Beds were very comfortable. Room has received some nice upgraded flooring etc. Bathroom still needs a little work... caulking was not done, trim needs to be painted, shower temperature was set too low. Bathroom walls were quite dirty.

Nice little hotel, clean and safe
I have stayed at this hotel for several years now because i have family in the area. Through the years this hotel has upped its game.
No carpet, flooring very clean, i know because i wore socks and they didnt get dirty. Updated mirrors, comfy beds, clean linens and towels that dont smell like staight bleach. Best of all, very affordable and safe.
I thought about paying more out of town but from my first stay to this one, its my go to because its close to family.

Keep expectations in check
The facility is a down-on-its-heels motel that Wyndham has tried to improve with lots of paint.
Most of the personnel seemed to be trying hard to make the best of the situation.
Breakfast was the best part about our stay: the attendant's sunny disposition was a great start to the day.

Suite was very roomy and it was a surprise that it had two full bathrooms. The sofa bed really only fits one adult comfortably. The furniture is newer but the mattresses are not comfortable.

Found the room in desperate need of refurbishment. smelly and dirty too. The people above us had a kid who never stopped trampling around and it is now 12:30 am. Dogs barking and we can’t sleep. Would never recommend this place!

Needed cleaning service daily.

As far as motels go, it was average. We stayed here for a weekend event as it was the only vacancy nearby. It would not have been my first choice, but it was adequate for our needs and budget. The room was spacious and well furnished. The bathroom seemed as though it had been hastily renovated, but was clean and functional. The front desk was courteous, and the breakfast bar was excellent, albeit a bit odd since it shared a space with a Thai restaurant. Overall, the Baymont served our needs and provided a clean, safe room for our travel

The room I was in was good for the price paid compared to other Front Royal places I have stayed. Hard surface floors, not the best workman ship, lot of caulk used around shower, shower curtain rod was barely holding on, paint/caulk(?) stains in bath tub. The room was fairly clean. It was good for just me. I would stay here again.

Horrible experience with both the rooms and customer service from front desk and manager. Manager avoided at all costs, to this very moment. I want a full refund, two nights.
We moved twice and paid for the king suit with jacuzzi for a birthday getaway. Initially the room had a large red, seemingly blood, stain (photos) on bed, unclean room.
The new room was also unclean and under construction; there were bugs, spiders, ants beetles, broken table. Most importantly, an unsecured lock (randomly opened and wasn’t safe to leave)— no deadbolt, unsafe door. I was moved again, zero assurances, into the initial room with the red stain after it was cleaned.
This room had a broken coffee maker, broken microwave, our keys stopped working,
no internet. This is not what we paid for, and the customer service, and the manager avoidance, was the worst I’ve experienced.

You could tell that they were trying to improve their appearance w/a sloppy paint job, chair covers, painted drywall compound all over walls too look like a “style” rather than putting it over cracks/holes repairing the drywall properly & wood-looking vinyl flooring. But it’s still a dump & in definite need of some updating- unfortunately because it has concrete walls- quite a bit of demo would have to be done to upgrade to modern standards.
The “sleeper sofa” was a very uncomfortable & very narrow futon-not a sofa & not big enough for 2 people.
The AC worked- 1 of the 2 microwaves in our “suite” worked. The internet was not high-speed but was free w/no security on it. There was a stove top in the “suite” but there was no way I was cooking anything on it- the burners sat wonky on the top & looked dangerous. Having 2 bathrooms was nice. The sheets were crisp & clean.
The pool was very basic but the water was swimmable.
The breakfast was basic but edible- sausage link, cereal, make your own waffles , pancake shaped egg disc, bagel, toast, & regular drinks
When we went to check-in they asked for my credit card ( I had already pd for the room in full through Expedia)- I told the clerk I pd w/ Expedia …long story short - she charged me 2 additional times w/ 2 different prices for the room that was already paid in full. she assured me that “this was how it was done” & that Expedia would be altering their “hold” to reflect what they charged me.

