The hotel was relatively new in a nice, convenient location near shopping and restaurants. It had nice amenities like a restaurant and bar albeit very small, a pool, fitness center and clean, spacious rooms.
However, the rooms were cheaply built and the service was mostly terrible except for Claire who worked the bar and restaurant. Everyone else was either rude or indifferent and completely unhelpful. There was rain the night we stayed and the TV didn't work in my room, yet the bar TV worked just fine. Fromt desk didn't care and didn't help. The pillows were like stones and the bathroom fixtures didn't fit well. But it served our purpose which was a warm, safe place to stay for one night so i didn't have to keep driving in the dark rainstorm. The food wasnt great but it there so that was a plus in a storm and Claire did her best make it better.

This is a little hidden gem. It is a little dated but very clean, staff were great and it is so convenient to stores, eateries and close to highway. I will stay there again.

A very nice stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bedding was super comfortable. For an additional $10, my wife and I enjoyed a prepared to order breakfast.

Not worth it

The staff helped immediately with a small issue I had, they were polite, kind and extremely hospitable. Room was clean, complimentary breakfast great...I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Terrible check in
Check in was horrible. It took 30 minutes to check in and there was only one person ahead of me. The girl at the counter didn’t seem to know what was going on. It was 12:30 am and there were 5 total people in line waiting for her. Got in the room, TV didn’t work, two towels for a two people two day stay. I bought a drink out of your pantry and it had been opened. Found that out once I got in the room.

The only issue I had with the property is that the hot water doesn't get hot. It was lukewarm and took a long time to even get to that temperature. The water wasn't hot enough to get your wash rag nice and sudsy with soap.

To no fault of the hotel - there were doors slamming on my floor until almost 1 am.
The beds, however, are under the hotels control and we're very firm. If you're looking for that, this is perfect for you! I'm used to less firm beds so I woke up a bit sore from it. Otherwise the stay was very pleasant! Clean, very well maintained.

I found the room to be less than clean. But we paid extra for the breakfast which was delicious even tho the wait staff of one was pretty overwhelmed with the crowd at breakfast.

I liked the quality of the hotel and the friendly staff. The rooms were clean. Some of the shower gel, shampoo dispenses were nearly empty. But the overall stay was great! I will look forward to returning..

Great hotel, great service! The kids went in the pool but we didn’t stay in it long. The chlorine smell was very heavy in the air it was enough to burn your eyes. The hot tub was way too hot. Breakfast was good and the stay was good.

We stayed 2 nights and had expectations for the "Hilton brand" and we could've stayed at holiday inn for a lot less money with same results. The pillows and bedding were terrible, the hotel was not a hilton standard.

I stayed here for a little getaway. The best thing about this hotel was the breakfast. Breakfast was awesome and really really good. Once I checked into the hotel they told me I had a handicapped room and I am not handicapped when booking the room online there was nowhere on the website that indicated it was a handicapped room. Since i booked though a third-party there was nothing they could do and didn't even try to accommodate. I was very disappointed with the room. The room was outdated and I had to use a handicapped shower each day i stayed. This experience was not what i was looking for.I will not be staying at this hotel anymore when visiting the area.

*I liked the cleanliness of the inside and outside of the motel.
* If I had to give a suggestion of improvement, it would be for staff to keep luggage carriers at front door when possible, we had to go looking for one because we are elderly and have bad backs.
The arms/springs on the room doors need to be adjusted, there too tight and we heared doors slamming all through the night.
I'd suggest a breakfast menu with a better variety of food choises and prices. The breakfast prices were high.
All on all a good stay.

Communication/ documentation!!!
Everything was exceptional EXCEPT I was traveling through from out of state due to having surgery. I asked for a late check out and was told 12:30. I was interrupted TWICE prior to checkout with banging on the door from housekeeping. At the first interruption I told him my Checkout was at 12:30…..maybe he doesn’t understand English or he can’t tell time.

