Clean safe quiet place to stay. Local establishments in the area. Restaurants, market and variety of stores all in the local area. Great view from the balcony, watching the sunrise in the morning and the gentleman fishing morning or evening.

Liked that I could park under the building so salt air from ocean did not get on my antique car. Did not like seeing little black bugs running around in the bathroom.

It was okay, nice room
Room was clean and spacious, nice view. The bed was extra firm. I didn't like the heavy sales push and wasn't expecting it. I was not aware this was a time share style location. Also poor communication about the parking gate closing at night. The first night we pulled in and it opened as we pulled up to it, no problem. On the second night I got stuck unexpectedly having to back up a very dangerous, blind incline to go in and ask someone to open the gate.
Overall, it was ok. I'd maybe stay again, but it wouldnt be my first choice.

7th floor balcony. Our view was breathtaking during sunrise looking out on the ocean. The only downside was the pool was closed but that was not the hotels fault. Florida is known for its destructive hurricanes. Tropic Suns Towers was working diligently to get their repairs made. Amazing stay we had there with our kids. Our room slept 6 so all 4 kids had a place to sleep for such an amazing price! Awesome job guys

Family reunion
I had an amazing view of the Atlantic.I was on the 6th floor,I got some really nice pictures,the bed was comfortable,just needed a place to lay my head down,was to busy eating at local places and hanging out the beach,Riptides bar and grill very nice,I heard Hull’s was also a great restaurant..Chop Shop was very good also.

My fiancee and I stayed here for a weekend and it was amazing. We had all the amenities like a full size kitchen and 1 bedroom suite. Having a balcony with ocean view was super relaxing in the morning and nights. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return! All the staff members we ran into were really nice. The price was amazing and definitely worth it.

The hotel itself is very nice. However the latest hurricane damage the pool and the beach so there is no pool and there's no beach access. So I suggest going somewhere else

Sadly from the hurricanes, the pool and access to the beach were still not available during our stay. it was a typical hotel down on the beach in daytona - you can tell it was old and dingy but they did a decent job keeping the place clean. location was ok, not too far from things. overall we had a good stay and check in and out was super easy. we were content w the stay

Convenient and Friendly
The rooms were set up great, the views were amazing, but it was hard to enjoy the balcony with lots of previous cigarettes in the door track. Although we got there Wednesday afternoon/night, the construction was halted for the weekend. It will be nice when you have direct beach access again.
Cleanliness was at an ok level. The room window tracks were filthy and the tub/tiles had grime and rings..
I would stay there again though...it was very convenient.

The sea wall is under construction from last big storm. So you have to wall a nlock to get to ocean. Not a problem just a fyi. Place is worth every penny very clean and spacious. I would definitely stay here again

This place is a joke, I'm sure in its heyday it was a beautiful place but they decide to call me the day before I check in after I had it booked for a month that the pool wasn't there but on the website all the pictures show the pool and then when I went to check it out this little itty bitty area that said amenities had this teeny tiny tiny box with an x next to the pool and nobody in their right mind would have noticed that especially just looking at pictures. The shocking thing was that they said they did not provide shampoo that was just the stupidest thing ever. The ladies up front not helpful they were doing their due diligence to visit instead of really taking pride and taking care of the customer. Terrible place

35th Wedding Anniversary
This is our second time staying at this hotel, the ladies at the front desk were very polite and friendly they surprise us with a bottle of champagne when they heard we were celebrating our 35 wedding anniversary was very nice of them thank you again ladies. The only drawback in our check in was to get your parking pass you must go to the other building and hear a young salesperson trying to sell you a time share on the property and other properties in Florida. I felt very uncomfortable being pressure to buy offering us $200 to $300 visa gift card. Nothing is free in this world. Next time I'll think twice in staying here I don't want to go thru a sales pitch again . Is not the front desk fault is probably the owners.

Good location on the beach, nice fitness facility. Pool was a disaster zone. torn up and looks like not used in years. Kept getting harrassed on the morning of my check-out date about leaving the room at their "posted" check-out time of 10:00am, which is unreasonably early.

The room was clean but very out dated,while the property is run down,the access to the beach was shut down because of the hurricanes this past October, plus they go heavy on the sales pitch for their time share .Would not come back !

it was a good property for the price. A little old. The sofa bed was no made when we got there. The hotel knew there was three of us coming so he bed should have been made. There was no shampoo provided which was very annoying. The ocean view however was very nice. Also the pool area was completely destroyed, which was surprising

Room was very spacious and comfortable. Pool and Spa very clean, however pool had cracks around the edges and loose bricks. Not much lighting at night. Gate from Beach to condominium property no security features. Anyone can just walk on. Certain amenities featured on site such as beach bikes, beach chairs had to be paid for separately from cost of room.

I liked that the rooms were well equipped with furniture. I don’t like that the bathrooms had no shampoo. I didn’t like that guests were smoking marijuana openly throughout the resort and the strong odor as a result of that. I didn’t like that management didn’t do anything about that!

Very Nice property
We arrived two hours early, and the property was available to check in, which only took a few minutes. The pictures online were different than the room but in a good way!. The rooms had been updated, to our surprise. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals, and everything was spotless!
We will keep this one on our list for future stays!

Older hotel converted to timeshare rentals.
It is an older timeshare. The room was not as big as more modern timeshare and it didn’t have ceiling fans. It was clean with a fully stocked kitchen. It had a balcony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It truly was a converted old hotel. Staff was very helpful. They helped make this bathroom handicap friendly with a shower chair and a raised toilet seat.

This place is the real deal. Believe all of the excellent reviews- they’re for real.
Property is immaculate and well attended to by staff. Our 1 bedroom condo overlooking the ocean was fully equipped with a full size frige, oven, and microwave. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans etc.
We’d rebook in a NY minute!

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and we enjoyed having the option to cook there as well. The view was amazing. We also used the heated pool in December which was also very nice. Located near shops, restaurants, and Daytona but also quiet.

We really enjoyed out stay! The front desk was very polite and helpful. We celebrated our 40th anniversary and the front desk staff surprised us with a wonderful card and bottle of wine!! It is a perfect location right on Ormond Beach with great ocean views!! Loved everything about this property, including pool area, lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas, bikes available too!! Our suite was very clean and roomy with a well equipped kitchen and living room tv area. Our bedroom had a dresser, side tables and lots of closet room. Our bed was very comfortable. We felt right at home with everything. It was a great vacation!! We will recommend Tropic Sun Towers to our family and friends.

All staff were very kind. I thanked each one I met for what they do. It was easy to get fresh towels, etc. We grocery shopped and loved we could save money by cooking in the room. Nice kitchen area. Balcony nice facing the Atlantic Ocean. Beds comfortable.

It is a great property. Years ago I’ve stayed there, the property has maintained it’s value. Everyday the pool and jacuzzi were cleaned. Even the fold out couch is still comfortable. I still love coming here. The only negative is the shower had some mold on the grout. Definitely would recommend the property!!!

Overall okay place
Our only complaint is that the listing was advertised as a Terrace unit plus the photos which were of the actual room showed terrace level & when we called after booking the unit we were told no it was the 3rd floor. Unfortunately we couldn’t cancel due to NO cancellation allowed. Please do not advertise units for terrace level if it’s a 3rd floor. We had a handicap person with us.
