$14 for parking in the desert is ridiculous.
The hotel is fine but charging $14 extra to park in their lot is pathetic. This is not located in a city where property is at a premium it's in the desert!!

Convenient to Mayo hospital. But the property does not take into account that you’re staying there because a family member is in the hospital so they charge seasonal rates to everyone.

Poor customer service
At about 7pm, we returned to the room from dinner. I was excited to have a few beverages and watch the nfl game on television, while my wife went to sleep. She is a mayo patient and very tired in the evenings. I tried everything imaginable to get the TV on with no luck. I called the front desk. After 20+ rings, someone answered. I explained the situation to her. The response was to try and unplug it and turn back on, followed with - I don't know what you want me to do? I asked that she send someone up to look at it. She said no repair people were on site, but she could send a wait staff up. Not knowing what that meant, I said ok. 8:30p and still nobody showed. Called the desk again, 30 rings this time with no answer. Extremely disappointed that no effort was made to change rooms, switch TVs or anything. More of a, better luck next time reactivate approach.
Additionally, we were charged $14 for parking and that was never disclosed on this hotels.com app or during check in at hotel.

Nice hotel. Pet walking area available. Quiet area. Softer beds. Adequate space in rooms. Kitchenette is the perfect size for ahort stays. Decent breakfast. Close enough to the freeway and city amenities.

Emergency Trip
Had to find a pet friendly option close to a family membera hospital. Thia location showed up. I could not be happier with their service. Everyone has been friendly and understanding. Nice walking trail for people and pets. Good breakfast options with your stay.

I liked the proximity to mayo clinic. The ccomplimentary breakfast lacked potatoes of some sort. The shuttle was an open air golf cart and was cold in December, probably really hot in summer. Other than that it was nice

Very convenient to visit Mayo hospital, nice room, great breakfast, my only complaint is paying $12 a day for parking. There is nothing there but the hotel and the hospital so paying for parking was unexpected. It's not a garage or anything, just open air standard parking lot.

Reported to staff room had dried vomit on wall and head board. I also have pictures. Dried mucous on wall too. They did not clean had to ask second time. First staff member instructed to notify manager. Manager unavailable. After 3rd call staff came up to clean and scrap off wall. Beware. Of course no discount or refund due to this and hotel. Staff was very friendly on checking in. Breakfast was very underwhelming considering the cost of the room. Very limited selection but tasted ok. Also the fact they want to charge you to park there when there is parking all around. We were there due to a visit to Mayo and could park 50 feet from hotel. Just wanting to nickel and dime you after paying $300 + a night.

Quiet and clean

The staff are great especially Rose from the kitchen. They are very attentive to your needs. This hotel has thought of this meticulously to serve the guests especially those who really need kindness in times of health hardship.

Nice but parking fees when there is a big lot...
The pull out bed in the room needs new matteress was very loud when turning over. Yiu have to pay $14.00 a night for parking on top of room rate. Taxes are 12.25%

Am patient at Mayo Clinic which makes staying at Marriott very convenient but hotel feels needs interior updating and breakfast food and coffee are substandard for area. Would not mind paying a bit more if Marriott would think about upgrading!

Everything was great. My only complaint was the smell in the lobby. The scent was too strong for me. Thankfully the room didn’t smell the same. I probably couldn’t stay if the room smelled like the lobby.

Melinda is the manager of the property and was okay with the way our room looked. There was hair every where, no vacuuming for the WEEK we stayed there. We complained every day with nothing done! If you want dirty this is your place if you want clean STTAY SOMEWHERE ELSE

Best choice if you are going to Mayo Clinic. They have a shuttle to the 3 Mayo building which made the whole process so much easier. Nice gym and pool. Great breakfast.

The room was dirty. Hair on bathroom floor. Nuts & medicine pills on floor next to bed. Carpet very dirty so your feet or socks turn brown if you walk without shoes.

Good and comfortable but car parking charges
V good stay and great pool area, breakfast good and staff service levels good. Was surprised that a car parking fee was levied and was unavoidable as the only parking within the very large hospital complex was owned by the complex. Felt like a back door charge as it didn’t appear to be stated in the hotel booking process.

Showed up at 130 which i understand is early for 3 o'clock check in Pam said she'd call my cell when ready still no call @ 305 so they rushed a room clean so we could get in. Miss the pre covid days when it was normal to get checked in way early. Everything else with facility is good just feel Marriott really caters to its Bonvoy club members

Pet friendly has a price, $150 per stay (not in room notes) and another $20/night - both plus tax. And you get a room with a view of the HVAC. Bring food, a Hershey's chocolate bar w/almonds (regular size) - almost $5 w/tax. There's nothing around it except the hospital.
Good things: Nature walk around the property, close to Desert Ridge mall (but stay at the JW).

Hotel was clean, comfortable.
The only negative thing is that at check out, they charged us $14.00 for parking. We had not expected that and we have NEVER paid for parking. They told us it was because we booked through Expedia and parking was not included! We checked in at 11 pm and we were out by 8 am, but we were still charged to park in their lot for 9 hours!

I liked the extra space in the patio around the pool, including a fire pit and comfortable seating. The pool had some cabanah or cover options over the pool furniture, which is great. I didn't like not being informed of the $15/night parking fee, which was never communicated properly to me. Otherwise, very nice stay and hotel all around.

After check in was not a good experience with our room. We had a studio with kitchenette there were no cups in the room for coffee, no shampoo or conditioner, refrigerator was dirty, garbage was under the sink not emptied from previous guest and dishes were in the dishwasher from previous guest. We felt like maybe the beds were not cleaned and just made up.

Visited area for business & it was a good thing that we had to wake up early all 3 days of the stay because every morning the construction crew started working at 5:0-5:30am!! Very noisy & this was one of the “quiet” areas according to the front desk staff.

