Unfortunately after a long day of travel I waited for 15 minutes at the front desk before someone finally showed up to check me in. He then had a horrible attitude and did not even apologize for the wait. The room is nice but the customer service leaves much to be desired.

Decent hotel near Wolftrap
Bed was soft and sagged in the middle. No where to recycle.
Redone shower was excellent. Close to Wolftrap National Park. We will book this hotel again.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights on our way to DC. We liked the proximity to Great Falls Park. However, you need a car to get around, because the hotel is surrounded by main roads. The receptionists were friendly, and the hotel room was clean.

I booked king size bed. They change to Queen size bed with out notice. No explanation. The room is tiny. I never want to book with Expedia or with this hotel again. I have many other options.

They missed my wakeup call - I was running late and asked for a hard copy of my bill. Front desk guy got nasty with me, said "I don't need to bow down to you people" at 6AM, with no one else in the lobby, and he was just sitting there. I think he was being raciest - but the manager said I would be getting 35,000 points as a way of apologizing - so overall, I think there is just one bad egg in the bunch.

A good stay
The room is big enough for 2 people. The furnis new and bed is comfortable. Cleaness is so so. Breakfats is no good. Parking is not free, which is not reasonable. It is a suburb area.

The air conditioning system was very very noisy. Even after I turned mine off, I could hear a rumbling noise from the unit near me. It was difficult to sleep the second night I was there because the noise was so loud. Also at 11:45 PM, a car with a very noisy muffler pulled into the parking lot outside my window and was idling the engine for at least 20 minutes. I called the front desk and asked that the security guard go and ask the person to turn off their engine. The woman at the front desk said there was no security guard. I was amazed that a hotel that size did not have a security guard at night.

Labor day weekend
I had an issue checking because I booked thru hotels.com and not the hotel directly. The front desk lady was great and very patiently called hotels.com to resolve everything.
I stayed here because it was close to Great Falls and Chesapeak Ohio Canal National Parks - about 20min drive. Great location, many restaurants nearby. Room is nice-I liked having a full size fridge & freezer. Bed wasnt great- could hear the springs. They had good breakfast in morning - eggs, sausage, waffles, breads, yogurt, coffee. No ice machines on floors, but I went to the kitchen and the workers filled my cooler each day.

The room was nice and clean. Bathroom was clean. Pool is very small only meant for kids. They charge parking fee for your stay. Which I thought was unnecessary as parking was at the property.

My husband and I were disappointed we had to pay for parking! We never had to pay for parking when we stay at a hotel, that is ridiculous! $12 for parking! I will never again stay at a Marriott Hotel.

Small mildew Oder and shower curtain needed attention . The staff very helpful and informative on the steps being put in place to assure the cleanliness and sanitizing of the building , rooms in very good condition and have that home type feel to them , kitchens and dish are kept clean with dishwasher and if you prefer additional cleaning supplies for them are available ,laundry on site and fitness room both very clean , over all stay very good

Insufferable Hospitality
My experience, in regards to comfort and safety, was awful. The general manager, Megan, offers insufferable hospitality. She allows some guest to harass and threaten other guest, in a street violence manner, in the general spaces such as the breakfast area. I booked this hotel because of an expectation of an enjoyable and safe environment. It was surprising, to say the least, to find that the hotel promotes violence and harassment in their building. Unsafe hotel, I will not recommend if you are a solo traveler concerned about safety.

The staff are some of the kindest, friendliest and attentive people we’ve encountered. The hotel is kept in Immaculate conditions and the atmosphere is quiet and soothing. The hotel decor and rooms are nicely decorated and seem recently renovated if not a new build. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. If we come back to DC, we’re absolutely staying in this location. Dale and Kwamze are awesome people and the hotel team is lucky to have them.

I especially liked that the shower provides shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in a dispenser, rather than the eco-non-friendly tiny plastic bottles.
Didn't like how my room key got deactivated, as it did last time I stayed here, and the rudeness of the front desk person who replaced them at 3 AM.

Rooms and the dining area have recently been renovated but new owners have eliminated some previous amenities. Social evening function no longer held on Thursday nights. Monday - Wednesday only. No fresh warm cookies available in the evening. Only cold, hard store bought variety. No free parking. They now charge $6.00 per car per night. No free newspaper available each morning. Not even one if you paid for it. It's a nice motel but the previous version was better.

It was generally nice. It is almost 1 km to Greensboro metro station (8-10 minutes). Breakfast was very good. Room eas very comfortable ( including small kitchen inside). Two small things negatifly : Breakfast time was too early (until 9 am) and There is no shuttle service after 5/6 pm.

It’s a nice, either newly constructed or renovated property and they offer some good rates during off season. Rooms are spacious with a small kitchenette. Hilton needs to consider hiring security for their collective properties in the area. There was a group of people who partied throughout the morning and was so loud that it ruined the whole experience for me. I called the front desk lady and she talked to them but it wasn’t enough.

i have stayed at this facility before. the room was smaller. the chairs were very uncomfortable they had no back rest. the furniture in room seem to be low line. sofa was too small. door to bathroom got stuck to floor mat. the facility wanted to charge for parking, but after my complaining they waved the $6.00 fee. breakfast selection was o.k.bananas and pineapple was the only fruit offered. staff was very good at checking in and and checking out.

