Water pressure not very good, also appeared to be short staffed (not unusual) during holiday. Towels and linens were not changed during 4 day stay. Gave it average rating, not great, not terrible.

Room had a bar of soap that had been used. The night I was there a party went on all night in an upstairs unit. Poorly trained desk staff. A hold for incidentals that is still on my card a week later because my check out wasn’t processed properly. Good location but I won’t be staying here again.

The check in and check out was easy. The staff at the front desk were nice and friendly.
We did not like the stopped up shower. There was so much hair clogged up in the drain that the water would not drain. I cleaned it out using several paper towels. The part under the silver plate over the drain was filthy.
Also there was hardly any food offered at breakfast. There was not much variety or very much food at all when we went early or later. The breakfast was very disappointing.

What happened to the beautiful properties of Marri
The room was filthy. This is not at all what I have come to expect of Marriott. I was very disappointed and so not be staying there again. The doors were nasty. There was so much filth, beyond dust on the vents, lamp shades. There were bugs. It was gross. I felt like I was staying in a cheap hotel.

Nice place and stay but there needs to be better
Upon entering the room there were balled up paper and old water bottles in the windows, under the bed in the second bedroom
And there where tons of fake money all over the place which made fun for the kids to find but I was having a fit because only the Lord knows where it had been.

We have checked in on 8/19 and the person at the reception was not at all professional. Later from room request two blankets and in repose that person asked me go at front desk and collect blankets. He was very rude and unprofessional, will never stay again

Disappointing
The bathroom floor had cracks in the laminate. There was dust everywhere. I don’t understand how it has the rating that it did. Breakfast we completely gone and was not restocked by 9am on Friday and Saturday. You would think with it being a marriot it would have a certain standard.

We expected a room with a separation as shown in the picture. We selected it based on the picture, but it was totally different. It didn’t have pillows and bedsheets for the third party so I went to the lobby to get extras. Other than that, it was a quiet place to stay in.

The rooms were very dirty and worn. There were holes in walls and ceilings. Stains were on walls. The entire space was dusty. Standing dust on lift ledge and ceiling fan. There were stains on comforter. Rooms were very old and in need of a complete gut and renovation. I was very disgusted and disappointed. I won’t ever stay here again and I dont think I will use Expedia to book my future hotel stays.

We had traveled for 2 weeks and this is the only hotel that we would not go back to. We had reserved a room for 3 travelers. We only had 2 bath towels. There we no extra linens or pillows for the pull out bed. There was a fitted sheet already on the pull out bed but it looked used. We only had a half a roll of toilet paper. At breakfast, they had run out of coffee. The property is very aged.

Staff was rude i was charged for things without being notified charged for deposits on rooms i was no in our room was downsized without notice due to the shower not draining. No breakfast even though it stated breakfast included. Overall awful stay

The room we stayed in wasn’t clean. There was hair in the shower and a sticky substance on the wall. Overall the room looked clean but the more you looked around and observed things the dirtier it got. Staff was nice and check in and out was easy.

took woman at recenption desk approx 30 minutes to check in the person in front of us and about the same for us. she moved between three different computers, which kept logging her out. she was using someone else credentials and did not have her own password. suite seemed very new, was nice. however group next to us was having a birthday party outside their suite and in, with about ten girls talking and singing always at top of their lungs. had a male friend over too in hoodie smoking dope just outside our door. kept it up for over an hour until finally someone made them leave around 11pm. won't stay here again. no breakfast as the person supposed to deliver it did not show. smelled like cat piss just outside reception door

The place was fine, just older and in need of some update. I woukd have rated higher, but our first night after we had gone to bed, someone opened our door - luckily we had the top latch. Pretty sure it was an employee and it was just a mistake, but they didn't even stop to apologize, so we were left a little shaken and wondering.

Space nicely designed, comfortable bed. Amenities not impressive. For instance, hated shampoo/conditioner (had to go to main desk to get shampoo because there wasn't any in room. Hangers were kind of crappy. Neither coffee nor orange juice at breakfast was very good.

We arrived and our room was dirty and located along a noisy road. They moved us and the next room had mold in the bathtub, a closet and sheets that smelled strongly of weed, two towels for three people, no clicker for the TV, and carpets that left your socks very dirty. The next day we were gone all day and when we came home late there were no fresh linens or towels. We called and were told housekeeping was available only after “a week stay.” Prom party was happening that night in another room. Breakfasts were laughable with no warm foods. Totally disappointed with this experience (and btw, this is my first review ever written). Avoid this hotel.

Staff was nice but man….I can’t believe Marriott has its name on this place. Carpets had stains on them, outside of front door was beat to hell, a few hairs on the shower wall, no cover for the AC vent in the bathroom, and anything from pencil marks to just unknown materials on the bathroom door. Def won’t be staying here again when I come to STL

The woman who checked us in, Reese, was outstanding. She was sincerely pleasant, efficient, and hepful. I'm not from this state nor do I travel a lot since COVID. I wish everyone hotel was that I have encountered in the past was like her. She should be a trainer for that position and more.

