It was obvious that the room wasn’t vacuumed or cleaned before we got there- crumbs and food on the floor, bugs in the kitchen and bathroom, dirty nightstand table. Must have killed a dozen cockroaches or more

The place is okay. But they can do better! The room had a very strong smell that was awful. One of the pillows had what seemed like makeup on it or dirt not sure what that was we had to buy new pillowcases for ourselves. Three nights after midnight there was noise outside from people talking and laughing and not minding about other people sleeping, which disturbed our sleep. The breakfast option is okay.

The room it self was exactly what i booked. It was quiet relaxing and i got exactly what they advertised. The only complaint and suggestion i would have would be to make the snakes and drinks more cheaper. We as customers have already booked and ar guests why over charge us. I paid 250 foe a soda rip off. Please change vendors or vendors make ur price unbeatable and o yea change the brand of snacks they suck

plugs and hair dryer do not work, the advertising mention breakfast and it is a sad coffee only, there is no elevator, you have to carry your suitcase up the steeps and it is very cold and rainy

I didn’t like there were empty rooms downstairs but they gave a 2nd floor room. Also there were kids in the area; they made a lot of noise. You could also hear people talking outside the room and it was extremely annoying. Not one time did they check the room for trash or towels. Lastly I left a couple of items in the room. When I remembered I called the hotel. It was less than 12 hours after I checked out. The guy I spoke to said I could come back to get the items. So I drove back over there and guess what? No items. I asked to check the room. But they already rented it to someone else. Guess the maid threw them in the trash. Nobody ever called me back. Just horrible service all around.

Sketchy people roaming around at night. People scouting out cars and following you to your room. Didn’t feel safe at all. Didn’t even stay the full week and booked for a different hotel.

Ok for a brief stay...
Good: check-in, room was very clean, comfortable beds with fresh linens. Poor: (1) stale smell on entering the room. (2) furnishings VERY minimal. No chair, you have to sit on the bed or one of 2 uncomfortable stool chairs. We scored a good rate, property was fine for my 1-night stay, however I would not want to "live" in this space.

Definitely no frills
Very basic hotel. Kitchen was not stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. there was a sign that said you could request from the front desk. Front desk staff were not very friendly- not a single hello or smile in the 5 days I was there. Grab and go breakfast was granola bars, oatmeal packets and coffee. Good enough hotel for this trip, but wouldn’t choose it for a relaxing vacation.

This is the place that people come to live if you’re just coming to visit not a good choice, ants and uncleanliness. The room smells like Indian food, and there is no pots pans or any tinsel that they should have. A waste of $112.

Not Great.
Toilet clogged a lot. The fridge had a huge slab of ice on the back wall that started thawing out and left a puddle on the floor, so I removed the rest. Staff is incredibly rude, they won't say more than a word or two and don't help with anything.

In an area we thought would be very safe but unfortunately the hotel parking lot had some unsavory elements.
Room smelled strongly of marijuana. There was a large puddle of water by the kitchen sink floor. Pull out couch was the bare minimum and had no sheets or pillows (we got a sheet set from the front desk). Empty shopping cart from nearby store was in the stairwell. During the night, two young men attempted and eventually gave up trying to use a slim jim to open a locked vehicle in the parking lot.
The one person we interacted with at the desk was very pleasant but we were happy we only needed to spend one night before continuing our move.

Compared to a stay a year ago this property has made improvements to the room and property. There is still some work to do; kitchen cabinets need a cleaning inside and out and some wear and tear of furniture needs attention. No one thing was a turn off, just in need of TLC.

First thing I noticed "the smell", maybe from the old worn-out carpet! The room has everything, full size fridge, microwave. The room looks dated, a bit dark for my liking. Right next to the Fair Oaks Mall, 5 minutes walk. There were ants in the room, not a big deal for us but might be a big deal for others. Breakfast is very basic, small counter at reception: small muffins, oatmeal, coffee, tea to go. Would we stay again, probably not!

The front desk staff was courteous, prompt, and very helpful. I fly into Fairfax once a quarter for work and I will book here every time, if there are suites available. I had one issue with my TV on the first day of a 4-day stay and maintenance resolve it within minutes.

