The young woman that helped me with an early checkin was so kind and helpful. The neighborhood is a little loud for me, but I was there for work not vacation. The room was really clean, the pool deck was nice. Overall, it was a great place.

Check in process was smooth. Gaby at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. Our room was upgraded to a suite, which we appreciated very much. The hotel is very convenient to the Filmore and you really cannot beat the room quality for the price.

Front desk folks were not very helpful. Maintenance team was great. We didn't have any hot water and they fixed it quickly. We had a dirty sock left in the room from previous people. Roof top pool was very dirty. False information advertised about happy hour at their new Mas Cuba bar.

It’s in a good location. The front desk staff are very nice and professional. We brought our black light and for the most part it was very clean. You can hear the room next to you snoring. We bought our own drinks to avoid the mini bar but we were erroneously billed for mini bar items. So far we have sent 2 emails and one call but have not received a response. We are making one more call for help but if we cannot get a refund then we will have to write a review outside of Expedia.

My stay was affordable, convenient, and close to the beach. My room itself was not good with a dirty rug, a rusted towel rack, a shower that floods the bathroom, and a concrete ceiling. I don’t know if my room was the only one, but it seems like the rooms and property overall is outdated and desperately needs some care and upgrading.

They assigned us a room that was already occupied, so when we opened the door it was a big surprise. We had to go back downstairs and ask them for a different room, which took another 30 minutes. Nobody went to clean the room or even bring clean towels. No service at all, the check out was the only fast thing. Besides that the pool was dirty and the restaurant offered expensive and low quality food.

Property was great, staff exceptionally nice. Bar across the street is open to 5am and our window faced the bar. Maid service sporadic and parking was 60.00 nightly. Other than these things we enjoyed our stay!

Riviera is convenient and affordable place in Miami Beach. My past bad experience is that I left my AirPods in their room once and it was never recovered. During this check-in, I mentioned it to the staff member who claims that they have a lost and found now.
This experience was brief. I needed to stay for the night with my 7 year old since we missed our flight and it was the last one for the night. All I needed was tv but there was no signal. Luckily I was able to get up on time. We checked in after midnight and and left at 5am.
Areas of improvement: I believe there was a bartender that finished her shift that ignored my existence and interrupted my check-in to retrieve her ID. I found that to be extremely rude.
Areas of concern: No one acknowledged my kid. South Florida is known for human trafficking, especially with children and I can see how easily children can slip into the cracks.
I was also charged a $25 resort fee that could’ve been waived due to my short stay. I wish I had time to take advantage of the beach towels and chairs. But I was only there to rest for 4 hours.
Overall, it’s a great place to stay to be close to the beach and the restaurant next door has great Cuban food.

My twin sister and I had a wonderful time, staff was great, location was great (close to the beach and walking distance to everything) had one problem with the homeless people but it was all good besides that I’m definitely booking again when I come back to visit

Good location close to the beach. They made an effort to get us checked-in very early. Quiet room, modern decor. They don’t store your luggage, which is inconvenient if you arrive early or if your flight leaves late in the evening. No parking

Very spacious suite room with functional kitchen with basic utensils. The staff also were quite friendly and helped get our rooms early. They also arranged for sightseeing which is great for families. However the conditions in the suite were pretty bad and mostly have to do with poor construction. The floors were buckling, stove knobs were broken, and several other issues. Also they did not clean the room and had no real explanation of how that could be missed. They did not clean the room my friends family were staying either. One of the pools was dirty but i can see how difficult it could be to constantly clean leaves so i wont find much fault on this.
Further more the layout of the bathroom in one of the suites was completely impractical in many ways.
Even with these negatives we did have a pleasant stay overall. Transportation was so close and also beach is walkable. But the location isnt all that perfect as we have to take the trolley to get to the main beach area.

Best place to stay in South Beach!
The room was great and a bit sexy! Loved the property in general. Mark the GM and his staff is awesome and accommodating. Can’t wait to stay here again! It’s the best place in South Beach!

