No vending machines for drinks. Drinks had to be purchased at the front desk. Light in the bathroom was on an automatic timer and shut off in the middle of my shower! Hotel was okay at the price point.

We had a nice stay for a few days. You can tell that the building is older while the rooms have been refurbished. Breakfast was good, plenty of choices and the area was clean.

Was booked in a room 004. Next to the hotels linen laundry and I think dumpster because the hallway always smelled like trash. Was moved to 406 which was a fine room. Buy no room cleaning service. Had to get toilet pare at front desk, trash never emptied and no new towels given.

Room 216 had a very strong mildew smell. Upon further inspection, there is mold in the bathroom along the ceiling. Spoke to the front desk but 2 bed rooms were all booked. The hotel itsoel has a damp smell amd feel to it. Not great.

Carpet in room felt damp, which would explain the musky smell in the room.
Housekeeping didn't come after the first night, so had to track down fresh towels.
Advised the front desk of a clogged toilet in the lobby elevator, but they did nothing about it.
Breakfast was not inviting, the first morning, they had no pancakes, or milk for cereal.
Parking was a struggle among all of the construction vehicles taking multiple spaces each due to no special parking for them.
Only one elevator for this large hotel
On a positive note, it was very clean.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but the property seemed dated and worn. A chair in our room had torn upholstery, and the bathroom sink had rust. The air conditioning in our room didn't seem to be working properly.

Tucked away ,quiet, fixtures , older, queen beds were weird , frames were not stable it seemed when you sat on the bed. Rooms are a little older and dated but clean, pillows were horrible like sleeping on a wafer.

Very bad experience!! Took 3 times to get a decent room .. the third room is where I slept for the night !! The first two rooms had one full size bed n one queen in each room then the third room had two queen size beds ! The person at the desk who was a male swiped my card n still swiped the original form of payment when I booked.. I told him 3 times don’t use the card I booked with.. now I have two charges for one night !! One card is in the negative n that’s how I earn my money with Uber driving n I can’t drive till it’s resolved. So I’m losing income .. I’m a single mom n this was the worst.. I’ve stayed at holiday inns a lot n never had this experience.. I will not stay again n will tell folks not to stay also

I had a nice quiet room towards the end of the hall. I slept well, although the mattress is too firm. I was also able to work in a quiet setting.
Breakfast was predictable but offered enough to get the day started.
The staff is very friendly.

Fire alarm went off twice. First time 5am. We had to go to lobby. Kitchen worker admitted bagels had burned. Don’t know why they couldn’t turn alarm off earlier.

really good surrounding! The staff, particularly Ms Nyla, were so nice and accommodating! Just one thing to mention is the squeaky beds. and hope they’ll serve pancakes in that location. Otherwise, everything went well.

They are still using Covid as and excuses not to clean rooms unless you specifically ask. They do Olney tell you this.
Other than them not cleaning rooms the hotel was great.

Great stay; no complaints

Staff were extremely helpful, and did their best to recertify the issues we had. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Breakfast is still very basic (cereal, bagels, pastry, yogurt) and the pool is still closed. Because I booked thru Expedia, I did not get to claim IHG points or get the benefits at the hotel of being a member (ex: late day check out). Overall, it's a pleasant place to stay.

Pool wasn’t open. My room was in the basement. Carpet in room was humid and felt damp. Room was expensive as it was a college move in day. It was truly a disappointment. Glad I only had to stay there one night

The staff was very friendly and helpful especially the breakfast staff. They were extremely kind and welcoming. Unfortunately my five year old found a wad of used tissues in his bed. The ac had a strange order and the faucet leaked. After we had asked to change room I was later shocked to find ants everywhere. The bathroom walls contained mold and it became so uncomfortable to sleep due to the very clear lack of care. The pool is also indefinitely closed according to the staff and this was not advertised clearly as we booked this location specifically for the indoor pool. I have been staying at these hotels since I was young and assumed it would be a safe bet however after this stay I will no longer be using this hotel chain.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn was a real bust. We booked this hotel because we where traveling with children for their Spring Break. We chose this hotel because it was the only one in ;the area that had an indoor pool. Kids were very excited. When we arrived the first sign we saw was POOL CLOSED. We were told there was a "mold" issue in the pool room. We had no fore waring of this or we would not have booked our stay at the Holiday Inn. After staying for the night we went down for coffee and breakfast. While getting coffee we noticed that there were ants on the sugar packets. As a result do not eat at the Holiday Inn. As we went out for the day I requested clean towels since the maid service had to be request 24 hrs ahead. On returning there were no towels. I left to go to front desk but found a maids cart in the hall so just helped myself. On the second nights stay my sister cut her leg on the bed rail because of a metal piece that was rough. Thank goodness we had a first aid kit. Would not recommend or stay at this property again.

Coffee. The automatic light that is hooked to motion sensor in the front of the room was awful. Anytime someone got up to go to the bathroom the whole room lit up. Terrible plan. We couldn’t figure out how to turn it off.

I understand that the Clemson Hotels engage in market pricing during home football games. However, after paying the inflated price for the home football weekend, I would expect our room to be cleaned - at least fresh towels!!!! Room was not touched.

Horrible Room Location
Repeat stay at this location. Have always selected because proximity to Clemson (walkable) size of rooms, size of bathrooms and cleanliness. Very disappointed about room I received it was a few feet from lobby and next to dining area. It was across from elevator and unfortunately the noise from lobby was heard starting very early in the morning. I had booked a three night consecutive stay at a premium rate. When requested a location change I was denied. I wonder if this was due to using hotels.com for booking? Immediately after booking called hotel directly to make room location request which I was assured by male I spoke to would be attached to reservation. Pre-paid for room at a fee of close to 1200 and received the poor room choice. Very disappointing. I’ve paid equal amounts to stay at five star resorts. I understand it was a game weekend and prices are high, but yo arrive early and request a room change and not be granted was frustrating. I then overheard someone with identical room type check in 30 mins after me and receive a higher level room I requested. Not sure I will return to this location.

Desk staff was amazingly kind. The young lady handling Breakfast is super sweet. My only concern was the bathroom, we didn't have hot water in our sink, toilet was hesitant to flush, and some mold in the shower. Everything else was more then fine.

Great stay.

Great location. Room was nice. Breakfast was not very good. Shower diverter made a high pitch noise during use. Shower curtain rod appeared to be broken. The TV remote didn’t work well from the bed.

Great Hotel with friendly staff!
We had a great experience. Our room was clean, the staff was very friendly. They made the continental breakfast very easy, everything was very safe and wrapped individually. They had a very good selection for breakfast. We were there for the College World Series, so there were a lot of hungry men and there was plenty of breakfast foods. We did not run out of anything! Very pleased!

There was nothing to indicate that my room or its contents had been sanitized. There was also mold under the shelves in the shower. The bed was probably the worst I've ever slept on.

The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The sheets and duvet were also uncomfortable. The duvet was too narrow for the bed and thus my wife and I continually fought for more of the covers.
