The property itself was very nice. The issue that I have with this resort was it was overrun with dogs. Don’t get me wrong I love dogs but I don’t want to hear them barking while I’m trying to relax on the beach. They should rename this resort Barkers Cay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Bakers Cay Resort in Key Largo, and I must say, it was an absolutely spectacular experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a friendly staff that went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect.
The rooms at Bakers Cay Resort are not only clean but also stunning. The attention to detail in the decor and furnishings is evident, creating a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere. But what truly took my breath away was the view from the room. The sight of the crystal-clear waters and the picturesque surroundings was nothing short of breathtaking.
One of the highlights of my stay was the wide range of activities available right at the resort. With two pools to choose from, including a family pool and an adults-only pool, there was something for everyone. I had the pleasure of spotting iguanas, manatees, and even a starfish during my time at the resort, which added to the unique and memorable experience.
I highly recommend taking advantage of the sunset cruise offered by Bakers Cay Resort. It was a truly relaxing and awe-inspiring experience. Watching the sun set over the water was a sight to behold and created a sense of tranquility that is hard to find elsewhere.
For those seeking a bit more adventure, renting jet skis and exploring the breathtaking bay is an absolute must. The freedom to roam the waters and take in the stunning surroundings is an experience I will never forget.

Our stay at Baker’s Cay was just what we needed. Calm, quiet, relaxing—the accommodations were beautiful, view was amazing, staff was friendly, rooms were clean and quiet and there is enough nearby if you need other dining options.

The most clean and beautiful resort I’ve been to! So many fun water activities for the kids (and adults!). Wonderful staff who were so friendly and helpful. Excellent drinks at the tiki bar out on the beach. Two beach options, two pools, two restaurants. Couldn’t ask for more. Can’t wait to go back!

Great experience!
We lived our stay! The resort is beautiful and the rooms have the most comfortablest bed!!! My husband and I were very cozy! The staff is great especially our bartenders at the beach bar. Tbey are very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great recommendations as to where to eat. We will definitely be back!!

Very disappointed with my stay. Booked for 2 nights but checked out a night early and took the loss.
When we first checked in, we saw numerous issues with the room (see below). However, the biggest reason we checked out early was because our door didn’t lock. I didn’t realize this until the next day. Thankfully nothing was stolen. The door closes and appears to be locked but if you just push on the door it opens up. We called the front desk to fix it, and someone came by to look at it. He said he will come right back with tools to fix it. So, we assumed it would be fixed and left for the day to visit Key West. When we came back at midnight, the door was still not fixed. Thankfully again, nothing was stolen but I could have lost a lot due to their negligence. Since it was already midnight, I didn’t want to deal with the front staff and deal with them fixing my door again so I went to check out and drive home a day early. I told them about this and they they just said sorry.
1. The room had a musty smell in it. I wasn’t sure if it's from mold or what it was. Not the worse smell in the world but definitely not pleasant.
2. There was a quarter size brown stain on the bathroom door, I don’t even want to know what it was.
3. The toilet flushed once and the handle broke off so I had to call the front desk to fix it.
more issues but Expedia only lets me type 1500 characters.

This was a horrible stay! I feel like I been deceived! This is no where near a 4 stars hotel! Our room was so smelly. There were no vent in bathroom. The room was so stuffy and smelly. The couch has stains. Nothing looks clean. Expedia needs to removed there listing under 4 stars hotel. This is deceiving and misleading! I have stay at less stars, but is way better than this place. During our stay we couldn’t wait til the sun is out so we can begin our day. It was not a relaxing or enjoyable stay at all! Remove the 4 stars listing and stop deceiving guests!

Everything you could want is here. Bikes, paddle boarding, kayaks included in the resort fee- along with corn hole, ping pong and pool. Swimming pools are small but the beach and water there is clear and calm. Good food. Friendly and responsive staff. Nice gym. Bring your own peloton shoes for the bike- no toe cages. If you want quiet- stay in the Hammock wing. The coconut wing is by the beach and tiki hut where the music and drinks are cranking. The Hammock wing is so incredibly peaceful. Yummy ice cream in the evenings and a solid coffee in the am

