Private pool and beach. The staff at the front desk to the cleaning staff always had a smile and were extremely helpful and pleasant. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We were upgraded to a beach view room and my daughter and I had an amazing stay. The room was spotless and spacious. We even saw dolphins swimming outside at our private beach.

Will not stay again
After spending over $400 I was expecting to at least feel welcomed but it was quite the opposite. Front desk seemed to be bothered when asked about the amenities and how to access them. Tried to get a hold of a manager to discuss a problem with the room … not available. Tried to see if anything could be done due to the inconvenience also denied. So definitely will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

Great Property with attached restaurant. Based off the movie so decor of Winter everywhere was cool. Only downside was no hot tub. It being cool out, it would’ve been nice instead of watching the people in the hotel next door (same owner of both hotels), enjoying a jacuzzi. Rooftop bistro in the next door hotel was great

Staff were amazing. Location was beautiful. Absolutely loved the beach attendants Terri and Jamie. They were so good with the kids and fun to chat with. Food was good at the restaurant. We did all meals there. Best mudslide I've had in a long time at the bar on the beach. Rooms were a little more run down but not a problematic issue and they were clean. Loved our view. Coffee at the front desk was plentiful in the morning. Loved the educational moments throughout that you didn't expect. Pool was so warm when the outside air was so cold and made it wonderful to be able to swim even though it was cold. Found thousands of beautiful shells right on the beach. Music till 10 pm and live music was great during the day on Saturday. Atmosphere made us not want to leave. Saw dolphins swimming right out front of the beach around lunch. Found living creatures like sea urchins we focused on putting back in the water. Just a great time and sad we weren't there longer for sure. Cannot wait to go back as it is now a place we will come back to for sure.

The area is very walk-able and safe. plenty of shopping and restaurants in the immediate area. Small grocery store right across the street, and a small fridge and microwave in the room.

I loved the hotel’s private beach access. The hotel restaurant did not look like much but the bartender was very pleasant. Their crab cakes were to die for best that I have ever had. My room was not great was a corner room so view was not great & had an odor. But I was not in the room much only to sleep.

1.5 Star Hotel at 5 Star Prices
I'll never be back. Talk about a nickel and dime operation. Pay for parking, pay for beach chairs, rooms are super small if you are planning on going with a family. They even tried to charge us $30 for 2 beach towels because they were not returned to the front desk. Thankfully caught this at checkout. Marked as "Missing/Damaged" items on the bill. We hadn't even left the hotel. Was debating between this and another hotel. Definitely regretted trying to save a buck. You get what you pay for.

Dec 2023 stay at this lovely hotel resort. First time. Great private beach with a restaurant that served right on the beach. A few minutes walk to Clearwater beach / Pier 60. Front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean. Could use some updating but being as clean as it was, not an issue. Would go back for sure.

Our stay was very good. The only issue we had was with the maid service. Our room was not cleaned every other day as planned. While we were at the hotel for 7 nights we may have had maid service once or twice which left us at times, without towels and the room cluttered.
However, we enjoyed the beach, the food on the cabana was excellent and the people were wonderful!!!

We enjoyed staying at this hotel for our first time in CW and being able to enjoy the beautiful beach was a dream come true for my daughter. The area was safe and we enjoyed all the restaurants in the area. The room we stayed in was the family suite and we loved the setup, lots of space, the view was excellent and beds were comfy. I did a lot of research and chose the hotel because of the eco friendly story and location, but for the price we paid I would have paid extra to stay at a nicer hotel nearby. The hotel is quaint but is in dire need of a remodel and even though the room was ready early before our check-in time, it needed a deep clean. I always travel with wipes and after wiping down all the surfaces with my own wipes and I used a towel to clean the floor all I was surprised with all the dirt I wiped up and I stared off my stay feeling disgusted. I would also suggest that you clean the area leading out to the pool and the pool deck. If I could suggest anything to the hotel is please renovate. We would love to come back to stay and support the hotel’s mission of being eco friendly in the future, but I am not willing to pay what we did for a hotel in the beach that isn’t well maintained.

