Fine for a night, nothing special - room is tiny and place is old but was clean and fine. Wifi was terrible, almost useless. Don't recommend for work. Food options are sad. Breakfast was sad.

The room wasn’t spotless, but it was clean enough. Thank God I had a Great Dane with me or I wouldn’t have felt safe walking outside.

The "hotel" gives a feeling og a cheap motel: external entrance to the room, reception through a bullet proof glass. Not a good feeling.
The room is very clean but there is no real closet or dresser, just an open rail to hang items.

Would stay again for a pet friendly stop on our NC
1 night stay on our way down to NC from DC. Needed a safe, clean, comfortable stay with our new dog. Great location, friendly reception and clean room. Well priced without an exorbitant pet fee!

Better than expected
Just needed a place to sleep while traveling through the area. Reviews were mixed, but took a chance. Surprisingly pleased! Front desk rep was super sweet and helpful. Room was really clean. Bathroom/shower was nice. Bed was comfy. Very quiet! No complaints whatsoever.

Updated hotel. Bathroom newly renovated. Great place for pet friendly stay. Convenient to take my dog out for potty. Lighting outside was good for walking dog at night.

The door was really dirty. It was clear that cleaning lacks at this property. There were also shoe marks on the wall in front of the toilet. Smelled of cigarettes in the room and bed was extremely firm.
Stayed here for a quick night during a road trip. Does the job but nothing special. And pretty costly for what you get. I would think $75-80 for a night is what I would expect for this stay.

The staff provided the key even though the room wasn’t ready. That was appreciated since we didn’t return until very late. Room was clean. Bathroom was exceptionally clean. Bed very comfortable. We were on the second floor at the end so there was no foot traffic and it was quiet. Vending machines and ice accessible. Coffee was good. Breakfast was ok. Hot options limited but there were a variety of other options. All around a nice experience. I’m sure we will stay again since it is near our son’s college.

Worst stay ever had
It is one of the worst stays for me. The Bathroom water don't drain after bath. The bathroom door cannot be lock properly. If the A/C is switched on its too colder for the bed near to the A/C and warm for the people lying on the farther end. No water bottle for Guests. 2 Full bed for 4 persons not at all comfortable and bit cramped. Totally the worst stay i ever had.

Great place to stay
Check in was quick and front desk person was sweet and helpful. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and consisted of make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, breads, muffins, yogurt, cereals, juices, milk and apples. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked. Views of the mountains were all around. Food and gas stations were very close. Definitely will stay again and highly recommend. Stayed 5 nights

Much Better than expected
Normally we do not stay at Quality Inns as they are not that good but here is the exception. Room was clean, bed was good and everything worked! (Meaning the fridge, the coffee machine, the TV, the shower etc.) The person at the desk when we checked in on Friday was helpful, informative and friendly. Well done everyone.

Bed smelled like urine. Went too sleep. Too tired to complain just drove 14 hours. Room dated and could use big refresh. The staff were friendly and warm. I did not mention the issues to them as there was no point after I slept in the bed all night.
I will not be staying here again, will choose a different property next time I pass through.

The shower head came out of the wall enough that you could see light from the other room...felt a little weird. The accommodations could use some updating. The no smoking in the pool should be enforced - we didn't use the pool because it wasn't. The person who checked us in was very nice.

Great place for family stay
Check in was great, I believe (Megan was the young lady’s name) was very helpful and friendly, even recommended where to dine, all with a smile.
Room was very clean with comfortable beds and pillows, and efficient. ( they also have a pool)
Area was very quiet safe, and had many places to dine. Will definitely stay here again!

Hotel was great. Check in was easy. Have stayed here before. Room was clean and nice and bathroom had been updated. We have traveled all over the country and this was the nicest bathroom. Breakfast was excellent waffles, biscuits and gravy scrambled eggs, etc... Great place to stay.

Perfect Overnight Stay
We were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable and clean hotel we chose for our overnight stay after driving all day. The king bed was great and the sofa was perfect for relaxing and enjoying takeout from one of the numerous restaurants in the area. The lovely young woman who checked us in and whose nametag read Adore, was friendly and helpful. She told me her actual name and it fit her to a T. If I had to beef about something, it was at breakfast where they didn’t have milk for the cereal. I’d like to suggest for the future they also serve almond milk for those who prefer non- dairy milk. But there was whole wheat as well as white bread for toast which was nice.
The Salem Quality Inn was great and the price was right. Book directly through the hotel to get Choice Hotel points.

I got to the property after the stated check in time. Front desk informed me they had to verify which rooms were clean. I waited 30 minutes to get into my room. The room was not clean so they put me in a different room. The room doors were prepped for paint and scuffed to the bare metal. They advertise pet friendly but i watched the clerk deny a couple with a cat. I have a well trained dog and they charge a non refundable pet fee. Most hotels i have stayed in refund the fee if there are no accidents or pet damage. Not these misers! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Rented two rooms for my family. Easy access to I-81. Met my expectations for the price I paid. No negative comments. I did see some minor repairs needed, 2x4”s laying near hallway stair corridor, one ice vending machine out, and tape on one of the stairs. Coffee maker and small refrigerator in rooms. Breakfast had choices including eggs and muffins, cereal, waffles, etc.

The Hotel was pretty dirty, and in need of some general maintenance. For-instance:
The door key card mechanism was torn up and worked intermittently.
The carpet was soiled and the walls dusty.
There was a cockroach crawling across the bathroom floor to great us upon our arrival

Showing its age. However, the Quality Inn is well cared for. There is a very slight smoking odor in the room. The carpet is not new. The shower / tub could use an upgrade. Do we really need tubs? The tub is rarely used I am sure.
Micro wave, hair dryer, and fridge were not used.

Overall good stay at this property - breakfast was plentiful and selection of items available pleasing. Room was good - comfortable bed and shower water pressure and temperature excellent. Only issue was tub surface had peeled and needed to be replaced which was told at checkout rooms were going to be updated.

When I arrived, they told me they had to CANCEL my reservation because they only allowed dogs. I had stayed here before WITH my cat and it was not a problem! I then had to quickly find other accommodations. 😠

Disappointing stay
Very unpleasant stay. There was loud music coming from a close room until about 2am. The room was located in the very back corner. I’m not sure if that is due to 3rd party booking or having a ‘pet friendly’ room. I was charged a $250 pet deposit. It was credited back about 3 days later.
