Not clean; screaming long-term guests;kitchenette
This place is okay but really needs help with the housekeeping department.The towels and toilet paper were missing upon checking in. The housekeeping staff did a terrible job.There were plastic bags and food left from the previous person. There was hair left all over the bathroom floor and sink.They left soap caked on the bathroom floor and there wax left on the floor as well. The base trim was cheap and faling off the walls and you could see the trash collecting in the glue. The previous person had placed a paper towel over the fire alarm and the housekeepers did not take it down. You can tell that there are long term guests there and some were extremely loud and you could hear fights.The stove and full size fridge were great.It is not a terrible place but needs better housekeeping.

Not as good as used to be
It was a clean place. Staff is super nice. Just that some of the clientele that now are there are not off the best crowd is all I can say. Def had gone downhill over the last few months.

The staff were not great. The hotel smelled like dog. No carpets in rooms like the picture displayed. The whole room looked like it was thrown together. Side doors didnt work. Pool closed. Good location.

Unprofessional and disgusting
I called the week before our stay to confirm check in time because my daughter had dance competition and we were on a tight schedule. I was told 3 pm is check in. We got there at 3:30 and was told the room wasn't clean and it would be 30 minutes. The smell of smoke was overpowering. Then they told us at 4:10 that it would be another 30 minutes. I had to try to get her ready in the car and just try to make the best of it. I decided to take my girlie in to get into costume in the general bathroom in order to be on time to competition. When we went into the bathroom there was no toilet paper, but the empty roll was set on the floor. The toilet was full of pee with half a roll of toilet paper in the bowl. Urine was all over the seat and poop smeared on the wall. There was what looked (identical) to pubic hair all over the floor and toilet seat. There was no soap to even wash your hands. We turned and walked out. They of course said it was to late to get a refund, even though i still didnt have a room available. Not only was I out the money, I had to then find another hotel. Worst experience I've had. Don't waste your money! And please spare me the generic response you post to every review both good and bad.

They were not going to check me in cause it was after 11 but no where stated that. Then the room key was the wrong room. Tv did not work after I eventually got in the room.

This property is the biggest joke possible. If you want a room that never gets cleaned your whole stay then pick here. Clearly you’re only staying here for the price BUT trust me just stay elsewhere for the extra $10 a night. The managers suck, they are beyond rude & lazy.

NEVER AGAIN
Just no, hard pass. Look elsewhere. If your car isn’t comfortable, and it’s too cold or too hot to bum it outside for a few…maybe this is the place. But NO, probably not even then. Hard pass. Just say NO..because the people here do not. Decorative artwork on the wall, rusty toilet paper holder. No table. Two crunchy worn hand towels is all you get. Groups outside smoking and drinking and scoping out who’s going and coming, and what they might be moving with them. YEP Microwave, TUH. Lamp light at bed. TUH. Bugs, weird smells, drugs, PLENTIFUL. Think people of Walmart meets hotelier.

Cabinet we missing draws, exterior chipped and scraped, holes in walls, no amenities like a glass or bath towels, only small hand towels, no wash cloths, no shampoo, etc.

Never been in a worse hotel.
Arrival took over two hours. They claimed that they couldn't let us check in because their system wasn't letting them finish the transaction. Then, they told us we could check in, but the room we reserved a month prior wasn't available, and offered to put us in a different room for the night. We had no other options, so we did that. The room was complete garbage. Seats, carpet, curtains were all ripped and shredded. AC and Refrigerator didnt work. Smelled harshly chemical. No TP, hair dryer, or towels in the bathroom. Checked out next morning (5th). Contacted Hotels.com to assist with a refund, since Welcome Suites refused, and WS claimed that we hadn't checked out, and that our things were still in the room on the 12th. Requesting chargeback with our bank. absolute garbage hotel, with NO help from Hotels.com.

We were upset. Your booking wasnt excepted. They told us we had to stay longer than 2 days. They turn us away. We had to fine another hotel which was almost impossible. Wasnt happy at all.

Very disappointing
Had me sign a no smoking agreement but my room smelled like smoke an look like a smokers room bathroom wasn’t clean an there was food left on the kitchen floor the air conditioner filter needed changing an my bed was really hard wouldn’t stay here again even if it was free

They called and canceled my reservation when we were about 3 hours away on our 2nd long day of driving. Said person had extended their stay and no room available for me.we did not proceed to Illinois . I had to cancel our plans for weekend. I was shocked.

