A little too clean
Twice we were sent to rooms that had all of the furniture stacked up and carpeting was soaking wet because the carpets had been cleaned. Third time was the charm. Overall the hotel was clean, just annoying to be sent to rooms that weren't ready.

Lovely big room. Nothing fancy but very clean and adequate. Only complaint is that I like having my room made up everyday and they don’t there. We had to call the front desk to get dry/clean towels. And someone came up immediately with a huge stack of fresh ones!

Never towels for the pool. When I asked the front desk they stated ‘Oh and walked away’. I thought are you brining me some?Room had left over sauce packets behind the fridge. Room service gave extra towels but did not remove all garbage. Cleaning could have been more through.
Breakfast attendant was very helpful and kind! My child struggles with the pancake maker and he helped (and stayed) until the machine made him the pan cakes properly.
Be aware if your skin is sensitive to chlorine, the pool has A LOT.

It worked for our visit to the area. Unfortunately, there was a hockey team staying there too so there were kids running up and down the hall ways. Shower had awesome pressure. Hotel is just a bit worn out as we had a spot missing in the carpet and the comforter was lumpy. We would stay again but it could use a little TLC.

We normally always use Holiday Inn's and I have stayed at this hotel in the past several times. In my last two stays, I have really seen a dropoff and hope they turn it around. Breakfast was not out at 7am on Sunday like they said (cold was but it was also almost all gone). The pool area was dirty along with the pool having particles floating in it. They just need to take some TLC to the property and it'd go a long ways!

check in was slow. took 20 minutes and the front desk employee was struggling. Also, he didn't seem well. The Cable box never turned on only flashed a red light and we weren't able to connect to the internet in the room. The hotel looked clean and well maintained. Breakfast was typical heat and eat buffet.

Breakfast was good every morning! My only complaint would be that I was not told that we would not have room service for 4 days unless requested. We found the slip of paper in the card holder when we put the cards back in the holder for checkout. Everthing for boat ramps, restaurants, gas, and groceries are all within short driving distance!

This provided almost everything I expected from a Holiday Inn Express. One bonus: the morning breakfast was invariably well done; I looked forward to it. One disappointment: the immediate surrounding grounds were not well tended, e.g., much of the parking lot was a muddy, slushy mess.

This hotel was rated 8 from Hotels.com I would of rated it a 4 the rooms had a stink smell I had to open window and the hotel was old. Carpet was very dirty. but some of my friends stayed at the cobblestone in Devils lake, ND and they had bedbugs so I guess I'm lucky I didn't stay there.

Everything seemed great, until it was time for my 9yo son and I to go to sleep. Our room was located right above the pool apparently, and there was a very loud group. We didn't get to sleep until the pool closed. Loud noise, swearing, and just not a great experience. Not sure what the motel staff could have done, just a bad location for a room I guess.

Internet is horrible. I had so much work to do on my laptop and I was getting 5mbps of download speed on the Wi-Fi. Thank god I have hotspot or I wouldn’t of been able to do my work. Room smelled like smoke and tv didn’t work. Will never come back. Always in town for business.

Showed up with groceries and the fridge was turned off. Kitchen sink did not work. Outlet in bathroom did not work. Couch had food debris on it. Bed was as soft as quick sand. Washing machine in guest laundry was locked on quick wash. I will NEVER stay in a holiday inn again.

We picked the holiday inn cause of the free breakfast offered. We were told they had no cook at check in. I called a couple days prior to check in and confirmed check in and the free breakfast. Which was terrible cause we didn’t shop and didn’t have enough coolers for the food we had to then buy.

Nice hotel - beds very comfortable and service was good. Breakfast/pool/lobby area all fine. We used pull out couch for bed and there were no sheets, had to ask for some and still only got fitted sheet. Friends who did same thing pulled out there bed and sheets were real dirty. Other than that, good hotel for the price in Devil's Lake.

My only concern was the swimming pool. Sign indicated anyone under age 16 had to have an adult present. A worker had her children (3 of them) unsupervised while she worked elsewhere on the property. She would come back every so often and look thru the window and check on her children. Her children were under the age and unsupervised while we were swimming. Not appropriate and made us feel uneasy.

Great room for Devil's Lake
There is a meeting room on site that we were able to hold a small gathering. The staff are very friendly and very helpful with anything we needed. The breakfast is a full breakfast, however it wasn't very tasty in my opinion. The room itself was clean, however be prepared to snuggle if you are sharing a bed. They didn't have anymore king rooms when we checked in so we had a room with two queens, both beds had a huge dip in the middle. On the plus side they were very soft!

We happened in on a weekend that was very busy as the hotel was completely booked. The staff maintained the highest of standards from exceptional customer service to housekeeping. Items at the breakfast bar were always stocked, hot and ready; coffee never ran out, and dining area kept very clean. Housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping our room and providing towels as needed. and they were above and beyond welcoming as was the lady at the front desk whom seemed to be working every time I passed by. Big Kuddos to her-ALWAYS maintained an extremely pleasant and professional attitude. I would love to stay here again!

Everything was good, except the toilet which was not seated properly and the toilet would actually rock when using it
