This hotel is very conveniently located to restaurants. There is a very nice pizza place right on the property you could park your car and not get back in it until you leave. The beach is a block and a half away. You can hear the waves crashing at night outside your hotel door. The peds were comfortable the breakfast they served was good. We ate dinner at sliders Seaside Grill, and it was delicious. As an FYI, there are not coffee pots in the room and I was not aware that they would charge me $10 for the overnight parking fee. But as close it is to the beach $10 is not much I just wasn’t aware

The room was clean & the bed was very comfortable The bathroom needed a good cleaning. There was an extra fee for parking and room service was available only upon request.

Rate was good but this property is in need of a full update as it is tired. Cleaning staff does a wonderful job & the linens are clean but you can only do so much in an older property that has not been renovated.

This is an older motel. Clean rooms but dated. Their site didn’t say anything about their remodeling. Their site said they had a breakfast buffet but it was only cold cereal and muffins. Staff were very nice. Price was good but the $25 resort fee was for nothing. Pictures did match the room age.

Disappointing stay
The room was older but ok. However, we stayed 2 nights and no maid came the 2nd day to make the bed or replace linens. No extra blankets and no extra towels in the room. We went for breakfast and the only thing available were prepackaged muffins. We asked at the front desk and were told that they were going to close the lobby breakfast area on the 1st as they had gotten bought out by Hilton and would be going through major renovations.

Very good hotel for a quick over-night stay during a longer trip. Awesome pizza parlor next door and only a block from the ocean. Only downer is that there is no elevator.

Love this place. Its an older hotel in need of some updates, but its an incredibly friendly staff. Its within walking to distance to food, drink & the beach. The only real disappointment was that during our 4 day/3 night stay, NOT ONCE did they have fresh towels. Everytime we asked, we were told they were out... to just go get some drom the pool. Never heard of that before... THAT was definitely a let down!!

A bit of Sunshine
The hotel was nice but needs better signage out front to find. In the room, their are limited plugs and no lamps with phone slots. The wall sconces can be updated. Upon first entering room, it smelled. No coffeepot, so bring your own. Limited towels upon arrival in room. The bathroom was tight, if your a large person, good luck squeezing in to the small bathroom. The pool was large, I did not use it. The breakfast room was nice and bkfst was ok better than most. No hot foods. AC and heat worked but fan was noisy. Bring clips for curtains as they do not close all the way. Also,I brought my dog and she gave me 2nd floor. Was told if I wanted 1st floor, I would have to contact Expedia, which I never had that happen in any other hotel. The hotel was not that busy to where I could not get a first floor. They do have a doggie area but it should be fenced in and better lighting at night. They have bikes and carts for beach, which you pay an extra $50.00 deposit. They state a bar on property, but it was never open. Pizza restaurant next to hotel, good food. Other restaurants/bars in walking distance. I would stay again as it is convenient to everything.

Overall pleased with our stay
Room was very clean and modern. Breakfast buffet was more of an upgraded continental breakfast. No hot eggs or meat just mediocre sausage gravy in a crockpot and cold biscuits. The pool area was exceptional and the available beach chairs and wagon was the best feature. Bar was closed. Short easy walk to seaside park with beach access. Dog friendly for a fee. Overall pleased with our stay and would stay again.

We found clear evidence of bed bugs in the room.. We left immediately. The hotel would not refund our money. The hotel staff did not believe us even though we had picture. We are trying to get it back through Expedia.

Property is very old. The area within the fence of the property needs additional lighting. Multiple people milling about late at night amd early morning hours. Homeless individuals in congregating in the parking lot and by the restaurant. Room doors wide open very late at night.

The location here can't be beat, but the hotel was bad. First room were went to had mold and we were moved to another room, which had more. When we called to let the desk know, they argued and were rude with us about it when we decided to just take the first room. We were working remote during the day and asked that if somebody needed to come see the mold (they insisted and I sent them photos) they just call first and they prompted them to be very rude. The next morning the staff was very friendly, but the first day and overall cleanliness of the property ruined it. We will be back to the area but will stay further from the beach for better accommodations. Such a shame and very disappointing.

No elevator. We called to ask for ground floor room, we both have some mobility issues. We were told they could not change our room because we booked through a 3rd party site, Expedia. Room and property need updating. The onsite bar was permanently closed. We found a dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door. A roll of toliet paper appeared to have gotten wet but was still placed on the holder. They did not provide a coffee maker, we went out and bought one. I would not recommend this hotel.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was dirty and bed hard as a rock. Price was good but you get what you pay for. The headboard was gross. Went for free breakfast at 9:00 totally cleaned out. I’ll be staying elsewhere.