No, pillows..brought us up 2 and said that was the last 2 in the building, all hotels have 2 per bed. No cup to take medication, had to use our hand. A present in the toilet, we had to flush to use...grose! No coffee, had to drive up to the gas station. Beds uncomfortable. We will not be back or use Expedia ever again.

No wonder it was so cheap!
It took 3 days to get a towel, although itbwas a suite there were no dishes, no silverware, no way to cook anything, and when it came time.to do laundry the front desk couldnt provide any change. Wasnt able to get a working remote for a day which meant no working tv. Not the best way to spend the 10 days i had to stay there.

Very poor service and room
When our employee got there and they got up to the room it stunk and there was food left in the fridge the room had not been cleaned at all they told them that they could not change them to another room. Finally they did get someone to clean the room then something about trying to find pillows for the bed but after 2 hours they finally got into their room which is totally I believe uncalled for.

Not a good stay
We got to the hotel after 11 PM. The room was not ready. The clerk was friendly and very helpful, but there was a drunk gentleman in the lobby who kept talking to us saying the same things over and over. Most notably was he identified himself as the brother of the general manager. He was friendly enough, but it was an uncomfortable situation. The check in clerk had checked the room before we went up and let us know that it wasn’t “completely” ready and he would need to bring blankets up to the room. The floors in the sleeping area and bathroom were filthy and we wore shoe and/or socks anytime we had to walk on the floor. Additionally, the floor was sticky and had dead bugs on it. I had to wipe the tabletops off to put stuff on them and cleaned lotion off the floor to keep from slipping in it. Not a place I would ever use again. The photos I have added are from where I wiped the floor with a washcloth at a random spot in the bathroom and one in the sleeping area.

The price was great and the staff and guests seemed like family there. I loved that. The place was older and could use remodeling. The room was basic. All of the drawers and cabinets were open when I went in. I understand that the have to spray for bugs, but that wasn't a good sign. I killed two roaches too. So all of my stuff stayed elevated.

I didn’t stay. The rooms where nasty. It smelled bad, there were dog hair everywhere. The beds wasn’t made etc, and the workers could careless! I was trying to get a refund and they declined my refund. I paid for two rooms which as a total of $205. Hotels.com didn’t refund me either. I stayed on the phone on hold for almost 1 hour and 25 and the line was disconnected on their end. I tried back 3 times. I am calling back this morning as well! This is unacceptable!!! I need a refund

We arrived at the hotel, and the person who works behind the desk was just standing outside. Took us a few minutes to get his attention. When he finally came inside and got to the computer, he stood there fake typing for 3 minutes and then just said "I can't check you in". My family and I had just been driving for 13 hours so obviously this isnt what we needed to hear. He didnt offer us any alternative, or try to manually check us in. Just stood there staring at us. We ended up just leaving and had to find another hotel. I will NEVER book with a Welcome Suites EVER again.

They rented my room that was already paid for. There were obvious deug users and dealer as soon as you pulled in and got out of the car. Im waiting on a refund from Expedia. If i was a company booking and putting my name and reputation out there i would definitely have a handful of people stay at the facility and give reviews before using my name.

The young man at the front desk was very helpful and polite. It was not his fault that the room had several things broken, only one roll of toilet paper, no toiletries, no tissues (which I asked and they had none), unclean "kitchen" area. The hallway reeked of marijuana. I would not stay there again.

You get what you pay for!!
You really get what you pay for. The first day we checked into the place the tv was broken off the tv stand i told management about it as soon as i seen it was broken. He told me that he knew about the television and that they were waiting on a shipment of new televisions and that i would be the first to get one. Never got television!
There was only one dresser drawer to put clothes into. That's clothes for 2 adults and 4 kids... And 4 hangers in the closet.
They DO NOT offer to clean rooms or ask if you need any clean towels or a change of sheets.
THEY ONLY CLEAN ROOMS ONCE A WEEK. When i asked to use a broom the manager (Amous) told me i couldn't use the broom so i waited on shift change and the younger gentleman didn't have no problem with me using a broom and dustpan. I didn't ask for a mop i just hand washed the floor. Alright now for the repairs i done while we stayed. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain so i pulled the pee-trap off the bottom of the sink and pulled out enough hair to make 10 wigs. The toilet seat was loose almost completely off so i tightened it back up. The legs on the table needed tightened. Shower head fell off while the girlfriend was in the shower left a knot on her head for a day or two. Well i think that covers about everything in the room. One stair well had f*** you on the wall i asked Amous the manager if he was looking for a painter that i was experienced and i used to maintenance three motels in Caseyville. Over booked
I paid for the reservation 3 weeks before going there. I got there & they said that I didn't have a room because they over booked. It was a night mare.