So, Arrival was fine upon check in. We got to the room and it was...ok...nice size and amenties...however the tub was stained. The refrigerator was noisy..the clock was missing pieces off the side so you could see wires.Also management was KNOCKING on our door at 10:40 to rush our leaving and checking out. They were fully booked but never again... I tried to upload a picture but it won't allow me...

Great location and price - showing it’s age
Room was small and clean. It’s showing it’s age and the room had funky stale air odor when I first went in. I discovered several nails and long sharp screws in my parking area and was lucky I did not get a flat tire. The front desk I had to wait longer than expected to have someone help me on check in. One thing I can say is they have super hot water I burned my hand twice. Walls are very thing and I was awoken at 2am by someone coughing who sounded like they were literally next to my ear. Breakfast is very minimal, granola bars and oatmeal packs.

You get what you pay for...noisy neighbors constantly slamming the doors. Asked the staff on two different occasions to fix the broken sofabed in my room with no resolution. Nefarious individuals hanging out in the parking lot. All kitchen items had to be requested at the front desk. Not a horrible experience but like I said you get what you pay for.

I received a CONFIRMED reservation at 3:40 PM the day of stay. When I arrived I was turned AWAY! Why? "You must check in by 3:00PM"

When we arrived they told us our room had been booked. We booked 2 double beds because it was me and my mom staying in the room. They said they only had a king sized bed left and made us sleep in that room. I don’t see how you could just give away our room? The room smelled bad and the bed was insanely uncomfortable. Would never go here again and I recommend spending the extra $20 to go literally anywhere else.

The property is somewhat rundown. I was in four rooms over four nights because of air-conditioning system issues in each of the rooms. The location is perfect sandwiched between Fairoaks mall and the Fairfax County Government Center with immediate access onto Route 66. For a low cost hotel in that area it was adequate if all you need is a place to sleep. The staff there were very friendly and accommodating assisting me with room changes when there were air conditioner system failures.

I booked the hotel from Sunday to Friday. Hotel ppl dnt have plates spoons folks. On Wednesday some guy keep knocking my door after every couple of minutes and zooming out my room the hotel guy was on phone and other guest when I called him later he came saw and said there is no one if anyone come again call us. He said I can be more aware and anything happens not open door and call them I had to leave the room At 10 at night. Un safe for standing no utensils

I got this room for my dad who was in town for Father's Day. I had higher expectations for sure considering the brand and what I paid. The area is good but once at the hotel it felt seedy and I felt uneasy leaving him there. The room looked like an old motel room. The carpet was very visibly dirty and the shower was so gross that my dad wouldn't even shower in it, and he's a simple man. I am genuinely shocked at this hotel.

My family stayed in Room 208 and it was funky with a dank odor. We had to buy air fresheners to cut down on the funkiness. The room was clean and the AC was excellent. Just the odor was the 5 roommate.

There barely was parking the manager john was really rude and didn't care about my stove stop working
And they wasn't able to come and fix the stove into the day of my checkout day

The location just off I66 is great with shopping just up the road. The lot is well lit at night with plenty of parking. The room has enough space with a double bed and the bath is roomy.
BUT...customer service is lacking. Receptionist is often missing at night, toilet barely flushed and areas under bed and chair were not vacuumed. The floor had a sticky residue that we were told to clean ourselves with a damp towel. Mats and walkway outside rooms is littered with dirt and leaf material.

The room was very dated and in need of a remodel. Some of the people staying there seemed sketchy, like the property is used for "transient" placement. Not what I expected for the location. Only real plus was the bed and pillows were actually comfortable.

This place changed my perspective about Extended Stay America. I usually consider ESA a good to very good place to stay. However, this place has nothing about that. The rooms are completely empty of anything! No coffee machine, no kitchen supplies nothing! When I asked them , they said we only provided that per request.. Well they never mentioned that during check in, so If I didn't ask they will never bring anything. Another issue was the breakfast. Its literally just two types of coffee mugs and granola bars!!!! I was shocked and told the lady that this is worst than the cheapest motels. She didn't even care.
Unfortunately, I'll never trust ESA places again.
