Receptionist was very friendly. We made our reservations at the last minute while in Dallas. We were able to get a reservations and were even upgraded upon arrival. Something to keep in mind is that most stores closed at 10:00 pm.

Disappointed in Pool
The pool was not swimmable and not maintained and I booked because of the pool. Even in winter I use it for therapy. There was no hot water when I took a shower and my toilet was broken. I was moved to another room, but was an inconvenience.

My check in experience was terrible. The person checking me in took over an hour to check me in and the key to my room was not working. I had to go down to the lobby over 5 times until she finally let us in with her emergency key.

Room wasn’t ready at check in time. They quickly finished cleaning it about an hour after we arrived. The room was warm when we went in. Turns out the AC was broken. They claim to not have known, but if the guests before us truly did a late check out and they had a cleaning crew in there, right before us, i find It hard to believe no one noticed it was over 80 in the room and humid. Water pressure was terrible, especially for a first floor room. Breakfast was either cold or undercooked. Silver lining was the front desk had a fan at 2AM when we couldn’t take it anymore. Some of our party opted to sleep in the car.

Hotel was overbooked, and we had no where to stay, worker said he couldn’t print a receipt to confirm refund, my son was sick and we had no where to sleep, he passed out in his car!! Worst experience EVER!!

My stay was overall Great! The location was perfect to the domain (4min drive)and downtown area (13min drive). The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room itself is a great size, clean, and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay at an awesome price! The pool was small but we still enjoyed it. The only dislike was the breakfast selection. The drink machines produced an unpleasant oj and apple juice. Waffles are my usual go to but the ones premade were disgustingly sweet and tasted like I was eating pure sugar. Overall I would definitely book again!

The attitude of the guy at the reception when we checked in. Then got to the room and was opened with lights on (apparently housekeeping forgot to close it). Then one of the rooms (we reserved two) had different configuration from what we reserved. Lastly, the hotel is so poorly constructed, that you can hear when the guys in the floor above walk, open their shower and even when they open their closet. Terrible!

Dishonest desk clerk
I had an issue with the front desk. I bought two sodas with cash, but when I checked out the next morning I was charged for them on my incidental bill. The morning clerk said there was no cash in the drawer. I think the night clerk is taking the money assuming nobody will catch the small amount of theft.

Very disappointed for a Marriott property
I checked in at 4 the check in was smooth and rhe tall African American Gentlemen at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Which is what I expect from any of the Marriott properties. I immediately get to my room i was traveling from Illinois to Texas. I noticed the living room area had a samsung smart tv but you couldn't use the smart tv features like Netflix or Prime video. No smart tv in the bedroom. I have been a guest at residence inn, courrtyard and Fairfield and always had a smart tv. The next day i called down to the front desk and the girl that answered the phone was very rude and in friendly. In this same day no one came to clean my room ans then when i inquired for rhe 3rd time house keeping did not clean the shower or bath tub but she but fresh towels in there. The iron doesn't work kept leaking water. The faucet in the bath tub was leaking when I turned on the shower because the faucet was not installed properly to the wall. The property had no lotion, no toothbrush or tooth paste. I will never stay at another Marriott property evee again.

Great hotel
Overall stay was wonderful. There was a mixup at check-in. I had prepaid my reservation and the clerk charged my card for the stay (again). I spoke with other agents (Maria and Carmen) who were very helpful and they took steps to reverse the duplicate charge. Room was always made up and breakfast service was delightful. Hotel is clean and modern.

My daughter & I recently visited Austin for a fun girl’s trip. We picked this hotel for the location- as it is close to The Domain. We stayed @ a different Residence Inn in February that had a similar name & we were expecting this hotel to be that hotel. The staff informed us that there was a recent name change with 2 Residence Inn’s, both of which are near The Domain. Anyway, this hotel is also very nice. It’s new & clean. The staff were very friendly & helpful. We would stay at either of the Residence Inn hotels located near The Domain.

Don’t stay here
We prepaid for a 1 bedroom suite and it turns out they have NONE of those rooms because they are renovating the hotel. They never notified us that our room was unavailable. The room we stayed in ultimately was a studio suite (no door) and had many problems: Pubic hair in the tub, paint chips on the floor due to the unswept renovations (they never swept or mopped the dusty halls in the 2 days we were there). The kitchen sink leaked (read: poured water on the floor every time you turned it on). The phone did not work and the wall plug on it was broken. The silverware drawer didn’t have what it should. See photos. Every time I talked to the front desk or the manager or even Marriott’s 800 number, I got the response “Unfortunately there is nothing we can do.” They refused to send housekeeping because I didn’t tell them the day before (nobody said I had to). They refused to refund me the price difference between the room I paid for and the one I got. They refused to let me sit down and feed a baby while looking for another hotel without paying for a room for an entire night. I paid $400 for 2 nights in the worst hotel I have ever seen. Do yourself a favor and cancel now while you can, or better yet just book another hotel. There’s an Embassy Suites across the street and it is way nicer. Even after the renovations are done and the rooms may be nicer and clean, the same rude people will be working at the Residence Inn, so I won’t be back. Stay somewhere else.

Hotel is under construction so the entrance and hallways are a mess. No coffee maker in the room and none downstairs until they serve breakfast at 6:30am. They are out of disposable utensils. So how are you supposed to eat yogurt or cereal or waffles?? Not a good experience!

