The spa was warm but did not bubble . Our room had several issues that were addressed right away , but refrigerator was broken brought a new one , toilet would not flush , fixed the handle . Overall the visit was pleasant , breakfast could be improved , yogurt fruit or a small muffin . All day coffee was great

It was advertised as remodeled when in fact it was just touched up. Horrible air unit, tiny rooms and bathroom in fact the door looked liked a dog was in there and scratched up the paint. Breakfast (we didn’t even attempt) Our last night the alarm went off on our truck at 4.30 am and then again 20minutes later. Didn’t feel safe.

The Lotus had a nice oceanview from our room overlooking the pool area as well. The room was in a small amount of disrepair (looked like due to water damage), but, was clean and had been fixed up nicely. The bed was reasonably comfortable. Check in was at 10 am instead of the more standard 11 am. We checked out at 11 though and it wasn't an issue. The staff we encountered were pleasant. The parking at the hotel is not great, especially in a pick up truck, but, not too big of a deal. Overall, I would stay there again.

The worst place I have ever stayed in and was charged way too much for it! The room was awful, dirty bedspread, the walls and floors were wet even after running the heater and dehumidifier nonstop. The door was dented door knob loose a huge crack under the door. The mattress felt like you were laying on wood and the tiny hard lumpy pillows were decades old. The patio door was so hard to open and couldn’t be locked if you went out of it. The patio outside the door had cigarette butts laying everywhere. The pool and hot tub both dirty! I would never recommend this place to anyone. The worst part after two awful nights I became sick from the wet room and coughed for three days. I have never experienced anything like that before, I’m sure breathing wet walls and floors of who knows what made me sick. Last point the staff couldn’t care at all so didn’t bother to complain as it was obvious they would not change anything at all. Last point all the white towels had brown stains on them 😳😕 TERRIBLE they should refund my money!!!!!!

the phone wasn't attached to anything. The bathroom sink was clogged. The internet would not connect. The desk clerk was great and moved us to another room, but it was a huge hassle for us. Owner needs to put more effort into the property maintenance.

The front desk gentleman was kind and helpful. The hotel in general needed maintenance. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable as were the pillows and the breakfast was a joke. it was not worth what we paid probably worth more like $59.

I will say this about the front desk people they’re very very nice. I had a room with a kitchenette.
They served a continental breakfast nothing big.
But it was sufficient. For the most part I enjoyed my stay there.

AWFUL FRONT DESK
First of all, the man at the front desk, the very first man. That you see when you go to check in should be very polite should be very accommodating and should be very friendly. instead. What I got was a very rude. Seemingly very busy employee.
.. I've stayed at the Lotus several other times and it was okay. I really enjoyed it. That's why I rebooked it again. But I will never, ever stay there again. As long as that man at the front desk still works there. Period there's not enough words for me to describe how awful he was anybody checking in beware.

The pool area with the hot tub right on the beach was the best part of this hotel. The rooms were adequate and my kids loved that they could go get hot chocolate whenever they wanted from the machine in the lobby. The only thing that could be improved is the water pressure in the shower.

Never go here!
Never fall for this scam! This place looks amazing online but is a dilapidated dump. Hot tub doesn't work,fire pit doesn't work elevator doesn't work,dirty rooms,old broken furniture,crack in tv screen,rude desk clerk,DEAD FISH IN POOL never removed! And over $100 fee if you want to cancel. This place single handedly ruined my vacation.

We got to the hotel and they told us they had a $100 fee we had to pay on top of the money we had already paid and no wear on your website did it say that!! We got into our room and they had poop marks inside the toilet, a long black hair on the toilet seat,rust on at the door hinges and paint peeling off the walls.

We arrived before and were well attended, they managed to arrange a room before super fast.
We had to request the change of bedding because it was full of dog hair.
The shower is no pressure but the size of the bathroom as well as the room are good.
It was not a terrible experience, overall the hotel is ok.

