Check in was smooth. That I will say. It looks really nice around the building. Even qhen you walk in your room its beautiful. But then qe discovered a shower curtain broken and closet door inside wih holes. I let front desk know and they moved us quickly to another room which was great . But once again we walked in and it wqs beautiful. But I had to doordash my own cleaning peoducts because atbthis point I didnt qant to bother thwn in the front anymore and we were so tired. There was trash feom the previous people under the bed hersheys chocolate and baby ruth and used coffee cups withbhard coffee insife. Blankets had stains that looked like blood stains. Tub didnt look wiped down toilet bowl was looking the same and at this point I knew whoever eas there before us had spilled something because you couls still smell it. I wont be staying here again. Or recommend it. Me and my family stayed.

Quiet, Peaceful, and Overall Good Stay
This hotel is located in a very nice area and central to everything. My stay was quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff was very helpful and attentive. The common area was clean. Breakfast was tasty. I wish there were more healthier choices (maybe add fruit or a veggie stir fry). The room was clean overall. My issue was when I put towels out, I never got any back even when I told the cleaning person. Overall, I recommend this hotel for your future stays.

Booking through a 3rd party does not warn guest of a incidental charge. The front desk called me a liar that I wasn't aware. I was not. I could write details of my improper greeting but I will not. I left and stayed with Fairfield Inn by Marriott

There was a sock from last person's stay left by the sofa..pillow cases were dirty fan in bathroom was very loud ...had to change rooms..second room pillow case dirty brought it to attention of hotel atendee and he discovered the pillow had a dye or something that was bleeding into pillow case changed pillow and problem was solved..breakfast was ok..nothing spectacular ...Check in time takes too long

The only reason I booked was for the continental breakfast in Suffolk but it was disgusting! The bacon and eggs was re warmed for the next day breakfast , nothing was fresh ! The bacon had brown stuff at the bottom and burnt pieces through out it.. the eggs was old and not freshly cooked. I been to a lot of hotel breakfast and I always look forward to it but this was absolutely ridiculous. The ice machine looked nasty, rust around the bottom and what to appear was mold. The room was good the bed definitely comfortable but the bathroom was so small that I had to have the door completely open to go in and out. I would definitely not stay here again

Only downside was onsite laundry machines out of order. Was told the machines were stealing coins from people and someone was already scheduled to come fix the problem. Front desk worker was amazing.

Worst hotel
The front employee rude, he didn't tell me where the pool, wifi connection, where the elevator or fitness center was located nor did he tell me the time for breakfast. He does not make people feel welcomed, the lobby was gloomy, there were no beverages to purchase, my first room shower did not work. I had to pack all my stuff up and go downstairs to get a different room, and the room had a funny smell to it. I will never stay at another comfort inn.

I ran away for the weekend!
There was a storm coming in for the weekend and I decided to go stay at a hotel just to get away. The staff was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about everything.
I was a little disappointed that the King Suite did not have a larger tub. I saw one in pictures on Hotels.com and come to find out from the Desk manager's research that is for handicap rooms only. So good to know for next time. The hotel was clean. The rooms were comfortable and I wasn't scared to sit on the couch for once.
The furniture in the lobby close to the desk could use some replacement it gives the hotel the wrong feel. The rest of the hotel isn't like that so it should match.

This hotel had more amenities than other big name ones. The refrigerator had a separate freezer, which was great! The free breakfast was very good…hot and abundant. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

An ok hotel
It was overall a good stay. We were in town for a family funeral. But the couch sleeper in room 218 had the springs coming out of it. My son scraped his leg on some of the springs. Not very happy.

I really loved the room, the bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. The only thing I did not like was the elevators were extremely slow and seemed a bit antequated.

Not too shabby
The hotel was everything you would hope for with the exception of showing some wear and tear (hall pictures peeling, nooks and crannies a little grubby, wallpaper coming up in the corners).
Rooms were clean spacious and comfortable.
The breakfast bar ran out before 8:15 all 3 days we were there.

We stayed 2 nights over the weekend at this hotel. Rooms were large and front desk was very nice. But the hotel floor was loud with young teens running around all night. No adult supervision of guests during our visit. Breakfast ran out and coffee machine stopped working.