Kim at the front desk was awesome. Everything after that was barely Ok. The TV signal kept freezing up and when I went to the front desk I was told they were having issues on the 5th floor. But I wasn’t told that before we went to the room and they didn’t offer to move us. The bed was uncomfortable and the lighting was kind of dark. Expected more from a Hilton. Very disappointed

The room could have been cleaned better. There was stains on the lamp shade and on the walls. Although the bathroom had been bleached, the shower had mold in the tile grout. The furniture was very worn and the wallpaper looked to be coming loose in multiple areas.

The property itself was nice. The staff was accomodating and pleasant as always! The breakfast was really good too. I've stayed here now a total of 5 times. The bed sheets on one of the beds had cheeto hand prints on it when we pulled it back to disinfect and the hottub had black and brown stuff around the edges like it needed to be cleaned and we found the letter K under the bed...lol

Hotel was very nice. Lovely. Clean. Modern and comfortable. Location was close to main roads and restaurants and shopping. The Hotel staff was extremely disappointing. As a person with a disability, I was treated poorly. I advised the front desk at check-in of my disability and that I was traveling with a service animal. I got locked out of my room on the 5th floor and the front desk staff would not give me a replacement key, or let me in even though I provided my ID. I made a formal complaint with both Expedia and Hilton. I never received communication from either about recourse

It was like staying in a hostel within the Hilton.
I was actually very surprised at Hilton and also the price. There was some incident because maintenance staff was everywhere and wet floor signs on carpet everywhere. The smell was horrendous especially in the elevator. There was trash on the floor in our room (we picked up), peeling wallpaper, holes in the bathroom door, rusting fixtures, old chipped furniture, and, again, bad smell. Very disappointing.

My grandsons adhd medication was stolen from our room. We were there for 4 days and they cleaned our room only once. The room was fine and I loved we couldn’t hear anyone else’s room. The front desk employees were really sweet.

We travel often for business and family trips. The breakfast choices for free breakfast were not available. we were charged for yogurt and bagels. The pillows on the bed were so flat they fell behind the mattress and headboard each nigh which was less than a couple inches wide at most. The television was outdated blurry and extremely small for the cost of the room I expected more. I often get quite a bit more with Marriott brand hotels and will not be using Hilton in the future. the pool and hot tub had so much chlorine it left our children and myself with red itchy irritated skin.

My family and I came down for my uncle’s funeral. I liked the fact that the pool and the jacuzzi actually worked. Most of the time it’s always an excuse as to why the pool isn’t working. We ordered the breakfast. It would have been nice if it could have been delivered to our room but it’s ok. The only bad part was that my omelette was extremely dry! Other than that, the night desk worker was very nice!! She was the black lady who worked 3rd shift. She was very courteous to my family during a sad time.

I specifically called the property asking was the pool available for use. I was told yes. When I arrived the pool was out of order. This is the only reason I paid a considerable amount more for this hotel. Upon arriving the carpet was wet from a leaking refrigerator.

I love the location of the property. It is central to the Interstate and loads of shopping and dining. The only problem I have with the property is the lack of assistance or support you get after hours. When I arrived my television was not working. I called the Front Desk and the attendant told me she was the only one working (no maintenance or housekeeping staff after hours). I recalled having this same problem the last time I stayed at your location. I had to pack up everything and relocate to another room. It wasn't the attendant's fault, but nonetheless, a bother after traveling and finally having the opportunity to relax. It would help if there could be at least one more person to attend to after-hours problems. Thanks.

The room was nice and clean. The bed was not comfortable, seemed old; one could feel the springs even with the mattress pad. The tub had some kind of paint peeling off- had it on my feet as I came out of the tub. And then there's the clanging of the pipes. That sounded as if someone was next door banging on their counter. And lastly, we had to go to the front desk 3 times to get our keys reprogrammed, before anyone let us in. We explained that the lock was showing a red light. The front desk person said it probably was a dead luck... but proceeded to give me the reprogrammed keys, instead of coming up with me and opening the door to our room, which, by the way, she ended up having to do after we went down for the 3rd time. Half hour to get into our room! We were not happy.