Nice friendly older motel in the heart of things
The Baymont is right In The heart of Front Royal literally right at Main St. it is older but clean . My only complaint is the pool was too dirty to swim or cool off in .. Staff very kind and accommodating.. Nice continental breakfast. . Super dog friendly! The whole town is🐕. Great area for walking into to Main St and restaurants across the street is excellent . Also a Dunkin on the other corner .. If in the area would stay again ..

There was black mold in the bathroom and only a small amount of toilet paper and no tissue box. Had to get them at the office. Strange hairs left in shower from previous tenant(s).
No coffee cups to accompany the coffee maker.
Didn't appear the room was vacuumed in quite some time. Floor was filthy
You can plainly hear conversations from another room via the vent in the bathroom.
Breakfast, on the other hand, was exemplary!
I don't recommend you stay here.

A friendly staff makes all the difference
The best thing about our stay was the friendly customer service: Carla, who greeted & checked us in was absolutely lovely, setting the right note for our stay. The room was clean and some updates had been done (light adjustable mirror and the bathroom itself). The complimentary breakfast was generous, and again the friendly care of Ashley who served it added to the pro's of our stay. Nice landscaping in the common area, and the pool had just opened and was nice. The only downside to out stay was the metal wrapping that surrounded the bed (apparently something all of the Baymonts do) - it echoed and vibrated whenever we moved during the night, making a noise anywhere from a light gong to sounding like a creaky metal garage door opening. Most baffled as to why anyone would thing this was a good idea, and the other guest we talked with over breakfast also complained about it. That aside, we'd still probably return, as the staff was so friendly and the location was convenient to the main street of Front Royal, and the good restaurants that Carla had recommended to us.

We made our reservation through Expedia. When we arrived, the hotel manager said that we didn’t have a reservation. After 50 minutes on the phone with Expedia, we were able to make a reservation with the hotel manager. Terrible experience with Expedia staff with limited English. The hotel is very rundown. Our room did not have locks on the inside. No shampoo or other amenities. The bathtub was dirty. The beds are terrible! Breakfast is a joke.

Property is close to downtown... easy walking.
Unfortunately due to updated room was not as clean as it should be. Floor was dirty and bathroom towel rack not attached properly. Also the shower curtain did not keep water in tub and floor became wet and slippery.

The room and the bathroom wer extremely dirty I took pictures to prove it. Total disappointment we had a family funeral to attend, so we decided to stay close to their house and booked 2 nights . first no one was at the lobby when we arrived and we had to call a number the left in case of emergencies. Second day no room service to clean the bathroom and the room and resupply. Disgusting place inside and out. The breakfast was horrible. Just white bread and white bagels.

Very conveniently located within walking distance of the charming downtown area of Front Royal. The sheets and towels were immaculately clean, and the front desk staff were friendly and professional. The property itself has seen better days. The room furnishings were mismatched and some were broken. The walls had holes where pictures used to hang. You could both feel and hear the mattress springs while lying on the mattress. The one elevator for this 3 story hotel was broken. Overall it would be an ok place to spend a night if the price was right, but for almost $180 it was not worth it.

Good place to stay for the night. The barbecue place across the street was amazing. It’s called Pave Mint Tap house. There are people that permanently live there. They have bug zappers for the millions of bugs in the area. They are zapping all night. You will hear them. Breakfast was good. Not worth the 118 we paid but it was the only one available at the time. Staff was very friendly.

The room was musty and the floors sticky.
There was a trash can in the stairwell leading to our room which had a terrible odor so much that you had to stop breathing to pass by it to go upstairs.
The toilet tank handle was broken. The room and the hotel needs a complete makeover.

Well it was disappointing! First we did not have 2 wash clothes. 1 light not working! The shower head was spraying water everywhere, the Air conditioner was very noisy, the room was unpleasant! We have stayed at Baymont before and this was our 1st bad experience! Esp. For what we paid for it! Trust me we are not real picky people but this was sub-standard for Baymont!

