Good location and friendly staff
It is free to Take Logan airport express bus to back bay, then walk 6mins to Copley house. Front desk is very helpful, my flight was delay, could not make check in deadline 9pm, but my friend flight was on time, after I texted front desk, they let my friend check in although I booked the hotel. They help take my friends luggage to the room. Room is very clean and comfortable. Recommend this budget hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by the proximity of this hostel to Back Bay station; a mere 7-minute walk to the Copley house. The room offers thoughtful amenities for those who enjoy cooking simple meals, complete with cooking gear, plants, and towels. However, I must note that the bed in my room was less than satisfactory. The screws of the bed frame were loose, making the entire bed feel unstable and filled with trepidation. Additionally, it seemed like the room might not have been occupied recently, as there was a noticeable accumulation of dust on top of furniture. Despite these issues, the convenient location and provided amenities made for a decent stay.

so glad we chose to stay here for a 4 day stay in boston. such a great location and so nice to have a kitchen to make breakfast in. Staff was very nice and appreciated the ability to store our luggage for the afternoon at departure. definitely NOT handicap friendly with the stairs, etc. Kitchen had ample things to cook with--wish they had a cookie sheet for oven. Only criticism was the heating sysytem--no ability to change the thermostat and can't open windows. SUPER clean and quiet in our apt. WIll be back for sure!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, cozy, comfy and clean room, great neighborhood, good price. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was the low water pressure, but it wasn't a deal breaker. I much preferred Copley House to one of the big chain hotels nearby!

Stayed here with my group of high school students attending a convention around the corner. Couldn’t have been better! Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was always available to answer questions. The neighborhood was safe and had access to the T, food, shopping, and parks. If it had an elevator it would have been perfect, but we were more than satisfied as it was. Would certainly stay again! A better room than the chain hotels, with a full kitchen and a living room, for the same price. A no-brainer.

I’d give it a “perfect” except it was a bit chilly with no thermostat access. The stove did not work. There was a kettle. I wasn’t cooking anyway. Just wanted a spot of tea (which was provided along with coffee maker, coffee and tea.). I just popped it in the microwave! Great location. Very homey feeling. Will book again.

Crazy Adventure!
The apartment was nice, however it was very difficult to find the main office to check in. Parking was a night mare to start. You needed to find an alley to park near your room. If you do go here, check in when it is light out. If you are over 50 and have any difficulty with stairs forget it. I had to lug 2, 50 lb bags up a very narrow and steep staircase. Took my life into my own hands. The person at the desk was very nice and she sensed my frustration with the entire check in process. There is also no where to dine close by and if you are alone, you do not feel comfortable at night walking the neighborhoods of Bean town. All in all, I would never had booked the Copley House for my conference had I known the many difficulties that occurred, but lessons learned.

On the positive side, Copley House is well located near mass transit. But the room itself was a glorified dorm room, not what I would expect at this price point. The door lock was flimsy. The furnishing were clean, but purely utilitarian. Bring your own toiletries. I wasn’t comfortable using unsecured bottles of soap. The room I stayed in was very drafty. I had to cover my head at night. I was traveling for work, so was hoping for a little bit of luxury in the room. Definitely disappointed. There is a kitchen, which was nice. But I wasn’t comfortable using the dishes without washing everything first and who has time for that.

I had the privilege of experiencing two types of rooms during my stay: my first night in a spacious room, followed by three nights in a smaller single room. To my delight, both rooms were truly wonderful! Surprisingly, the much smaller room was impeccably designed, and it didn't feel cramped at all. I particularly appreciated the well-maintained bathroom with its modern fixtures, and the presence of a full-length mirror in the smaller room was a real highlight for me, being a female traveler. However, I'd like to offer a couple of suggestions for further improvement:
1. It would be immensely valuable to female travelers like myself if you could install a full-length mirror in the larger room as well. This feature is exceptionally important.
2. Since there are no elevators on the premises, I kindly request that you instruct your front desk staff to offer assistance with carrying luggage, especially when the room is located downstairs. On my check-in date of September 30th, I struggled to manage my heavy luggage on my own and even came close to a fall. Assisting guests with luggage during check-in can make a world of difference, especially when descending stairs, which can be more challenging than going up. Unfortunately, I didn't receive any assistance on that occasion.

The property was awesome! However, the AC didn't work and we called twice to have it fixed. It never worked while we were there for 3 nights. The shower is also weird, the nozzle was so high that you almost have to lean on the glass to be under it.

We loved staying at Copley House, we felt at home. The room was lovely, clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen was completely equipped, so we had breakfast before heading out. Super close to everything! We will be back every time we visit Boston in the future.

I was a little hesitant to book Copley House. However, once I got there the check-in process was quick and easy. The location of my room was definitely walkable. I would note that the weather was nice (no rain or snow) so I didn't have to contend with that. The room was quaint and very nice. It was well appointed and clean. Bed was big and comfortalbe. Linens were very nice.
The only cons were the internet connection was slow to it was a challenge to do video calls from the room. Also, the staff was professional, but not very outgoing or 'smiley'. They were a little curt when responding to questions. (One exception was the extremely nice woman who helped hold the door at 19 Garrison as I checked out with a huge suitcase. She was so nice and the gesture was very appreciated). I would not hesitate to stay at Copley House again.

Since were a bit shocked at how pricey hotels are in Boston these days, we're glad we chose Copley House. The room/kitchenette/bathroom and location was perfect for us (family of three) and the check in/out service was really easy and friendly. We totally recommend staying there.

Location was fantastic - a few blocks from Symphony Hall and an easy walk to lots of universities (which was our reason for being there). The downside was the size of the unit - it was tighter than expected for the three of us, and the shower head was installed at a strange angle (which made it hard to fully rinse off).

