Tempe ALoft is okay with its somewhat minimalist IKEA type decor. My 1st room on check in had problems ie.,
missing thermostat, phone didn't work and room safe was missing. Front desk worked to get the room safe installed but still no working phone or thermostat. Front desk kindly moved me to a second room,where the phone also didn't work nor did the room safe. All in all it was a pretty good 3-night stay. Grab 'n Go bkfst was okay. It's kind of a "trendy" place close to ASU campus.

Excellent place. Second time staying there. Wish we had more time to enjoy the amenities. Only issue was shower door was removed, possibly broken, and a curtain was haphazardly installed

They need to clean the outside tables off. Doesn't look like they have been cleaned for months. Turn on the fire pit at night. The pool was a little murky one of the days, probably from excess sun tan lotion. Car chargers are often taken, presumably by non guests. Aside from that, everything was great. Beds were super comfy, friendly staff at the front desk.

It was okay
This hotel was mostly fine, but I don’t know if I would stay here again. The bed was comfortable and I liked that we were able to stream movies from the tv. However, our room faced the 202 and the traffic noise was extremely loud, even with ear plugs in. I wish they had invested in higher quality windows to block out the sound. There were also weird smells coming from the AC/heating unit. When the AC was on it smelled musty and when the heat was on it smelled like glue. The staff was nice though. Perhaps a different room would make for a better stay, but I don’t know that I want to risk it.

Great rooms and location!
Great pet-friendly hotel that’s centrally located in the valley. Easy freeway access. Can see and hear planes from PHX airport. I appreciate the consistency of this location.

When I travel to Tempe, I usually book at the Aloft due to convenience. However, this trip made me realize it’s time to upgrade to a better hotel. The water never got cold in the shower and the room is very small.
Jemar at the reception desk was delightful and always so polite.

We stayed here for convenience after going to Boots in the Park. We were able to hold a room a couple weeks before and pay for it once we checked in. Everything seemed real nice, they were super busy with the concert being down the street. We checked into the room 10 mins before leaving to the concert and dropped our things off because we knew we’d probably be too tired (and drunk) to do any of it once we got back to the room. Everything appeared to be in order and clean.
When we got back, we found that there was a bunch of leftover food in the fridge from the previous tenants and the BEDSHEETS had blood stains on them as if they were never replaced. Disgusting. When complaining to the lady working she acted like it was no big deal and told us a manager would be in contact THAT day. Never got a call, called them two days later and she said well the manager has been out but that he would be back that day and he will call then.
We STILL never got a call back to this day. We’ve been waiting 6 days now. They could have fixed it had they called us back but they didn’t even bother so now they get this nice informative review to let everyone know what to expect when they’re busy.
It doesn’t matter how busy it is, I’d say minimum requirements would be CLEAN sheets. We have been very nice and patient when speaking with them although we’re upset and they clearly do not care about customer experiences as they never even took the time to call back. Pretty disappointing.

There was no services. We did not receive refreshing of the coffee. No one ever entered our room for any reason during our stay. For the price at other places we have received at minimum, straightening of the sheets and refreshing of complementary coffee. Everything was at an additional price. Not worth the price!

Nice modern hotel. Must pay for breakfast. 2 free packs of coffee for coffee maker but other than that don’t bother calling for more because they won’t get you anymore. Highway and road noise is unbearable. Now the really bad…. Went to the bar downstairs, ordered 2 domestics, the total was $35. I asked for a receipt and coincidentally the system was down and she, Liz, couldn’t get me one. I asked for a hand written receipt, she said she wasn’t allowed to do that. . And once again, coincidentally, the credit card machine was “down” and it was cash only. Homeless people walking all around the area. Wont be back.

Our first room wasn’t clean but the staff kindly moved us to another room. The hotel was clean. The room was quieter than most hotel rooms (plus it was New Year’s Eve), normally you can hear everything.

A hidden feature is that it’s less than a .25 miles from the Roosevelt Lake Art Walk which is perfect for a walk or run.. Also perfect if your fur baby..

It was very modern looking. Loved the bar and the pool table. Snack options were great. We found a needle in the bathroom underneath the sink. When we reported it, there was no urgency. I had to go back to the room after we were switched to a new room a couple hours later and the needle was still there! I have a toddler who was easily that height to have grabbed the needle and poke himself. Wish it was handled properly. The bartender was great. She was very friendly and helped create a coctail.

