Mold along wall/floor of shower. Sheets had a stain on them but I think they were clean? First floor hall smelled really strongly of weed. There’s a notice at the check in desk letting guests know they’re “doing only LIGHT housekeeping” including no fresh towels or trash removal unless requested. The notice instructed guests to bag up their towels and bring to the desk if they want fresh towels. They’re calling this a “green initiative” but it looks more like they just don’t have housekeeping staff. Stayed 2 nights and never saw any housekeeping employees. Decided not to try the included breakfast so I can’t comment on it.

They have working electric car charging stations in the parking lot. They are for a Tesla but if you have an adapter you can plug in to a J1772 connection on your non-Tesla car.

Don’t stay here if you need to sleep
The cleaning people were cleaning rooms into the night laughing and carrying on into the night- we complained 1st night. 2nd night kids running up and down hallways into the night. There is no security and apparently no one in charge. When we were leaving 0 coffee cups for coffee and the desk person said “y’all have taken all the cups” whatever that meant! I wouldn’t stay here if you need to rest

The indoor courtyard was interesting and very pretty at night, but there was only one waffle maker for the entire place, and there was not much seating for the number of people eating breakfast. We could hear the crying baby next door, but luckily they fell asleep quickly. It was ok, but not worth the price. I don't like the prices on game weekends.

Excellent staff!
The front desk staff was excellent during my stay! The room was comfortable and clean, and I like the location close to campus. My only complaint was the ground floor room that faced the breakfast area. My window opened to this space, so if I opened the shades, everyone walking by could see right into my room. Otherwise, a very nice stay.

We arrived later in the evening, around 10pm, and another guest needed the double queen that we had reserved. I agreed to take the king that they were not able to use. Then I find out that the room was not ready yet! The hotel was short staffed and the room had not been cleaned at that point and my understanding was that there were several others that were not ready. The staff was great and apologized repeatedly and even offered us a drink or bottle of water. We finally got into the room about 30 mins later.

The bed linen was not entirely clean, I could smell someone’s odor on one of the pillows, it was gross! It’s as though only pillows believed to have been used were changed. The towels are so old! There was a corkroach in the bathroom

The hallways and common areas were dirty. Our hallway was under repair and there was mold growing on the sheetrock. It was loud and guest room doors slam very loudly when guests enter or leave their rooms

BW nightmare
No electricity on one side of the room. Switched rooms and then showered the next morning and the tub would not drain. Had to call front desk and they were going to call maintenance. I was questioning why they weren't aware of this problem if they clean their tubs. Only stayed one night and no apology from the staff or reduced rate for the tub issue. When I complained the GM was more concerned about telling me the first issue of no electricy was because of a tripped circuit which the staff never investigated and just switch rooms.
The fact no apology or any effort to keep me as a customer. I will never stay at a Best Western again

People at the desk were nice. They were short on staff so my room didn’t get clean the first day and items from previous customer was left in the room. Second day we only received cleaned towels. Third days beds made, fresh towels, floors mopped but the carpets were not vacuumed. Pool area wasn’t organized. No clean towels. Dirty towels sat there for three days.

Nothing was horrible, but property was dirty and tired. Sole check-in clerk had to figure out why I was booked into a room that already had people in it— while taking phone calls from guests complaining about a broken TV, requesting a different room, and asking for a discount. Fruit flies in the lobby. Room not clean - moldy shower curtain, broken tiles, dirty coffee maker (that didn’t work). Dirty restroom on the first floor. I skipped Breakfast! I don’t expect much at this price point, but do expect clean and sanitary, and working accessories. I stayed here last year - was much better that time. The location is convenient to campus.

The room was very clean and comfortable. My only complaint, and not a big one, is the pool area could use some attention. With children we stayed at pool. Staff was wonderful and even allowed a late checkout with no charge. Would stay here again

My husband was bit by bed bugs showing about 15 separate bites that happened during the night. Upon trying to notify the hotel of the bed bugs, there was no manager on duty and we were put on hold for 11 minutes and subsequently put on hold a second time. We called the corporate office to report the bed bugs.