Nice Room, Beautiful Ocean View
This hotel is a solid for star rating. The best part about it is its location and the private balcony that our room had. The rooms were comfortable enough for our three night stay. The bathroom and bedding were clean, which is always my greatest concern. However, there were no washcloths and no area for sitting other than the balcony. Apparently some rooms do not have a balcony. I would be sure to book a room that does have one. There was a fridge and a microwave if you wanted to have anything in your room.

I gave the location and staff 5 stars.
The hotel is not huge, but has almost everything. The best part is it's right on the beach! I have been walking on the beach every day!
The staff were friendly and very helpful.
I can see some improvement in breakfast and check in process. It's nice to have free continental breakfast, but it could have a few extra things such as oatmeal, bread, and eggs. I had the longest waiting and checking in time ever although the staff was friendly.

The motel satisfied my needs. It is not 5 star and the price reflects this. The staff was very helpful. The entire area surrounding this hotel is run down and destroyed by weather . The area did not feel unsafe.

Stayed here about 7 years ago and it was lovely but has definitely gone downhill. The room was not very clean. The balcony door wouldn’t lock (and the light on the balcony was out). Random outlets didnt work. Hallways and stairwells were a mess.

This place could be good BUT...
This was a major disappointment from start to finish.
1st off it took more paperwork, initials and signatures than my last house closing. RiDICULOUS!
Then comes the $100 deposit so I don't destroy their room.
Are you F'ing kidding me?
JUST LOOK AT THE PICTURES! Look at the room they were afraid I was going to destroy!
Pathetic, insulting and disgusting.
If you like rust galore, dirt, scum and everything falling apart, this place is for you!
If your human, don't want to sign your life away to stay in a sub ar hotel, look elsewhere.
OH, at 10:05 with the hotel 75% empty they came to warn me to get out as they do a 10 a.m. checkout.

This property is trying to make a comeback but no job finished & those done below par. Rust on doors, door handles rusted, drywall, baseboards need painting. Lack of customer convenience. No parking spaces available & manager called staff to move car out from office which was not blocking pedestrian or vehicular access at 4:30 AM or be towed. A spot had opened up but really disturb us . There were no ground markings or a no parking sign posted. There is no legal tow sign posted in interior parking either. Missing railing to beach access which is code violation. No locked gate to pool which is safety violation. An absolute horrible place and should not be offered on your site.

The office attendant was very nice. The property and rooms are a bit run down, dirty and out-dated, especially for the price of the rooms. The hot tub wasn't very hot and the jets did not work. The view from the rooms is fantastic and this could be an excellent motel with a bit of renovation.

Glad I was able to bring my fur baby. However, the room was dirty, property is delapitating, dirty clothes left behind in closet area, mattress was old, stained, and hard to get comfortable on. Pictures on website are vastly different from real appearance. Continental breakfast consisted of mini muffins yogurt and fruit with oj.

Just needed one night and the price was right. Typical older Daytona Beach area hotel trying to put lipstick on a pig with room renovations.
Arrived late at night. No lighting where my room was on the second floor and my keys didn't work, so I had to drag all my stuff back to the lobby. Attendant went back to the room with me and couldn't get keys to work. By the way, there was the smell of urine on the second floor near the elevator. The attendant helped me with my bags and gave me a room on the first floor.
That room was nice on the inside, and I appreciated the effort.
The area wasn't great, the parking was limited, and I was only there a few hours to get some sleep leaving before breakfast was served, so I can't really comment on the amenities.
For my needs and what I paid for a room at a hotel on the beach, it was just fine. The hotel was about what I expected and the room was nicer than I expected given the lower price.

Good overall, cheap stay
It was a cheap choice and good location, steps from the water. Well taken care of.
Although, the one bad thing about my room was the lighting. It was white lightbulbs yet it seemed dull. And the toilet would make a weird sound when flushed, then it was normal. Other than that, the hotel has a mini happy hour and conventional breakfast quick grab and go.

All of the amenities were broken pretty much. even paid for a Jacuzzi room and the Jacuzzi did not work. the Jacuzzi was so scolding hot that I burned both my feet getting in.

