Great staff. We had to add a night to our stay and they got us set up to be able to stay in the same room instead of having to check out completely and move to a new room. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Convenient location. Good breakfast. Simply appointed rooms. Allows dogs. Beds are not at all comfortable - too firm. Because we stayed for 6 days, it was an issue because we never got a good night’s rest.

Awful!!!!!
I was charged $122 for a room that I couldn’t use. Full price. Snow blizzard and the freeway was closed. I canceled early in the morning and I was still charged. The LaQuinta has terrible policy. I will never use this motel again..

I’m a single woman who loves road trips with my dog. I stay here every time I go through Kansas City because it’s pet friendly, easy off and on the interstate, very clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

I've stayed here several times, the room was not clean and dated, also very noisy. You can hear people coming and going all hours of the night and if someone is walking in the room above you. Room was very expensive and not worth the price paid.

Great place to stay in KC
It’s the perfect halfway point on my trips to Kentucky. It’s clean and comfortable. It’s close to the interstate and very easy to get to but you don’t get much traffic noise.

Great place to stay
Traveling from Nebraska to Kentucky, this is almost exactly halfway. I’ve stayed here many times and never had any complaints. They’re easy off and on the interstate and they’re pet friendly.

The property when you walked in had a sewer smell.. the hallways and elevator had a horrible smell.. I got to the area 30 min before my check in time and they made me pay a extra $20.00! I have stayed in some very nice hotel/motels and never paid a extra anything to check in a little early! There was a leather or pleather recliner in my room that looked like it was used for more than sitting or relaxing.. bed is hard as a rock. Will not be back! I sucked it up for one night.

The La Quinta was the perfect stay! Everything looked and smelled extremely clean. The facilities were kept in tip top shape. Breakfast was an added bonus! Not to mention the price was just right!

Lobby area was very nice. Got to our room and was definitely not impressed. Carpet was super filthy my feet are black fromqalking barefoot on it and my husbands wheelchair was putting dirt tracks on the tiled area.

The light near the bathroom didn’t work and there was two floor tiles that were loose. We told them about it and they didn’t care. They except pets but don’t allow them to be left in the room unattended even if they are in crates but charge a fee for pets, what for!! Why would someone want to pay a pet fee at this motel if they have to take their pets with them everywhere they go. That makes no sense, people get pet friendly hotels so they can enjoy things like a wedding, sporting events, anniversary or an unfortunate funeral! How are you supposed to take pets along to things like this!! I really think this hotel need to work on there policies and customer service, won’t stay here again. Also I know it is legal in Missouri to smoke weed but this is a no-smoking hotel so why did we smell weed everyday that we were there, guess they don’t care if people smoke. Like I said they really need to do better!!

My wife and I were road-tripping with our two pets. This was the best hotel we had stayed at yet! The room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The whole hotel was clearly recently renovated. The area around the hotel was great for walking the dog for a bathroom break, and the breakfast was decent for the price point. Great value for the great price. Would stay here again for sure.

Concert weekend getaway
Nice updated hotel. We had requested to check in early and were informed that we could for a $40 cost, not worth it for 1 hour early. Room was nice except for the bed which was horrible. Thought it would be softer to sleep on the floor. Shower had nice water pressure. Pillows were nice. Housekeeping started vacuuming and cleaning at 8 am on a Sunday morning.

It is always a great experience staying at this hotel when in town. The staff at check in are always polite & easy to work with. The rooms have always been very clean and ready for our arrival. I have stayed in a king & 2 queen bed rooms & both have plenty of space to move around the room. Breakfast has a variety to offer up from your basic items to hot food to make your own waffles.

Make sure you get the room you booked
At check-in, our room wasn't ready. Then after booking on hotels.com for 2 queen beds, they gave us a 1 king bed room. But that room wasnt ready either. We waited an hour and a half to get to our room. Many other families had to wait, also. We didnt make it on time to the first opener at our concert because of the delay. The room was clean, but the furniture is old and banged up.