I recently booked there my daughter had an open house at Clemson. We had to change rooms 2 times the first one the air conditioning was making a loud noise would not let us sleep then the second room we got the sheets were stained and beds looked like people had just left the room. Also our bathroom was moldy and curtain shower was disgusting. Over all very dirty will definitely not stay there again. Don’t let them pictures fool you.

Our check-in went smoothly. And as I got out of the shower, there were absolutely no towels with the exception of a hand towel. There was milk that had been opened and grapes in the refrigerator from the last people. The tile floor from the doorway to the carpet was sticky. I hate to think about what else has not been cleaned in our room. Very disappointed. However, the young man at the front desk at midnight was extremely helpful and extremely apologetic.

Arrived at the hotel around 6:30. There was a line trying to check in. They only had one person checking customers in. Our room was not ready because some members of the cleaning staff had quit. The manager had to bring in family members to clean rooms. After we got back from the basketball game around 10, the room was in excellent condition. So hats off to the manager who did everything possible to make it a comfortable stay.

My room door was uneven when it was closed causing the light from the hallway to be seen. My air conditioning was very loud the whole time it was on. It sounded like an airplane while it was running. The stay was tolerated for 2 nights. I requested a new room at the front desk but the turn over in rooms would not allow me to switch rooms. The staff was nice and friendly. Breakfast was good as well.

We caught them on a bad weekend. Some staff apparently just quit, so rooms weren't ready and staff was running all over.
That said the room I reserved wasn't available. Instead of a king I was put in a queen double and was told it was because I booked on Expedia. Even though as he explained what happened the same thing would have happened if I booked directly. I was told there were no other rooms available.
Soon after a different 'manager' cam and asked me if I'd like a better room, giving me a King suite that was free but apparently the first guy didn't bother to offer. This manager - there seemed to be 4 or 5 of them - was awesome. Took us to the room, got it set up, and ensured she would take care of anything else we needed. She was great and salvaged the experience.
Really torn on whether I'll go back or not.

The room was not ready at the check-in time so that I had to get ready for my event in the public restroom off the lobby. I also had a staff member try to get into my room at 1:00 am because no one had noted that the room was occupied. Last but not least, there were no cups at all in the room.

Not what was expected. Noisy, no seal around hotel doors, light floods into room making it hard to sleep. No cover on peephole. Doors shut so hard they wake you even from a room a few doors down.

Check in was good. I had high hopes for this stay because of the reviews. The room was clean but I was given a room in the farthest corner of the hotel and my neighbors were loud, in and out all night and the hallway smelled like weed. When I made my reservation, I chose a room overlooking an atrium, instead I was given one overlooking a parking lot. The entry door was sketchy but it locked okay.This could be a nice hotel with the renovations but you have ensure that you don't let just anyone stay. Also, breakfast is not as advertised by the photos. It is the same as any other hotel-I just expected a little more. I've had a rough week and was looking forward to a nice relaxing hotel-didn't happen. Sorry, but I won't stay here again

Check in was easy. Our room however wasn’t clean. There was wine or some other red substance splattered on the bathroom door. There were other questionable substances on the light fixture between the beds. And they bathroom mat was bigger than the towels we had to dry off with. We were there for maybe 12 hours so it wasn’t worth complaining to the front desk about. We won’t be returning.

Weight room is missing the components to actually use the main weight machine (like handles to hook on to weights to move them). Free breakfast closed earlier than advertised. Employee accidentally tried to enter my room at 7am due to check in error. Otherwise, staff was friendly, everything felt easy/convenient.

We booked a room for the weekend Clemson game at the Best Western. On the first night, the AC did not work... the next morning the maintenance person said the compressor was bad and they would need to move us. They moved us to an adjacent room. In that room, the toilet seat came off and the flapper was bad so I had to manually place it to keep it from running all night. I told them about it. We went to the game and got in late the 2nd night. The toilet had not been fixed. So we were oh for two and when I tried to get them to resolve the situation at checkout, they said I had to call back on Monday their manager was not there. So they had not empowered anyone to handle customer service and make this right. I called on Monday and they denied the toilet had broken and to make matters worse said there was nothing they could do about it because I used a 3rd party to book the reservation.
