Cannot believe the new security around the hotel asking all the time where are you going and asking you to open your bags to show them what you have inside. It’s just ridiculous. Makes you feel like you are an intruder when you are paying a lot of money.

We had a wonderful stay in the King Oceanfront Suite at the Eden Roc. The hotel is beautiful and right on the beach. Loved the beach and pool service, always had a chair available. Food and drinks from the pool bar and Ocean Social were fantastic. Overpriced but not unusual for a hotel bar/restaurant. The room was gorgeous - slightly dated but clean. The shower and soaking tub were divine! Staff was extremely friendly at every encounter. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. Housekeeping was efficient and thorough. Will absolutely stay here next time we are in Miami. It was a bit inconvenient not to stay in South Beach because you couldn't walk to many shops or restaurants, but it was quiet and beautiful and I would choose this over South Beach if I go again. I enjoyed being able to walk over to the Fontainbleu for additional food/bar options.

My kids and I stayed here and we had a great time. Very close to the beach which is what we were looking for. Staff was very friendly. Not a lot of options for basic food for my kids, but food was good otherwise. Will stay here again.

I found our stay at Eden Roc offensive. 1) I prepaid for "daily breakfast", but once there, was told that only included a continental breakfast. Had it said that, I wouldn't have prepaid for it. 2) ordered "Scallops" from the menu for $22. Received one scallop, and was then told it was $22/scallop. 3) Ordered 2 margaritas at the pool for $68. It was cold and rainy on our way back from our continental breakfast, no one at all was sitting around the pool. My wife and I sat for a moment on one of the covered bedlike lounges to talk about what to do that rainy day. Immediately, an attendant ran up to tell us we couldn't sit there without paying for it. I tip well and the staff was nice to us, but the hotel nickeled and dimed us at every opportunity. We found we had to ask, "exactly what does it cost , and what does it include?"... for everything.

Needs an update
I have not stayed here since 2017 but the hotel is now dated and obvious signs of neglect is showing. The carpets in front of the ballroom it really disgustingly dirty and that shew very poor maintenance. Our room balcony rail was broken. Our balcony furniture only appeared on day two?
The staff at breakfast was rude and contradicted each other. It was a bit of a comedy but certainly not professional. Other staff was great.
We asked the Concierge if she could see if we could get a booking at NOBU and she said sorry but we could do a walk-in. A few hours later I found a booking on line. She obviously did not do her best.
We asked for late checkout and the front desk person was pretty rude in saying we could only pay for an extension. I get that but there are ways to say something in a friendly manner. She certainly did not display a friendly service attitude.
The bar personnel, pool staff and doormen were absolutely great. The person that checked us in was very friendly as well and did an awesome job with an upgrade.

Minor complaints but overall stay was good. Room service for breakfast and food was undercooked. I had to keep checking with the front desk to make sure it was removed. Room didn’t have iron. Had to wait over 1 hour to receive iron. Like I stated minor things but over stay was great. Really loved my spa date

In general, this was a great stay. The view was amazing and we had a really great experience. The staff on the beach handling the umbrellas and chairs were great and attentive. The one disappointing aspect to the stay was that we accidentally left 3 shirts in the closet and called about an hour after checkout. The follow-up call we received was that nothing was found in the closet by security when they went up and the shirts hadn't been turned in to the lost/found.

For the cost of the hotel i think it should have been a little cleaner. The carpet was dirty throughout, the windows hadn't been cleaned, which makes a difference when in an Oceanview or oceanfront room. The vents were full of dust etc. The setup of the oceanview room was nice. The staff inside and on the beach were excellent. They charged me $35 for a microwave to be brought to the room. I thought that was a bit much. At any rate, i enjoyed my stay but will look elsewhere next time I visit.

Front desk staff needs to be better. Upon check in we were told we could get an upgrade to higher floors with better views by paying more. We ended up with two 3rd floor rooms with obstructed views. Our original bookings were ocean view rooms already. The lady didn't explain to us what floor she gave us, (we assumed it was higher floor) but just have us sign paperwork to agree to change of rooms with extra payment.