The property was beautiful. The outside of the hotel was picturesque. The shared spaces of the resort were also lovely. The staff were amazing and the food was excellent. Here’s what I didn’t like about the resort. I was very surprised given the price of the room how lackluster the actual room was I certainly expected more for that price. I also didn’t expect that part of the wall had multiple gouges in it and look like it needed to be repaired. I also didn’t expect an extremely dirty sofa. It looks like it was stained and needed to be cleaned. I also didn’t expect about a 5 to 6 inch long 2 to 3 inch wide cockroach with wings. It was the largest insect I’ve ever seen and the size of a small mammal, crawling out from under the couch. I had to call the front desk to have someone come and get it given the size. It apparently disappeared inside the couch at which point I requested that the couch go out onto the balcony. That was the second time that I had to call the concierge service the first time was because the TV didn’t work, the gentleman came and fixed it quickly. The third time was on my last morning. Woke up at 7:20 AM by the sound of someone with what appeared to be a leaf blower right outside my room by the front door. When I called the front desk, they said they would take care of it right away, which they didn’t, and explain that he does that every morning. also be prepared to pay an additional 45 dollars a day for resort fee. Overall I wouldn’t stay again

We loved the property but was disappointed when we get there the first day and there was a pool closed and part of the beach closed for weddings. Also had to move rooms because of no hot water in one part of the resort but they were more then happy to move our rooms and so happy we did. The coconut wing is beautiful. Will definitely consider staying here again!

Only one hot tub on the property and it was closed for cleaning , we didn’t know of this until check in. I would have booked another property as the weather was quite cold, also, both days the water activities were closed due to weather, not much else to do. Restaurants were wildly overpriced for the quality, fish and chips was dripping in grease. I wouldn’t book here again

Lovely stay over Thanksgiving with our puppy!
My wife and I loved our stay at Baker's Cay over Thanksgiving. We choose the hotel after seeing it written up as one of the most dog-friendly hotels in the US. We brought our 11 month old dachshund and it couldn't have been more perfect! He was off leash for much of the time, swimming and playing in the sand. The resort's casual and relaxed atmosphere was exactly what we needed to recharge. The staff was friendly and the restaurants were very good. I would definitely stay again!

Beautiful wooded grounds and a nice private beach as far as beaches in the keys go. Nice to have water sports on-site, although their offerings are basic.
Grounds were clean. 2 pools were clean but small. We were in the 2-bedroom suite which was spacious except the single bathroom is accessed only through the 2nd bedroom. Staff were very attentive. Somewhat pricey for what you get overall, and the $45/night resort fee is bogus.

This place is beautiful and one of the employees named Ainsworth was extra friendly and inviting - he deserves a raise! For check in there was a small inconvenience with our room keys not working the first time, but that happened at the last Hilton we stayed at so they should look into what is going on with their key activation process! This place is spectacular overall and I will be back!

I loved the whole vibe of the property. Very intimate and just overall nice looking! Lots of horrible attitude and poor customer service from a bunch of employees who seemed like it made them look cool to their coworkers if they were rude to people. Kayla from the restaurant by the beach was THE nicest bar tender. She gets 5 stars!

$260 per night but didn't include another $75 dog fee per day, plus another $45 resort fee per day.
Absolutely not worth $300 a night.
Key largo is a sad and expensive place to be. The Caribbean islands are are shorter flight away than the keys are driving, while still being cheaper and better.

A little disappointing
The grounds and staff were amazing. We were highly disappointed in the room, we were ground level in the Coconut wing. We heard every noise coming from each room next to us as well as all the movement from the folks the floor above us. You could hear everyone making their way past our room like the door was wide open. Not surprising as there was a huge gap under the door you could see the morning sun coming through. It was the most expensive area of the resort, our expectations reflected that and we were not happy. The main restaurant was also meh for dinner, again we were hopeful such a nice resort would have a killer main restaurant. The bar eats were top notch and we enjoyed eating there. The views from both were beautiful. All in all the resort is beautiful, pool area is great and the service is wonderful but again when paying top rate certain expectations should be met.

The room: The room was as described, it was clean, the setup was nice and made a lot of sense. The bathroom was very spacious which we thought was important after spending so much time at the beach and sightseeing. We had a partial ocean view on hammock Beach and it was very nice. The bed and pillows could use some updating but they were okay.
Property: The property was expansive and very well kept. There are two separate beaches, one is more private and one is more activity based. There are two restaurants on site, we were not impressed with either one of them. There is also a tiki bar on one of the beaches, we were not impressed with that either. Overall the property itself is beautiful.
Value: What you get with a resort fee is deceiving. Our resort fee totaled $350 and it included a 1-hour use of kayaks or kneeboards and unlimited use of beach towels. That's a pretty steep fee considering the kayak and kneeboard rental is $20 an hour. We felt like the resort fee was a complete sham. Additionally if you charge anything to your room it will cost you an extra 20% opposed to just paying cash. We also thought that was odd but important for people to know. We felt our nightly rate was justified considering the condition and the amenities of the resort, which were nice. However we felt the resort fee and the additional 20% fees where astronomical and unwarranted.
Overall, the beaches there were wonderful. Eat off site, the food will be better and it's less expensive.

