Very disappointed! I accidentally booked the wrong night in January and of course we didn't go and I meant to book in February. I asked Travelocity to request the change in date and hotel REFUSED! Terrible customer satisfaction. The policy said non refundable, they all do, but this was an exception. I'm old and got confused, we didn't use the room and there's no reason they couldn't have made an exception and granted our change to the correct Feb booking. Now I will book elsewhere in Feb. I suggest you pick a different hotel since they don't care about customer satisfaction

As it is said:” you get for what you pay” This is an old property which is well maintained. The crew does a great work to keep it that way and the ladies a who clean the rooms are top notch.
The people staying there are a different story. Last night two guys in very loud motorcycles decided it was a smart idea to rev up their engines at around 10:30 pm. These generous decided to star bangaing on one the doors where other geniuses were sleeping, screaming to open the door.

Really enjoyed my stay here, felt like an island get away in the room, yet all the amenities of main land Florida close by. Tons of dining options, well equipped room and a nice atmosphere.

Only stayed 1 night, room was very dated and need some serious upgrading and TLC. TV was the size of a decent computer screen (think it was 24”). And the Wifi was terrible in our building #5, even after it was apparently fixed.
Limited options nearby for dining unless you like your run of the mill fast food chains.
Continental breakfast was okay.
In summary, we would not book this hotel again.

Asked for a room other than right by the highway and they said it was not available as none of the rooms were clean yet and this was at 3:45 .would not stay there again because of the noise and mould smell in the room

The location of the property is good, it's right outside the 'Keys' i.e. if one wants to drive to Key West or hangout for the night before heading to the airport. There isn't any parking charges as well which is great! But we were disappointed with stains on the comforters on both of the beds. The bathroom needs some update as the age of the property shows. There are no elevators to the 2nd floor so if you have luggage you will have to lift it up the stairs.
They offer free breakfast but the choices were very limited just bread and waffles, they were out of eggs on our stay. The line to get to it was overwhelming and seating is sparse. We ended up just having some water and coffee and checked out and stopped at a fast food place near by.

Pretty disappointed. Beds were comfy, but room was not super clean and the breakfast was absolutely disappointing.
Offered were toast and butter and one type of jam and waffles. And the Joghurt was only one type as well and not enough for all of us.
There were signs “egg finished” and it was 7:50 when we went for breakfast and it was packed and no seating available. Fridge was unplugged and didn’t really cool down in the room and we didn’t had enough towels. Won’t stay there again

I booked a 2 queen bed room, when I get there they told me they don't have what I have paid for and there's just a room with King sized bed that's it. I have nowhere to go we where absolutely tired and I have to stop at Walmart across the street and bought an inflatable bed for my kids to sleep in. The floor was very dirty, the smell was disgusting, and people smoking weed outside worse. Never again.

My go-to hotel in Homestead, it has a nice breakfast bar and well manicured tropical grounds. Rooms are clean and the beds are nice.

Two nights in Hell
My dismal stay started with the day of checkin, we arrived early in order to only park our car and find a place to watch football the person working the front desk told us the room wasn't ready even though the parking lot was only 25% full which ment we would have to either not drink or drink and drive.
The beds were so warn out that sitting on the edge would cause the mattress to "smear" over the edge, for lack of a better description.
My wifes pillow smelled like puke
The security latch didn't work on the door so we only hoped that no one would break in.
The "continental" breakfast consisted of powdered eggs with no ketchup or hot sauce to help with covering up the flavor and most of the bread and muffins being stale most likely due to beings on the food line fare too long.
Even the coffee was substandard and tasted like watered down instant
The neighborhood where this was located was somewhat like "escape from N.Y." the movie
Needles to say this place was to put it nicely sub sub standard.

Hotel is dated but they have modernized the rooms, at least the premium rooms. The area is nothing special, full of chain restaurants and big boulevards. Pretty basic stay.

We booked a king room but did not know they have two king rooms one standard and one premium the standard come with free bugs. We have stayed many time here and love the place. Pay the extra for the premium king room!!!!

I had a pleasantly surprising experience at Fairway Inn in Homestead/Florida City. Despite being an older hotel, it’s well-maintained, surpassing my expectations given the affordable price. The front desk employee was a standout, maintaining professionalism and courtesy, even in the face of another guest’s rudeness. I’m happy I chose this hotel and would recommend it for a budget-friendly and comfortable stay.

Bad check-in experience
Rooms were good. I booked 2 rooms together but the lady at check in did not give us 2 rooms close to each other. She gave the room next to mine to people who checked in right after us. When my friend went to the room, it was not ready and it was a mess. We went back counter to ask for another room. Now she gave us the room near to my room. Aslo the chek-in time was slow and not professional.

Never Stay Here
The room looked good upon entry...the flooring was linoleum wood-like which is good. However, not sure if it is ever cleaned. After getting out of the shower & walking around the room, our feet were black. We stayed 5 nights & the room was never cleaned. They replaced the towels we left on the floor & dumped our trash & that's it. The bed cover was neatly placed over the sheets & blanket that were bunched up in the middle of the bed. The bed was very comfortable & the air conditioning worked great. The cups were never replaced & the coffee pot was also filthy. There were spider webs with spiders in them in the corners of the room, never removed. We observed 3 drug deals going down in the parking lot near the picnic table area. Some of the staff were great and others were downright rude. On our last day we went to the airport 5 hours early so as not to spend any more time at this dump.

It was not far from the Homestead Speedway and access to the back roads. The only bothersome thing was the noisy AC unit. The ladies at the front desk were helpful as I left my tickets at home but they provided assistance to print them.

Last minute booking after the Nascar race. Price was very reasonable. The hotel grounds are nicely kept. Front desk staff very nice. Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Walking distant to fast food. Would stay again!

Reported a broken hair dryer with no luck. Dark tile floors are nice but not being cleaned as often as should be. Staff is wonderful and I do enjoy my stay every year during Homestead Speedway race weekend!!! Thank you!!

Stayed one night on our way to Key West and this was the best motel we stayed at on our road trip. Room was good size, clean, no bugs, fridge, tv, microwave. Looked like it recently was upgraded. They had a great breakfast bar in the morning with a nice sitting area.
Very convenient if you are looking to stop for the night before heading to the Keys.

The receptionist was fantastic. The room was very clean...lots of towels. The bed was not comfortable (sorry). The garden is 1000, everything is beautiful. The coffee was good, but it could be improved by adding bacon and sausage. Great location.

Im not sure what their mental malfunction is but they gave me a room at the intersection of the two busiest roads. Tv was fuzzy. Key card readers didnt work as usual. Place was empty too. I only stay here because the other places are even worse. They put a $5 hold. Lets see if that gets refunded?

Beautiful well kept grounds well lite. Good AC in rooms. Can be a little loud for those that need quietness to sleep though. Staff are attentive. Housekeeping should learn English though as they deal with tourist. Only complaint I had was the card to unlock the room. It’s tricky and takes numerous attempts to open the door. Coffee machines were a bit of a pain though as they didn’t always work. As a coffee drinker had to keep telling them machine not working. The location is on a busy highway with traffic noise however you don’t hear it while you are in the rooms. The pool is lovely and a nice area the unwind after a busy day of shopping. Breakfast is handy and can be a busy place as the waffle makers are a big hit. Not sure how the batter is prepared as they are a little rubbery in texture. The location is a little far out from downtown Miami. 30-40 min drive so having a vehicle while staying there is a must to explore Miami. Overall was a wonderful stay and we stayed for 10 nights. Thank you fairway inn for making our stay and visit to Miami wonderful.