4 night stay after Christmas, while the sun didn’t cooperate during our time, the Eden Roc did shine and was a great value (family friendly). Direct access to the beach with chairs, towels providing food and drink service; 3 pool options; the lobby bar/lounge is lively but never felt overly crowded and Ives cafe good for morning coffee and light breakfast options. Ocean Social bistro is great for breakfast and lunch. Did not eat at Nobu but good option for sushi if you don’t want to leave the property. The 2 queen bed suite was spacious / comfortable and clean but could use some updating - new carpeting and tile would give the room a more upscale look/feel - balcony provided great views of the ocean. The fitness center was good size and has everything you would want for a full cardio, weight or machine workout, better than many hotel gyms at this price point. The property located on No. Beach is not a quick walk to restaurants/shopping further down So.Beach about a $15 Uber ride. Overall definitely recommend as a great overall value for a more contemporary vibe with good amenities and friendly/helpful staff.

Property had excellent service, which was highlight and room was cleaned well everyday.
Did not like musty/moldy smell in room. Carpets were dirty on room floor and in room. Junior suite needs more privacy with neighboring balconies. Things normally included with a suite were not, such as free water or free breakfast or free umbrella at beach. Front desk and breakfast restaurant did not communicate our pre-paid breakfast. With holiday buffet, restaurant staff did not know how to handle

This was our fourth stay at Eden Roc and the last one! The room cleaning service was very patchy and irregular. A good portion of the room furniture was worn-out and old, and the bed linens and towels were almost threadbare. The wall in the bathroom with the mirror bore stains and exhibiting the signs of unfinished and unpainted patch-ups. The corridor on our floor was consistently strewn with dirty towels and left-over dishes, and the carpet was in serious need of proper vacuuming. The wooden slats by the first and main pool were loose, broken, rotten, and very much prone to causing injuries and accidents. We had booked breakfast with our room reservation but at the checkout were told, somewhat accusatively, that we were only entitled to continental breakfast. We showed the reservation to the clerk that indicated no qualification on the type of breakfast and that we were not aware of such a class system among breakfasts. On top of that, one day we found a sizable piece of plastic in our pancake. To crown it all, we had to witness a shouting tirade by an Eden Roc individual against a contractor that was not only unprofessional but highly disconcerting and distressing.

The concierge was very helpful. Having not been to Miami I had no idea you needed a reservation for dinner every night. The balcony ocean front view was absolutely amazing! I felt very safe and would definitely stay there again.

It is not easy parking at this site. Not able to check in the hotel without leaving keys with valet. This lady who check us was not very friendly. Everyone else was was great and helpful. The pool was great and beach was great.

I had the king ocean front suite room. First off the room is very dim. The bathroom was disgusting with a lot of rust. The tub was yellow. The shower did not drain! You’re literally standing in a puddle of water that comes above your ankles. It’s so disgusting! They were severalllll bugs if different kinds in our room dead and alive. I instantly felt itchy . The staff was nice and that’s the only good thing i have to say about this room.

Eden Roc is classic, you are located mid miami beach 44th. Enjoy the beach and beautiful pools. We took a walk along the beach path. Fun sites to see. We walked to South Beach and ubered back. Enjoyed dinner and had drinks in the EdennRoc lobby bar. We had a beautiful, very clean, magnificent view room on the 26th floor. Overall stay was excellent. Very at.tentive and friendly staff.

I would not recommend this property my entire stay ended up being a nightmare from the moment I checked in till the very end. They damaged my Louis Vuitton carry on bag the bellman was careless and shoved my bag underneath serval other bags that weren’t mine and just yanked it out after I had mentioned to be careful with this bag. Secondly they switched me to 2 different rooms which were all dirty. When I stayed in the 3rd room it smelled heavily like Clorox and I called housekeeping to air it out as I’m not used to such heavy chemicals and nothing was done nor anyone was sent to the room to check it out. At checkout I wanted to pay with a different card as I when I checked in I provided an international card which I said I did not want anything authorized on the card because with the international fees it would be double and I would provide an American card to settle the bill the agent ignored my instructions and went and charged my international not once but twice and her response was like oh you can check your account now I refunded it and I’m charging the correct card and I notified her that it would take about 2 weeks for those charges to be reversed and that would be a major inconvenience at the end of the day no one seemed to care. I asked to speak to the guest services manager Nico and he seemed to be busy the entire day of my departure. This will be my last time staying at this property and I will make sure to warn anyone who is thinking of staying at this property

I didn't like the fact that you get charged for using the fridge. I knew about it from the description but the overall practice of paying for storing things surprised me. Some of the towels for the beach were with holes. The umbrella on the beach is $25,however with taxes and fees we had to pay $37. Our room had 4 people, we paid resort fee in full, however, only 2 beach chairs and towels were provided, not four. Overall, I'm fine with the fees, however, i'd rather have everything included in the resort fee or the stay rate instead of being charged for each sneeze.

