The Extended Stay America on Maryland Parkway is a no-frills hotel that is conveniently located near Sunrise Hospital. Even though the hotel is in not one of the safest places in Las Vegas, I felt comfortable and safe at this property.

Toilet barely flushed, no hot water and broken elevators, coffee granola bars and muffins for breakfast. Only stayed here to be close to the hospital but would have rather stayed somewhere I could take a warm shower.

The air conditioner in the room was incredibly loud while on, however there was no option to not have it on since it is still rather warm/hot. The outlet by the head of the bed was very loose and didn't feel or look safe to use. We also had to unplug the microwave because it would randomly turn on with no notice. I was woken up to the sound of the microwave beeping as if it was cooking something at 2am. The microwave was very hot to the touch at that time. My husband and I were both sleeping, nobody had touched the microwave.

I was only there for 3 nights and from check in it wasn’t great. 1st my room smelled like stale cigarettes. Im not sure if the guest before me was smoking in the room or if the smell was trapped in the carpet but now all my clothing and even my hair reeks of what the room smells like and Im having a hard time washing it out of my clothes. My sinuses/breathing are a mess from being in there. 2nd my room was not the cleanest. You could tell someone had recently used the toilet as there were still stains on the toilet seat. There were still crumbs around my sink in the kitchen as well. I literally had to go out and buy cleaning supplies to re clean some of the common areas before use. The tub was stained and looked dirty. 3rd my tv didn't seem to be working I figured it may have just been dead batteries and brought it up to the front desk to ask for new ones but instead she gave me another remote that also didn't work and put in a work order for Monday since maintenance is not in on the weekends (I checked in on Sunday the 17th). Monday came and maintenance never came. I checked in with front desk at 1pm on Monday to ask if someone is still coming to my room to check the tv. They told me maintenance was on lunch and they would be there shortly. I left the hotel and came back about 3 hrs later and the tv still was not working. I finally went to the front desk around 4pm to ask if someone was still coming and said he would be there in a few minutes. All the did was replace batteri

Filthy overpriced
This place was extremely dirty. The trash can just outside the front door was overflowing. There was dog poop by sidewalk leading to front door. No carpeted floors in room. Feet were black from dirty floors. Left a day early it was too disgusting.

The area isn't very good. We were there to visit someone in the hospital. The hotel was nice enough to allow flexibility because we weren't sure how long the hospital stay would be. I had a room on the first floor for a couple nights and the outside noise was too much to allow sleep and both nights someone set off the door alarm around midnight. Then I came back and had a 3rd floor room and it was just as noisy. At least the 2nd room had stoppers in the sink and tub, as the 1s room did not. They are slowly remodeling the place, so maybe it will be better one day.

My wife was brought to Sunrise Medical for health issues after our vacation in Laughlin. The hotel is directly across the street which makes it very convenient. The staff is very kind and considerate of your needs.

No utensils available as per their website, for a studio unit. No extra pillows per their website description. Floor was dirty. They charge 25.00/day/dog and it is obvious it is not used to clean the hard floors or carpet. Carpet in the main walking area not even vacuumed. Had to use security to enter even the front entrance. Loitering around the building of suspicious individuals. Staff was somewhat friendly. No breakfast with eating. Coffee was horrible.

This hotel was good. Rooms had everything you need, little kitchen etc. Great place if you have a loved one in sunrise hospital. Its right across the street. Staff very friendly. Only con was shower didn't have good pressure.

Property is not maintained properly. Breakfast cannot be claimed as continental, they just kept a muffin and cereal bar.
Not value for money,I am going to raise a case with expedient for refund and this unfriendly family stay!

No, you cant use the restoom.
Definitely not your typical hotel. Check in was at 3 PM. We got there at 2:45, figured we could check in after doing a 7 +hour drive. Doors were locked and we had to be buzzed in. Once I got in, i was told all rooms were not ready yet. I asked if I could use the lobby restroom since My bladder was full from a long drive. I was told they didnt have one I could use. I will never stay at one of these again. I gelt lime so many people lived there as their personal residence and I was invading their space. No pool, no hot tub, no breakfast, no bathrooms in lobby.

Just awful. No seating or bathrooms inside "lobby" which I find makes them ADA noncompliant. Told to sit outside on a bench while I was being ignored. Staff smoke at the front door right beside sign forbidding it. NO housekeeping except once per week. TV was tiny so useless for old eyes. ONE entrance all other exits alarmed. Better sleep in your car.

BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL!!! OVERBOOKING SCAM!!!
Book this nightmare hotel at your own risk! Apparently, they don’t know the meaning of reservation and that you need to hold a room if you charge the customer a whole night total cost!!!
They overbook and could cancel your reservation on the day of stay! Very greedy and the manager - someone who call himself as just "Jay" is very unprofessional!
I was traveling to Vegas for business and my 12Hrs flight was delay for a few more hours. Made to the Hotel and the were no rooms available even when my reservation was confirmed.
Even worst, they did charge first night to me and the manager refuses to proceed with a refund. I'm looking for legal support to make this people understand this is basically a scam and based on reviews across the board we can confirm many passengers are suffering the same scheme. They charged my CC, the hotel overbooked and I had to scramble to find another hotel on 01:00 AM evening at much higher price! A total nightmare!

Checked very late with prepaid room due to my dad being in the hospital .Staff was combative and extremely rude almost didn't check us in. once she finally did room was filthy 2 tv's in room on dresser one plugged in the other just sitting there. Went back to hospital to check on my dad came back to hotel and key card would not open lobby door. Ended up sleep in my car at hospital til 7am. Sad thing is,is this is the nearest hotel next to the hospital were people could use a place to stay while loved ones are at need. This place should not be in business, and if they remain in business need to clean house and start over they are giving Extend stay a very bad name. I never write reviews but the behavior of this employee was unacceptable and the building needs some serious cleaning. PS My father passed away 6 hrs after I attempted to check in. I have contacted Corporate as well and made a formal complaint.

Rooms are out of date. Many fixtures are broken or leaking. Lots of caulking to waterproof sinks and shower. Key cards stopped working and door handle had to be jiggled to work. Positive was price and convenience to hospital.

I booked a room online I got there to check in. They told me they gave my room away they overbooked, so I was not able to stay. I had to go find another room. This has happened several times with extended stay.

Needed a place to stay.
We were supposed to leave Las Vegas but an unfortunate accident happened.
We had to find a room, non casino room to be exact.
This place for the bill.
It was late, but they check me in. There a small hiccup but it was resolved.
Our room was on the second floor, way in the back away from noisy and busy elevators.
Room was nice and clean. The beds, were nice and soft.
That's what we needed, someplace to drop our heads for the night.
I'll recommend this place, even though, it's my first time at this property.

Check In was complete chaos. They had a strict 3:00pm check in- no exceptions Rooms for most people piling up in the cramped lobby weren't ready. The only way for the one person at the counter to find out if a room was ready was for the lone check in person to physically go the room to check if it was ready. Only two cleaning ladies on staff to clean 46 rooms. We heard many guests complain that their rooms weren't cleaned after all. Some complained that there was human waste in the their room. The "suite" was completely void of any amenities at all to include the kitchen and the bathroom. The hotel supposedly offers some kitchen supplies but given that the poor housecleaners were still cleaning rooms past 7:00pm there was no way to get any of those amenities except for two plastic cups. The lobby clerk was rude and surly. I called corporate "guest services" who insisted that their check in policy was actually 3pm to 6pm tho that isn't stated anywhere that I could find. He made it clear that there was absolutely nothing that the the company would or could do. We were up the creek- too bad for you Mr. Guest. In summary, this is a company that I will absolutely never consider returning to in the future.

First time in Vegas and just wanted something nice and away from the noise so this seemed fine . Checked in right at 3:05pm and the front desk lady was nice and polite but was noticeably upset. I paid got my keys and went upstairs to my room. Noticed that the room is not clean that’s messed up trash everywhere go back downstairs and the lady said that everything was OK. It looks for the housekeeper. The housekeeper was very rude, saying that she didn’t know anything and saying if I’m sure the room wasn’t clean. I wish I took photos, but did not because I just wanted to get to the room and shower and get ready to leave . The front desk lady gave me a key to another room which was clean but the shower in the bathroom look like it was used so did not shower and barely use the toilet there. Late at night people were shutting doors in stomping everywhere. Checked out early. The front desk lady in the morning was very nice.

Room and service failure to satisfy.
Check in was extremly slow . She couldnt find my paperwork. And after they did find on conputer. Theys asked for copy of my id and credit card. They attendat up front could not tell what they do with it ..
I came late with my family, i had no choice but to stay. Then the room smelled so bad like body odor stench and smoke ,pillows to. bathroom wasnt that clean dirt in tub. Good thing were checking out early . It almost unbearable. The attendant that check us in did not seem she would be able to help.
There was a water dispenser that was not working and she had no answer or solution to provide bottled water. . She seemed she was just there. Extremly slow.
Please contact me very unhappy with stay.

We were given a room but the room is not clean yet then we were given another room and this room is not ready yet. After almost 2 hours dealing with front desk and a couple of people onlone we were sent to another hotel but we have to pay it on our own money. We were told that we will be given a full refund from extended stay that will takes 3-4 days. After 3 days we were given only a partial of the money and trying to get the rest of it and was told by a front desk associate to call the manager. I talked with her last week about this and said she still waiting for the manager and she will be calling me about my money. Now seems like they are giving me a run around for my money and even hung up on me when I was talking to this associate. This place don't have a 24 hour maintenance staff to give service to the customer.

