Not enough adequate hot water for shower../ice on walkways and parking lot

There were black hairs ALL over the bed. Noticed clumps of hair around the room at the edges. The shower had 6 minutes of hot water and was then freezing. Seen a guy touching himself in the parking lot one night. Tried to check out in the morning but there was no one at the front desk. I travel for work and wont be staying here ever again.

We love the loft room! Being able to walk to WalMart next door is convenient - and a very welcome after spending a lot of time in the car. Also Dunkin' coffee, sammiches, etc.

Bearable if not for roach in fridge
Decent place for the Price. Did however find a live roach in the fridge. Few things were dusty, remotes for TVs didn’t work properly.
The floor noise is almost unbearable. The key card lock definitely needs replacing, works when it wants to.

The room had not been swept or vacuumed. The mattress on the pull out bed was dirty and there were no sheets. I had an old eyelash stuck to my sock. The bathrooms looked wiped down but there were sticky spots. It was late and we had to stay or I would have left. Skipped breakfast and left around 7am.

The loft room is perfect for us.. 3 beds and a kitchenette. Friendly staff, great location.. we will be back!

The staff was nice but we had a few issues. The towels and blankets could have used a good bleaching. The wifi is unguarded so everyone uses it. & out heater didn't work on night one.… luckily the staff cares and works hard to fix the issues that we came across.

Enjoyed staying in the loft. The only complaint I would have would be that the kitchen wasn’t stocked with enough items to cook a meal, the downstairs bathroom vent fan was very loud and there seemed to be some sort of college aged party across from us that spilled over into the parking lot. It was very loud and a lot of drunk young people being obnoxious.

Location: very convenient for our needs
Communication: very good communication with property
Breakfast: the breakfast staff was very nice but the amount of food laid out was limited. It seemed the property was attempting to avoid leftovers but it ended up feeling scarce.
Layout: the overall layout and property was spacious and equipped. But there were definitely concerns of cleanliness. The floor was obviously dirty. The sheets looked dingy. The bathroom floor was very dirty. Countertops had visible debris.
Overall this property could be a very nice stay but serious attention is needed for cleaning.

The furniture was covered in some kind of varnish and got all over my grandsons brand new shirt and on my hand. We were on our way to my mother's funeral and had ni time to get a new shirt. Very unhappy with staff rectifying this problem. No tefund or any compensation. Said manager would call, but never did!

There was no room service. The breakfast was awful. Staff were not very friendly. Room was dirty. No dishes or pots/pans to cook with. Had to go to the front desk to get fresh towels and bed sheets.

Pretty bad experience
Checked in and went to the room. It was a loft. As soon as we walked in, there was an odor. The floor was filthy, sticky and crumbs on it. The chair had food on it and the bathrooms had hair everywhere. I complained to front desk and was told to call Mon. morning. Called all day and the phone just rings. Beds are springy and mattresses are dirty.

First the suite was roomy. Water pressure was great but the bottom restroom smelled like urine, the top restroom’s tub was plugged up but they fixed the plug right away. After my 2nd night; the power went out. I couldn’t stay my full 5 days because I have my elderly mother who needs oxygen 24/7 without power, my mother cannot breathe on her own. So due to medical reasons, we had to leave and go to another hotel to stay. I’m hoping they will provide me a refund for the 3 days I didn’t stay. I had paid in advance. The power was supposed to be fixed by midnight and the power went out in the morning.

Location was good but thats pretty much it. The property had bugs crawling around, wifi didn't work most of the time, there were loud banging during the day, and random people standing around in front of my room door. Also someone kept barging into my room at random times during the day.

Dated but functional. Good value under new mgnt.
This was the former Hawthorne suites belonging to the Wyndham chain. According to the receptionist this has a new owner, not simply the old owner with a new name and no affiliation. Essentially same as the old Hawthorne but the room seemed cleaner. No more iron, ironing board and hairdryer (we didn't see those). Breakfast is still simple but much better than the last time I stayed there when. It was still Hawthorne. That time they only had coffee and waffle maker. That's it. New management seems better so I'll continue to give it a try. It's dated but still very functional and this a good value.

