Very Happy herr
We visit ShowLow often as my sister-in-law and brother-in-law live here—-usually we are in our RV but this time decided to drive our car and stay in a hotel. I love Hampton Inn as they are dog friendly—we bring our Yorkie with us. The complimentary breakfast is an added plus. Our room was spacious and clean. Always happy with our experience here.

We have stayed here a few times now and it’s always clean, and the desk people are always friendly and kind. Beds are comfortable, and breakfast is always hot and delicious with lots of options.

Some of the bar chairs in the eating area had loose legs and also some of the foot rest bars were missing on the sides of them. Also some of the tables were not wiped.

Super clean. Excellent staff. No worries if you have pets-they weren't weird about my large dog. They were super sweet to her. The breakfast was good except turkey sausage day but that's a personal preference thing so nbd. The coffee was great. I gave a 4 for comfort because the beds should be replaced soon. Overall excellent experience. Would highly recommend if you ever end up in Show Low, AZ.

The bed was horrible was a nightmare for me and my husband. It must have been a firm mattress. I have stayed in many hotels and never ever had such a firm mattress. VERY disappointed. In addition I was not able to get any points for the hotel stay on their end because I booked with third party. Something I HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IN THE FUTURE!

Wrong room type and no fix
I booked a room with 1 king bed for myself and my toddler to share. When I checked in, no one said anything about my room type. I unloaded my car using a luggage cart and tried to wheel both e the cart (which also had my toddler on it) and my mountain bike into the hotel and in the elevator and up to my room. It was not easy and took a lot of effort. When I got to my room, it had 2 queens. I went back to the check in counter and the person said Hotels.com sold me a room they didn’t have and there was nothing they could do. They had little empathy and told me if I had booked directly with them that wouldn’t have happened. Being a holiday weekend, and considering how much effort it took to unload and get all my stuff to my room while managing a toddler by myself, I had little faith I would find something else with a king for a similar price so I felt defeated and like I was just out of luck I spent the night in the queen bed with my toddler and didn’t sleep at all. It was so uncomfortable. There was no space because I had to have pillows on one side of him, and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. I ended up leaving a day early because I couldn’t bare the thought of spending another sleepless uncomfortable night there. When I checked out they told me it was too late for a refund, so I paid for the night I didn’t stay. Very disappointed in the customer service about this issue and I won’t stay here again.

Very nice hotel
Not much to complain about this hotel. Ok the check in experience was like being Greg Fokker catching a flight home from his inlaws, ie, extremely odd, but the stay was super. They also have a really nice walking path down Show Low creek behind the hotel. I would say this Hampton Inn is on the high end of the Hampton Inn brand

Very disappointed with customer service
Very disappointed in the customer service. There was wind blowing into the room from under the heater I asked for another king bed room and was told they were sold out of my PRICE POINT king beds so they could only offer me two queens or find me another room at another hotel. Very disappointed with this as there were other King beds in the hotel.

Incorrect Listing
The listing says that the Two Queen sleeps 5, but it only sleeps 4! The room isn’t big enough to add a cot. We had to go to Walmart and get a blow up mattress. The hotel would be fine if the listing was accurate, but the inaccuracy created issues for us.

Nice Hotel, Accommodating Staff
Check in was fast and easy and even a little early with no issue. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is nice, and all the little touches throughout the hotel are what sets it apart from others in the area.

Internet was not working and the one person behind the desk was new and had no real idea what to do. We were told to call AT&T to try to resolve the issue. This was a problem throughout the entire hotel.

Once a year I book a Hotel for a PJ party for my Besties Bdays... so much fun! Clean, Comfortable Studio Suite with a balcony over looking nature. The only compliant was the fresh fruit at breakfast was dated and old looking apples & banana's. The rest was tasty!

When I went to check in the daytime desk clerk asked me what my reason was for staying at their motel. I told her that was none of her business. She said yes it was her business; that I didn’t live far enough away and usually locals only rent their rooms to party. She said she had the right to ask me what my reason for renting one of their rooms. I told her again that it was none of her business why I was staying there. I had already reserved and prepaid for my room and she had my credit card info and didn’t to need to know why I was there. She refused to finish checking me in until I told why I was spending the night there. I was completely offended and angry. That was totally infringing on my personal rights. I won’t stay there again.

Very friendly staff, day and night. This hotel
was very clean and smelled really good. The lobby was a nice place to hang out and watch the snow fall. We went over the holidays and the decor was tasteful and the holiday music was relaxing. The free breakfast was actually really good with a decent variety that changed daily, everything from homemade oatmeal, waffles with great toppings, smoothies and everything in between. I would stay here again!

After checking into the hotel, my daughter and I carried our bags up to the room. When we entered to room a man was already in the room. He was startled of course. I apologized and showed him my room key. He then showed me that he had a key to the same room. I then went downstairs to the front desk. The staff member said she was going upstairs to see who was in the room. We waited in the lobby for about thirty minutes. There was another staff member at the front desk. I felt that the situation was not handled well. I should have immediately been put into another room with an upgrade for the inconvenience, but the other staff member was not helping the situation. I was, however offered a snack from the snack bar. No one else was in the hotel lobby at the time.

Clean, modern room, nice property. Great breakfast selection, free parking & WiFi. Wasn’t particularly pleased with room location & front desk staff- I arrived just 20 mins before check in, was told the room wasn’t quite ready yet, so I said I would just wait in the lobby. Then I was told it would probably take longer than 20 mins, so we left to go eat, but I was told I would receive a phone call when the room was ready. 1.5 hrs passed with no call, so we went back- room was ready but no apology. Then we were put in the room right next to the restrooms & there was a banquet happening- all we heard was stall doors slamming for hours (which also vibrated the headboards each time). The next day at checkout I mentioned this, and was just told that my room was usually a preferred room. Oh and I didn’t get offered any bottled water or “anything for the road” like the other guests were offered when they checked out. I guess they are selective on who they are nice to here…

Got a phone call literally as I was landing at the airport saying that the room that I had booked was unavailable that night and I'd be getting a different room. Booked a single king suite and got a double queen suite instead. Not a big deal really, but not what I booked. Was told the next day that the room was still not available and I said I'd rather just stay in the room that I'd been given and not have to move which they said was fine. Got a call in the afternoon on what should've been my last night saying that they had me scheduled to check out but my belongings were still in my room. I told them I had booked for one more night, but they said that the reservation had me checking out that day. They then found a second reservation for one night that had been done separately (not by me), but said that the rate would be more for the room that they'd moved me to because the original room I booked wasn't available. My other option was to come get my stuff and move to a different room (still not the original one I booked). I came to town on business and was not in a position to leave to go move so I was stuck with paying the additional fee. When I went to discuss it with them that evening, after working 11 hours, I was told that the reservation thru third party is guaranteed but the room type is not. They said that the room I had been moved to was an upgrade that they'd kept at the same rate (booked a king suite mind you) and there was nothing they could do for me.

The property had a lot of parking very well maintained everyone was nice when checking in. Our last night there we went out to eat and got sick so when it came time to check out we let them know late check out due to not feeling well, we felt like we were getting harassed by the staff for like a hour with the constant phone calls and knocking at the door! It Seemed like no one communicated with each other.Other than that it was a nice stay with a good breakfast bar!