Worst front desk person
The lady at the front desk Isabel was the worst person to deal with. This hotel does not have a restroom in the front lobby, I drove 4.5hrs from Phoenix and need to use the restroom badly. Not only she was rude, I couldn't even talk w/ her, she pretty much told me to F off! All I wanted to know while she was doing nothing was to tell me the nearest place to go use restroom and come back.

You can hear everything happening outside. Staff was not friendly. Fire alarm went off early in the morning and stayed flashing and clicking for an extended period.
Stated there was a pool, and there wasn’t.

A great home away from home! I am enjoying my stay so far. I would definitely book a future stay for my family, when we travel. It met all my expectations for cleanliness and comfort. I could lay down in peace. My family was satisfied.

Rooms are nice but CRS not worth it
Front desk was very rude, was greeted with “what do you want “ didn’t bother to let us know where to park or were the room was ended on wrong site of building and walking around twice by the end of that day. Door key was deactivated and needed help from CSR but had to wait cuz she was asleep and bad attitude. Morning people and afternoon workers need CSR training.. and attitude checks

Staff was friendly and helpful. They get 4 1/2 - 5 stars. The property itself well a fewll issues. The floor was dirty. When I asked for a mop staff saids they can give me a mop but no chemicals. I would have to buy myself. Bathroom sink drained slowly. I was thinking this is like a time share. Absolutely not. The full size kitchen is a plus but not equal to timeshare quality. Would I stay again. Yes but I will clean myself. 10 point inspection gets zero stars.

Fridge and tub had not been cleaned very well.

Hotel was disappointing but hotel staff was good
Frankly we were disappointed with several things. First, the hotel website stated that they had an outdoor pool which was not true. Also, there was no hot water our first night. We showered with cold water! I called the front desk to notify them and they stated that they were aware of the situation and were waiting for the plumbers to come. They rectified the situation by comping my first night (I appreciated that). Third, the bathroom door didn't close or lock (we literally had to hold it when using the restroom so it wouldn't open). The grab and go breakfast was coffee, granola bars, muffins, and oatmeal (very underwhelming). Fourth, there were no extra pillows, blankets, or sheet sets (we had to ask for everything extra that we needed). Lastly, there was no ice making machine, they had two empty ice trays in the freezer and told us to fill them with water and make our own ice. I have to say that the ladies in the front desk were very friendly and did try their best to accommodate us and our needs.

The website was specific about the property having a pool and hot tub, which is absolutely not the case. There is no exercise room either. The breakfast was light roast coffee, packaged muffins and nature valley bars--nothing hot and no fruit.

Horrible EXPERIENCE
I will NEVER EVER book this hotel, I got to the front desk just for the rude lady to tell me I didn’t have a reservation which I had just made I told her to let me in so I could show her , she lets me in and t after I showed her my reservation she then proceeds to tell me she can’t do anything for me because she was the laundry lady and that the front desk people had already left , (everything said in a very rude way)I said if there was a manager I could talk to she told me to wait that she was going to call someone after 10 min she comes back and said she couldn’t do anything and that I had to leave because no one was going to get out of bed to come help me ! You don’t treat customers like this if you don’t like your job work elsewhere but don’t make people feel like they are worth nothing !

This is the worst experience I've ever had a hotel. The first night I checked in, I asked for a set of dishes. They gave me a coffee maker, toaster and pan and said they were out of everything else like forks and cups. I arrived late and went the grocery store expecting that they were going to provide basic kitchen utensils. I wasn't able to eat dinner that night. When I came down in the morning to get what needed, they were reluctant to give me dishes like I was going to steal them or something. The next night, I accidentally locked myself out of my room. I went to the front desk to request another key. I showed her my ID and she kept looking at my ID and looking at me and asking me questions as if she was not going to let me back into my room. I was 1:00 in the morning and I'm in my pajamas walking my dog, wondering if I will need to sleep in my car because they are so rude. When I did come outside the hotel, there were homeless drug addicts waiting outside. More than once, I need to walk a different way around the hotel so I could feel safe to get in. NEVER again will I stay at any extended stay. This place is a complete dumpster fire!!!

Witnessed a couple making love
Showed up at 1500 to check in. Was asked to come back at night for a room, then got a room at 1730. We initially got keys for room 312, upon opening the room door we witnessed a couple making love. Went back down and got keys for room 310. Highly disappointed, self explanatory why.

Due to security, the front door was locked so I had to wait outside awhile before staff returned to open the door. The elevator door would not close. The white towels looked dirty grey an dingy. The breakfast was meager. The room was extremely over priced at $248 fir one night.
