The property was great with very nice staff on site! We loved the quiet hours. Beach was very convenient and we never had to fight for a spot there was plenty of room even on crowded days. The ABC store was very close and dinning within walking distance. My family and I would definitely stay again.

A little older and signs of her age, but exceptionally clean and cared for. All rooms have an excellent view, especially on Friday night after sun down. PLAN to be on your balcony, with a drink in hand, on Friday evening just after dark. Smaller independent without some of the amenities of the larger surrounding chain hotels, but the stuff they don't have is the stuff you would use anyway, so you wont miss it. I would say this place is best suited to Adults w/o young children. There were plent of families while we were there and ther was NOT a problem, just likely a little harder to keep them entertained. Walls are a little thin and you can annoy neighbors easily if you aren't reasonably conscientious. Our room was perfect for 2. SMALL beach area in front of hotel is a bit busy, but it's Waikiki, and you get a discount for Umbrella and Beach chair rental (highly recommend) Would recommend to a friend, Would do again.

The cleanliness was absolutely awful.
Rooms were severely outdated. 10 inch tvs.
Old couches, tiny beds with uncomfortable mattresses.
Dirty and dusty. Fridge was dirty with dried up foods stained about. Dirty utensils. Just completely awful all around.
Very cheap with the house keeping supplies.
Had to literally beg for toiletries.

One elevator was out of service the construction was loud and woke you up every morning at 8 AM the pigeons over took the deck and was covered poop was a very disruptive stay not quite the vacation I had hpoed

Beware of the parking scam.
I checked in and got my key handed to me as it was later at night, and was told to come back in the morning. walked back to my car and was told if I parked at the hotel I would be towed. Was then told to park across the street. i was charged $80.00 just for overnight parking. then I still had to pay 35.00 usd to park the next day. I think they are running some kind of scam with the parking lot across the street Other than that the hotel was O.K.

The room was cute, full kitchen, and we had a nice view of the beach. The pull-out was noisy & not comfortable, but still a great place if you plan to stay in Waikiki & do tours. If you rent a car, parking is very limited (~16 spots) that you can't reserve ahead or even by phone once you arrive. Off-site parking is inconvenient & pricey ($79 per night at Hale Koa).
In hindsight, since we rented a car & wanted to explore the island, we should have stayed outside Waikiki, but again, if you want to walk around Waikiki, this is a great option.

My room was severely dated and it was dirty! The couch was stained, the patrician was an accordion patrician that did not attach to anything so it was utterly useless. There was cans of paint in the closets, cracks in the wall that weren’t repaired. The AC in the 2nd bedroom was leak brown stuff from it. I also killed about 6 roaches when I was there. I had a clogged toilet (1 bathroom) and called the front desk because there was no plunger maintenance never showed so I called back 7 hours later because we needed to use the bathroom and they said they would have to see if they could “find” a plunger. The parking is horrible.

It was very nice! Although i expected a hotel and it was not i was living the life at the property. Great view from my balcony, right on the beach, easy access to many shops and restaurants at or near Waikiki. If i needed to go back to Honolulu i would stay there again!

Efficient Condo hotel space - central located
The facility is easy to get to, and close to the beach. This is not a hotel - but more like a condo hotel option. The front desk was very helpful, friendly, efficient, and professional. The main facility is fine - but there are areas where parts are dated in the room/space (i.e., furniture a bit older; limited power support in the room, etc). These were minor and not a distraction for us. The only issue we faced was that while there were 2 elevators - only 1 worked the entire +9 days we were there (and that one did break down one afternoon, which was repaired that evening - not a trivial issue since it a 15 floor facility - and not easy to move your bags up/down). We would stay there again without question.

This property is in a great location, right on the beach. Our room was smaller than anticipated but was clean except for the 2 roaches I saw in the cupboard. They charged us $35 a day to park, which is crazy. The employees were nice and accommodating. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. I would stay here again but would not get a studio again, too small. Only one elevator was working so the wait for an elevator good be long in the mornings, but we were there in the off season so that would be the time they would want to replace the elevators.

It was a great place but its complicated to get in and you have to have a garage clicker plus a little thing to scan every time you go up and down the elivator.
Theres a 200 and something dollar cleaning fee they charge you when you arrive, which is absurd. Another $35 a night to park in their garage and theres no where near here to park so suck it up and pay it. Our blinds in our room wouldnt close all the way, luckily we were on 9th floor so maybe nobody could see in. Had a lot of issues with the tv through out our stay. It is in a nice area, very pretty, close to the beach and close to all the shops. Over all good place

First, the property is clean but if you’re staying for longer period of time please be prepared to clean your room. Even though this hotel charge additional housekeeping fees separate from you hotel fees!! Which you have to ask for garbage bags, extra linens, coffee and etc.. Also this property is right on the beach so if you’re wanted to be close this location is key! Also the room can be more updated. It does have washer/dryer which works perfect and hotel provides Tide detergent (powder) if allergic bring your own detergent! The only issue I had was no housekeeping the entire stay, rooms need to be updated, including beds!! I’ll be visiting Hawaii again just at better hotel especially for the price I’d pay!!