We had a wonderful stay for our babymoon! The beaches and pools were clean and quiet. I had an amazing prenatal massage at the resort spa. We ate meals and both restaurants. Recommend. :)

We stayed here two nights while exploring the Keys.
We checked in after the 4 pm check-in time, and were told our room was not ready, and that we would receive a call or text once the room was ready. We headed down to the beach area for a drink. Had dinner, because room still was not ready. During dinner sent a text to see if room was ready. We were told they would get back to us. About 7:15, we went back to the desk and asked again. They said they room was ready, and that we should have been contacted some time ago.
Other than this, the rest of our stay was nice. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed our little balcony. The restaurant and bar area was nice. Little beach area clean and friendly

Very nice property - I've stayed a couple times before intimate, relaxed vibe and easy to navigate. Older facility but well maintained. Nice beach, amenities and common areas, friendly staff.
Seems like lots of guests with dogs, maybe that's a thing now to bring your dog everywhere, encountered a couple unpleasant puddles and droppings that IMO should have been dealt with by the dog owning guest, if you bring your dog w/ you clean up after it, ditto guests insisting to take their dogs out on the floating rafts - nobody wants to hang out on a raft with or after someone else's wet mongrel pet is slobbering all over it. Some people are real ignorant that way. Hotel should enforce stricter regs around that or have a seperate dog area.

The room walls are paper thin, and you can hear everything from our neighbors. Also, if you have small children, it’s a great place to be. We don’t anymore and felt like our adult get away was clustered with crying kids everywhere except for the adult pool. Laying out on the beach all you hear is crying and tired children. Not the birds or water on the beach. Lastly, we are dog owners, but this hotel is saturated with dogs everywhere. Restaurants, beach, and in room barking is abundant.

You hear everything in the rooms on either side. Floors are tiled, which doesn’t trap humid odors from the Gulf, but you hear every footstep, item dropped, and conversation since there’s nothing to absorb the sounds. Some of the clientele were obnoxious bringing a portable music box to the beach and blasting the volume. They argued with the hotel staff who had to come back twice to have the guest turn off the music. Meanwhile, other guests were chanting, “Music…!” A lot of dogs and children. Staff was great.

This holiday made my kids year. We went all over the USA and this was their fav place. The service was amazing, the food and drinks were excellent, the experiences and offerings such as champagne sunsets, s’mores on the beach, fishing in the morning, multiple bikes at front of hotel, it was a really memorable experience and we Thankyou for making this hokiest better than we could expect. Your hotel is stunning and Lisa the s’mores last was just beautiful. Your staff are the most beautiful people we have met on this trip

When we first arrived to the hotel the check-in person did not ask for proper identification. There was two families with the same last name and she didn't care to check for first name and last name. She then proceeded to check our reservation to the other family. The other family was my husband brother with this wife and son. Once we approach the front desk the other person can I your reservation name. After they realized they incorrectly checked the wrong person. The reservation had to cancelled and re done for some odd reason. It was a mess. We arrived early to the hotel to utilized the amenities because check-in is not until 4 pm which is ridiculous. We did not have the best stay at this hotel. I wouldn't recommend people to stay here. Even the service took forever. Not enough staff.

The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful with so many amenities from fishing to beach access and amazing restaurants. Bakers Cay is a gem. While the rooms were a little hot, dirty and in need of some TLC, it’s something you overlook because the overall experience. What an amazing property!

Private beach area is great for families with little ones.
Some staff (not a reflection on all staff) can be a little more receptive and friendly toward guests (guy manning the kayaks come to mind). Observed snap backs and rude attitude towards guests on numerous occasions. Others like the servers in Dry Rocks get A all the way for their service with a smile and attentiveness.
Some areas are in need of maintenance ( leaking ice and water refill stations and rusted pipes for example).

My absolute favorite resort in Key Largo! The decor of the resort alone is stunning, beautiful private beaches with plenty of water activities to partake in! The food was delicious and service was fast. Rooms are very spacious and super clean. Definitely a great place to vacation!

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon. From check in to check out, it was incredible. They were prompt to answer or help with any questions. Including having a microwave delivered to our room, and the laundry service was quick. Food was amazing and the Tequila tasting was fun and knowledgeable. The bartenders at Dry Rocks were all awesome. Kayla was exceptionally helpful for our whole trip and recommendations. We will be back with our kids sometime soon.

The property was beautiful and well kept. We had a very nice time. However, I gave staff and service 3 stars for a reason. Check in I was very unorganized and their communication was non existent. Our room was not ready when we arrived, so we dropped our bags and went to get something to eat. Waiting for a phone call from the front desk to tell us our room was ready. I returned to the front desk to find that our room was ready, but no one contacted us. There were two people at the desk and one did not know what the other was doing. They made me feel like I was out of line for being upset. They were flat out rude, and made our check-in very unpleasant. Most of the other staff were wonderful and very helpful but the two employees at the front desk need some work on their customer service.