They have terrible service, they emailed me 10 minutes before check in to let me know that they were under renovation and wouldn’t have a room for me so I asked if they could give me a different room and they told me they only had one room with a queen bed and o told them I had 6people with me and that was the reason why I had got the room I did and wouldn’t give me at least two rooms. They’ve been under renovations for a month and waited 10 minutes before I check in to tell me I had no room so I had to look for a room for 6 people last minute when I was already arriving to my destination.

Disappointed
The hotel was in poor condition. I checked into my room to find the bathroom sink would not drain, many of the light bulbs were not working . Overall cleanliness and condition of the room was a bit disappointing. I requested the front desk to fix the sink drain and lights that weren’t working. They required you to leave your room unoccupied for three hours before they can come in and fix...kind of an absurd policy. I understand being safe due to COVID but three hours isn’t going to magically get rid of any germs/virus. Overall stay for the hotel 2/5

Costly extra pet cost
The hotel was very nice. But i did not expect non refundable $100 extra fee for our dog. Most hotels we have stayed in are $15 or refundable. It said pet friendly....but not happy yo find out that when we got here

The only things that were nice was the woman who checked me in helped me with my bags upon arrival because I have a back injury, and the tub appeared new and clean. There were dirty spots, when it was supposed to be deep cleaned per covid regulations - the floor streaked out of the shower, there were dark finger prints on the DOOR, sticky microwave, and fridge was super dusty and gross with a deflated balloon ontop. The couch and carpet were stained. The kitchen sink and dishwasher both did not drain at all. Gross. Why didn't I leave? I arrived VERY late after a lot of difficulty on my trip to arrive, and on zero sleep for 2 days, so did not have the capacity to find a new place to stay, and if this room isn't clean, what are the chances another room in the same place would be better? The front desk did not offer solutions and did NOT tell me I needed to call Hotels.com to address the issue. I didn't find out about the sink/dishwasher until after I had used all my sanitizing spray and wipes on the room to clean it myself. When I informed the front desk, and all she offered was to have maintenance come INTO my room, while I was intentionally isolating away from people until I could get to my family...so I declined, and he shows up early the next day BANGING on my door, and when I decline to answer, he calls...not cool. Gross, poor management, uncomfortable in a time of high stress around Covid. Won't stay again and would not recommend.

Great rooms and staff but totally self-serve
The room was great very clean everything worked perfectly including the AC. The pool was perfect very clean and maintained meticulously by a very cool dude named Tre. The front desk people were excellent. The breakfast went from a full buffet to a bag of trash.5 oz can of orange juice a tiny Muffin top wrapped in plastic and an apple. Garbage Anything the room needed required us going to the front desk as there was zero maid service. In 5 days they did nothing. We had to get our own towels, toilet paper, toiletries, coffee.

This Hotel Saved My Trip
Front desk was amazing, room was nice, clean and comfy. I just left a bad experience at another hotel which really put a damper on my weekend getaway, but Hotels.Com rebooked me to this hotel, refunded me my money for the bad hotel which totally made the difference in my trip. I will always book a residence inn going forward.

One Night
Only stayed one night. Was placed in a handicap room which would not be my preference. The shower wet the entire floor up and the pressure wasn't good due to it being split between 2 shower heads. Also, I called the day before and was ensured an early check-in, but had a problem when I arrived.

My experience with renting this property was wonderful, my only complaint is that my son could not sleep on the sofa bed, it seem to have dried blood on the mattress and we didn't sit on the sofa because the throw pillows also had dried blood on them.....yuck!

Quiet location
The staff were friendly. Nice breakfast. Good neighborhood. After being out all day we came back to our room and there had been no maid service. It was too late for us to do anything about that. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

Property needs maintenance!
Very disappointed in this Marriott. The unit smelled like moth balls. We did not have ONE day of hot water. A family of 5 king showers in freezing water. They said they shut the water off for a while only after I called and asked. Never did they think, to notify guests. The AC did not work either. We kept the unit at 65 and it was at least 75-78 degrees the entire time. I stay at Marriott alot. NEVER again at this one. I will say the staff is very nice but did not really care about the issues.

Large room and kitchen but breakfast is poor
This was my first time in Austin and this hotel was by a large shopping area. Unfortunately I could only walk to Dave and Busters and not to the large mall since it was on the other side of the interstate and I had no car because my husband took it to a car show. The room was huge with lots of surface area. The kitchen was the biggest kitchen area I had seen in a hotel room. I loved the super lighted bathroom sink. The hotel itself was a maze to get to my room. The hotel elevator is a bit crazy and slams closed before you can push the open fast enough. The breakfast was disappointing and the bread had mold on it.

It was, over all a bad experience. What made us unhappy was the Pet Policy by that, $100 charge + 15% tax for a pet per stay. And if you stay only one night that is very costly. I will not call them "Pet Friendly" but "Pet Costly" location.

When is checked in they gave me a room on the first floor that was right by the pool and very noisy, they stated this was the only room free The next day they gave me a room with AC not working, it was 80 degrees in the room When I left for work I asked for someone to look into it, when I returned they told me it was fixed when I went to to the room it was not fixed , still 80 degrees. I then had to repack everything and move rooms When I voiced my complaints I was told I would get Marriott points for all of the inconveince.., I still do not have those Very disappointing