My wife and I stayed here before a few years back and our impression from our last stay was enough to make us book again. We were kind of disappointed this time around.
The location is excellent …right next door to TASTE Cafe and DECENT PEOPLE Bar, and its within a few minutes drive to other local restaurants/ stores. Its easily accessible from main roads and highways. Abundant parking and the area felt safe.
The front desk staff were friendly, but we found they tended to hang in the back office and only came out if you stood at the desk for a few minutes.
They have a small breakfast set up that you can choose to pay for. We didnt eat there so cant speak to what was available.
The room was where the place gets down-scored. It shows its wear and there is nothing particularly special about the room itself. We found the bed comfortable enough but the sheets seemed worn and scratchy, and there was a large noticeable hole in the top sheet. The furniture (nightstands, dresser, chair and footstool) also showed wear. The curtain had multiple holes in it. The bathroom had peeling paint on the door frame. The bathroom lighting fixtures were probably the worst aspect…both were rusted, one of them had a bulb out, and the other was hanging out from the wall. In general, the quality of the room was not what we typically associate with this brand or price point. It was more akin to a Comfort Inn or Red Roof Inn room.
While we are unlikely to stay here again, you could do much worse

The room was very clean, but I had to change my lamps twice, then my room got to warm and they had to switch me to another room because the air conditioner wasn’t working, the refrigerator wasn’t cold enough, but the the front desk was very helpful and nice. I have stayed before but it was never like the last stay. I will go back if things will change.

Love that its affordable, has an indoor pool and hottub, and is near quite a few attractions/food options/things to do. It's also near the interstate, so the location is ideal for travelers either on a road trip or there for a staycation.

Mildewed shower grout. Tub non-skid coming off. Scratchy short sheets. Hard to get Internet access. I've had better rooms at the same Hilton. Booked through Hotels.com, so the hotel and front desk looks at you differently (for instance - Internet access) than if you book direct as a Hilton Honors customer.

The property was Exceptional! Very clean and tidy. One staff member by the name of Kim made it very hard to enjoy the night. She called my personal cell phone instead of the room phone. Just a very unpleasant evening.

Hilton Garden Inn, Suffolk
Very comfortable, clean hotel in a newly developed area. Reception was friendly and efficient, room was comfortable with a very comfortable chair for reading (much appreciated). There were several restaurants nearby, one right next door which was great after a long day's drive.

staff was friendly and helpful, but during check out staff fail to ask how I was paying the bill, staff automatically charged my debit card which I was going to use my credit card to earn points. Staff did cancel the debit card but the POS had already put in for payment on my debit card..staff use the credit card to complete transaction. After checking my personal account the monies haven't been refunded into my account as of Thursday Nov 11, 2021. As far as I know im being double charge for one night stay please can you look into that transaction so no legal actions be taken against the Hotel..thanks in advance!

Awesome customer service
We were going to check in late and wonderful lady at the front desk took my call, checked us in, and had our keys waiting with a wonderful attitude. The only complaint about my room is that the shower/bath didn’t drain well. The water would build up during shower and not drain for about half an hour.

Pool was my number one reason for choosing this hotel. It was clean and a great temperature. Rooms were quite clean, hotel and staff great. I would give it 5 stars, they even have breakfast at the hotel for about 10. Close to shops and beaches aren’t far away. Will return for a longer stay.

Because of what’s going on with Covid I was expecting a very sterile environment the couches on the arms were black and not clean the pillows were flat and mattress was warn we ordered a deluxe and it was a regular room there was no need to pay for an upgrade if this is what we were gonna get either way hotel should check quality control

Beautiful lobby and hotel grounds. Friendly and efficient front desk. Onsite restaurant with made to order breakfast (we didn't eat there but it was available). Comfortable beds and pillows. Rooms were large but do need fresh paint. Rooms had small microwave and refrigerator. WIFI was good.

One small glitch
The only issue with our stay was that it appeared that the toilet lever had just been replaced and did not function properly. The water rain all night long, leaving the bathroom a humid mess. On the plus side, the sounds wasn’t noticeable with the ac running. The hotel itself was very nice and the rooms clean and comfortable.
