NEVER AGAIN
Will never stay at this hotel again. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Linen was dirty, no bedding was provided until after 10 for the pullout couch. Had to work the next morning and called out due to lack of sleep from how uncomfortable the beds were.

Every time we walked through the door, my toddler said, " Amazing"! Our room was clean, and didn't smell (most hotel rooms trigger my allergies). We had two double beds, a couch, desk, and two seater table. Breakfast was hot and delicious, and the staff was friendly.

Come with family and small kids. Booked a family room. Arrived at 8:30 pm no staff at front desk had to wait to check in. Room was outdated and lack of proper bedding. Fridge does not work. Tissue and toilet paper were obviously left over. A tiny tinny piece of hand soap and body soap, a small tube of shampoo and conditioner is all it offers as bathing. I stayed at Hyatt a lot in many families trips. Thought it is a safe pick but this one absolutely threw me off.

Although my stay was short I did enjoy this property. Overall it was nice. A bit dated in certain areas, but clean nonetheless. This was the first time staying in a hotel with my service dog too. They were nice enough to put me as far away from the elevator as possible & gave me a sign to hang on the door if I went out but left my doggo in the room. The room was very comfortable & well made when we arrived.

Usually stay here with the family when visiting. Housekeeping is not the best, bed linen was extremely worn out and the bathtub had a slow drain.

My stay here was actually an accident as I booked the wrong Richmond Hyatt Place; however, it was a pleasant stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaints were that the pillows were not comfortable - they felt like trash bags filled with stuffing and covered with a pillow case. And I was disappointed that the TV didn't have streaming capabilities like the Hyatt Place where I usually stay.

the tv didn't have a guide and kept freezing on a channel only had like 4 channels other than that was perfect stay. Hotel staff were more than welcoming every time we passed by the desk they asked if room was ok etc and it was very quiet unlike other hotels in area they know how to space guest out between rooms thanks for a quiet great stay

This property on the outside looks great!
As soon as you walk in you are out back into the past. It smelles like cigarettes in the lobby and the hallways. The color is dreary and the dang sink is in front of the bed! The location is greater as there aee eateries and stores near by. The satff waa nice but the price and the place dont match. Definitely motel vibes

Daughter's 17th Bday
The room was a nice size for the number of guest and comfortable. The hallway smelt weird and the elevator felt a little janky. Other than than had a great time and enjoyed my stay.

Did not read notes on reservation.
Have a great experience, however I had requested to be close to elevator when I made my reservations and they put us the the farthest away from the elevator. My husband is in a wheelchair and it was just more convenient for pushing him if we were close to the elevator. Talked to staff at checkout and they were very apologetic to us.
He will stay there again cuz it's a convenient hotel and the staff is nice

Overall GREAT experience. My room was clean and spacious. The desk clerk was friendly and courteous, she introduced herself as well as told us who would be replacing her if we needed anything after she left. In my opinion that was AMAZING! The only issue was the bathtub was clogged when taking a shower, but it was for one night so it wasn’t a huge deal. Whenever I come to Richmond I plan to make Hyatt my home away from home.

We were told the outside pool was open but when we went to look at it a sign on the gate door to the pool said closed for cleaning. The pool looked like it needed a lot of care & cleaning.

Our hotel suite had water leaking inside, we were woken up at 3:30 am and then the next day it was raining and it was leaking significantly. We were given points for another day stay but it was not enough points. When I called back they said that they gave points and would not increase to a one night stay in another Hyatt. Not a good experience.

No one at front desk for check-in (5pm). Front desk attendant was extremely rude at check-out (6am). Old, dated hotel. Room had overpowering smell, flies in the shower. Much better options in the area at the same or better price point.

Nice hotel, loud area
This hotel is nice, and the staff were very friendly. Generally though the area was loud and congested and I am not sure I would stay at this exit again. The parking lot is shared with restaurants and the Wawa next door meant constant traffic all night long.

Morning staff at check out was friendly. That was it! The night staff at front desk was accommodating to my late check-in. However, she gave me a room that was already occupied. Very inconvenient. The room smelled disgusting, like a dingy basement. The tiles in the bathroom has molds. Overall, I was better off staying at a motel.

I really like that you need to use your room key to even enter the lobby after hours. The staff was friendly at all times and super helpful. My kids and I had a great experience and we would definitely book again in the future.