There was hair in the sink when I arrived. The bed mattress slid away from the wall. I paid extra for a breakfast through Expedia and the only thing available was a bowl of Frosted Flakes.

When we first entered the room. I had an off smell to it. Not dirty, or nasty just like a room or maybe cleaning supplies smell make it seem like it's been closed for ages. After a bit it was okay.

The price wasn't bad for fairly short notice.
It's a good location to get back to the Airport, or drive north to Scottsdale.
The vibe was pretty cool from the lobby and lounge area but that's about where it stopped.
The parking gets pretty full, and there's only 3 Tesla chargers which seem to always be in use for those hoping to snag one.
Our room had an odd odor to it, not sure if it was the AC unit, from cleaning after pets, or what but definitely noticed it. While trendy, the fixtures in the bathroom like toilet paper holder were cheap $10 home depot grade and fell off constantly. The safe didn't have power or work. Like many reviews said you do get a fair amount of road noise, possibly street racing due to proximity of the highway. No built-in USB plugs by the beds, just electrical outlets, which is not what you'd expect here. The room wasn't anything special, you're pretty much getting what you've paid for here in a not good way.
They could improve things if they added more EV charging, USB outlets, and had maintenance install new fixtures in the bathrooms and get those back up to new standards.

Was initially worried about staying here based on some of the byreviews i read on various sites. Thankfully i still stayed here.
The stay was good. To be fair though, I'm a pretty low maintenence hotel guest lol.
Location is great. Literally right outside the hotel there's an in n out, starbucks, waba grill, wing stop, and Jimmy John's.
Hotel was clean. I didn't hear this loud music that others were talking about? I was kinda looking forward to it lol. Definitely a trendy feel to it. Theres a bar and pool table.
Room was good even if a little small and minimalistic. Bed was comfortable. Tv and a/c good. There's a coffee maker! For those that care about water pressure.. you'll be happy lol.
There's an iron on the side of the bed in a spot you wouldn't think to look at for an iron..
The only things i didn't like about the room were small things.
- You definitely hear the planes.
- the bed often slips off the platform bed frame
- if you're traveling with someone .. the bathroom door slides across and closes but doesn't have a lock on it.

I want a refund for a room I wasn’t allowed to Use
I didn’t get to check in. Barbara! Won’t let me check in because I only had my iwallet with all my cards downloaded to the wallet I called earlier in the day and asked if that was a problem and I was told no as long as it was a visa it was fine.

The lady at the front desk refused to give me a refund, she said I had to call Expedia, which I did, and instead of giving me a refund, a suggestion was made to just change the name of the reservation. Considering that I wanted to give this place a try for the first time, I just changed the name of the reservation. We then went back inside and tried to check in with the correct information, and I was told that “I had cancelled my reservation” which made no sense, because I had just changed the information that it was under, and Expedia had sent me a new itinerary code. I was upset because the lady would not give me her information to proceed to expida, which was requested per the Expedia help line. The lady at the front desk insisted to roll her eyes multiple times at me, raise her voice, and ignore me, even though we were very polite. I let her know I’d be issuing a refund and she got even more upset. And then processed to cancel even MORE reservations!!!!! The man next to us got upset, because we were chatting about how she sent us the wrong cancellation order, and it was actually his!!! Haha what a coincidence. We ended up leaving, and going to a different hotel. Will never be doing service with them again. If someone in customer service clearly hates their job, then they should just leave!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing hotel for the price. Unique lobby setup with music, bar and pool table. Pool area is great - towels supplied. Room was so cool too - great setup. Shower was big and nice. Location to Tempe, Scottsdale and Phoenix can’t be topped. Bonus is that In and Out Burger is across the street!

property was kept up well. Staff was friendly. I needed a printer to print my boarding pass. Staff did try every thing but it would not work. Stayed at Aloft in November. Printer didn’t work either. But the manager fixed it. Very nice stay. This stay, coffee pot didn’t work. No microwave as promised. Nor was there a free shuttle. Had to call a taxi and paid $15 for an 8 mile trip to the airport.
