week striking bldg. Never told when checked in. Only told after mutiple request to fix. Asked for 2 extra pillows 4 times they never brought them. No complimentary bkft or coffee by 9 am. Never had maid service come during my entire stay. The rooms are spacious and offer good space. Yet, door in bathroom hanging off hinges and fire alarms missing.

Not worth it
Walking into the main lobby, we were hit with a strong smell of urine. Our room was little better. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean, but it looked like the sheets hadn't been changed, just beds remade. Because it was clearly old, and the HVAC system seemed in need of replacement, the humidity in the room was palpable. It made everything feel moist, and the sofa feel sticky. The carpet and sofa were covered with stains, several light bulbs needed replacing, vents we're dusty, and it smelled like an old bowling alley. We left when we found little black specs that smeared under one pillow and black hairs under the covers of another bed.

Property was clean and looked nice from the outside. Breakfast was pretty good as well. The room could us a little extra cleaning. The table was a little greasy/sticky, the carpet was the same with old gun stuck to the floor, and they were very scarce on the dishes/cookware they had. The beds were clean and comfortable. Lots of room for a large family without having to break the bank like the major hotels. We would definitely stay again due to the convenience to the interstate as well. 😊

HUGE LET DOWN THIS TIME
Usually this property is pretty clean. This stay it was very dirty. Carpet was disgusting. Childrens toys under couch and the stench of cigarettes was throughout the room!