The photos of the room were quite deceptive. They had to come clean the room again after we arrived and checked in. There was hair on the floors, it had not been vacuumed but they came and cleaned again. The kitchen was lacking pots, pans and it did not look all that clean either. The pull out bed was stained so we could not use it. As I said the photos of the room were quite deceptive and we had no other option but to stay after a 8 hour drive. I know I would not stay here again if the customer service was amazing if you all could make the accommodations match that it would be a great place to stay. #disappointedcustomer

Decent place, but probably won't go back
I was initially impressed with the room. It felt more "homey" than other hotels. Clean. Bathroom could use some updating. Front desk service was less than expected. Nothing major. It just seemed like the staff person was just there for the job versus ensuring customer satisfaction. Free hot breakfast was okay. Although the room comes with a full kitchen, I was called out by the attendant in front of others that I could not bring food back to the room. All other hotels allow you to take food back to the room. It was embarrassing, as if I was stealing food. My husband was asleep, and I wanted to bring food back for him.
Also, the rooms are a little difficult to find. All room doors lead to the outside, and the whole place seems like a maze of stairs.

Socks were black
My socks were black on the bottom after walking around the room for an hour. the bed sheets did not look like they had been changed and the front door would not dead bolt lock - looked like someone took a crowbar to it.

Let me start out by saying this hotel could be a great find if they cared about the property. I had two rooms. The first had no television in the bedroom, the tv in the loft didn’t work, dishwasher leaked, was missing dishes, sofa had stains and holes flooring around fireplace was taped down and several lightbulbs were blown. There was also a long hair on the shhets and a horrible stain on the shade in the bedroom. The replacement room had no tv in the bedroom, mix matched lamps in the bedroom, a stain on the bedroom shade, tv in livingroom wasn't on the wall it was on the coffe table with outlet and wallmount bracket exposed and no cover on the outlet. Missing cooking utensils and only one pot. The sheets had a long dark hair in them and looked dingy. Clearly they aren't using hot water and/or enough if any bleach because the sheets for came from the lobby and looked the same as the ones in the room hairs and all. Beyond disappointing.

Daily cleaning of room
The room was spacious and clean when first arrived. Disappointed that the room was not cleaned the following day, ie: clean towels and made bed, as we were there for two nights. This is an amenity for a paying customer at a hotel and that we should not have to request, it should be automatic.

I booked through Expedia, got a confirmation, then showed up to the hotel and they said there was both no reservation for me, and there were no available rooms to stay at. I had to find a new hotel. I called another Expedia showed as available for last night, and they too had no rooms available. I want a refund as your service is listing hotels with no available accommodations as available. I eventually called a new hotel directly and got a room.

Overall, I would stay here again. Close to Dulles Airport, public transportation and dinner/shopping options. The unit itself was clean but a little musty smelling. The sidewalks and stairways were littered with trash. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Not too happy.
Check in was simple and staff was pleasant. Room was way smaller than I expected or than displayed in the pics. The deceptive pictures did make the stay a bit uncomfortable. We were disappointed with the breakfast served. Burnt, tasteless cubed eggs.. no sausage or bacon or ham.. No coffee cups for the coffee and the mini tiny little cups for the OJ was so small I had to make multiple trips.

Kitchen did not have utensils, hardly any flatware, no paper towels, extra toilet paper. Furniture is old and very used.
First room assigned had awful odor, second room, the door was difficult to open with key card.

Bad choice of accommodation
I don’t usually write bad reviews but I had to for this facility.
The welcoming was very unfriendly
The room was not clean and smelly, floor sticky, bed sheets weren’t clean.
Breakfast was cheap. One of my worst experiences.
