The place was overrun with unruly children who couldn’t eat the hotel for and occupied the entire lobby with messy takeout. The rooms were so dirty that you couldn’t walk barefoot on the floor. Their systems were all messed up and didn’t allow us to charge things to our room and then held our car hostage.
The staff on the beach were lovely though. The only bright spot of this place.

Not worth the money
I stayed in the king bay suite over MLK weekend. I was sorely disappointed. The water in the tub did not go down. At all. There were hairs (that weren't mine) on the bed. The couch in the room was so dirty I had to put a towel down before I could sit on it. There were only 30 channels on the tv, just basic channels and some sports channels. There was nothing to watch and there was no option to even purchase a movie. The wifi was poor and unreliable. One of the elevators is perpetually broken (I stayed here for one night last year and it was broken then too) so you can wait 10 minutes for an elevator. The staff is not particularly friendly or helpful. No one even asked how my stay was when I checked out. And when I mentioned the water in the tub didn't go down, there was no apology. I will not be back.

I booked this place by ACCIDENT and when I called them to let them know it was accident they said they marked it as a no show because I didn’t show up lol… obviously I didn’t show up because I didn’t mean to BOOK THIS PLACE! They are so money hungry they charged me the full fee even though I explained I didn’t mean to book it and that’s why. I didn’t SHOW UP! Pathetic.

We struggled to find someone who speaks English. Additionally, they promised to place something that says "Happy Birthday" in my room, but they didn't. They assured us it would be set up upon our arrival, but it never happened. The bathroom faucets are falling apart, and the balcony was very dirty.

Worst stay experience in all my life. DO NOT stay at this hotel. There is zero customer service. I am troubled that it is listed as a four star hotel because I have had much better stays at a simple Days Inn than I did here. The short of the long is that we only lasted two days out of the six we were supposed to stay. The air conditioning did not work in our room, the TVs had no signal, the faucet in the shower was falling out of the wall and the pressure from the shower was minimal. The air conditioning leaked from the ceiling to the floor and someone keyed in on our room and scared the heck out of my daughter. The front desk was very dismissive and wouldn’t even let me finish my sentence when I was discussing the issues that needed to be taken care of. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!! Our room FLOODED in the middle of the day and we only realized when we came upstairs to put our baby to nap. The hotel manager was not only unhelpful, but also unbelievably rude. They moved us to the "penthouse suite" which was 5 doors down from the ocean front room we already had and had a worse view and one extra bedroom and claimed this was a huge concession on their part. The manager refused to do anything more than refund us the resort fee, which was approx $250 and did not even cover one night... our clothes and shoes were ruined, my daughter slipped and fell while walking into the room, and all the manager could muster was that this happens and he cannot control things like this. No effort to make things right and he refused to even give me a phone number for someone else in charge. Then, the water in the entire hotel stopped working and we and all other guests were left without water to shower, flush toilets, etc for over 12 hours. The manager was nowhere to be found in the evening and the next day he lied to our face that he was at the front desk and again refused to do anything other than offer a parking voucher. The hotel manager should frankly be fired today. I can’t comprehend how a hotel could employ such an idiotic and most importantly rude employee.
I REPEAT, DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU EXPECT TO BE TREATED WITH ANY SORT OF RESPECT.

Well Below Expectations
Have stayed here in the past and am very disappointed to see and report that a former hidden gem has unfortunately lost much of its luster. Room conditions are deteriorating and maintenance/housekeeping staff is overwhelmed to the point where bathrooms are left unclean and dusty. Broken and outdated appliances, insufficient towels/robes, broken balcony doors and floorboards, long/overcrowded reception lines, terribly slow elevators, inadequate bellman/valet services, messy/poorly labeled minibars, and other baseline expectations of a luxury hotel experience are neglected and remained unfixed even when notified to reception/concierge. Furthermore, i feel compelled to add that when these issues were notified to reception, I was briskly dismissed and assured that issues would be addressed which unfortunately were not. I understand that hotels are stressed when operating at full capacity during the holidays, but prices are elevated considerably during these periods to ensure that the standard of service can be managed. Very disappointing to see that the grand beach has declined and can no longer be considered a standout amongst its peers on the beach. I hope they can turn it back around.

This property is located at a very convenient and prime location. We booked a two bed rooms suite with ocean view for the family. The ocean view was absolutely stunning, but the furnitures are so old and feels cheap. For the price we were paying, I think the hotel should upgrade the suite with better amenities.

Room wasn’t clean, floors filthy, no hand towels, bath mats or facecloths in the room, bath towels had stains with rips in them and had been over bleached, not one dept answers phone including housekeeping or room service. When asking for these basic amenities from front desk, treated as if a needy guest. Worst hotel experience

Excellent stay at the Grand Beach.
Very well located in an tranquil stretch of Miami beach but still easily accessible to major attractions. Large , comfortable rooms and very friendly service. A special shoutout to Yuri at the reception desk. For sure I will return on my next trip to Miami.

Try the hammocks!
I was very comfortable during my stay. I had a room with partial bay view. It was spacious, quiet, and clean, with a sitting room area and two bathrooms. The room was already equipped with robes, slippers, and other amenities so I didn't have to request them. The staff were super friendly and hospitable. Enrique in the restaurant was the best! I took a nap in one of their hammocks beneath tall palm trees, wonderful! And the beach was lovely, too! They took good care of me. :-) I will have to try the tranquility pool next time I visit...

Everyone at the concierge desk, the restaurant, and the snack bar amazing. Some of the front desk staff could use some work. Also, the cleaning crew for the rooms when you tried to ask them something they said they didn’t speak English. If you are working in a hotel you should be able to understand some English to a certain degree not tell me I need to go tell the front desk what I need.

