My stay at the hotel was wonderful. Friendly staff who responded instantly to all requests. My room was on the 23rd floor with a beautiful view of the city and mountains. The room is spacious, clean, the kitchen has everything you need for cooking. Thanks to the hotel staff, I will definitely return to you.

Unfortunately there are a few things that keep the Ilikai from being great. Poor service, dated hotel and a lack of housekeeping (once every 4days during a stay).
The next door Hilton or for a similar price a Waikiki hotel would be a better option.

The property is amazing! Great location. Wonderful, helpful, kind, and patient staff. The room was clean and user friendly, bright and uplifting.
The only downside is the price for parking. $40 per day is ridiculous for guests to have to pay. Even $20 per day would be more fair. However, I think that guests of the hotel should be able to park for free, but a little parking fee is fine. $40 per day is too steep!!

Decent, but probably wouldn’t stay here again.
The property is very pretty. Lots of shopping and dining options very conveniently within and around the hotel. Be warned about the parking situation, if you do not want valet. We had a difficult time finding a near by parking garage and still ended up paying quite a lot but not near the cost that valet would’ve been all together. There is a refundable fee that we were not told about anywhere from the Hotels.com booking, so on top of your resort fees that you pay upon arrival, come prepared with an extra $150. Our only complaint would be the beds. They were clearly very dated or cheap, as we could feel every single spring. There also were very few outlets in the room and they were spread out in inconvenient places, such as an extension cord tucked under the entertainment center/dresser as well as no outlets anywhere near the bed but actually behind it and the bed was not able to be moved. We had to charge our phones in the kitchen every night which was a bit annoying when having to set alarms for anything we had to wake up for. We also had a room on the second floor, which is directly above a lot of the dining so the room and hallways smelled very strongly a lot of the time, something we didn’t care for when our clothes were left out or waking up to but that’s just a minor thing. We also didn’t feel as though we got the value we paid for the view due to it being on the 2nd floor, as our partial ocean view would have been way better a few floors higher, but again, small issue.

Considering its an older establishment, the place is decently kept for guests to stay at for the price. My boyfriend and I had the sunset view room with the mini kitchen. The service from parking to the front desk and the restaurants/stores were all on point with the Hawaii hospitality I grew up with here (living in CA now but came to visit for the holidays). The room space was great for the price. Its on the edge of Waikiki, about a 10-15 minute walk from Ala Moana. Being at the edge of Wakiki, its quieter compared to staying in the middle of all the craziness of Waikiki. I will always come back to stay here as one of my top choices if I have to stay at a hotel on the south side of Oahu.

It has a full kitchen, so I cooked breakfast and lunch, and went out for dinner, since everything is super expensive there, I saved for two meals and the spend for dinner freely. Water pressure is weak, so if you have long hair like me, it takes a long time to rinse off shampoo. Windows do not shut off the outside nose well, I used ear plugs when I went to bed. The mattress felt kinda old. Stuff are friendly and the room was clean, direct access to lagoon. Over all good stay!

What we didn't like; There was the very minimum kitchen ware, not really enough to cook or eat a meal. There was no bedding for the pull out and when we asked asked we were brought one pillow, one very thin blanket, and one one sheet. It took a total of three calls to get proper bedding. The add said there was parking, there was limited on street parking that was quit expensive. Valet cost $45/day additional charge but worked very well.

This is a beautiful property and the staff was friendly and professional. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was there were a couple of issues: The TV's didn't work all of the time. In the A.M. we would get a "No Signal" message, which didn't appear later in the day. When they came to fix it, the literally showed how we had to press 4 different buttons to get TV. Come on, is this the 1980's? The TV in the living room never did work no matter what we did. We travel a lot, and I've never had a hotel where the TV didn't work.
In addition, the coffee provided was the worst I have ever tasted. No exaggeration, it was undrinkable swill that resembled coffee in color only. We had to buy coffee, but maybe that was their intention?
These seem like minor issues, but paid $3150 to stay 4 nights so we could treat my mom and give her a special experience. At those prices everything should be perfect, not broken TV's and undrinkable coffee.

the check was horrible. unfriendly reception. resort is not family friendly. it was geared more to the ages 60-90 years old. over priced. beds are extremely hard. wasn’t able to get extra pillows because of their “rules”.
couldn’t get any extra towels. they charge for everything!!! i mean everything $35 a beach towel.

The stay at the hotel was great. The only issue we came across was when we were at the lower pool, there was so much smoke coming from over the wall because people are allowed to smoke there. I am allergic to smoke and I ended up getting sick. If you could post "No smoking signs there like they are all against that walkway, that would be great.