The stay was wonderful loved the look of the place. When I got there I was upgraded to a suit thanks to a VIP treatment they have with Expedia. I had to boom an extra night. Very beautiful for the price.

loved everything about the hotel but when checked in the mess having to deal with was upsetting i understand it can be stressful and busy but having to switch and move around rooms for not our nor employees fault but the “system on the computer” is what i wish we didn’t have to go through with overall everyone and everything was perfect

Riviera Hotel Suites is a great property to stay at. We came from Canada and we had a really great time. The hotel was clean and they even upgraded us to a suite when we got there. We are two female 25yr olds and felt very safe walking around during the day & night. There is a bar across the street so that was fun as well! Pool area is gorgeous. Only checked out the ground level pool so I can’t comment on the rooftop but I’m sure it was lovely! I would stay here again!

Hotel is not so great. While looking for hotels, specifically looked with filter “Parking Included” and ended up paying parking per night which is very costly. Had a terrible feeling about it. Wouldn’t recommend it as a cost sensitive option.

While the staff is friendly, I can't help but to think that they put me in the worst room. Toilet stopped up and didn't flush, the clothing rack in closet fell down. Then tv was not working for hours because you can't cut it off. The thermostat does not allow setting changes. It's just an inconvenience to keep running up and down to ask for them to fix basic needs. And they have no parking and don't do refunds. Stay away rooms are small. Just not worth the trouble

The staff were all lovely and helpful. The room was lovely and spacious. They have a hair dryer and an iron in the rooms. No kettle or coffee making ability. There is a restaurant in the corner, Sweet Liberty. It was nice. Food was good. There is a deli/convenience store across from the restaurant. Walkable to Lincoln Road ‘mall’. Lots of shops, restaurants and street entertainment. And the hotel is less than two blocks (5min walk) to the beach.

If you are going to stay at Miami Beach and only looking a place to SLEEP this is the place you need. If not then I recommend looking for another place. To start the reception is across the street in another building. Once they give the room key and a passcode to enter the other building then you are able to walk through the disgusting and stinking hall. There is a small elevator for three people max and the AC in the hall does not work all the time. You have to be very careful with the keys because the can demagnetize and leave you outside of your room until you get in contact with the personal or if not then you will have to walk to the lobby for them to fix it. The rooms inside are really old. The shower with no pressure and it takes about 10 min to get hot. The only good thing was Erika. She is the one that made my bed and changed the towels. another good thing is that more or less 5 blocks away is Lincoln rd. You can not go to Miami without going to Lincoln rd. I will never say in this hotel again. Trust me what you see in pictures is not what you see in reality.

Great hotel! We were both really surprised on the size of the room! The room had a living room, kitchenette with stove, and the room was in a separate room! Amazing!! Only downside was that there was a lack of hot water.

This hotel has the thermostats locked, so that you can't control the temperature in your room. I asked at the front desk for them to unlock it, and they said they could not.

For some reason all the new hire front staff very unfriendly.. any questions their common answer is no or I don’t know ei: what the closest bank, bus to get around.. room towels.. etc etc never mind no one ever mention pool out of service! We are airline employees.. we refer people around for hotels in Mia.. this will be a hotel will not refer anyone

Beware of erroneous charges. I only stay at this hotel b/c they have spacious suites, and the location is convenient. Before checking out, make sure you go to the front desk and get a print out of charges before leaving, which we should have done. They added minibar charges to my credit card for items we DID NOT use. When I reached out to the manager to fix their error, I got no reply. It's a small charge so I'm not going to stress it, but it's dishonest to charge people for items they did not use.

The staff at the front desk was very welcoming with every encounter. Good food and great entertainment by a live performer during and after Happy Hour. Can't beat that. The location was also great, just a few steps to the beach. Surrounding by restaurants, shopping and more. Worth the price. My friends I will definitely stay here again.

The only thing I didn’t like about the hotel was the parking issue. The resort doesn’t have parking we have to pay $40 dollars per day for a public parking. Everything else was perfect.

