I stayed in room 201, and HVAC was so laud that I barely could sleep. My coworkers stayed in different rooms and they don't have this problem.

This is a lovely small hotel- very clean and well kept. No microwave but a fridge stocked with goodies and soft drinks. Coffee, tea & hot chocolate in the lobby. No breakfast but lots of places in the neighborhood to get something. Nice Whole Foods close by.

Perfect Hotel in Manhattan
This hotel was perfect all around. Clean room, very functional, in a perfect location convenient to LGA. Although I chose based on my meeting location, I would also return for personal travel as it is a bit off the bustle of the West side, yet very convenient to walk to shows or museums. Also near a station for the R line that goes to Queens and Brooklyn.
But above all, the front desk personnel was excellent. Very friendly lady, very helpful - that makes all the difference. Thank you!

Perfect short vacation
Check in was a piece of cake, bed super comfortable and snacks in the fridge were complimentary. Well priced for the area and friendly staff. We had very good Lebanese food next door at Omar's and several bakeries and cafes are short walk for breakfast. Good complimentary coffee. Subway at Lexington and 53rd is a half block away and from there you can be in Times Square or Rockefeller Center in 2.5-3 minutes. Never took a cab and got around all of Manhattan easily from this location. I would stay there again anytime

By far one of the best nyc hotels I’ve stayed in. I travel to nyc for work regularly. This hotel was super affordable, perfectly located and the staff were so kind. Also, even details like all the snacks and drinks in mini fridge were included.

The fridge in the room with complimentary snacks is perfect. No coffee maker in the room but they have tea and coffee in the lobby 24 hrs, perfect. The staff are super friendly. Love that this is a boutique hotel.

Blue Angel convenient
After a room change as the heat was not working in the first, I was in a small but comfortable room. What I paid was expensive for the amenities provided. This is a class 3 tourist hotel. No frills. Good location. Walkable for all midtown. Very nice, helpful and accommodating staff!!

Late check out concerns
For the most part we were happy about the stay. The one thing that didnt work for us was the 11am check out time. We really needed 12 or later since i have a 3year old that sleeps really late. They werent able to accommodate late checkout past 11:30 with their reason being they are a small hotel and their cleaning staff leave right away.

The Blue Angel is in a great location for touring Manhatten. Close to the Subway and walkable to many of the sights. The room was perfect for our needs (2 adults, 1 child - 11 years old). Two good sized double beds and a nice clean bathroom. The staff were friendly and welcoming and there were nice touches like hot drinks in the foyer and snacks and drinks available in a fridge in the room. Very happy with our 2 night stay

The hotel location was perfect. The subway was only a block away. Our room fit our needs beautifully. Plenty of room and nice big bathroom. Beds were comfy. Clean rooms. There was also a terrace on the roof that you could see the city from a different perspective. Walgreens was a block away. Plenty of food and entertainment near by. Would definitely stay here again.

The property was honestly disgusting. We were there in a NON REFUNDABLE room for 30 minutes and it was so disgusting that we left and I had to pay for another hotel.
When trying to take a shower, the water began expelling an awful smell. It was so unclean that the person rooming with me would not removed her sandals in her attempt to take a shower. I ran my finger over the one of the travel magazines on the night stand in the room and my finger was covered with dirt/dust. In addition, the “queen” sized bed was was barely big enough for one person to sleep in and DEFINITELY not big enough for 2 people. This was the worst hotel experience that I’ve had. I QUICKLY paid the extra $1000 to stay somewhere else. This detestable at best.

My husband and I stayed at Carvi Hotel for 5 nights. The staff were all very accomodating and friendly. My favorite was Mara. She made sure that we get the best service during our entire stay. The rooms were clean. They actually changed our sheets. I know they changed it but that’s another story to tell. Overall, our stay was excellent. I would definitely stay at Carvi on our next trip to NY.

A sweet little city hotel
Have stayed at the Carvi many times for long term business trips. What a pleasure. It is a simple little hotel with virtually no amenities but is clean, the staff is pleasant, convenient, quiet, and always comfortable. I just stayed for 16 nights.

We were in Manhattan for a weekend getaway and wanted a hotel central to our planned activities. The hotel is much smaller than I expected, as was the room! It was clean and felt safe but is run down and could do with a coat of paint and new carpeting! We did appreciate the complimentary beverages (water and sodas) in the mini fridge. Would I stay here again on our next weekend getaway? Probably not.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Carvi, except for the dismal location of the room. and not at all what I asked for when I booked a month + ahead. No one showed be housed in M2 unless they like viewing the wall of another building 15' away and light barely filling the 'courtyard' below.

The room was clean, the shower was a little small and I didn’t like the additional $22 destination fee. Never heard of that one till now. Was told the “complimentary” snacks in the frig we’re free and covered by the $22 free. Luckily we found a sheet in the room telling us to check the menu for prices on the snacks. No menu was in the room.

No side lamps. Since there's no windows, when I wake up in the morning, I have to walk across the room to turn on the lights. Lights are also strong white lights, which makes it harsh on the eyes after waking up, which is a sharp contrast to the dark dim yellow lights in the bathroom.

Mixed experience
We stayed in one of the inner rooms with no windows, since we were only really using the room to sleep. The first night was fine, no complaints! The second night was unbearably hot in the room (thermostat said 80 degrees, despite us turning it down and trying to activate air conditioning). Ultimately the hotel said it didn’t have air conditioning in the winter. Regardless, it was miserably hot to the point of us sweating and having to open the hotel room door just to get relief from the air in the hallway. Because there are so many hotel options in NYC, we wouldn’t stay here again and risk a similar experience.

My Carvi Hotel NYC review
Stay was comfortable, staff is always pleasant. It was my second time staying there. Very close to Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall. Hotels location is Midtown East but it’s an easy walk pretty going uptown or downtown.

Clean, quiet, comfortable - recommend
Stayed two nights for a solo weekend. Room was clean, quiet, mostly comfortable (pillows kind of sucked is my only complaint), bathroom was bright and clean, shower was hot. Also, location two blocks from a subway station is a plus. And all of this for a really reasonable price. Will definitely consider this place again the next time I'm in Manhattan.

Rooms lack a coffee machine and microwave. Without NYC indoor dining access, a microwave is key to reheat takeout or slow deliveries. Coffee is allegedly made in the lobby after 6:30am, when you are already heading to work.

Great place for a solo traveler in NYC. I was looking for a cheaper last-minute place that wasn’t dirty and had private bathroom, and this was perfect. I stayed in a queen bed w/no windows, and it was no problem. If you’re staying in a queen room with 2 people, just make sure you’re comfortable staying cozy with the other person. Front desk was super nice, and I was so close to the subway and great restaurants on 2nd Ave. Only cons would be the thin walls, but I didn’t have noisy neighbors.
