The staff were friendly and kind. And although the hotel was older it was comfortable, clean and convenient. There were multiple days that housekeeping didn’t come to our room and it wasn’t until we inquired that we found out they were short staffed. They were generous with giving us towels and coffee refills upon request but keeping the room pleasant without our own cleaning supplies was difficult and unplanned for.

The check in time is 3 PM whereas the checkout time is 12PM.
The property was clean and we had booked a room with a ocean view on the 9th floor.
The reason why we have given a 4 is that there was no drinking water in the room. Otherwise, everything was great.
They have lavender packets down at the reception, it’s great to grab the packets of flowers which have a nice fragrance and keep them
Under your pillow for a good nights sleep.

We had a great 4 nights here but house keeping only came 1 day and we didn’t get trashcans changed, bath towels replaced, and no more toilet paper. We told the front desk but nothing was to our room. But we liked how walkable the location is to near by stores and beach.

Hotel Renew is in a great location. Go to Lulu’s around the corner for great food and drinks. Check out Queen Kapiolani hotel for coffee, the Deck and the their gallery, to learn the tragic history of Hawaii. The staff at Hotel Renew is exceptional! The only item of concern was the amenity fee of $30. There is no pool, no gym, no bar, no restaurant.

I was preparing a wedding Anniversary celebration for my husband on New Years Day, and the staff was very helpful and supportive. In particular Mr Lance at reception thoughtfully offered to solve some problems related to the room at the last minute. He made the difference, making it not just good but truly memorable. My husband and I were
delighted. It was a beautiful and very happy experience, in a gorgeous location, with perfect weather. A charming boutique hotel by the sea, in festive Waikiki.

The staff was amazing! Friendly, helpful, and always available. Only valet parking at $50/day, but the car was available within minutes. Hotel is at the south end of Waikiki, so you are next to the zoo and Kapiolani park, a block away from the beach, with tons of restaurant and shoppong nearby. Chairs, snorkel gear, towels, floaties, etc, are free to patrons.

We booked a room with a view and are delighted with our room. Good size, good view, the hotel is modern and provides good facilities for the beach as well as nice coffee in the room . It is alsoo quite centrally located and is near the bus stops and the beach and the shops.

Hotel Renew is walking distance to shops, dining areas, and the beach. Hotel Renew was perfect for my husband and I. There were only two things that we would recommend to check. First, when we walked in to use the restroom, we noticed that there were either vomit or Poop stains under the toilet. I cleaned it with Clorox wipes quickly. Also, water in the shower is extremely hot. We couldn’t change the temperature.

The staff was amazing and so accommodating! We were a little disappointed in the TVs- they were confusing to use and had limited options. The rooms are a good size, but if you’re not facing the ocean, you don’t really get a great view. It was a nice stay, and we would maybe stay there again!

This is a great little hotel that is only one block off of Waikiki Beach. The staff was nice and worked really hard to make sure everything was taken care of.
The hotel is generally in good condition but a few areas need some TLC, faucet was loose, the wood trim around AC was broken and bowed. Shower curtains had some rust and mold on them.
All in all, I would recommend this hotel for pricing, location and staff!

Great location with secure entry after 6p, small hotel so not it’s crowded like the resorts. Quick check in, excellent customer service. Bed was very comfortable and not worn down. Love that beach chairs and snorkel gear (pin addition to other items) are included in the reasonable resort fee. I’d definitely return!
My only suggestions to management would be to offer more comfortable desk chairs and be green by using multi-use hygiene products.

The area was very convenient! It was walking distance from the beach, restaurants and dining, and shopping. Transportation options for shuttle, trolley and tour buses are right outside, nearby the neighbouring hotels. Area does have some outside noises you can still hear through the windows at night but not too overwhelming and you're still able to get a good night's sleep. The hotel was spacious and comfortable for the 1-king bedroom suite we booked, good AC temp that was easily adjusted with the thermostat. The hotel door key cards were a bit finicky and we did get it reset once; but, outdoor key pad use was still hit or miss especially when they lock the front doors after 6 pm. The staff are there 24/7 so if they see you struggling, the staff can open the doors. The hotel staff were very friendly, approachable and accommodating; we appreciated all their assistance and flexibility with requests. They allowed luggage storage on checkout for our late flight back home which was really helpful and allowed us another full day of activities in the area! Mahalo Hotel Renew!

The hotel was overall great. Besides the parking being 50$ a day and then a clenaing fee being 25$ a day. If you can look past those prices then it’s a decent hotel. Water pressure is pretty low and hot water isn’t really there. It’s located in a great spot to walk everywhere so that is a nice touch. Getting the beach towels and chairs is great and super convenient as well, that was the best part I would say.