Pricey and small, but clean and friendly staff.
The hotel is nice enough, but I felt the room was cramped, especially for the price. We had a room with 2 doubles and a sofa bed, and it seemed like too much furniture for the room, and the bathroom was very tight. Also, what is with replacing queen beds with doubles? I know it’s because they are cheaper, the bedding is cheaper, and they can fit in smaller rooms, but how many adults are comfortable sharing a double bed? Ok breakfast.

One night stop
Good location for our needs near Rt 295. This older property is setup with toilet/ tub room separate from sink area. This is on the same end of the room as beds with very noisy light/ fan the only toilet option. Beds were comfortable & clean. Breakfast was reasonable. Probably would not stop here again, but fine for one night on the road.

My first bad Hyatt experience!
I've never had a issue at a Hyatt property. But this Hyatt Place Hotel is way overdue for major overhaul! Elevator buttons broken, stained and smelly carpets, outdated rooms. Bad smell in hallways. Room wasn't properly cleaned. Booked a 3 night stay and couldn't last a full day being there. I left the next day and went to a different hotel. Definitely not worth the rates they charging! I feel like a motel would've been better. Highly disappointed!!!

The room wasnice and spacious but we chose this hotel because on Hotels.com it say they have a restaurant bar and lounge. The bar had 4 seats and an extremely limited menu. The person who waited on us did not know how to.make the drink i ordered and it took for ever to get or food which consisted of a small pizza and a burger.

The staff was very polite, and the cook was just amazing as well. Everything was clean and I can not say how welcoming, they where so kind to my whole family. My son is in the Military and we where just loved this place.

The front elevators were very dirty and in poor condition. The room was dirty and the room state was antiquated. The supplies in the room were not new and had been used. The bathroom did not appear clean. This room for its condition was extremely overpriced.

The room was very clean. Have stayed here several times. I cannot understand why the elevators are so dirty. This casts a poor initial impression on the facility that is fortunately salvaged by exceptionally clean rooms. Amenities in the area are good. Shopping and groceries are close.

The 1st. room one pillow has hairs on it, then they give us another room but doesn’t have a microwave, no telephone and the worse thing the heater missing one piece, so we can used it until we went to the front desk and they came and fix it.

This property is showing it age. The lighting in the shower area is very poor and the whole property needs a refresh. The front desk needs attention. Clerks should not be sitting in the lobby area looking at the phones. the "once every three days housekeeping" rule for cleaning the rooms is absurd and not worthy of the name Hyatt. I used to work in the industry and I never thought I would see that.

The room was a handicap room it was clean. But the carpet smelled of urine.
The pool was empty the entire rime of my stay which i was not pleased about.

Sticky, dirty, and gross
Not what I expected. We stay at Hyatt Places a majority of the time we travel. Typically they are well maintained and clean. This is the exception.
Right when we walked in the person at the front desk was vaping out front as we waited to check in. Next the entire lobby floor was sticky. Then we go up to floor two and the entire floor smelled like weed. So many red flags.
Finally we look at the pool from our window. It looked like a dirty pond, nothing like the picture shown (see below). Please do not use this pool, pictured below.
I would recommend staying anywhere but here. Really poor value for the money. Thankfully it was just an overnight stay, but never again.

Nice place to stay.
The hotel was decent especially when compared to the others neer by. The room was nice, clean and had lots of room. The parking lot filled up quickly and sometimes we had to park in the shopping center next door. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was a little lacking in flavor but it was free, hot and had a selection that wasnt just ceral and pastries. The parking lot could use some TLC, lotsof trashon the groundand on the edge ofthe woods.

Bring Back the Housekeeping
I have been staying at this hotel for years and I love it - What I do not love is that the housekeeping only comes every 3-days (give or take) and that you have to go to the desk to get more towels, shampoo, soap, etc. I am glad that the breakfast is back it was really good and well taken care of. The young lady at the front desk was really nice. Overall it is a really good hotel and the rooms are so spacious. If they can fix the housekeeping issue I look forward to my next stay.

The property was fine. But we paid 100 extra per night for this place and the pool wasn't usable. "the vacuum hose was broken" and so there was dirt leaves all over the bottom of the pool and i have 2 little kids thats all they talked about.
