Really nice hotel with a great location for walking to restaurants, shopping and Pikes Place market. Rooms were clean and spacious. Easy underground parking. Bar on site in the evening and coffee bar in the morning. I would recommend this hotel and I would book it again next time we visit Seattle.

Excellent with a small suggestion.
The only thing I would have liked is if the room heating and cooling had an option so that you can have the fan running continuously. We like the air circulation that it provides.

Terrible experience
I made a reservation for what I had seen "parking available" just to find out parking was $50 extra. Upon arriving to the hotel I saw the hotel parking garage was at capacity. I had to park 2 blocks down at another garage. When i asked the front desk employee he said the garage was open to the public. The hotel room was very nice and clean. My wife and I went to watch the NYE show at the space needle and didn't return until 1am. At 2am the smoke alarm started beeping so I was unavle to get any sleep as i am a very light sleeperbto sounds and the beep was constant every 10 to 20 minutes. In the morning i let the front desk know about the smoke alarm and the lady at the front desk didn't even apologize. This was the worst experience ive ever had at a hotel. I would have been much happier at a motel6. Atleast they have free parking, wifi, and breakfast

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff were friendly. However, the water for the bath would never get hot (warm at best). I asked for it to be fixed and it was not.

The price for parking was insane as a hotel guest. The beds were not comfortable at all. For the price i paid here, i would have been more comfortable and gotten better sleep at a less expensive place. I was sad that i paid so much, wong be staying here again

This is a very friendly, clean, quiet hotel. My only problem is that in the Expedia description it says free parking and that's not the case. Perhaps there's free parking on the street but it's only 2 hour parking I believe around the hotel. I parked in the parkade under the hotel for two nights and it cost $114. I thought that charge was included in my room through Expedia

The hotel staff is by far some of the best staff I’ve ever dealt with. They all went way above and beyond to make my stay a great one. The hotel itself had some maintenance issues. Nothing major but just some annoying stuff. My closet door wouldn’t say shut. They’re sliders so it didn’t really matter. The lamps are really weird to turn on/off. The TVs in my room were kind of small but I heard from coworkers that theirs were much larger. The photos are from my 26th floor view.

Very nice property and I don't consider the three star rating on the area around the property to be a fault of the property. There was a houseless person right out the front door that was ultimately asked to move along after a period of time. It's unfortunate that the politics of the region resulted in that person being in the situation they were in and it ultimately took away from the overall great experience we had during our stay. The city of Seattle as a whole has that issue and I hope things improve. We saw many more houseless/drug users during our stay in other sections of the city and near many of the attractions we visited.

First and last time staying there
The Renaissance was mediocre.
The young lady at check in was pleasant. The doorman were welcoming and friendly.
The first room I was given was malodorous and looked as if the room was recently occupied without a thorough cleaning. I had to request a room change. The second room had false eyelashes pieces on the sink. Completely unsanitary.
My departing flight was delayed by 2 hours so I requested a late checkout but was denied. I have never heard of a hotel who didnt offer late checkout. Especially if they aren't thoroughly cleaning the rooms.
First and last time staying there.

Stay was good, but my fiend paid with her card for parking an i paid for a deposit. An was told it would be refunded within 3-7 business days. Its been three qeeks an inhave nothing. Upon calling inwas told my friend didnt pay for parking an the $50 that was paid for the room was kept for parking. I need yall to get it together cause there should have been better communication.Also the manger that called me was rude as hell.

Stayed here for 2 nights for a Seahawks game. I do not recommend staying at this property on a weekend *if you intend to use hotel parking*. Parking is a nightmare! We nearly got stuck in the underground as there were no spots left and vehicles had lined up behind us; it was an absolute gongshow. There is also NO FREE IN ROOM WIFI unless you sign up to be a Marriott Bonvoy customer. I am a Bonvoy member already and still couldn't connect to the in-room network. There is free wifi in public areas but in-room wifi was $12.95 per day USD; ridiculous. What hotel doesn't offer free wifi anymore? cash grab.
The facilities and room itself were really nice, but the lack parking, no free wifi, and lack of restaurants in easy walking distance are ultimately why I will not stay here again.

We had an amazing stay! The service and room was great. Easy to walk everywhere. Only negative was how expensive parking was. We parked a block away at a different parking garage for only $10 so I’d recommend looking elsewhere for parking!

Look. Because of the threatened government shut down our trip had to be canceled. Our destination was a National park and we were notified that if there was a shutdown the park would be closed leaving us no choice but to cancel our trip. The Renaissance Hotel would not allow us to cancel or give us credit. Very unsympathetic. I would not book with them again

This was a beautiful hotel to stay in. Very clean and comfortable. My favorite part was the duvet cover. It was like sleeping under a cloud. If I could change 1 thing it would have been higher water pressure in the shower.

Great stay, pricey parking, overall nice
Really nice hotel in downtown Seattle, got free macrons after checking in which were tasty. The only downside was having to pay $50/night for parking in the garage, and there were no other options, which was kind of a bummer. The staff was really helpful and nice, and the room itself was very clean and comfortable.

The hotel is centralized from the airport and main attractions. Walking distance to Pike Marketplace and stadiums also a lot of places to eat and shop if needed.
We also walked to the needle. The weather was perfect with a few showers. The room was spacious and clean.

Room 1202 that we were given was extremely noisy - it turned out it was at the corner of the building close to highway. Noise did not stopped at all.

Nice place to stay. We have stayed there twice for Mariner games. Only complaints were the shower door system and some drilling somewhere around our room a little too early in a Sunday morning. The shower has one glass panel, leaving 1/2 the shower open. Water pooled on the floor despite our best efforts.

Motel 6 has more class. The bartenders can't seem to give guests their attention, they are more interested to what's on the TV. Very limited options for vending machines. Just don't stay here. I will never stay here again. Very disappointed.

But we waited in line to check in for almost one hour, yes one hour.
The line to check in was out the door and no staff told people where to stand so some people were running out of patience and were rude. It would have been nice if an employee had provided some information or help.

Paid a little penny for this stay and was disappointed with the room offered at check in. The room was extremely dim offering not much natural light at all. I checked in early and was told that was my only option even if I wanted. The elevators were being serviced so they were fairly slow and full there was connections issues so my room tv actually said another guest as well.

Loved, but wish I had more parking info
Stayed for two days to visit with family. The Hotel was gorgeous, service inside the hotel was kind, rooms were clean with very comfy beds. Parking, or receiving information on how and where to park was very frustrating. I was advised over the phone I had to pay before parking, so when I arrived I was trying to find a temporary spot to check in and get parking but couldn’t find one so I had to loop around the block again and then found a spot but was told I wasn’t allowed to leave my car unless I was receiving valet parking, so I did another loop around the block and then pulled up and asked another person where the parking was and they finally told me I could park in the garage and validate parking in the hotel afterwards. When you are coming from a small town to a big city, this information would be super helpful to have ahead of time. That’s my only complaint, everything was GREAT!

1st visit to Seattle
This is a great place to stay! Centrally located - can walk to Pike Place, along the waterfront and, for an even longer walk, to Seattle Center where the space needle and the Kraken arena and Sculpture Park.
The food and drinks were great and the bartender/waitress was amazing! She was juggling both by herself and doing it with a smile.
Our only complaint was the valet. We called when we left our room to have them bring our car out. We went outside about 10 min later. The gentleman couldn’t understand English well. We stood outside for 30 minutes with all our luggage thinking someone was getting our car. I finally asked the guy again and showed him our valet ticket. He then rambled off something and ran off to get our car. First, who took our call at first and why didn’t it get processed. Two, please make sure the valet understands English.
