Customer service was great! We had our next door neighbors making so much noise around 2 am which woke me up . Breakfast was not so good, good thing I asked just for one time. Checking out was smooth and we were offered extra water bottles to take for our trip. Overall experience was good, definitely, we could stay again here.

Usually we love this property. The staff was very helpful. The restaurant had been closed after I made our reservations specifically asking if it was open they said yes. It closed the week before we arrived. The hot tub did not work. Checked in on Wednesday had to ask for room cleaning on Saturday.

My room's window looked at a concrete wall, the sink was clogged, the phone would not ring the front desk, there were no robes or slippers in order to go to the pool, the pool was cloudy, the hot tub jets were broken and had things floating in it

Staff is very friendly and nice. Would have been nice to know before booking that the hotel was doing renovations. The elevator safety feature would be nice. The breakfast was not very good at all probably due to restaurant renovations.

This hotel was in a great location as we traveled. It is very welcoming and the desk reception was warm & helpful. The top floors were in the midst of being renovated, which they will obviously be renovating the other floors soon. Would love to return when finished to see the improvements. No rugs in the rooms would be more hygienic and a walk-in shower more accessible. We don't golf, plus off season for most part but looks like a great course is part of the property.

I liked how easy check in and out was, the staff was very helpful and accommodating... The restaurant attached to the hotel was very convenient, however there are other shopping centers around the hotel that also have places to eat and shop! Great overall!

The girl at check in was great, very personable. The staff was very nice. Room fridge was extremely noisy at night and shower head was crazy but other than that, the king bed was awesome.

This was our second stay (same time last year) at this particular DoubleTree hotel. The hotel itself is great and we had high expectations after last year's stay. However, that was not the case this time. Our room was never cleaned after our first night's stay. The shower has large bottles affixed to the shower for Shower Gel/Body Wash (2 of them) and a Cleansing Shampoo. Both body wash bottles (mind you these are 16 ounce bottles) were empty enough that the pump couldn't get anything out of them and they don't come off the wall so you can't shake them. Also, the coffee machine was missing the part that holds the coffee/tea bags so although it would boil the water and put it into your cup(s), the pods/bag had to sit inside your cup and you had to spoon them out yourself. There was only one small bar of soap for the sink and the shower so you needed to make the best of it.
None of these are "deal breakers", but I have come to expect better from DoubleTree/Hilton hotels and in particular this one.

Just a very nice hotel with a lot of amenities and a great restaurant attached to the hotel. I wished I brought my golf clubs because there is a nice course right behind it.

I love this property. Number one, it's a Hilton property and my experiences with their properties have always been pleasant. This hotel is less than a mile from several restaurants and shopping options. As you exit the property you have a lovely view of Shenandoah mountains which is a lovely plus, oh and let's not forget, you get a large tasty cookie on check-in.

Everything was first rate. The big plus was there is a beautiful golf course adjacent to the hotel which has reduced rates for guests. This was the quietest hotel I've ever stayed at, really. My room had a view of the golf course and its slice of the surrounding mountains.

Overall stay C+ still best hotel in Front Royal
Staff seemed perturbed , annoyed when requesting a child crib. The hot tub needs to be cleaned , the whole pool area has a big infestation ; numerous bugs crawling up the glass windows. Plenty of towels to use down at pool, room was spacious and beds comfortable!

Very friendly desk staff. Spent a beautiful afternoon on the patio overlooking a golf course and the mountains. Close to restaurants and an EV charger. When our tv wouldn’t work, someone came right up to fix it. Spacious room. Will definitely return.

Check in and relax !
This was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our trip. The room was big/ clean and quiet. Having a restaurant on the premises was an added bonus. Good food and service and a bar for cocktails after a long drive hit the spot without having to leave the hotel. Breakfast was great too!

Very expensive. TV remote didn’t work properly. To turn it on and off, you had to walk over and press a button. After struggling with it for quite some time trying to get it to come on, I went to the front desk. When I told them the room number I was staying in, I was immediately told “yeah, that remote doesn’t work right”. Why not tell me when I check in, or better yet, fix it??? Overall, not a pleasant experience for $275 a night.

Brought us a microwave on request and more towels as well. I like the housekeeping upon request vs wasting their time daily. We went to the attached restaurant each night for a drink and dessert, great idea!

It had a quality restaurant attached, nice hot tub and pool and generally nice facilities.
Some issues with wear in some areas and a couple minor cleanliness issues, but overall a very decent and convenient place to stay if you are going to Shenandoah National Park.

Check in staff was too busy talking between themselves to actually focus on our check in. Grounds person outside in the morning was audibly grumbling about people who left ashes on the concrete and that she had a schedule to keep. Didn't have time for this. Ok to grumble just not around the people staying there.

We liked everything about this location. The Customer Service was great. It was clean, comfortable and a great location. The hotel is located right next to a great golf course. They have a restaurant attached to the hotel which is a great stop after a round of golf.

Should not be considered a 4 star hotel
This was not the stay I was expecting. I looked for a four star hotel and got way less. The only thing good about this location was the Mountain View. We spent the first hour of checkin switching rooms three times. Two rooms had broken utilities (toilets) and the third was outrageously dirty. There was stains on the couches, hair in the refrigerator, no soap in the shower, dirty countertops, microwave was dirty, the bed looked like someone took a nap in it already, and the curtains were a outright tragedy. The fourth room we got was rushed because by this time we were already late for a graduation in which we drove four hours away to attend. We took the issue up with the manager and she was broad on a solution but should have just given us a refund. We contacted hotels.com to make a complaint and to escalate for a better resolution. All they wanted to do was give us half off. Alex was the only great thing about this stay because I watched this woman run to get me another room and she was dedicated to try to fix this situation. It was out of her control though.

This was an excellent choice. We arrived close to midnight and the gentleman checking us in was so friendly and gave us tips for sites of the local area. We also had a delicious warm cookie, free to all.
The bed was very comfortable and we had down pillows, which I didn't expect. We use down pillows at home, but didn't expect at the hotel. The suite was very clean, love the options for recycled trash bin. My suggestion would be a bowl of fruit and muffins in the lobby to accompany the complimentary coffee. There is a restaurant on site. Overall, a great stay!

Wouldn't Stay Again
The one good thing I can say is the staff was great, even as they were short handed. We had several issues. First we were given a conjoined room which made us a little uncomfortable as we didn't request this. We ended up switching rooms. The bathroom had hair in it and the ceiling had mold on it! Ew. The water in the shower would NOT get hot. It remained Luke warm for our entire stay. The carpet near the beds had stains throughout the room. It overall just made me feel unclean.

The bed was very comfortable. I just wish that all hotels would clean their air conditioners properly insead of putting potpourri in them. Some people do not like the smell and have allergies. Thats the only negative I have about this place. The restaurant and the staff in the hotel were extremely polite and professional. I ate here for dinner and breakfast. I thought the food was great.

I was in town for business. This hotel was spotless!! It was very clean and actually smelled clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and my favorite part was my name was on the TV screen when I walked in!! I will definitely be staying here every time I work in Front Royal!