This is the first property I stayed in that did not have maid service. However, the front desk staff were so helpful and very responsive to whatever we needed. I liked the beach area that was nearby within walking distance.
I also appreciated the free ticket that was provided from the hotel that enabled us to enjoy some of the ice cream from Dave's Ice Cream Shop, which was located on the property

We had a great experience at the Ilikai. We rented one of their king room with a kitchen and a partial view of the ocean. First, the room was really clean and a pretty good size. The view was amazing. We were able the enjoy the Hilton fireworks from our balcony. Their staff was always welcoming and ready to help. We had such a great service from the front desk and their concierge. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores in the area. They also have boutiques on the main floor, a rental car company and a surf/paddle board shop (Duke's lagoon). They made our vacation easy and relaxing. We highly recommended the Ilikai tower.

I did not like the hidden costs $45/day for parking and $33/ day for “amenities” i.e. a pool.
Exiting the hotel once you get your car is difficult too but can’t be helped.

The hotel is 10 to 15 minutes walk to two different shopping/restaurant areas, felt perfectly safe walking at night. The street was busy late into midnight with other tourist.
The hotel room I booked was on 25th floor, it had a nice kitchen, big bathroom, and balcony overlooking the beach, pool, and a fireworks area that happens on Fridays 7:45. Friendly staff and friendly security.

I was pleased with my room which was the sunset room. The view was awesome. The kitchen was the bomb as we were able to prepare small.meals when didnt want to go out. The staff was accommodating and Sharon in the restaurant deserves a raise. She makes you want to come back just to see her again. After her shift she would sit out with us and talk and give the best history lessons about the island. I am sure there may be more expensive hotels but i am not looking anywhere else. Plenty of shops on premise to include beach rental chairs and umbrellas. Clean porperty. Definitely coming back.

Amazing Hotel. Highly recommend.
Hotel was very clean, looked very well maintained. Restaurant downstairs that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The only negatives were bathroom water pressure at sink was low if toilet or shower was running. Hotel is very busy, found myself at times waiting for an elevator or even taking the next elevator because it was too crowded. Hotel has 5 elevators in use.

Very close by to the shopping centers and restaurants. It was clean and had nice front desk staff. The restaurant and shops inside the hotel was a great addition like I was at a resort. The only downfall is that it does not have any body mirrors when getting ready. Pre plan your outfits if you book the hotel. I like to bring options so it as inconvenient. Other than that minor issue the hotel experience was great! I’d recommend the hotel to friends and family and would book it again. They gave me complimentary waters, beach towels, ice cream, and nachos located conveniently inside the hotel. There’s also a nice coffee shop and store you can grab items like a small convenient store.

This property is absolutely stunning. I just loved the rooms with full kitchens and sitting areas with HUGE lanais, seemed like a SUITE! Restaurants and fast casual options in the lobby were a PLUS and the staff was so so so wonderful and accommodating. Highly recommended and you get SO MUCH for the value. And Pesca?! All day happy hour on the 30th floor was a dream. We will be back!

Extraordinary after having to break a month-stay at a place that was dirty, broken shower head, etc...and worst of all, termite droppings everywhere!
I needed to have a night of no hassle before moving on beyond Honolulu, but found a luxury stay that is far too short. Wonderful staff, great facilities and a real Aloha Spirit of services! Wish I could afford to stay longer.

All The staff were amazing and very friendly. The hotel was in a convenient location, walkable to all areas of Waikiki. The only suggestion I would make is to upgrade the bed mattresses as it was quite hard, when I spoke with the front desk they offered a topper but it was still quite hard

Ok nice room and area. Downfall is the AC was not working in the room and is hard to sleep when the room gets very hot, for a luxury place i would think they would have central AC. No room service u have to go downstairs and get everything yourself no one comes and cleans your room. More like an air bnb vibe. Overall 5/10 stay for this place.

It was the best stay I’ve ever had. I was upgraded to partial ocean view at the highest floor, . The front desk agent, Rod was the best employee I am thankful for. He is very accommodating and kind. We were given an ice cream voucher and with free daily purified 2 bottles. Thank you so much . It’s my memorable 50th birthday accommodation.