The pipes in the unit I was I was in burst. So there no water in the room I was in. The room I was given was only 1 bedroom. I had paid for a 2 bedrooms.

I arrived for a weekend stay at 1 pm Friday. No room was available so the staff said I'd have to wait until 3pm-4pm, but she would call me when my room was ready. She never called and when I got back to the check-in desk at 4:05pm, it was unstaffed and there were 6-7 guests standing there waiting to be checked in. Worst check-in experience ever. Shower was way too narrow.

After arriving there was an 1 1/2 hour wait for our room on a hot day.
We were told there be a discount for the inconvenience. Only to be told Hotels.com would have to be contacted 1st…makes no sense to me.
This was unsatisfactory at best after a 4 hour drive

The property was convenient for Washington University graduation activities.
It was extremely noisy. The room had not been well-cleaned. Dirt was everywhere. The shower overflowed. I questioned the safety of the location. Police were on site two nights that I was there. The dining area was always running out of food and beverages. The cleanliness of the dining area was questionable. The refrigerator made loud motor noises.
The good thing was that all of the staff were quite pleasant and tried to accommodate requests as much as possible.

Stayed to see my daughter at Wash U. It was comfortable and nice. Parking is difficult as the lot is cramped and several trailers were on both sides of parking lot limiting spaces.

Room was great. Staff was really great. I only gave 4 of 5 stars because parking was really limited due to multiple storage containers stacked everywhere around the entire complex. Also residents were pretty loud late into the night and disrespectful and loitering quite a bit. It’s also apartment style, not a typical hotel style. Management was extremely friendly though and breakfast was great.

Staff were very pleasant and salvaged what would have otherwise been a very frustrating stay. When we arrived, the only thing that appeared to have been prepped in the room was the bed; previous occupants' towels and personal belongings had been left behind, and no toiletries were in the room. The location is a challenge, right next to the highway, so noise is of course a factor, especially when travelling with a toddler. The facility generally just needs some renovations and TLC - particularly when compared to other Residence Inn's flying under the Marriott logo. Breakfast selection was not huge, but quite good, and the staff were clearly hustling the whole time.

The photos are very misleading. It is more like an apartment complex than a hotel. Our deadbolt did not work and the parking lot is very narrow. Continent location.

I rented the penthouse with the loft. I come with 3 tvs nd literally NONE of them worked!!!! The whole time i was there (4 days) i complained twice about it and the lady at the front desk said shed send someone while we were out to fix it but it NEVER happened!!!! The property had trash ALL over and the parking spaces were filled up with huge aluminum containers making it extremely difficult to park in the few spaces that were actually available!!!! There was also spray paint all over the ground in several locations.....not what you would expect for that area of st. Louis. Overall? Dissapointed!

Do not stay here. Room reeked of marijuana and did not have properly functioning hot water. Loud music and yelling from nearby unit throughout the night. Police presence at entrance to facility.

It was a moldy wet carpet dangerous place. It was right next to the metro link. My key card never worked. I expected decent. I’ve spent 30 years as an interior architect for hotels. It’s a tear down.😕

Location is great. Close to shopping and restaurants. The staff was approachable. They had us sign a code of conduct form upon arrival (saying we would be courteous and respectful of the room and property and would not smoke). Unfortunately, the room that we were assigned had a strong stench of “smoke” despite our reservation being for a non-smoking room. We had planned to stay two nights but left after the first (poor sleep due to smoke smell) and were not charged for the second night. The property is not your typical Marriott quality at this time. Our room was clean, but dated and the pull-out couch was not operational.

I was booked for a king bed and after going to the hotel three times (as the room was not ready) my husband and I were put into a queen room with filthy bathroom and a stain on the white sheet. As I have stayed here several times in the past for work with much better results, I was extremely embarrassed to now share this room with my husband. We were very dissappointed.

Plus: The room is very big and the staff is nice.
Minus: The place is dirty. The bed, bathroom were cleaned fine but the carpet and furniture had many stains and overall a feeling the place was at least 30 years old. Could not use the fireplace (no wood).

We've stayed here, a lot. Slowly watching the property degrade. Nothing specific, just getting old. Tub drain that does not drain. Towel rack hanging loose on wall, doors that don't close properly, etc. Used to have security on weekends, no more. Food choices continue to be more limited.
Positive: Close to lots of things. Two bed, two bath! is nice. Lots of space in these units. Basically, a condo unit, your own door, etc. Pet friendly (for a charge). Just sad to see it continue to degrade.

This is a quiet nice affordable hotel. The rooms are more like small studio apartments. I loved it. The staff were friendly. It is a short walk to both the Metro train and the Galeria mall. Definitely will use again