We stayed twice as split trip for our trip to US & Canada. On both stays the rooms were smaller than I expected as I had booked the largest for three people. The rooms need updating as sofa beds are worn, some of the sockets dont work & health & safety hazard. Over all was clean, enough essentials as we had small kitchen area, shower room etc. Best is for location as close to public transport & for walking. Reception staff were helpful & stored our luggage & moved it to another building so thank you.

Room was a bit dated but the bed was comfortable and the kitchen had everything I needed. I emailed in advance to ask for a room on a high floor as I'm quite sensitive to noise. Reading some of the reviews before I went on my trip, I was really nervous but pleasantly surprised to find the room to be perfectly comfortable and enough space. The location was fantastic as well.

The room was small - the website suggested a separate living/sleeping space. The reality was that this was a small room with a sleeper sofa squeezed in. Luckily we did not need to use the sleeper sofa because the room would have been impossible to move around in if we had. Location was perfect for visiting our son at Northeastern though

This is a good choice for people who are okay with giving up the services of a hotel. It’s in the more convenient part of the prettiest neighborhood in Boston, walking distance to Back Bay Station. With studios scattered across several buildings in the same area, not all rooms are going to be equally appealing. I had the bad luck to get an almost-basement, with half windows that didn’t open. I think most of the other rooms are much nicer. You have to be able to carry your bags up the stairs and I’m not sure how they handle people who need help in the middle of the night because the desk isn’t open 24 hours. It’s clean and felt a lot less iffy than some of the vacation rentals I saw at the same price point.

Felt homely and better than staying at a hotel. I liked the kitchenette and being able to open the sliding glass door during the evening and being able to walk out into the back area with all the plants. Very relaxing.

This hotel is very basic and no frills. The rooms are split between different properties, some a couple blocks from where you check in. Just make sure you are aware and ok with this before booking. Also there was no counter space in the bathroom. It is great if you are on a budget but not recommended for business travelers.

Made reservations at the Cokley house two month in advance for a large superior room queen bed , kitchen and couch. Several hours before arrival received a text saying that our room has been relocated to another building. When we arrived the room was downstairs in the darkly lit basement with barred windows looking up at the sidewalk. Totally unacceptable. Called the office they said, the only other room available was a budget economy room. They told me my other option was to find another hotel and go through the exercise of getting a refund from Hotels.com. At 9 o’clock at night the only option was to except. The room is on the third floor so incredibly small I could reach side to side at the walls. I asked the office for an adjustment in price. They said the price was the same. Travelers beware i

The room was adequate but is well-worn. There were broken tiles in the bathroom. We did not find the soap which was in the medicine cabinet unto Day 2. Closet door did not shut. Gloors are very sloped & rather dangerous in places. Lugging suitcases to the 4th floor is tricky! But, when we had to extend our stay, you made it easy & we appreciated that. Update the worn areas‼

This place basically has "no service" at all. I received a room at 1st floor, very noisy from upper, you can hear all the woods flooring cracking, people are moving. And ... it smell pee in my room, especially the mini kitchen counter smell just like the public restroom. The a/c sounds like a factory in Aisa. My best guess it's maybe someone/pet? pee on the floor. I pay over 300 USD/ night.No breakfast and the coffee machine is just ... no working at all. Anyway, for me, only the area/location pleases me. Or you may consider spend only 100 USD in a motel outside the city and come in with uber will be even better. I hope I got my refund for what I have suffered one night with my 300 USD.

We had an excellent stay at Copley house. Easy to book and contact prior to our stay with timely response. Check in was easy and staff was friendly and more than accommodating ensuring we had what we needed. They helped transport luggage to and from our unit and let us check it at the main office after checking out since our flight was in the evening. Our room was clean perfect size for what we needed. Great amenities for the kitchenette. Close walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay here again.

I really wanted to love it, but I don’t think it is worth what I paid. Our actual room was several blocks away from the main office - and we didn’t have a car. We were by a college, which was fine during the day, but they partied all night in the alley outside our window. (Ah to be young). I appreciated having cooking space, but the kitchen could use a few more items.

No daily room service, tables by the bed were damaged and mostly useless as they weren't level and drinks phone etc would slide off. Address given for unit we were staying was misspelled and made it a little difficult to find our room. Also was given wrong address when trying to retrieve our luggage. Room was clean, bed very comfortable, but expected much more for the daily rate we were paying. Will try another hotel next time in Boston. Overall disappointing.

This property was rated excellent on Travelocity. I would not consider this an excellent stay. It is convenient but very very old. When we arrived we could not find the thermostat. It was hot and stuffy. Upon calling the office to ask for thermostat location, the office informed us that they would turn on from office. We went out. Upon our return three hours later the AC had been turned off again. With so many comparably priced stays in the area, you do it want to stay here.

From the beginning, we weren't nicely greeted. The gentleman in the office who wears glasses wasn't friendly at all he was really rude. The listing states there is parking but doesn't mention it's NOT FREE. We were informed apon arrival that parking for the day is $35. You can pay the parking meter but after 6pm its considered resident parking only. If your parked at a meter past 6pm without a permit you will be towed. Don't you think this information should be disclosed for non residents?
The maintenance people were really nice and told us if we needed anything to let them know.
Overall of the place was a good experience. Pleanty of food and shopping options around. Most places were walking distance if not the subway/ train was walking distance. Fenway is only 25 minute walk which was great. I'd probably stay here again but would request a room on one of the lower levels and not the very top floor. There isn't an elevator and the steps are pretty steep to carry bigger luggage up and down.

Only problem: They originally had the wrong room key and wrong code for the lockbox. But when called, a person showed up within 15 minutes to fix the problem. That is the reason for the 4 stars..someone messed up in the beginning.