Great location, friendly staff, fabulous ocean view, clean rooms. but hotel cutting cost on maintenance. Bath faucet could use some maintenance, ideally upgraded. Jacuzzi not working and has not been for a while apparently. yet hotel charges you $50/day for resort fee. Its a shame as its really a good hotel if the management spends a little bit on keeping it up

We booked the 20th floor ocean front suite. They didn’t tell us that the 19th floor right below us was under construction so our first two days were spent listening to hammering/banging (not peaceful) they’re only compromise was waiving 2-days worth of their obnoxious $58 resort fee. Their sit down restaurant was only open the last day we stayed and the pools were filled with over 20 children or obnoxious people bringing their own speakers to the “tranquility pool”. Staff could care less. We visit Miami often and will never visit again s their housekeeping were the best staff! Sad.

For a 4 star hotel, towels look like they have not been changed for 10 years. No hooks or places to hang towels in the bathroom or anything else. No complimentary water, 7 bucks for water no thank you. No electrical outlets near the mirror or sink. How does this make sense in this modern age. Minor things would have elevated the experience here.

Not sure I would stay again.
In Miami for business. Room was given away because we failed to call in to make them aware we were taking the redeye flight and wouldn't be in until early the next morning. So our two rooms were given away.
Not ideal but it worked. Not sure we would stay again in this hotel.

They hold your money way too long.
Checking in was a breeze, but then we went into our room. As soon as we go into the room, we smell pee. So my wife checked the bathrooms, and someone didn't flush the toilet. My wife takes care of that and the smell. But now my wife goes into full room inspector mode(on vacation)because that is what she used to do at her job until she moved up. Our phone didn't work, found a bit of hair under the sheets, the door next to us was open, which was creepy, we didn't have wash clothes, which we had to ask for everyday, and we didn't have the robes and slippers like it described in the amenities section. She ended up going downstairs and talking to the front desk manager(Mr. Lewis) A gentleman came and offered us a pool upgrade across the hall. The ONLY reason we kept the room is because I loved the scenery from the street and the bay. Right before check out, my wife went downstairs and talked to the front desk they gave us late check out and 2 nights of the resort fee back, which is satisfactory. But NOW they are holding my $300 and the money they are supposed to refund us now its been pending since the 18th! I travel a lot and use the same card, and I've never had a resort to hold my money this long. My wife is a manager at a major historical hotel where we are from, and they dont even hold money for this long. The entire experience just from our 1st night and how long they hold their guest's money put a horrible taste in our mouths. The only reason we stayed is because my dad

STUNNING HOTEL! I love al the Grand Beach Hotels!
Planned a Girlfriends Weekend Getaway. The hotel was absolutely beautiful. We truly enjoyed our stay the food was delicious, beautiful beaches and the poolside was a picture out of 50's movie, with the pink decor. The girls loved it, and we will be returning early next year! Definitely would recommend.

Liked that it had a beach access. But was not given a towel for the beach chairs. Just asked to sit where available. The bathroom is clogged thank god it had two bathrooms in the room or else. Plus not enough towels given the floors must stay wet after showering plus no one dries their hands either no hand towel.

Our stay was nice. The room and view is definitely what it’s pictured to be. Our first 2 days we did not request house keeping, by the 3rd day when we removed the privacy tag, house keeping only came in to bring towels, made the bed with dirty sheets (didn’t change the linen), took our outside snacks from the night stand we paid , and let’s not forget only 5 channels worked on the TV. Overall strong 7 outta 10.

We enjoyed our stay, the hotel itself is stunning. Unfortunately there was a couple of times where staff would just walk into our room without knocking. One of the times I had just gotten out of the shower. This lack of privacy made us uncomfortable during our stay.
I will say the lady who attended us at the front desk was very kind and helpful. We requested late check out due to our delayed flight and she was able to assist us. The cost of late check out was very pricey for an extra 3 hours. The cost for late checkout was $189.

Worst experience of my life. First the bathrooms were broken. They kept sending someone everyday and only offered us to change rooms on last day! I lost 1 designer sandal 1 designer bag when I called they didn’t care like it’s nothing!

On our third night, the fire alarm went off. A loudspeaker told of us to take the stairs down to the lobby. Once we walked down 14 flights of stairs, the front desk people did not even know the alarm had gone off. They told us that all was fine and that we should return to our rooms. No apologies for our inconvenience. In addition, the wait staff at the only restaurant on site was extremely slow. When we asked for extra sugar they acted like we were bothering them. The shower curtain smelled moldy. But the rest of our room was amazing and the view was fantastic.

Cant wait to stay again
One of the best luxurious hotel stays without breaking the bank. The rooms were clean, comfortable, airy and light. We had an amazing view of the ocean and bay. Check in was a breeze. Not sure if there was a self park option but valet made it a breeze to just drive up and check in. Easy access to the beach. Loved the gelato and coffee place in the lobby. Definitely a place i would come back to. It was close to south beach but far enough to be in a quiet area to relax without the bustle of nightlife

We enjoyed our stay and it was nice to have a place that was pet friendly. The room was wonderful, it was big and spacious. The views were outstanding. The staff when out of their way to help, even at pool and beach. Parking was pricey, I paid extra to have the convenience of being able to come and go as I pleased, I didn't have a choice though. I was disappointed that the air vent filter looked like it hadn't been changed in a while and that there was charged items missing the we got to the room. Luckily I was able to call the front desk to let them know right away so we weren't charged. Overall stay was wonderul and we would definitely recommend as a place to stay again.

Very comfortable and nice hotel overall!
The hotels common areas are beautiful and very well-maintained, when it came to the room the bed was amazing one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept on, but little minor things. For instance, the sink had a crack, some of the furniture had chips in it, the couch had several stains, the balcony door would not lock but overall very nice hotel very comfortable very courteous staff.