Over all our stay was great , the only thing I disliked was the traffic in the elevator each time to go up or down it was real hectic and cramped . Another thing I also didn’t like was how strict the pool rules were . We came to this hotel to celebrate my daughters 6th birthday party so of course they’re going to be yelling excitingly at the pool but if we do choose to stay here at Ilikai maybe we won’t bring our kids .. the room was amazing and the beds were comfortable . I love how spacious it was and the fact that we had a full kitchen it was convenient.

WARNING: If you are staying more than one night and expect any sort of regular housekeeping services, you should definitely BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. There was no indication on Expedia or on the hotel’s website that these services would not be provided. I wish I had dug further into the reviews myself before confirming a 5-night stay here. Given the price point for this hotel, basic housekeeping does not seem like an unreasonable expectation. In that regard, this seemed more like an AirBnB instead of the “luxury” experience that the hotel name might suggest. Sure, there are quite a few reviews giving very high marks, and I suspect these are provided by travelers with lower expectations or comparatively less accommodating travel experiences. The well-traveled guest will quickly see all of the missed opportunities with this property. The best part is the hotel location, which is fairly convenient to Waikiki beach. On the down side, this hotel is situated between two significantly nicer hotels that seem to be more accommodating to their guests. Finally, don’t tell me that “you get what you pay for” because for what I paid, I would have gotten much more elsewhere—and I will next time.

Had a lovely family vacation! The room/hotel was always very clean, great friendly staff and reception was fast, too! We stayed on the 24th floor and the view was incredible!

Terrible stay at hotel with no service
We booked a hotel instead of AirBNB because we wanted to have our room cleaned everyday. However, there was no cleaning service. So for 5 days our room was not cleaned!!! and they call themselves a Luxury Suite? and makes you pay $$$ an exhobitant amount of money which is not commensurate with the service and facilities. The bathroom has no bathtub and is very old and run down. The hotel is not a beachfront hotel as the frontage is a marina full of boats. For the price we paid, we should have stayed at Hilton Waikiki Beach which is really a beachfront hotel

The Ilikai is in a great location for access to Alo Moana shopping centre and still walking distance to Waikiki beach and restaurants. It is an older property with the building originally built 1964. Obviously it has been upgraded several times since. The room we had was on the 25th floor just under penthouse suites. Room was ocean facing and had a great view of Ala Moana park and the beaches towards Honolulu. At this height it was quiet so very little street noise at night. Room is spacious with couch and lounge chairs. A breakfast bar and kitchen which we used quite a bit. Good size fridge and freezer with microwave and full oven and 4 burner stove top. There is no room service for changing sheets but you can request it at a cost. We only stayed 5 nights so not necessary. The pool is ok but did not use it instead went to the sea. Good value property if you don't want to pay Hyatt or Sheraton prices!

The ILIKAI has great and friendly staff from the front desk to the maintenance staff as well. Everyone was friendly and said hello. Our front desk staff named Rod was exceptionally friendly and helpful during our stay at ILIKAI. The elevators were all working and they have 7 for guests to use. Our room view was the best! We enjoyed the fireworks from our balcony. Ocean view is a must do! Thank you everyone for all the great hospitality you provided to us and your guests. We will be back again!

Great location and walking distance to shops and restaurants but no where in the reservation it was mentioned that there will be no house keeping. I stayed there for 6 nights with my family (4 adults) and no house keeping even to take the trash out and when i asked tje front desk they offered to send a broom and mop to my room so i can clean the room myself! The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet had a bidet which i find disgusting as in my opinion it should be a personal thing and not in a hotel room which is use by so many people. I had to clean the toilet when we checked in as there was brown spot a nd stuff still on it. Like it has not even been clean before. The drawers in the room were broken and falling off. The sofa-bed was broken so every night i had to adjust the hardware manually in order to be able to open it. But the view was great!

Gorgeous view from ocean view room.
Valet parking was chaotic and over priced.
Staff were friendly , however some of security staff were aggressive and rude. I have never been questioned so much or had to prove that I was a guest at an hotel!!!
They will not stock toilet paper in your room. Only 1 roll at a time . Even if your there for a week. Was so annoying asking every time we run out.

Booked a ocean view room with a king size bed and a sofa sleeper specifically. They gave us a small room with one king size bed. Went to front desk to complain. They had to downgrade our room to city view to accommodate us a room with a sofa sleeper. Staff refuse to adjust room rate due to us booking through third party.

We stayed 6 nights at the Ilikai. The check-in was quick and easy and they let us in our room early. We loved the location, it is an easy walk to the beach. Great value for money for a family of four. Our only issue was that we booked for four people and the sofa bed wasn’t made up. However they quickly brought up sheets and pillows for us.