It cost more to upgrade to have a balcony…$ 60.00 more ! (We didn’t)
breakfast was minimal, muffins and yogurt and some fruit, that’s continental not breakfast.
Employees friendly enough, room clean enough. Glad We booked just one night!
Also ,no firepit lighted. I guess not enough guests! Looks as if they tried to upgrade at least the bathroom.
Overnight manager told morning guy. 3 no shows overnight .
probably won’t return, just wanted to see the beach. It was still beautiful!

Very Deceiving
I really hate leaving a bad review but I stay at places basing my decision on reviews from others. So, I'm leaving this one to give people a heads up. 1st, they charge an extra $100 for security deposit. But, will credit it back once they check your room. I was credited it back without them checking, but WTH? 2) The room wasn't disgusting filthy but not too clean. See pics. 3) The place was just "meh". 4) the coffee maker had an old coffee pod in it! 5) the pillows are basically flat & bed not too comfortable 6) holes on the walls, rusty breaker box on the wall, the door didn't latch so we had to use dead bolt 7) "Free Breakfast" consisted of bananas, apples, oj, small muffin, & yogurt. 8) the office to check in is hard to find. Its kinda hidden & no sign out front telling you were it is 9) the floors were "sticky". 10) The bed & bathroom was clean enough, but.... We only stayed because we were extremely tired & the view if ocean was nice. We definitely won't be back & recommend not staying. There's no way I can believe the current reviews (some are great!!) but who knows. The man checking us in & out was nice. I tried posting pictures but there was something wrong when I went to post them.

Arrived early and asked for an early check in. Front desk was a tad snarky when we asked. Rain shower had no pressure and took forever to get the soap off. Towels were thin. Breakfast was blah.. apples, bananas and small muffins.

The worst bed I’ve had at a hotel yet. We woke up every couple hours in pain because the mattress was so hard and old and springy. They gave us 3 tiny pillows for the king bed and when they brought us the extra that we asked for they had been washed so many times that they were uneven in the casing and bumpy. When they asked if I needed anything else I said pillow cases they said they are probably in the laundry and they ‘..would bring them later.’, but with the emphasis on later and the look on his face, I knew they weren’t coming. The pictures in the description of the property look like it must have looked at some point, but the upkeep is lacking and it was a chilly night and there were no fires like in the pictures. The floor was sticky. The jacuzzi in the room was great. Just too bad that the bed ruined our backed and we went home the next morning instead of going out for biketober fest. Not worth $206 for a night

Fantastic oceanfront suite.
The oceanfront view, pool deck and beach exceptional on 3rd floor. Left slider open on balcony at night to hear the natural ocean sound machine and woke early see sunrise. Beds super comfortable. Continental breakfast juice, coffee, muffin, yogurt and fruit.
Disappointed fire pit and jacuzzi not working. Must need to ask for room service, there was none for the 3 days/2 nights garbage on mini suite overflowed.

Great little hotel on the beach
We greatly enjoyed our stay. Location is fabulous. It is a well maintained property with friendly staff. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had all the important amenities. It’s not a luxury resort but is otherwise perfect for a beachfront stay. We loved it!

This is obviously a business that was once quite nice and is now trying to get back on their feet after the storms. We had been there 5 years ago and it was lovely. Now It's just run down and average. They advertise free breakfast which consists of a 4oz cup of terrible coffee or orange juice and a mini muffin. I hope they get back to where they were soon as the location is great and the outside amenities are quite nice.

Micheal the maintenance AKA the”everything” man! He was busy the whole time he actually works for two hotels and he’s very busy but gets everything done. We never needed for anything because we always had everything we could want. Very clean and nice staff. Very happy with our booking choice will definitely stay again!

The fire pitt did not work nor the hot tub for the nights we stayed. There was roaches in our room. Daughter woke up to a roach crawling on her face of all days her birthday. Myself and other guest notified the staff of the hot tub and fire pit not working. But, nothing was done of it.