Friendly staff, plenty of parking, decent sized rooms.
Cons- very small bathroom(when you open the bathroom door it is almost touching the toilet), elevators seemed questionably ( make unsettling noises, doors took and long time to open to let us off) breakfast options were less than ideal.

The overall experience was great. The attendant was awesome and I couldn't ask for any better. I did have a situation getting in my room but He was so nice and polite that it made me forget all of that. I really forgot his name but he worked from 2 until this weekend. Everyone was very good thoughtful and helpful. I really enjoyed it.

There was no housekeeping once during a five night stay. The bed mattress was heavily stained. Parking is not available later in the evening with multiple commercial trucks taking all the spots.

Everything was very nice. Unfortunately we had a room on 2nd fl looking over parking lot. There was a full shear curtain & two end drapes but no way to close them so the parking lot lights appeared bright when trying to sleep, use to totally blackout where I live.

Our stay was very nice....the staff was very professional and attentive. Parking and breakfast options was a nice benefit. The property is accessible to major highways and 20 minutes away from Norfolk. My only suggestion is to add towel racks in the bathroom. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.

The hot breakfast wasn’t warm - it started at 6:00 am and 7:00 am the food was cold. So had to opt for the waffles that were self serve made to order. Parking wasn’t great. Most of the spaces were a good 100 yards away from the property. Otherwise there was only 10 spaces that were close. Otherwise, it was clean and beds were comfortable.

One of our beds feel down but maintenance came in to fix it the next day. A piece of the lining on the wall fell off out of nowhere while we were watching TV. There was some kind of disgusting gunk in the drain that I had to clean out. My kids couldn't take a bath because the tub stopper did not work. The shower curtain doesn't stay in place and the shower head had a spraying leak so the floor was wet after each person showered which was dangerous. The toilet tank takes 5 minutes to full up after each flush so that was a problem when one of my kids took a big stink after someone has already flushed. Housekeeping doesn't check to see if you need any extra towels or anything during their rounds, they don't even stop by your room if you're there, you have to try to catch them. The breakfast was ok but they ran out of condiments and certain foods after our second day there. The area was beautiful but I won't be staying at this place again.

Perfect Stay
The front desk staff were attentive and great at explaining all of the hotel amenities that were available to us. Our room was spotless and the bed was well made and plush. Overall a 10/10 stay!

Pillows were flat and very uncomfortable. The walls had spills and stains as well as the sheets/ mattress ( sheets not full on mattress and was able to see the corner with huge stain). Our room smelled like burnt hair. AC hardly worked. The fridge was wobbly due to poor structure it sat in and when you shut the door it slide far into wall and had to try and drag it back out. The bathroom had used towels from previous guest on left hand side of sink. Waited 20 mins for someone at front desk to come Friday night. (Other guest waiting walked away frustrated) very limited breakfast selection. Asked for room service and didn’t receive any.(simply asked for new towels and trash to be taken out). Overpriced for poor quality/ service.

Quiet and safe stay
Comfort Suites was a fine home-base for our visit to Suffolk. The room was adequately clean and superbly quiet. Front desk reception was considerably slow. Breakfast was quite good! A little remote for getting to Virginia Beach, but worth it for the safe area.

The place was ok. Kind of dated. When I checked out I looked at my bill and saw they charged me for two more nights. And I was furious. They told me that I now had to wait 5-7 business days to get my money back. Totally unacceptable.

I really thought I would like staying here when I first got here but I think I stayed here too long. And according to one of the male front desk agents who said "I was moving in" . I guess he thought I stayed too long also. I originally book a reservation for 6days and then booked another because I needed to stay for an additional 7 days. So my total stay was about 2 weeks. The only good thing about this hotel is that the rooms are big and the breakfast is decent. But other than that I am not happy with my stay. I am a very nice and patient person but the fact that my key card was constantly not working was very annoying. I had to keep running down to the front desk and I couldn't even use the side door which is right next to my room because my key card was constantly not working. Then there is some mysterious charge on my account. I have already paid in full for two weeks. Housekeeping has not been good. They say they are suppose to come every 3days but that is not the case. I do not know what kind of schedule they are on. I only want clean towels, toilet paper and my trash taking out. That's it. The last time my room was cleaned they left my trash and didn't provide any toilet paper. Then they left a note on my bed because I have stuff on saying they can't make the bed if I have stuff on it. I do not care about the bed I just wanted my trash taken out which that person left. There is a dumpster outside so I have been taking my own trash out. I should have left sooner