I highly recommend this hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left over a three day weekend, we were completely taken care of. Our first night there my daughter woke up with an allergic reaction to some shrimp she had eaten. She had hives all over her face her nose her lips her eyes and I called down to the front desk looking for Benadryl and Pepto and she was also nauseous. Not only did the front desk have both of those available in their little store but they were also willing to drive us to the mayo clinic for medical services. We could not have been in a better place or with better staff. We decided on the residence Inn after reviewing several hotels and comparing prices with amenities. I am so glad we did. We were in the Phoenix area for a family trip. Everything was extremely clean, cleaner than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. We had all of the amenities including a dishwasher,dishes,silverware, A refrigerator a dining room table and pull out couch I could go on and on. I cannot think the staff enough for making us feel at home. If you were traveling anywhere into the Phoenix area or surrounding Valley I highly recommend you stay here.

This property is contiguous to the Mayo Clinic, so housekeeping should be priority number 1. It was not. We arrived in our room and there was what appeared to be fecal matter on the underside of the toilet seat. Fortunately we had Chlorox wipes with us and wiped down the bathroom. Also, I never saw evidence that the room or hallways were vacuumed. In fact, when walking in the room with with white socks, the bottoms of the socks turned black. Food at the breakfast buffet was adequate, not great. Also the Marriott added a $10.00 parking charge with no mention to me. I'm not staying at ths property again.

Room 609 Should Be Put Out of Market!!
I booked this hotel since my wife was getting surgery done at the Mayo Clinic. Other than the location, there's not much to commend this place for. I was looking for a hotel that had a kitchen and a little space for my wife's recovery after surgery. They had a fridge, dishware, oven, dishwasher and microwave. They had a frying pan but no pot for soups. We had to wipe down the whole place. There was a haze on everything... the kitchen appliances, the tables, the TV, the headboards were gross!! I took some paper towels with hot water and wiped down the dirty tile floor. My wife washed all the dishes to be safe after having seen the room condition. Then we had to rush and get dinner since we checked in around that time. We came back to the room and got ready for bed, then we realized that it was so loud in the room. It was super loud like being next to a train station. At first, we thought it was the AC but it wasnt. The fridge was loud too but it wasn't that either. I could barely sleep the first night. I wanted to change rooms but after all the cleaning that I've done and the things to pack, I just said forget it. The room is worn out. My wife tried the breakfast once, and thought it was ok and the lady chef was friendly. The only plus is they have wheelchairs and bell carts. I've stayed in older hotels but were cleaner than this. I tried to take pics but it just doesn't capture the greasiness. The front desk agent who checked us in and the housekeeper were friendly.

Great spot if you need a procedure at the Mayo Clinic. Everything was good except the food in the fridge from the last guest and the hairs in the shower. And the workers knocking on the door while recovering but maybe it’s because they didn’t see the sign on the door. I’m guessing we got an offshoot of what normal is here because of the times 2022 is with labor shortages. Other than that we left a day early cause my wife wanted to get home and rest in her own bed and opted for the 2 hour drive.

This is the only hotel within easy reach of the world famous Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. Since they have a monopoly, they tend to take full advantage of it by providing the barest minimum amenities and charging the maximum they can for accommodations (I understand their room rates are revised up to three times daily depending on demand)

It was a very clean and comfortable stay. My only complaint was there were no wash towels, and no shampoo or conditioners, They also had only one bar of small soap. But the staff was amazing!!! They went out of there way to make our stay a pleasant one.

A great location for Mayo Clinic patients
We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last ten years…most of the time we would have given it a 10 out of 10…this time, the hotels age was showing…not as luxurious as in the past…rooms and accessories seemed a little tired…not as pristeenly clean and spit polished as in the past…breakfast was good but not great, front desk did their job but were more business like… you didn’t feel like they were as glad to see an old friend when greeting you or answering questions…some of the personnel who did treat us extra special in the past May have moved on to other locations as we did not see them during this stay…the one thing which is greatly appreciated is the location of the facility next to Mayo Clinic and the person who checked us in was kind enough to provide us a room a couple of hours before the normal check in time…a great gift when you are sick and not at your best.

Our room wasn’t cleaned on our 4th day. The towels weren’t replaced, or the bed made, etc. I thought that on the days it was serviced more could have been done: the toilet didn’t look washed or the tub, and I don’t think there was any work done in the bathroom or kitchen.

The people who work there are wonderful. They did everything we asked. It looks like you remodeled your lobby but you forgot the rooms. You really should upgrade your rooms especially the bathrooms and the tub.

Noisy Room
Although the room was very nice there was a generator or compressor right next to my window which was extremely loud all night long. I did not sleep at all because of it. I don’t know if this has to do with the hospital construction or not. Maybe rooms on the other side of the building would be quieter.

We loved the spacious bedroom, living and dining space with full kitchen. The location is great for restaurants and shopping, but the view is nothing but construction going on at Mayo Hospital. Staff was super friendly, especially the man incharge of breakfast.

One staff member was a complete a$$ when asked about checkout times, extra blankets and pillows. (It’s the Mayo Clinic campus for cryin’ out loud- people are likely to want a few small items like this when paying nearly $700 for two nights.). Everyone else was super nice and accommodating, and did everything the a$$ wouldn’t do or even entertain.

Great hotel and very friendly
Wow! The front desk went above and beyond. We gathered for the Thanksgiving weekend and needed some assistance with our family plans. The front desk did not hesitate in making sure we had everything we needed. Michelle, the GM, was incredibly helpful. Everytime I head to Phoenix I will make sure this is my go-to hotel.
As for the rooms, clean, spacious, and quiet. Breakfast had everything one would need to get the day started. The firepit was a nice place to sit at night.