Just an overnighter as we were driving cross county. Staff was friendly, room was spacious and clean, and hotel was pretty quiet. Traveled with our dog and would recommend this hotel to fellow travelers with pets. Breakfast was good as well.

I had had a Horrible experience down the street at quality inn. Expedia advertised 300 sq ft for a room that was just 10× 12. I called expedia and ein and elvis were fantastic. I was in the process of getting a different room when we were cut off. Thats when i got kenia. She was rude and condesceding. I kept asking for her supervisor and she said that she was the same as. I screen shot the whole conversation. She made me cry. My luggage wouldnt even fit into that tiny room. Ive never been treated so horribly in my life. Finally i told her to keep the money, walked out made a reservation at la quinta... was met with a friendly helpful face... stayed there 5 days! Their breakfast was better than average had the best staff. Clean and well kept. I moved into a Huge 246 square foot room and loved it! I will definiately stay there again!!! Thanks la quinta! Expedia.... i dobt i woll use again after the treatment i recieved from kenia i dfiniately have pictures showing the horrid tiny room. The screenshots of how helpful Syed and Elvis were... and how Kenia made me feel like i was an ignorant grifter that couldnt add sq feet. The thing is the employee at quality inn was nice enough. I would have gladly paid to upgrade my room. I still feel like crying reading how she verbally assaulted me.

Employees were all friendly and professional. Everything was very clean. Pillows were great and bed very comfortable. We would recommend hand holds around the bathtub for safety in the shower. Would be nice to have had a full length mirror.

Terrible! Not worth the money
The TV didn’t work. A/C was also lacking. Shower was backing up…Extremely loud. Very run down. Would never stay here again. Not sure if all La Quintas are like this one but would think twice to stay at one again. Location is good off the freeway, but you hear freeway noise all night.

Overall our stay was good. The room placement was not the best. We could hear people talking and such outside our window which was right by the entrance. Also, too close to the breakfast area where we could smell the food in our room. Also, the lobby had a very strong perfume type smell. Did not like that at all.

Desk clerk upon check in double charge for room. Tried to correct it but charged again for the “refund”. Elevator had a horrible smell so took stairs all weekend. Stairs had an odor also but didn’t feel trapped. Tried on Saturday to charge me for room again. Spoke with different desk clerk who couldn’t do anything because her computer didn’t show charge but I could show my online banking. The multiple charges trigger fraud alert on my card and froze it for a holiday weekend. It’s currently still frozen. Would not give me itemized bill at first. I couldn’t go elsewhere cause they had messed up my card.

Lady at front desk named Frankie is the rudest, and most unprofessional person i have ever seen. She gave us the a totally different room than what we reserved. Then gave us the wrong room keys 3 times. She also told us that she thought it was funny because she tried to switch our room. She also tried to charge us for 2 rooms when we only needed 1. She also is very rude to customers. Pretty sad when the housekeeper was apologizing because of the way she was talking to my wife and I.

Best pet friendly place in Kansas City
As a person who travels alone with a dog I always need a pet friendly hotel. This hotel is everything I could want. It’s clean, convenient to the interstate and pet friendly. The staff is always very nice. Checking in and out is quick. It’s a great place to stay.

The property was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. We all slept very well even though you could hear the highway from our room. The room was nice and dark at night. Breakfast had various options and there was a staff member who was helpful when things ran out.

Lack of service, charged for cleaning, needs updat
The room was a bit old and run down. No one was ever at the front desk. Never saw a housekeeper, and nothing was cleaned when we were gone. We stayed with 3 little kids, one with autism. After checkout, we were charged an extra 100 dollars for cleaning. We were told it was because of play dough. The floor was a bit of a mess as well, but no one came in and vacuumed for the 4 days we were there. This was our 2nd time staying there. Had better service, and a better room, the first time. Won’t stay again.