A bit of a mess.
This particular Eden Roc is OK but not a luxury experience. The hotel would benefit from significant upgrades — half of the room was nice, but the bathroom felt like similar to a maternity ward with big, cold tiles and sad lighting. Staff didn’t follow through with requests for missing items in room. They should reserve one of the elevator banks as a service elevator. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night one night and they did nothing to accommodate. Also, when we were forced out of bed to evacuate, we took the egress stairs down and the door that should lead outside was jammed shut.

The rooms and beds were very comfortable. The balconies are large and give a beautiful ocean view. The bathroom is the suite is updated and spacious with a large tub and shower. My favorite part of the property was the close proximity to the beach and the chairs and umbrellas available on the beach to guests as well as full service on the beach for food and alcohol starting at noon. The only negative that I experienced was that the elevators and the hallways in the hotel were not air conditioned and the rooms took time to cool down.

You only get Dasani water, their spa is upright with moving around any appointments. Great staff at the spa but their policies are a little unrealistic. Slow in room service. Floors feel dirty they don’t mop it every day.

We had a great stay for a long weekend. Staff was super nice and allowed us to check in at 1:30 AM when our flight was delayed 5 times. Everyone was very helpful. The food was overpriced, but was very good at Ocean Social and also from the restaurant with beachfront service. Property was beautiful and well decorated for Christmas. Our room was large and spacious, and the bathroom was huge… we appreciated the double sinks! Be sure to arrive on the beach around 8:30-9 if you want to sit in the first row. Your hotel price only comes with 2 beach chairs and a small table if you get food or drinks. Umbrellas are extra, and are only provided if it’s not very windy. I will mention that we encountered a number of staff members that spoke very little English… however everyone was super pleasant and friendly. We would stay here again. It was a great spot to stay in Miami Beach.

Booked a loft, it was old and run down. Smelled like mold/mildew. They changed our room and put us in a regular room but didn’t make any price adjustments. They said they were unable because we booked through Expedia. I went to the front desk and she did give us a lunch credit.

Rooms were spacious and location was wonderful. however, the hotel rooms were extremely dirty. Restaurant and bar prices are extremely outrages for the quality and standard received. overall, we had a decent stay but were a bit let down by certain expectations we had of the standard of the hotel we were expecting and hoping for.

Honestly, for 4.5 star property I had higher expectations. The wifi in the room would not connect to my MacBook. It just wouldn't work I had to use my cellular data. Additionally the room was clean but wasn't kept well, you could tell a lot of people have been in that room. The plug for the jacuzzi tub didn't work and the jets were extremely weak. Additionally, my coffee machine was broken which I told them on the second day I was there. They said they would fix it that night and never came. I stayed for another 2 days and nothing. My VIP perc of late check out was only extended an hour. So check out was 12 instead of 11. When I called in the morning for later they only gave me until 12:30 and said I could extend to 4pm for $239 USD. All in all it was a good hotel and pretty. I would stay again if I got a deal but definitely not for their regular rate because it's not worth it.

Nice spot, nice views and love that every room had a balcony. The Eden Roc side is a bit older but they kept it quite clean. The pool is full shade by 11:45am beach full shade by 4pm. Restaurants expensive. Great pizza. Not a lot nearby except other hotels but the free trolly is right outside to get around if you want to head further south.

I was locked in the bathroom for almost an hour almost immediately after checking in. The bathroom door didn’t have a handle on the inside and it took almost an hour for housekeeping/maintenance/security/engineering to get me out. Not the way I wanted to start my trip spending time with my brother who lives across the country from me to celebrate his 40th birthday.

Oceanfront room review
Oceanfront Room Review:
We stayed in room 653. It seems like there are 3 columns of oceanfront rooms. We were on the very end column with a great view of the neighboring garbage bins. Every morning by 7am we were woken up by the sounds of the dump trucks. They didn’t stop the whole morning. Quite a shock from our CA time difference.
We also had 3in x 5in dirty hole in the wall/ground from water damage from the shower. Lots of dings, stains, and chips in the whole room.
The bed was comfy, starchy sheets.
No refrigerator for the drinks we bought or leftover food.
Waited almost an hour at the lobby bar for 1 drink before we decided to cancel it. We had seen the bar busier than the time we went to try it.
Paid $35 a day for the “resort fee”, and multiple times they were completely out of pool towels.
$29 for a basic 8oz margarita.
For almost $500 a night it was disappointing. If money is no object, then maybe the stay wouldn’t be so painful after you get the bill…

Tired hotel and price gouging
Check your bill upon checkout; this place is beyond rapacious. After paying for a room that included breakfast, every single breakfast was accompanied by a bill that I was told would be removed upon checkout; I made a private bet with myself that this wouldn't happen and was not surprised to see I was right.
2 small bottles of water in the associated cafe in the lobby for $26 !? After spending $500 a night, you would think they might resist trying to gouge you, but they don't.
An umbrella on the beach is $35, and if the beach staff don't get $20 tip, they look at you like dirt.