I stayed for 28 days. The staff is thoroughly engaged, and addresses customer by name. Impressive on all counts. The unit condition is excellent, as is the cleaning service staff, always returned to cleaned room with bed made. I give this hotel the best rating for staff, service, unit and amenities. I have three suggestions for the manager regarding noise that are not intended as complaints: 1.) address the birds in the signage since it was on the outside the wall of my unit and birds were restless and appear to have made it into the wall, two characters, ironically "id" are out indicting the birds are affecting the lighting of your signage as well; 2.) Remove or lower the "ding-ding" the elevator makes when it opens on a floor, in the middle of the night this sounds like someone is ringing a doorbell and is loud enough to be heard throughout the floor; 3.) Every Saturday night the club next door blasts loud thumping music that kept me awake each week from 11PM-2PM, there should be a noise ordinance; 4.) Prevent the dumpster drivers from arriving on your property or neighboring property before 6AM. These were the only things that were somewhat bothersome in my stay. Again though, I would highly recommend this site for anyone's stay. Thank you for a pleasurable stay Residence Inn By Marriott Tysons Corner Mall. P.S. Very convenient to the local mall.

The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The bed seemed small for a queen size, and the room was small, especially the bathroom. Despite these discomforts, our stay was OK because the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We probably would not stay here again, though.

The staff is excellent! The room and hotel itself were extremely clean. The breakfast area, however, could be moved to a different location. It is in front of the elevators and can get rather busy and crowded during the morning rush. The breakfast was great though!

When I booked the room, it said Free Parking, but even I checked in, the front desk said there would be a daily $6 charge for parking. I asked about why it wasn't free as stated online, the front desk said the policy changed. At 10pm that night, I received a call from the front desk stating they would waive the fee since the website said free parking. However, I received my check out bill and was still charged 3 days of parking fees.

This resort was excellent. The room was good but had only one incident . On the day of check out housekeeping walked into the room without knocking and were not dressed. This was very inappropriate of her. Went to the desk and reported it but all they said was we will handle it whatever that means.

very dissapointing
The hotel is getting remodel. the floor that we stayed smelled like paint. the room also smelled like fresh paint. i got a headache because of the smell. you also get charge for parking, and the parking spaces are very limited. very disappointing with my stay. there is no lobby. the hotel offers breakfast and the space is so close that 5 people makes the breakfast section crowed. there is no info on hotels.com regarding the construction on the hotel. if i have read that i will have not stay there, and i had chose someplace else.

It was a great stay. The only complaints I have was the cooked breakfast food was not well prepared and you couldn’t find kitchen staff. I also think the hotel was near a club, so in my space I could hear the music early into the morning.
However the front desk staff was amazing. Even with the construction going on in the building, they made me feel great.

Spend the extra for a better hotel
The room was a lot smaller than shown in the pictures. I was aware of the renovation so that was expected. It was difficult to find the entrance to the front of the hotel. Shuttle service on weekends was extremely limited and unuseful. The hours were 10-2. If you were going into town on he metro you would have to take an Uber back to the hotel.
Breakfast was from 730-930 but they did not have food items replenished so one the items were gone - there was nothing left to choose from. Both days we went down at 9 and nothing was restocked so the choices were very limited. The renovations made the hotel room worse instead of better with a smaller vanity area, small bathroom, uncomfortable bed and no work space. I travel frequently- I would not choose this location again. Go to the Westin! It’s much better!

Need for Non-Down Pillows & Comforter
When we specify certain needs on our reservation on hotels.com, we assume that that information is conveyed to the hotel. It appeared that didn't happen in our case. I requested no down comforter or pillows, as we are allergic. However, our room had down comforter and pillows, and my husband developed welts over his body as a result. We slept on the sofa bed instead (not so comfortable) with sheets only. Young man from Front Desk was very helpful and tried to find foam pillows, but was after 11 pm - couldn't find any. He provided us with extra sheets for the sofa bed.

THIS is the place to stay in Tyson's Corner!
It is apparent the GM actually LEADS his team in customer service. Everyone there (regardless if he is there or not) is excellent. Breakfast is hot and good. Very international by the way. If you are an herbivore, omnivore, or carnivore you can fine something.

I love staying here when I come into town. I love breakfast in the morning only when it's not crowded. I actually went to the mini events they have in the evening. it's nice to eat, have a sip of wine and mingle. granted I didn't do that much mingling because it wasn't my type of crowd but the host was friendly.

Everytime we take a trip to Tysons Corner we stay at Residence Inn By Marriott Tysons Corner Mall.. I don't have any real complaints. Always feel very comfortable there. The only thing I might suggest is a better breakfast. And for the breakfast to be extended a little later.

Loved the size of my room. Spacious and clean. Included a little kitchenette which is very accommodating when staying for extended periods of time!
Friendly staff - especially Dale, the shuttle driver! Always at your service, with a smile and tons of great stories! Extremely thoughtful also, lent me his umbrella when I was going to visit DC and looked like it was going to rain.
Breakfast is great. Cold and hot options. They also hold mixers in the evening.
Gym is a bit small but has all the essentials.
Close to 2 malls with tons of stores.