The lighting in the room needs to be improved. We had to request a lamp because the lighting was very dim. The pool only stayed open until 8 p.m. due to the neighbors in the area. Also, there were no phones in the room, so we had to use our cell phones to communicate with the front desk. They do not provide luggage storage. We had to keep requesting fresh towels. We were there for 5 days, and almost every day we had to request towels. Great location. This hotel was once a MOTEL. We did not like the Motel vibe. NO room service. It was not worth the rate we paid for a suite.

Fix room 3308 before letting it again
Riviera Suites needs some work. We booked a double with balcony and got a corner room with a wrap around balcony. It was great for people watching after a day at the beach or sight seeing. Overall our stay was just ok.

Rooftop pool loungers need to be replaced! The cushions were very worn and some were stained 😕
Room 3308 needs work! Both beds and writing desk wobbled (we thought it would break if we put anything heavy on it). Sink had a slow drain, toilet handled needed to be held down to flush properly, the shower pipe cap was falling off leaving the wall exposed, the minibar/ fridge was not very well organized and left little room for anything else

Average hotel in good location. If you are only using the room to sleep and get ready, it’s a great deal. Don’t expect too much as everything is pretty outdated and it was pretty humid inside our room.

Beautiful hotel with great amenities. Staff is very friendly and gave me a courtesy room upgrade for my bday. Close to bars and restaurants. Rooms are very spacious and even have a mini bar with beverages and snacks. The best part is that it’s affordable. Perfect for a birthday getaway/staycation.

The hotel is nice and the room is cool. I dont like that my room didnt have a microwave, i didnt like how the fridge was packed with things from the hotel and it was no space to put my things, i didnt like how the hotel didnt have parking and i had to pay $120 for a parking garage. When it was almost time for check out i dont like how they just bust in your room it was very unprofessional and uncomfortable.

Stayed here for a girls weekend. The rooms are clean and the staff are very nice but the property is veryyy dated. The should renovate asap they’d be almost perfect. The rooms are a little bit small and the lighting is terrible. They put tooo many snacks in the fridge you can’t even use it. Bathroom is fine just old and rusty looking kinda but clean. Sink is outside of room which isn’t a deal breaker but the area was in the corner and again wayyyy too dark for me. They need wayyy more electrical outlets so bring an extension cord. The beds are veryyy comfortable. They offer a happy hr which is really nice, but the entertainment they have during the day is way too loud for the little area. We didn’t get a chance to use or view the pool, and the 1 ice machine is inside the restaurant. I wouldn’t stay here again but if you are on a budget it’s ok because I had a ok stay.

So my family and I stayed at the Suite building and it felt like we were at home. Beautiful decor, shower pressure was amazing, service was nice. Pool area is a great vibe! Highly recommend. And it’s not expensive! Will def come back and stay again

THEY CHARGE PER HOUR FOR LATE CHECKOUT, BASIC TV CHANNELS BEYOND SUBPAR MAYBE 2 WATCHABLE CHANNELS WHEN THE WEATHER DIDN’T KNOCK OUT RECEPTION (TYPICAL OF DIRECT TV) CLEANING STAFF ONLY BROUGHT TOWELS IF REQUESTED BUT, TAKES ALL THE OTHER TOWELS. ENTIRE PROPERTY INCLUDING POOL AREAS DEFINITELY REQUIRE RENOVATIONS. CAFE/RESTAURANT ON PREMISES FOOD WAS AWEFUL OVERPRICED AND BEYOND BASIC. YOU CAN HEAR THE CAFE MUSIC BLASTING THROUGH THE THIN WALLS DURING THEIR HOURS OF OPERATION. THE ONLY THING GOING FOR THIS PLACE IS LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. NEEDS A SERIOUS OVERHAUL.

The staff is absolutely amazing. Super polite and made every effort to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The room was very spacious, but lacked things like soap/body wash, hair dryer, etc. the beach is two blocks away, a deli across the street, CVS one block away.
My only compliant would be the restaurant/bar staff was rude and the food was just ok. Other than that, I would highly recommend and stay here again and again