This was our second time staying at the Eden Roc and it didn't let us down! I requested an early check-in and my room was ready even earlier than expected (had a 10:30am check-in and the room was ready at 10am). I reserved two resort room double queen bed rooms and they were both clean. The beds here are amazing! So comfortable. We used the beach and the pool while there. I was surprised that they were charging for umbrellas at the beach- this seemed to be a change from last year where umbrellas were included. I feel that for a resort of this level that umbrellas should be included in the resort fees as an amenity. The food/drink service on the beach and by the pool were great! And the food at Ocean Social was delicious as well. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely come back! My only change would be for our rooms to have a full size mirror- the only mirror available was in the bathroom and that was not great for a group of women getting ready.

Great stay at the Eden Roc. As a platinum member and as a VIP access hotel, they upgraded our room to an amazing 1 bedroom oceanfront suite with the best views of the beach. Perfect weather, convenient food options at the hotel, and relaxed vibe made for one of our better relaxed quick trips to Miami. There are a few changes that need to made such as the carpet in the hallway needs to be changed and wallpaper resealed in some locations on some floors. Other than that, great service, spacious rooms, and amenities to be comfortable doing Miami!

My daughters & I stayed at Eden Roc. We had a loft. The hallway leading to our room had a horrible odor. It smelled of mildew. The odor was overwhelming. The pool attendant was not attentive at all. He forgot things I asked for several times. One time he said “Oh I forgot about you”
I called the front desk to ask for silverware/utensils. The first time they sent body wash. The second time they sent toilet tissue. The fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate. There were loud, obnoxious & obviously drunk. Nice property but I wouldn’t stay again.

Our room was a junior suite and we had a beautiful view with a balcony of the ocean and of the causeway. Bathroom wasn't extremely private as there was a window from shower to see the ocean view. It had a slotted blind that could be opened and closed on both sides. Shower is part of the tub area and doesn't have it's own door. My daughters liked it but some people may not. I asked my bellhop for more towels at check in but I had to call the next day. Beds were comfortable. Elevators fast and delicious coffee in the lobby at the little coffee sandwich shop. They also had egg sandwiches. If you want to eat at Nobu you should try to make reservations in advance. It was delicious but I could only get a 6 PM reservation. Eden Roc is right next door to Fontainbleu so we walked over to get gelato every night at Chez Bon Bon. Chez Bon Bon also had delicious cinnamon buns for breakfast. The servers and staff at the beach and pool were excellent. The food was excellent. Be ready to tip! One of the pools is heated. Grounds were beautiful and the beach is really gorgeous. You have to be careful of seagulls and not flaunt your food. Front desk was very nice and efficient. I would love to go again!

When I arrived, I noticed that the carpeting in the bedroom needed to be vacuumed. I brought it to the staff's attention and it was addressed quickly. During the last two nights of my stay, there was a noise coming from around the sliders to the deck - not sure if this was an AC fan or whether there was air coming in around the doors. This occurred when it was very windy outside. Also did not get my wake up call that I requested.

The room was clean. The staff was friendly & helpful.
The only problem we encountered was the AC unit/thermostat was dated & it was impossible to regulate the temperature correctly, it was freezing when the unit was on regardless of what temperature we tried to set. The only option was to turn it off & wait till it got hot to turn it back on again.

We enjoyed our stay at the eden roc very much! From the day we got there, check in was a breeze with Julian. She was so sweet and helpful.
All the guys in front who helped with our car and luggage were beyond helpful and polite!
Main improvements would be to add more ramps around hotel to get around with baby and stroller and better cleaning/restocking in rooms!
Great experience and we will definitely be back again soon.

Overall nice property, well maintained. However, they could not accommodate late checkout. Was told that we could use the spa facilities on our last day after checkout to shower and freshen up, and then was told by spa staff that we cannot.

Great property. All staff we interacted with were kind. Only some minor issues: tub in room didn’t work & excessively expensive/small pool/beach drinks. That’s what you expect though in Miami Beach at a place like this. Overall, great stay & would come back.
