The swimming pool and hot tub were great. The mens locker room was fully equipped with shampoos, soap, razors, combs, etc. Our room was enormous and we had views on 2 sides. Very clean and modern with all amenities.

The staff are quite friendly and the service was good! The door was loud. So when someone opened the door and when the door closed automatically, I heard a bang of noise. I heard people knocking at the other doors around 4 AM, which woke me up. When I left my own room, I heard the door,as if it was slammed shut. Is that saying good bye sound for guests? uhmm, I wish the doors were gentle. The pool was good. Water a bit cold. Wondering how often the water got changed. The whirlpool was warm and comfortable. Hyatt needs to test the doors. :)

Worth staying longer

Front desk was amazing! We walked to Olive from Westlake Station, asked if we could leave luggage until check-in and the allowed us to check in early. Loved the yogurt deli. Clean rooms, great spa, pool and hottub. Clean weight room. We had an added perk of Pittsburgh Steelers staying the same weekend! Definately recommend!

Enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. We used the valet parking where we left our car at the hotel and walked to Pike's market. It is very convenient to everything. It is walking distance to monorail where we took that to the space needle.

Very convenient to transit. Took train to a football game and again to a hockey game. Pittsburg Steelers stayed at the same hotel so it was a treat to see them around the hotel. Lots of great food options nearby.

This Hyatt was nice but nothing what I expected. The pool and hot tub was ALWAYS full of kids, regardless of the time, so no peaceful time for adults, the restaurants were incredibly overpriced and the food wasn't anything to call home about, and very disappointed there was no tub in the room. Also, no transportation available, had to find our own, and very little info on activities, though the staff was nice to suggest some things. Probably won't stay here again.

The staff were great! Very friendly. We had no issues with our stay but the two things I would say weren’t the best were the beds (rather hard) and the only parking was through the valet and was a bit expensive. The amenities were clean and the location perfect for us.

Rooms and staff were professional and friendly. Breakfast and dinner options were too limited. I am not a bagel kind of person for breakfast especially At high prices. $16 for a bagel is a little more than I was willing to pay. I would have preferred a traditional breakfast.

Valet scratched my rear bumper
I have stayed at the Hyatt Olive 8 numerous times and I love this hotel. The hotel itself rates a 5 star but this review is only for the valet service I received this last visit. I recently bought a new car, the vehicle is no more than 3 weeks since I purchased it and still has a temp tag. I made the huge mistake of leaving with valet and since it was an oversized vehicle (high clearance) it needed to be parked in the limited front spots. On the day of check out it was parked right by the valet stand and I immediately noticed something was wrong. My vehicle was parked literally touching the back wall with my vehicle’s back bumper. I couldn’t check the bumper there since other parties were waiting for their vehicle so I checked it that same day, took pictures and tried to contact them. My bumper is now scratched and funny enough, the scratches are the same color of the building’s paint. I am furious and I have tried to contact them 3 times and each time I am promised a valet manager will be contacting me but I am now on day 4 that I checked out, and still no one has contacted me. I am leaving this review to warn others not to use their valet service as they have ZERO accountability. I called the hotel lobby to explain this, and they too, do not care and keep passing me onto valet who do not follow up. Please do the right thing and contact me! My vehicle is new, it had no damages, scratches, nothing! Attached the pictures of my damages.

Great gym, great indoor pool and spa facilities! The adjacent restaurant Tidal was a little lacking & was backed up and didn’t provide room service the night we wanted it, so we got doordash instead. Overall a great hotel and very walkable and close to everything.

Our corner king room was huge with windows around both sides of the building providing great city views including a view of the paramount theater sign. The hotel is quiet and super clean. Everything is well maintained. All the staff we’ve encountered have been fantastic. This hotel has exceeded our expectations. Worth every penny. We will definitely book here again in the near future.

Upon checking in. The lady said we had a discount due to my pre paid package for parking off $10/ day. I confirmed several times. When I checked out they charged me $48/day. Implying I got a $10 off discount. Person on site was not helpful and they needed to come up with better system

I had a fantastic experience at the Hyatt Olive on 8th! The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The customer service was top-notch, with a team that genuinely cared about my comfort. The rooms were not only beautiful but also spotlessly clean. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend this Hyatt location!

Love the location of this hotel. This area of Seattle is pretty flat compared to other areas. It’s next to a lot of shops and restaurants. I love how clean then hotel is and how bottled water is provided. If you need hot water, there is a dispenser in the lobby (cups provided).

I had a lovely stay in the luxury suite here - many windows, great views, comfortable bed. My only complaint is the food/room service situation. I was looking forward to indulging in room service wake up for breakfast, and they did not offer it. Additionally, it was hard to figure out what food was available with the difficult-to-find (and misspelled) tv menu. The bagel shop downstairs was good, with a lot of variety in the spreads - but be prepared to taste more than one because they cut my bagel, with plain cream cheese, with a dirty knife leaving something red on it. Bleah. Other than the food sitch, everything else was nice.

The Hyatt is wel located, rooms spacious with coffee bar. Clean. The spa pool hot tub steam and sauna very nice . They even had umbrellas for Seattle weather.
We walked to most places , the light rail is ex elle t and close by, and. Th monorail was fun too.

FOH Staff was excellent. Easy check in, rooms were clean and organized. The only reason for 3 stars was no bar available for any drinks. Had to go across the street to Hyatt where the bar was packed with conventioneers. Not super comfortable or relaxing after a full day. No morning room service for coffee or breakfast. Automated pizza machine was out of order.

Ice hotel and nice location. Very clean. Nice gym and pool area. Spa expensive. No robes or slippers in room. No hooks to hang wet coats in room. No hooks to hang robes once we got them. No shoe cleaner.
Basically a bit sparse for cost.
Staff all very friendly.

Last Stadium Tour on bucket list
When I picked out this hotel, I wanted it downtown & close to public transport. We were about 3-4 blocks away from the light rail & monorail. The main reason we came here was to go to a Mariner’s Game at T-mobile Park.
I purchased a Seattle City Pass to see all the popular sites. Along with the ball game we & sites from the City Pass, we did a Segway Tour, Pike Market Place & the Underground Walking Tour. We were able to use the public transportation for all of these things.
A big shout out to Molly (she worked at the desk at the Hyatt) for helping us become familiar with downtown & make suggestions of places to eat. Housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning the rooms daily. Beds were comfortable.
A car is not necessary if you’re just staying downtown & willing to use public transportation. I never felt unsafe. Security was all over the place.
I’d recommend this place to others.

A hidden gem!
First class customer service! Suite was huge, comfortable, with nice views. Location is walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and tourist sights. The restaurant was awesome, specifically the half-chicken dish. The cafeteria and pizza machine near the lobby were substandard. Recommend "Chan Seattle" around the block for a superb breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

Customer service was super. Since, we arrived early they worked on getting our room ready, for an early check-in. As we just came from a cruise line. Umbrellas were provide as we walked out to get something to eat.
Morning taxi was called for us as we had an early departure.
One bad thing NO Soap in the soap dispenser while taking a shower. I had to wash with water only, ugh!!