We had a fantastic stay. The weather was so disappointing but we made the best of our long weekend and met so many great people who were staying at the resort. The food at the the restaurant was amazing and the staff were great. Tammy and Gracie were top notch! Absolutely loved chatting with them and they felt like family when we left. Terry the grounds keeper too was great. You have a great place and will be back when it gets warmer. Ha! Ha! Oh the room is we so nice and clean and the beds were so comfortable! The entire establishment was so clean as well. Thank you for a nice get away.

The property was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. It is near a trolley stop but also walkable to lots of places. The 2 restaurants/bars on site had delicious food and the drinks were great. The pool and beach were nice and had plenty of loungers and umbrellas/cabanas. I thought the $20 a day parking fee was a bit steep, but I had a safe place to park my vehicle during the stay and I knew about the price ahead of time.

Great access to beach. The pool was nice. Outdoor bartenders and servers were awesome but front desk staff were rude. Had to pay $200 to park at hotel for five days. There was also a resort fee. No continental breakfast.

This is probably my new favorite hotel in Florida. I can’t wait to go back. An on property restaurant serves up delicious food that can be delivered to your chairs at the beach. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The beach is GORGEOUS. Love reserving beach chairs that are held for just us, all day. We watched dolphins play for 3 days straight. It was quiet but so fun. The beach bar serves great drinks at very fair prices. 12/10 for a great experience.

The hotel and room were very clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Parking was easy and convenient ($20 parking garage). Plenty of walkable shops and restaurants. The private beach was so nice and monitored, if any boats or jetskis tried to anchor at the beach the staff was right on it. They had chairs and umbrellas available for rent. Will definitely be back!

Getaway. Everything was great except a couple things need work. 1 girl at front desk very rude. Believe name is Tiffany. Made us feel stupid everytime. Rest of staff super nice. Maid service was supposed to be every other day but didn’t come until our last day when we were checking out. Also a family from next door hotel kept coming in using pool and not watching their kids. Very stressful

Krista was just a wonderful server the entire time we were there. Eric got the TV at the poolside bar on and ready for OHIO game time. Jen the bartender was great and stayed a little later so the entire game could be watched. Grace was great at breakfast time. Just a fabulous time for our group of 6 couples.

Very clean the pool chairs need a little care some broken. The balcony was so small we couldnt use. The chairs were so close to rail and ac unit there was no room to sit. Disappointed because i feel like we paid for ocean view with balcony!

My stay was ok, room next to us where loud yelling partying till2am. I think it is disgusting that you charge guess for parking disgusting taking advantage. Beach was not pirate had to pay for chair!! DISGUSTING!!!. NEVER AGAIN.

Love this hotel. We have stayed at many of the hotels on Clearwater Beach but, this so far is my favorite.
The staff is very friendly especially Tiffany at the front desk. It is a perfect place for families. The beach is small however, that is a plus because its steps from the pool.

Had a great weekend stay! The staff was incredibly helpful, and I want to call out a few names.. Mel on the beach was amazing, very hard working and helpful, what a delight. Brad at the front counter knew his stuff and was so quick to get us checked-in and provide answers to questions. And alyssa at the restaurant was a fantastic server, very kind and quick with everything. What a pleasant place to stay!

I liked that the property was ocean front and had own private beach and pool. The staff was very accommodating. The parking was convenient and covered. the food was delicious. I had the Connecticut style lobster roll with mac and cheese from inside grill. I will definitely be back for a longer stay.

The hotel was nice and more is a less congested area! Down by the pier it was very busy and we wanted something less crowded so this was perfect! The staff was awesome very friendly always smiling. The WiFi wasn’t the best but it worked. The beach area was beautiful never crowded. When I come back I def will be staying there again.

The guy at the front desk was nice. The cleanliness of the rooms are ridiculous. I have photos. The bathroom was not cleaned from the prior person at all! I have photos. There was blood stains from a menstrual period on the toilet seat, I had to go to the store across the street and obtain my own cleaning products just to use the bathroom after a 6hour trip. The beach is quiet and less busy than surrounding beaches.

Nice location but not as pictured from website. The hotel is dated and could use some updates. Also, disappointed in pool...the picture make it look like neighboring pool is part of the dolphin but in fact is Hampton inn and suites.