I took my fiancé here for her birthday and it was the best decision I made. The room was perfect, the beach is ten steps away. Customer service and check in was smooth and helpful. The two restaurants on property were delicious. 10/10, I will stay again.

The place is perfect for families they have a bunch of activities for the kids . The Rooms were very small and not clean as soon as we walk in i saw sand under the beds and while my 6 years old girl was taking a shower a huge cockroach show up …the fitness center has a peloton bike but it’s super old n does not have the pedals … other then that everything else was fine . Restaurant prices are pretty good …

This was our third visit to this resort. Our favorite part of this resort is the beach and tehe ocean view. One thing that constantly keeps us disappointed is the housekeeping. The cleaning staffs changes the towel and bedding but do not clean the room with dirts left uncleaned. We asked the housekeeping staffs to please vacuum the room but our request was never honored. In addition, the staffs generally weren’t friendly. Though I really like the beach and the view, I don’t think we will come back.

We really loved this property it was so convenient and relaxing the food was really amazing. Only issue I experienced was that I came in for a wedding and this was the third hotel I checked into for my stay in Florida and had no issues to get into my room a little early. This is an upscale resort, I arrived around 12pm to just see if my room was ready and let them know if they could tell me it was ready early so I could get ready for the wedding which was at 4:40. Traveling with 4 people coordinating work kids etc this was the day I had to check into this hotel. They told me they would text, I never got a text. I had to find another family member to get changed in their hotel and then rush back to drop my bags off. I get back to Bakers at 4pm which is check in time and they issue me the room bracelets and I head to my room….which is STILL being cleaned at 4:07 and the cleaning person was talking on her phone in the room. For a place you are paying a good amount for you would expect a little more as it was with three other hotels of the same caliber. I wasnt trying to be in the room hours before but an hour would’ve been great. Super disappointed in the lack of customer service right in the beginning of the stay.

Sure the photos make it look like the perfect place to stay. Be assured that you’re hard earned dollars will go to complete waste at this place. This hotel was a complete disappointment.
With the price point and name attached to this property we expected a nice quiet place to rest and relax. Our experience was quite the opposite. To start, our room was not ready at checking in. Upon getting into our newly appointed room we quickly realized that it was one of the most filthy rooms we had ever stayed in, anywhere. The room had not been dusted in quite some time, the floors were full of dirt and sand, mirrors and glass doors were full of sticky finger prints, the refrigerator had food spilled all over and the room had a very poor odor.
The room furnishings at one time were probably very beautiful. However, those days are long gone. The furniture had significant wear, tiles were stained, metal furnishes were covered in rust and the sofa was so heavily stained & the flooring was severely scratched.
We didn’t sleep a wink due to unsupervised children slamming doors and running down hallways, while parents were getting rowdy at the beach. Even the adult pool had children at it doing cannonballs and ruining any chance of relaxation. The poolside attendant sat in a little room and was threatening about stealing their measly pool towels but didn’t care a bit about the all the trash and food laying around the pool.
Just stay somewhere else. You’ll be thankful.

Had been her for a friends wedding back in 2020, didn’t get to you the hotel amenities came back with my family and it has so many activities for kiddos it made our little family vacation that much more memorable. Thank you ! We are definitely coming back.

Beautiful property and many resort offerings on site. We haven’t stayed there since the remodel and the rooms and complex are amazing. Had a disappointing experience at one of the restaurants but overall We would recommend.

If you enjoy your sleep, take earplugs. Too many doors, slamming. Also, too many dogs for us.

The hotel is incredible but the bartender at the pool needs to be replaced, rude and extremely unfriendly.

Check in was delayed. Once we finally got our rooms, one had a very strong smell of pee and the other had non existent water pressure in the bathroom and what looked to be finger prints all over the TV. High touch areas that should've been cleaned we're definitely not touched. We called for the front desk to have the cushions of the couch replaced They reaked of pee. Unfortunately even after removing them the room still had a strong smell of pee.the entire room seemed very beat up. The pullout couch was horrible. The mattress could not even hold my 4 year old. It looked like a Matt that had been beat up. It also creaked with every move he made. We stayed here a couple of years ago and loved it. I'm not sure what happened since then but the quality of this resort has drastically dropped. For the high nightly rate I expected so much more.will definitely not be coming back here. Rather stay at Playa largo next door.

All of the above …only recommendation would be to have a magnifying mirror on bathroom…foo was great as was atmosphere of surroundings