The location is fantastic. Right on the beach, close to restaurants, and shopping. For the beach it stated chairs and umbrellas available. I thought for free, you have to pay for them. I wasn't informed there are fireworks every Friday and I missed them. The outrigger hotel is connected by a walk way and has good food. The studio was small and no place to sit to watch TV except the bed. Overall I would book it again. We had a great time.

We felt like we won the lottery by finding the only condominium located on popular Waikiki beach!!! The location is PERFECT, the accommodations were beautiful and clean, the staff very accommodating and friendly. However, our particular unit had several flaws…
1. All of the screens and shades kept falling down so the unit was constantly barraged by sunlight which was beautiful but made sleep very difficult and made it hard to keep the unit cool. Maintenance came immediately and apologize profusely, telling me they were aware of the issue and that the owner had ordered replacements, but the new window accommodations weren’t scheduled to be installed until AFTER we checked out.
2.The freezer leaked. Aside from being annoyed by mopping up the floor several times a day, this wouldn’t have been an issue if I didn’t have chronic neck pain and relied on ice packs to sleep - ice packs that never formed because the freezer was constantly leaking. Again, the maintenance man came every time I called, adjusting the freezer seal, but he couldn’t permanently repair it until the new seal arrived which again, would not come until AFTER we departed.
Aside from some other inconveniences like the very uncomfortable couch (that only sat 2 even though we were a party of three) and a sagging-bottom chair on the patio, the accommodations were great. Just be prepared to spend a lot of extra money once you arrive for things like parking ($559 for 1 week) and pack things like your own coffee

Great place to stay with great location. It was right on the beach and adjacent to a park. High end shopping and restaurants were very close by. We couldn't find these items and did not think of asking for it: cooking oil, salt/pepper and dish washing soap. An ABC store was a 3 min walk so we just bought it.

The room we stayed the first night had plumbing, electrical, no working blinds and no curtains and mold. We were transferred to another room and was infested with roaches. Both units were inhabitable and we must have our full refund. Please call me ASAP to discuss further. I might need to call the health department and the customer protection authorities. I do want to say the staff at the reception area were very nice. Thank you.

Wow what a place! An older building but well maintained and managed. Not super luxurious but simple and elegant like from the 1960s. Clean, spacious, airy room with incredible view of ocean and hills. Super-helpful staff. Easy parking. Laundry facilities in room. Kitchen amenities. Walking distance to pretty much everything in Waikiki area.

Let me start this off by saying that this hotel is in a perfect location and is within walking distance of everything in Waikiki, and is right on the beach. The staff are super friendly (except for the mask patrol security guard). Here ends the positivity for this place. Disclaimer: I do not know whether or not this is directly the hotel’s fault, but something has to be said. I am not one to leave a negative review, and typically let a lot of things slide when traveling. That being said: BEWARE!!!!!!!!! My wife and I were abruptly woken up at 4:30 ON THE DOT EVERY SINGLE MORNING by either some sort of construction, employees or guests loudly parading up and down the hallways, and this morning some sort of water spraying coupled with the sound of a man choking on his own saliva. The windows are not sealed properly, so there is no noise barrier between you and everything happening outside. Whenever anyone is outside, it sounds like they are actually in the hotel room. I am not kidding when I say that you can literally hear someone having a conversation two floors away from you. The listing fails to neglect that this hotel sits on the busiest beach access in Waikiki, which also leads to a very noisy night up until about 2 a.m. The bathroom (most importantly: the shower) was disgusting, and the hot water was not warm enough. I spent almost $5,000 for a 10 day vacation, and this was very VERY underwhelming (as far as the hotel is concerned. Great trip though!)

What’s not to like. It is on the ocean with a spectacular view. The lanai has 2 full size mirrors that reflect beautiful scenery in 3d. The beach is right there and it is conveniently located amongst many fine restaurants.
The only downside was the central ventilation which was loud and interfered the ability to have a good night sleep. The vent grate was dusty and dirty which may have accounted for the noisy ventilation. With a set of ear plugs this accommodation was thumbs up and 4-5 star deserving.

If you get the one or two bedroom with an ocean view it is absolutely the best accommodation we have ever experienced and we travel a lot! The building is very unique- it’s right on the beach in Waikiki . You have view of Diamondhead on one side of the building and then the other side another view of the ocean and Honolulu! Very quiet elderly people. Sometimes you do hear the homeless screaming at night but they quiet down as soon as you say you’re calling the cops. Kayla the receptionist was fantastic- sweet ,bright ,extremely patient, and I can’t say enough about her! The gentleman was very nice as well. We definitely will go back and not go anywhere else for sure because I know we could not find a place as reasonable or convenient! You don’t even have to rent a car -just walk everywhere beautiful shops restaurants galore and -you can get an Uber within two minutes no matter where you want to go!