The hotel is close to a bike shop and the main street. People were arguing screaming and talking loud at night around 11pm. I think the interior of this hotel is cute but it doesn't have a good soundproof facility. We were having a hard time sleeping on the first night. The staffs are super nice though. They listened our complain well and tried to help.

I'd never been to O'ahu before, went off the ratings. Admittedly, the hotel is located at the beach, lots of night life, events, shopping and other interests to enjoy. However, i was sorely disappointed with the hotel, itself. The staff, is wonderful...very nice, helpful and diligent. The key cards were a hit and miss. We weren't the only guests experiencing this issue. I think it was the key card maker.. the front door does lock automatically, at a certain time, which is comforting. The elevators were experiencing issues, off and on. My friend found out, purely by accident, the stairwell exit door doesn't open to the outside, as it should..fire escape route.
I was required to pay a daily resort fee. They have nothing to offer, except free coffee. Housekeeping was usually upon req, which I don't mind.
They have no spa, no restaurants, no gym, no bar. I basically paid them a resort fee, to use the neighboring hotels amenities.
I'm heartbroken over the homeless population. Many a night we shared cigs, food and/or conversation with a few who hung out in the hotel exterior area. The contrast between the population is drastically upsetting.
I most likely never visit a Hotel Renew again. At least not the one in O'ahu. I am grateful for the staff, in comparison to most of our other interactions with customer service employees, they were very kind and professional. Most we encountered on our daily excursions were rather rude.

We were there for a two-day medical procedure for me. This small boutique hotel was fine as we didn't need a pool. The only negative was they gave us a coffee pot but no coffee cups or beverage glasses. Other than that it was great and close to restaurants and the beach.

Getting your room cleaned during this stay was only upon request as they were low staffed, getting towels took 2 calls and a 30 min wait. The property is near everything and does the job as far as a place to stay during your stay. Nothing fancy, nothing extra, even the wine that says is included wasn’t an option. Overall I would rate my experience as a 3/5, definitely not the worst but room for improvement.

I gave it an Overall review for 2 things.
Bathroom has a etched glass that when one turns the light on.. ot goes through the glass. I'm a lite sleeper so when one of us got up in the middle of the night it woke me up. Also wished it has shelves in the bathroom as well.
Other than that! Staff was great! Very courteous!

If I could give the renew 1 million stars I would. We checked into the renew on our first day in Honolulu after a long flight and it was the absolute perfect place just pass out in a heavily bed filled with paradise pillows. The staff was so nice and accommodating. There’s free coffee and lemon iced water in the lobby. It’s all around a top class hotel and it checks all the boxes and then some. We stayed at the twin fin one night (HUGE mistake) and we hated it so much we booked the renew the next night just so we could have one more amazing night in Honolulu because of the renew. Book the renew and you will be taken care from check in to check out. I can’t stop singing their praises. When my wife and I checked back into the renew last night we did a dance on the elevator to an impromptu song we wrote about the renew. You will leave with a smile on your face. Very affordable too.

The amenities and hospitality was amazing! The staff were more than accommodating to my needs and were super helpful in answering any questions.
The location was such a plus. I could walk to so many shops/food, and I could catch the sunset on Waikiki Beach just by crossing the street.
The reason for four stars was just that there were definitely things in the room that were worn down and could use some love. (fraying carpets, chipping hardware)

Great location and overall comfortable room. Cute and modern decor and nice bed. Plus the hotel is less than 5 minutes from the beach and tons of restaurants and stores.
Cons were thin walls (you could hear the alarm of the person in the room next to you) and all of the noise from outside. The bathroom was outdated and had pretty bad amenities. Poor water pressure in the shower making it tough to get clean after the beach. Bad design of the bathroom sink that caused water to get everywhere.
Overall considering the price, location, and general comfort I’d stay again.

Great convenient location to Waikiki Beach, restaurants, and shopping. No continental breakfast, despite other reviews mentioning it. The beds are VERY small for two people to sleep in the same one. The concierge and valet staff were outstanding - very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the free towels, chairs and boogie board we used each day.

Hotel Renew is in a great location, walking distance to lots of shops & restaurants. The King Room is a generous size - we were lucky enough to get an upgrade to an Ocean View room which had a great view of the beach. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Mahalo!

Great location for this hotel, a short walk to the beach. Loved that the hotel provided beach towels, chairs, mats, boards for play at the beach, made it so convenient. The staff at this property was truly incredible. They are extremely helpful with everything from just getting you checked in to making sure they can make your stay as nice as possible. I never saw the recess's coffee bar open but we were also out and about all day everyday. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The location was amazing! Literally a block from the ocean!