Oh boy, where to start? First, I should have followed my usual advice and read the reviews. I should have also been more clued in when I realized there were quite literally no cars or guests around the hotel.
Checking in was simple. I was told breakfast would be in a bag we were to pick up at the desk in the morning, and just chalked this up to the pandemic. Then bringing the bags up to the room, the tiled internal hallway smelled strongly of cleaning solution. There was a random toilet sitting in the hall. The building is in a two-story motel style, with doors facing a busy street and allowing in noise. Then, after dropping everything in the room, we saw the bugs. They were everywhere - crawling on the pillows, bed sheets, chairs, and walls, and behind the glass covering the pictures on the walls. Furniture was nicked, scratched, and peeling. The chairs were soiled.
Thankfully we booked via Orbitz, we helped negotiate us out of the hotel, get us a partial refund, and arrange for a very nice hotel without charging us for the higher price. This was a well-learned lesson.
When the deputy manager at the new hotel learned we were booking last minute because we were dissatisfied with the hotel we had booked, he said, "Let me guess. Was it the Baymont?" The hotel is known to have a bad rep throughout the community. I hope they can pull themselves out of it, but for now - you've been warned!

There were bedbugs on the bed, insects and trash in the room. There are only the simple chains to lock the door, and you could see light all around the door frame. We left, and checked out on the spot. The dude at the front desk wasn't even surprised.

Upon arrival, I was charged an extra $120. Told they did not have buffet due to covid (reasonable) but I could pick up my breakfast package between 6-9am. The next morning, I go to pick up my breakfast of Cold coffee and a choice of 4 flavors of quaker instant oatmeal packet, but no hot water (unreasonable). Told to grab a bowl and spoon under coffee and with obvious direct observation form front desk clerk The grounds are covered with litter and dangerous chemicals are left out side (would not bring children). My Room: every wall had what appears to be mold on them and dead bug carcasses on floor. Electrical outlets are overloaded and a potential fire hazard and the one at the sink wasn’t a GFI. The taped up pone cord was disconnected when I came into room, glad my 85 yr old mom wasn’t staying alone here. Balcony supports are deteriorating and eroding. The exterior stucco wall has major cracks as if the foundation has shifted. The Dog run area is partially fenced in. Bottom line we payed $180 a night for something I would have never knowingly even entered and feel is unsafe in more ways then one. It is apparent front desk people are very use to complaints and smile as you try to explain, one I think actually snickered. Wyndham you should be appalled by this Baymont. Check all reviews. Believe them, I wish I had

There were roach, mold, bathroom were dirty, spider web, no carpet, room is old, and smells like a bathroom. The bed is not comfortable and you can feel the string on your back. I will Not recommend this Place. I would rather stay in a dollar tree. For the price of $90 it’s not worth it! You guys I mean EXPEDIA supposed to help me find a nice place to stay. Also the check in clerk says it’s cheaper to check in to their place than checking to your website. I am very disappointed!

The attendant at check in was on a personal phone call upon arrival and he helped us check in with as little service as possible. Our room was worn and in need of updating. Smelled stuffy. All of the light bulbs in the room were about 200 watts, the tub was clogged and drained very slowly and the furniture was stained. The water was hot and the bed was comfy though so if you aren't going to spend much time in the room and you are just looking for a place to sleep, this is your place. We also overheard the attendant tell the person in front of us that breakfast was served 6-9 but when we went down at 7, all the lights were off and there was no breakfast, we went out instead. If you don't expect much, book here.

The facility has bugs and was nothing like the pictures that were posted on the web site. My husband and I had to check out and drive 10 hours home on Saturday. As health professionals I a registered nurse and my husband a dentist,we feel that we must report this to the local health department. A couple a head up me in the lobby also checked out due to the bugs. I'm requesting a full refund of $170.29 as the motel can not due this since I booked through Expedia. Feel to contact me if you wish on this matter.
