The breakfast buffet was more then disappointing. It is a breakfast that other hotels include with your stay. Powdered eggs, frozen pancakes, bacon, and etc. The other hotels include waffles, yogurt, bananas, and a few other breakfast items along with the other items listed above for NO additional charge. I was SHOCKED! There's no microwave in the rooms. However, the customer service, rooms, cleanliness, and area was very very nice.

Hello there to the time i check in to the time I check out everything was great.The only thing i order pizza in i need plates from desk restaurant didnt have any in no microwave in room.

Fine, not great!
My stay here was fine not great. I did have a few issues with my first room. My toilet stopped working in the middle of the night. After trying to call the front desk in the morning, the “at your service” button told me the # was not a working #! I tried dialing zero, I ended up in someone’s voicemail! No live person to communicate with! I was left with the only option to go down to the front desk, after I used the RR’s on the 1st floor, I then spoke with the front desk. I explained the above issues. I told the front desk I was getting ready to attend my niece’s funeral and would stop by the front desk on my way out. A little after 9:00 am, I let the same person know I was leaving and would be gone all day.
12 hours later, I came back to my room with the toilet still not working. Your front desk FAILED to let anyone know about the above issues! The front office manager, Cora was the unfortunate one to deal with me and my demand for a new room. She did get me a new room and was sweet enough to help me pack my things and move me to the new room.
The cleanliness of the bathroom in the 2nd room was not at all acceptable. There was hair, not mine on the shower walls and if that wasn’t bad enough, there was hair on the ceiling near the bathroom door! I thought about taking a picture, but I didn’t.
The pillows were awful and bed was okay, not great!
I don’t know if I would stay here again.

The front staff was friendly. The cleanliness of the room was disappointing. The blanket had what appeared to be mildew stains and the door and bathroom wall were dirty. My room was by the electrical room and the ice machine so I heard all the traffic from other occupants. I stayed here years ago and my stay then was excellent. I’m not sure what happened over the years.

The hotel was clean, very friendly staff and convenient location. Only thing I did not like was that my room had a gapping at the bottom of the door. Noticed it when my wife pointed it out. I did a walkdown of my hall and noticed certain rooms had the issue, and some doors were completely sealed. No clue why that is, which is why I gave that aspect 4 stars flr the facility. Overall, great bar and restuarant, and gym and pool were decent.

I didn't like that my room was deficient in the following items:
1) No tissue box.
2) No water bottles (Qty:2)
3) No hot water.
4) Water didn't stay in sink due to O-ring missing around stopper.

Very Disappointed
Usually I don’t comment or leave reviews but in this case I feel that I must. Let’s start off with how there were kids everywhere in the lobby area. Don’t get me wrong I have nothing against children but when they are disrespectful of people space and the parents are not tending to them there is an issue. One child knocked my coffee out of my hands when entering the elevator due to playing hide and go seek. No parent in sight. Then let’s talk about the room. There were not enough towels, the tub backed up with water when showering. Plus the sink leaked. It was overall a frustrating stay for me and usually inever complain. It’s unfortunate that my experience was not as good as it could’ve been.

Nice but questionably accessible
The location is good and the hotel itself is very nice. Their wheelchair and low mobility access is a 7/10. Not bad but definitely could be better. The handicapped rooms are far from entries making it necessary to go a long way to get to the room. The toilet is very close to one wall making transfer a challenge. The bed is very tall making independent transfer challenging as well. In addition the thermostat for the room is high and above other objects making it difficult/impossible to reach independently. Finally, the space around the furniture was exceedingly tight and the rods for closing the drapes were high. The shower was great. Overall not bad but needed some more thought put into being truly accessible.

I did not like the check in portion. It would not except my credit card that i used to reserve my room. I was forced to use my debit card that i normally do not use for this purpose. The room did not have a microwave or frig. I found out that some of my friends had one of each in their room. I was put by the elevator where i could hear people talking while i was in bed. I was not impressed with this hotel.

Front desk staff was so unprofessional. Leaning over the desk, rude, barely answering our questions, mumbling, etc. I believe her name was Mariah. Never was told about the hold on the card for incidentals. Never was told about the hotel having a pool or anything. Never received this treatment from a Marriott. Beware and definitely believe the other reviews for this property. I wish I would have read them beforehand.