Overall way just okay, we were checked in early but were given a room on 1st floor and it was super noisy, we barely slept. The room got nice and cold, bed was pretty comfy. Bathroom didnt feel very clean. Property overall was pretty tired and so were we.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and not overcrowded. The private beach area was nice.water was clean and warm. Views of boats coming and going was great. Very nice stay, we will definitely be back.

The room was adequate and I really liked having the ability to rent an umbrella with chairs. They also provided beach towels, which was wonderful. Prior to our stay here, we stayed at a different property closer to pier 60 which had much better access to shopping and dining. The reason we switched was because this hotel was on the beach. We were shocked to find that although there was a private beach, it was tiny. Additionally, it is not really the gulf per se, it was like a small channel with land directly across. It was not facing the west, so you weren't able to sit on the beach and watch the sun set like you can on pier 60. Additionally, there is only one elevator and only one family may ride at a time. Also, be prepared to pay for parking. If I went back, I would probably not stay again and would choose a hotel closer to the pier.

I had booked two rooms and and showed up and was told my reservation was cancelled. Never received an email/call/text. Was told they tried to authorize my credit card and it was declined so they cancelled my reservation. My booking showed active in my expedia account the entire time. My credit card was working perfectly so no clue how that happened but a call or at least an email that my reservation was cancelled would have been nice prior to flying from new York. Pretty crazy. We moved to the hilton which was in a much better area no BS like at that joke of a hotel. My son and i rode bikes down to that hotel to check it out pool/beach area and they must have a magic photographer bc it was soooooo small, cramped and run down. Do yourself a favor a book a legit hotel, not this place. I literally never write reviews but felt I had to for this one. Ive travelled all over the world and never has something like that happen. Shame on this place.

Upon entry I was greeted by every staff member. They were very polite. The valet staff were wonderful as well thank you. My check in experience was awful. The customer service woman named Mariah was very rude and talked to you in a condescending manner. She was sarcastic,did not greet you in a welcoming way,was rude in asking for identification and even more rude when asking you to sign. She was awful period. I am not not expecting someone who is the face of the front desk to interact with guests in that fashion. She needs a refresher in customer service her colleagues however were wonderful thank you. The hotel was great very clean great location great beach acess. It was wonderful except for Mariah’s rude interaction.

We had a great time staying here. The resort is very family oriented as well as a great stay for a couples trip. It’s located directly on the beach with chairs and umbrellas for rent. The beach is very clean. The hotel is located close to jet ski and kayak rentals. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. A mini market is across the street to do some grocery shopping with alcohol purchase . Their room mini fridge was large enough for us to do not only a mini grocery shopping but to store leftovers in as well. The bar located in the hotel made delicious drinks and food. Portions were large. Staff was very nice and helpful. If you're visiting , definitely go check out honeymoon and Caladesi island! Only a 30 minute drive. Many hotels and restaurants within walking distance had live entertainment which was really nice and fun. Overall, we would stay again.

Overall the stay here was great and met or exceeded all of our expectations. The property is a great value and offers many amenities onsite. We really enjoyed the way that the hotel is situated on the beach and were so pleased with everything offered to us there. The room was a little larger than we expected and the staff was extremely kind and courteous. We will definitely stay here again if we visit the area.

This property is one of the best we stood at in Clearwater. Of course there is better and more fancy but this absolutely met our needs and more! Noisy 1st Floor
The room was adequate with a pretty comfortable bed. The bathroom had some mold or mildew spots on the shower surround unfortunately - nothing major. My main issue was the noise level. We had a room on the first floor located near the elevator mechanical room and the room service laundry area. The lack of sound insulation near the door made it seem like we left the hallway door open all night. We were hearing drunken conversations until about 2-3AM, then were awoken to vacuuming and room service chatter just after 7AM. The elevator room made a loud wooshing noise every so often that made it hard to get to sleep. The host said they could do nothing about changing rooms without charging us an upgrade fee - not apologetically, but at least not rudely. Rooms on a higher floor would probably be OK.

I loved that Winter the Dolphin’s Beach Club prioritizes conservation and environmentalism over making money. Clean, friendly staff, about a 10 minute walk from the “boardwalk” area. Comfy beds, smoking area was a bit far but that’s really my bad for being a smoker anyway LOL. Didn’t order a balcony room but was given one anyway, that was nice. Overall a great experience for a good price