Slightly better than a park bench
If you want a place so you don't want to sleep on on a park bench, this might do..
Hardest bed I have ever try to sleep on, bathroom was clean and they are close to the beach. They also have a $75 pet fee.
Went to my car at 6:30-7am and there were people sitting out smoking and drinking beer by their front door, Looked but couldn't find any "southern charm" as claimed on their website.

This property did not match the photos or description at all. All doors are exterior. Ours had a huge dent in it, the room reeked of a majuana smell as soon as we opened the door. The TV console looked as if it had been chewed on at the bottom. Room including bathroom dirty or stained, not sure which. Upon viewing the room, we returned the key. We asked for at least a partial refund and was told it could not be given. We left losing over $130 and drove to Jacksonville and had to pay for another stay!!😡

This property is advertised as a hotel which in my opinion is misleading advertising because this place at the most classifies as a motel. Check in staff on the rude side assuming that all guests are destructive in nature. Checking out time was impossible to get a hard copy receipt so at the moment of this review I was unsure if the check out process was completed. Overall very disappointed with this hotel (actually the worst of my vacation). Will not recommend nor stay here never again.

The bed was super comfortable. I wish there was a little coffee machine in the room. The shades on the window did not block the light, so I placed towels and pillows to block the light. The front desk is amazing, so kind and helpful.

Great value hotel in a great location
Employee was very helpful. Check-in was quick and smooth and she got us an extra blanket quickly upon request. 1 downfall, coffee isn't available until 7am, so we needed to go out and get coffee. Nice, clean, and quiet, and reasonably priced for a "no frills" hotel, and within walking distance of several restaurants. I have already recommended it to others.

Pleasant trip
Rooms were very clean and nice. Showers were also very clean. Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Will be staying here again! The lounge was great and the bartender was terrific! Only complaint I have is there should be some meat for the breakfast. There was no bacon or sausage and instead of oatmeal how about grits? Or even add the grits as well. We are in the south we like grits.

There is no Food/Beverage Credit as stated, and No Breakfast Buffet. The staff is not attentive to your concerns, and for that matter were not friendly at all. I don't know if the Food/Beverage credit stated was an error on Hotels.com part or the hotel itself. I did not mind paying the extra fees at the time of booking because I was led to believe that Food/Beverage was included in the price. The resort fees were charge an this is by far a "resort".

Like that it was close to the beach and some restaurants, and to the Historical District .
the only thing was one of the girls at the front desk a little blunt to explain about additional fees due to some amenities at the hotel.

Breakfast Buffet was great! The pool was dirty, room had dirty floors and and being pet friendly, well the room had an odor of cats and pet hairs all around including seating areas. This place could really use a total makeover. As close to the beach as it was located, one would think it would be 4-star motel, I give it a 1-2!

I was very disappointed in the state of the room we stayed in. We had quite a bit of blood on the mattress and curtains. We killed 2 roaches also. The room had a smell and our bedding was dirty. We thankfully brought our own bedding so we were able to change the bedding. The only thing nice was the bar on the property. The staff was nice and apologized the day we checked out. I was just very disappointed in the state of our room for the price you pay.

Great stay and location
Fantastic stay we will definitely be back. Wonderful location, great pool, great bar onsite didn’t try the pizza place but smelled great. Staff was warm and friendly. We stayed round the back of the motel from pool by the courts and it was quiet.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was clean, had a modern feel, and was steps from the beach and a variety of restaurants. Pool and hot tub were awesome at the end of the day. Highly recommend, ignore the haters. 🙂

We have stayed at this property multiple times in the past. This visit was by far the worst. They had a "new policy with new management who would not let a 20 year old to check in. No manager on-site. staff would not help out at all.

This hotel looks to have residence living here, we paid in advance fully but when we got there it was other fees for amenities when we asked about them the girl behind the desk got rude with us because we asked for an explanation and we used none of their amenities at all for 1 night. There was no rags, just a rag rapped in a design on counter. It was a basic room even though we paid for premium, the lighting didn't work in the room and 1 light we had to screw light bulb in ourselves, the other light did not work. The television wouldn't cut off and the remote wouldn't turn it off or cut the volume down so we had to sleep with the tv loud and on until my husband was fed up and literally moved the entire entertainment thing to unplug it at 3am, very disappointed