Great hotel
Comfortable room, the bed was super cozy, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only minor problem is the temperature of the water does not get very hot so showers were cold ones and the tub didn’t drain the water quickly so it backs up while I was showering

Lack of room service
When I checked in on a Friday, I was told that I would only get room service for one of the weekend days (Saturday) and that there would be no room service on Sunday. I had to request the Saturday room service right there during check in, which I did. We spent the majority of Saturday away from the hotel, and when we returned to our room in the evening, our room did not receive any service. I went to the front desk and told the attendant about this and told her that I had requested room service for Saturday. Her reply: We're sorry about that. I requested clean towels each night. Apparently, there is a shortage of maid service workers at this hotel.

Our room and the entire floor smelled terrible. The carpet could use a good cleaning. The couch in our suite had white spots all along it as well as the two ottomans. The sides of the counter area also had muck along it as if no one wiped down behind where the trash can was for weeks. The mattresses weren’t comfortable at all. We tried to take our kids to the pool/hot tub and not only were the lights not working but both were unbearably cold. Overall disappointing and we cancelled our second night at this location

Breakfast attendant was the most unpleasant person I have ever encountered. The breakfast was mediocre and the service was horrible. He talked to guests like children. We were getting on the road early and would not let me and my family pick up a few items before we let because we were 5 minutes too early. Wow. We will never stay there again.

Disappointed…
Newer building, but very poor maintenance. Shower slow to drain, ill-fitting toilet seat, outside door access to pool area and then hotel rooms was jammed open, etc. This hotel will be a dump in a few years due to poor maintenance. Also, check-in person barely acknowledged guests-kept ear buds in during checkin. Party outside hotel under covered entrance(cars parked there with music going, people on curb, smoking, etc)

Awful stay!!!
This was a 1 night stay after moving one son to Chesapeake and the other into his college dorm the next day. The receptionist was very nice and the room was too, so I thought. While moving my son in the next day, I felt both of my feet itching. Later that day, bumps started to appear. There were 3 bumps on each foot. My first thought was bed bugs. I called the hotel the next day to explain. No one contacted me back. I called 3 other times and actually spoke to a manager the last time.He stated that he would email me the report stating that there were no bed bugs. I never received it, so I called corporate. The young man opened a claim and said to give them 48 hours. I heard nothing so I called back. I spoke to Jaqueline who was very pleasant and gave me 8000 points and signed me up for rewards. I would love to have my $193 back. I sleep in my own bed every night and had no bites, I sleep there for one night and get bitten. Where is the proof that there were no bugs there? You can't tell me that there were no bed bugs there. I have the proof on my feet. The customer service from management definitely needs improvement. I should not have to call 4 times and then get lied to when I do speak to someone. I wasn't going to give a review, but people need to know.

Overall, very disappointed. Bed was not comfortable. The in- room hair dryer did not work. The in- room coffee maker did not work. The shower water temperature would not go above a luke warm. We reported the problems to the front desk after morning 1, they were nice and friendly, but no Action taken. I do not believe I received the value for the cost of this room.

The beds are not level. I had to change rooms due to the head of the bed being almost a foot lower than the foot of the bed. The next room had food under the office table and chair. Still had a blown up party balloon under the table as well. Hair in the shower with slip resistant strips hanging and flopping around. The staff did seem to be a help though.

We stayed in a clean & comfortable room on the first floor the first night. The front desk staff was friendly & helpful, breakfast was stocked. The following week we returned to stay in a 2nd floor room. Broken bathroom fan, mildew in shower, breakfast ok. Front desk staff was still helpful & friendly. The elevator and hallway were in need of cleaning.

Wasnt a bad experience overall. Could be a little more cleaner. Pool was a little dirty and hot tub was out of service. I requested extra towel twice and were never received. I had to go to the front desk to get them. Key card stopped working twice. Not sure why because they werent near cell phones or magnets.