Things not always as advertised.
First off I would start by saying the location is wonderful! You are 100 feet from a sandy beach. The room conditions although plain were clean. You pay a housekeeping fee. We never had housekeeping not once. Their justification is that it was a condo and they do not clean because of covid. Our washer and dryer did not work and we were told that they were fixing it on Wednesday. Wednesday came and went and although we thought someone came to fix it they did not. The dishwasher did not work either. If you needed toilet paper, garbage bags or any other supplies you have to go ask at the desk. One more thing. A one bedroom condo is not a bedroom. It is basically has a bed and it is only separated by a partition. So not a private bedroom at all.

I booked the trip for our anniversary. The pictures look a whole lot better than what the hotel actually is. I booked a ocean view room, we didn’t get that, we got a room that overlooked a park and the back of a bunch of palm trees, only had a very very small partial view of the ocean. The bed frame was two single beds put together with a queen mattress on top, frames squeaked every time you rolled over, wasn’t solid at all. It seems like the employees stalk you around and constantly harass you about wearing a mask. I understand rules and respect people’s space, but when I’m the only one walking around outside at 5 A.M and I’m followed and confronted about a mask, It’s absolutely ridiculous. If you’re looking for nice, this isn’t it. If you want a place to rinse off and lay your head then you’ll be fine.

Perfect location friendly staff and amazing views and condominium. I loved emerging about this place. Only con was that you have to pay an extra $35/day to park in their parking garage. The noise from the constitution didn’t bother us as we were gone most of the time. I loved that the unit had all tore basic needs to cool and serve a meal. It was like being at home but only on a beautiful island over looking the beach

I liked that we were very close to the beach and the room was nice. During covid there is no house keeping you have to take your garbage down to the basement. And the wait for the elevators is really long because of the two person limit. But the most thing I did not like was the construction! 5 days out of the week I was unable to use the water in my kitchen or bathroom between 9-5. And if I wanted to come back to the room and take a nap it was extremely loud! Drilling and hammering that starts at 7am and lasts until about 5pm.

This place was absolutely amazing. The building was being renovated while we were staying there, but with the location of the building we were doing so much outside that we didn’t even notice. The room had a beautiful view of not only the city, but the ocean as well. We were able to watch the sunset from our lanai every night. The staff was friendly and was always there to answer my questions. I would stay here every time I come back to Hawaii!!!

Overall it was a good experience. I didn't realize it didn't have a pool, but that was my fault. The TV's were a pain to get to work and they didn't want to come to the room to fix anything due to COVID restrictions. They eventually did fix them. Several blinds were broken which made the dining area very hot during the day. The front desk has strange hours so if something happens before 9am or after 6pm there's no one to contact.

Waikiki Shore was a great place to stay and I would stay there again.
Very convenient location, nice views of palm trees and the ocean. The building is located right on the beach. There is an outdoor shower by the beach entrance to wash off sand after walking on the beach.
Our room was clean and nicely furnished. It was great to have a kitchenette and a dining area, especially traveling with kids. Also, a washer/dryer in unit is a huge plus.
I would highly recommend Waikiki Shore to anyone.

Best-Kept Secret in Waikiki
What an unexpected surprise. The hotel location was beachfront and the room was spectacular with ocean views on three sides. We were upgraded to a deluxe ocean front suite, and the room did not disappoint with spectacular views, a large, well equipped kitchen (complete with rice cooker, baking dishes and utensils). Great security with a FOB required for elevator and lobby access.

Great View from Balcony!
We have stayed at the Castle Waikiki Shore several times before and often return because it is the only condo on the beach in Waikiki. The suite we stayed at was spacious with two bedrooms, two baths, livingroom and full kitchen, with a balcony view that was fabulous! The unit also has a washer and dryer, and flat screen TVs in each room! The staff was very helpful. And we found it most convenient to come and go through the Outrigger Reef next door. We will be back!

Our family stayed here in 2 rooms, we had a one bedroom apartment on the Penthouse floor, and the others were on the 8th floor, in a 2 bedroom apartment. Loved the service, views, amenities. Our Penthouse unit was newly decorated, and our son slept on a fold out sofa bed. Worked well, there was a fold out door to give a little more privacy. The 2 bedroom unit worked well, as the 2 grandchildren had their own room. Was a little expensive, would like to have stayed longer but too costly. Right on the beach and in a nice quieter neighbourhood yet minutes from all the major hotels and shops.

Room itself was great, as was service. Location was fairly central to dining and activities. Beach itself was disappointing: jagged coral bottom, gritty coarse sand/gravel mix, steep gradient, and no real surf.