Big Mistake
This was the worst motel stay, we've experienced in sometime. The front counter host acted as if he was doing us a huge favor just checking us in. The elevator smelled like dirty wet dogs. The purple palace paint scheme had us wondering just what kind of motel we had checked into and was not relaxing at all after a long day's drive. The room across from us hosted two large dogs that barked when we left or entered our room and randomly throughout the night. The air vent in the bathroom was disgustingly covered in dust clumps, that fell on your head when you went into the bathroom (this would have been easily fixed with a vacuum hose and brush). The tiny slivers of soap barely lasted for one shower. The only good thing about the stay was the breakfast which should have been open earlier than 7, as a group of travelers were already lined up at 6:45. All of the other motels we stayed at were open at 6-6:15 for breakfast. Based on the quality of this motel it was very much overpriced for the stay, and it will make us think twice about staying at another LaQuinta in the future.

Extremely loud. Every time someone opens their room door, it echoes down the hallway. I could hear people pee in the neighboring room. AC was set to freezing, and you could not adjust it or turn it off. Floor was quite dirty. The mattress was super comfortable, but the pillows were so hard they give you a headache. Very sketchy area….

3rd time staying here with our pup and it is a fine joint to stay at. It just happens to be right at 9 hours for our yearly travel home and back and takes pets. Good beds. Tidy. Only thing is we paid a few dollars for an upgrade to executive room and that was a mistake - i think they shrink the bathroom to an unreasonably small size to squeeze in a sofa none of use and its just not that great of a design. All in all we like it and would stay again.....in a regular room.

I felt the room was very clean, we didn’t use the pool but it looked good, hall ways were clean. We had an early flight and did have the breakfast but they also have a little snack station by the counter, items for purchase. Check in was quick. Some reviews complain about a chlorine smell I didn’t notice. The halls have a clearer perfume smell but it wasn’t to strong and it’s better than smelling like ass!

Everything was damp
It was pretty terrible. After a 9 hour drive with my husband and dog, I really expected to come into a decent place. I didn’t expect a 5 star or anything but the room smelled terrible. Everything was damp. Sheets, towels and the air. The AC wasn’t working properly, and they tried to cover up the smell of the room with scented aerosol which in return gave us a headache. Very uncomfortable stay. I let them know in the front office before we left and they didn’t even offer to take off the dog fee for such a crappy stay. So customer service could use a little work.

The man who checked us in (Ken) didn’t even look at us and maybe said 3 words while checking us in. Seemed like he really hates his job. The hotel itself was just ok. The bed felt like we were sleeping on a box spring mattress. The room was spacious and clean, but the door looked like it had been kicked in before. It did not close right and it let a lot of hallway light into the room.

The hotel it's self was in great condition, the staff was friendly as well. However...the toilet ran constantly and the air conditioning was god awful! The sound of the air conditioner was like a jack hammer, when it would shut off and kick back on it would wake us up every time! I made sure to let the desk clerk know to have this looked at. Was my stay enjoyable, not in the least bit. Won't be staying there again.

Great hotel conveniently located
Traveling alone with my dog made finding a nice hotel a bit of a challenge. This pet friendly hotel was as close to perfect for us as I could ask for. If I had to find one negative thing it would be that the bed was just a bit too hard. I will definitely stay here on my next trip through Kansas City.

Staff, room was extremely nice. Only negative…hot breakfast was disappointing, waffle iron hot & ready to go, batter dispenser apparently did not work although clearly had been used prior to our 8 o’clock arrival to breakfast. Why have waffle iron hot if waffles not available. Had to wait on biscuits to come out of oven. biscuits not near sausage gravy when finally did come out. Had to ask for utensils to be replenished. Breakfast lady was very pleasant, even though breakfast was somewhat disappointing. However, would stay at facility again & would recommend.

It was about what I expected for a La Quinta. Most of the staff was friendly. But we saw a family get complained to by a staff member and a guest at different times because they were talking to each other at breakfast and a kid ran down the hallway at 8pm. I guess kids aren't welcome here.