It’s a big spacious hotel with lots of area’s for meetings and or gatherings. The front desk check in was quick and the people were friendly. It’s located close to malls and central to the beach, downtown Norfolk and the Bases.

No hot water!
There was no hot water in my room. About three hours after check in I went to take a shower and it wouldn’t get hot. I went to the front desk to tell them and the rude lady said “well did you tell us when you checked in?” Um, no I’m sorry, I didn’t check the hot water when I got here! Well the proceeded to send a mechanic to my room to try to fix it at 8 pm at night! The mechanic was there for 45 minutes banging his tools while he changed out the whole faucet on the shower wall. Meanwhile I had been trraveling all day and was really wanting a shower and bed. Finally at 930 after they were unsuccessful in getting the water to work, they moved my room. They offered no compensation for my wasted 2 hours. And I didn’t get the relaxing evening I was looking forward too.

Reserved an accessible room but was given a non-accessible one on 6th floor. The lady who handled this had no sorry, no smile, not even look at you, totally a cold unpleasant face. The gentleman, probably a manager, was good and took care of this issue quickly and got an accessible room for us. We run out of hot water quickly for only two person, otherwise the room looks good and clean, and the heater/air conditioning was quite.

Check in was a complete disaster from start to finish. After checking in, we went into our room only to be greeted with dirty sheets and piss poor housekeeping. The bed was made with unchanged bedding. I had to request all bedding be removed and replaced after being told it was going to be a “while” before another room will be available. Considering this being a Marriot brand, I was totally disappointed and disgusted with this facility. I will take my claims and pictures up with Marriott’s corporate management on these matters.

Mediocre Service
Had a terrible room, below surface grade with a view of a wall covered in plastic plants and could barely see any sky. Staff at check in made no eye contact, restaurant staff were so slow, took 15 minutes asking 3 times just for a glass of water (and this was with only 4 tables with customers). After breakfast, staff disappeared for 15 minutes and there was no one to pay so had to flag down other staff to please take the bill.

We arrived at our room to the smell of sewage. We went out and later returned hoping the smell would have dyed down only for it to be worse. When we contacted the front desk we were told she would tell the manager when they come in at 2pm however check out is at 11am so theirs no way to contact a supervisor smh. Terrible service very disappointing

Great hotel, everything was clean, staff was friendly. Exercise room was great! I stay at a lot of hotels, my recent stay at this Delta was most certainly a 5 star experience. However, the walls are a bit thin and you can occasionally hear your neighbors but that isn’t reason enough to give this exceptional hotel a 4 star rating. I really appreciate Marriott's commitment to having consistently good hotels.

Our room was lovely, quiet, and seemed very clean. Staff was friendly. Well located property. They could improve on amenities--no water glasses available, totally out of facial tissues (unfortunately I was allergic to something --developed sneezing and a runny nose). But is was a good, quiet room so our stay was comfortable in every other respect.

traveled for over 24 hours landed in the states from the middle east at 0800 requested a early check in was told I would have to wait till 4 pm to check in not very supportive to the military. I called days before and asked to be allowed to check in early and was told the same.

I arrived earlier than the check in time. The receptionist took my number and promised to call when a room became available. She called within the hour to notify me that I could come and check in. That was very kind and attentive of her. My room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend staying here!!!

Everything was great except for when me and my spouse went to the bar for drinks we did not receive good customer service at all. The bartender was pregnant with no help which made it very hard on her to serve the bar and take care of food orders and clean up after guest were done eating.

Was there for a overnight stay all around it seems like a nice property but for some reason there was a dog barking on the third floor? Usually animals are kept on lower floors to limit the sound from traveling.

The hotel was nice, well maintained, the rooms were clean and very nice looking. The staff was friendly and courteous. We drove 6 hours to get there and they had a snow storm, the museum we were visiting was closed, the hotel was nice enough to let us check in early because most everything was closed for attractions.
Only negative we had was that the room that the indoor pool was housed was very cold, the pool temperature was very nice but when you got out it was freezing, the temperature gauge said it was 59 degrees in the room. It was a cold day outside when we were there though. Other than that everything else was great.

We got a King Suite - the room was great, spacious, and clean. I called front desk for a bedding bag for the pullout sofa, and it arrived within minutes. It was very quiet also. There's so much to do nearby... even the convenience store is in walking distance. This is my second time staying, and I'd definitely do it again!
