One cold Sunday night
Our one-night stay was comfortable and just what we needed to complete a longer trip. I wish there had been coffee in the lobby in the morning, but otherwise, overall, a pleasant stay.

LOVE the Omni Berkshire Place!!!
This was our second time to stay at the Omni Berkshire Place--and it was even better than the first time! Excellent service. Friendly, helpful staff. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Wonderful location--relatively quiet (by NYC standards), yet close to Radio City, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Central Park, and more. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Buyer beware

Great, but a disclaimer about pet friendly
Overall, the stay was great. The hotel was clean and centrally located, and the staff was very friendly. My only complaint is that they charged a $175 fee for bringing a pet. I didn't see this mentioned on Hotels.com, so it was a surprise when we got there. They also have restrictions on what types of pets you can bring, so you might want to call ahead of time.

The Omni is a great place to stay. Unlike many hotels in NYC, the Omni offers well designed, spacious rooms. Hence, we were really able to enjoy our stay without tripping over each other.

Good location , but…
Hotel needs an update. The rooms have been updated. The lobby and slow elevators could use an upgrade. For the expensive pricing of over 5-600 a night , no coffee machine, no courtesy water , slow internet which you have to pay for to upgrade if you want it to actually work AND if you are even 20 min early for your check in , you will be asked to pay $75 to get access to room earlier. No customer courtesy type of allowances other hotels make. So while the room was large and clean, location was excellent, the hotel doesn’t leave you with a feeling of value and courtesy customer service.

I had two different booking around the new year time and after getting to the hotel, I had to cancel the other booking after spending first night there.
They charged me for one night for the second booking but no regret.

Usually wonderful, but this time…
I’ve stayed here several times and have loved this hotel.
This time, the restaurant service was horrific. I s/w the Asst Mgr who did his best to make it right. The next night, after we were asleep, a fellow delivering room service (we did not order room service) knocked on our door, woke us (me w a child) up and actually OPENED THE DOOR! Fortunately the latch that allows the door to open only a few inches was in place.
My confidence in this lovely hotel is shaken.

Simply perfect! We will definitely be coming back for another stay.
It was so convenient and a close walk to everything we had on our list of places to go. (Made our trip so easy!) We checked in a tad earlier than expected and the staff were kind enough to check us in earlier. (Complete life saver with a toddler and after a 2½hr drive)
Literally a perfect stay and we cant wait to come back!

Omni for Christmas in NYC
The Omni Berkshire was a great place to enjoy Christmas in New York. It is only a block away from Rockefeller Center. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The bar is also very lively and has great drinks. I stayed in a terrace room on the 21st floor and it has amazing views, well worth it in my opinion.

This location is the perfect location for true shopping in NY. Especially at Christmas time. The staff was amazing. Our room was ready early. We never waited for a cab and the size of the hotel, in my opinion was perfect. It wasn’t so large that you were just a number and it wasn’t so boutique that you missed out on the important amenities. My only complaint was the on-site restaurant. It was extremely slow and the food was meh… not up to par with the Omni brand. However, it would not deter me for staying here again. I mean come on… Cartier is literally its neighbor 😍

This hotel exceeded my high expectations. The room is elegant and seems to be brand new. In this 24 hour city, the Berkshire place is an oasis of solitude and quiet. Staff was very nice. The room has some nice features like beautiful, rare granite counters in the bathroom and a powerful showerhead. You don’t always get that in New York. I loved the smell of the soaps in the bathroom, tangerine! Great luxury value for the price I paid. Only complaint was I had hoped to get a bit of an early check-in, but my room wasn’t ready until 3 PM. On the other hand, when I did return, they had my check in all ready for me, the key in the envelope just handed to me and off I went.

The Pros: Great staff. Almost all helpful, friendly & polite. The gym was open 24/7. Hotel was clean. Bed was good. Blackout drapes were good & there was minimal LED light in the rooms. The location was around everything you wanted to do in Midtown. The cons: overpriced for what you get. It was noisy inside and out. I could hear the next room’s baby crying. Street noise was audible even 14 floors up. The soundproofing was nonexistent. If you stay there, bring heavy duty earplugs & your white noise machine.

Great location, hotel room was a good size for Manhattan. Not great facilities, only the one restaurant / bar which opened for breakfast, but then was closed until 5pm. Not great quality amenities in the room, and had to order water through room service, not automatically there, plus no minibar in the room.

Staff was delightful. Excellent location especially if you're into shopping for luxury brands and museums. Great transportation hub, good value for New York. I'd def stay here again. Only suggestion is that room didn't have much style but was comfortable and modern.

Check in was smooth, the room was very clean, housekeeping in passing was friendly, the rooms are pretty modern but the hotel in general has a cool very old historic vibe, such as the molding in the rooms and the classic elevator trim. Very nice and our price was was competitive. It will always be one that I look into for NYC trips.

Honest review, the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, I paid for a skyline view which was just a view of a bunch of offices in front of us. No fridge in our room either. I was more than willing to pay for the view that I did not get.

Lobby needs a 21st century makeover. Check in was fast, but some misinformation created a problem at check out. Elevators and halls demonstrate age. Walking to my room, staff break room door is held open with a dirty towel. Room is outdated and decorative pillow on the bed is musty and unwashed. Towels in the bathroom were disheveled, suggesting they were not changed out from prior guest. Bed was ok. Not uncomfortable, but certainly not comfortable. Lobby restaurant is convenient, but food service is tragically slow. At check out, Nilton was the most obnoxious, argumentative and dismissive ass I've ever met in the hospitality industry. He talks over guests without listening. Not service oriented. Ruined an already poor experience. Not recommended, especially at the prices charged and double billed.

Terrible staff!
Check in was terrible, the manager was incredibly rude and aggressive. The room was very basic and uncomfortable for a 4 star property, this should be 3 star. I've stayed at Crown plaza which is much better. The manager was unprofessional and I checked out a day early due to her bad attitude. Will not recommend this hotel or even consider staying in the future. I wrote to the general manager after my stay and had no reply. Terrible staff, unprofessional and rude attitudes. Dated and unwelcoming hotel. This hotel ruined my stay in NYC!

Fantastic stay! Big, spacious room. Clean and comfortable. Expended our checkout until 2:00 the next day. Great gym and terrace on the 17th floor with a nice view. Convenient location. Will definitely stay there again.

This is the fourth time I've stayed at the Berkshire Place. I love the location, and the rooms are clean and reasonably priced. Didn't give 5 stars for those missing extras, like breakfast room service and an in-room fridge. Still, I'm sure I'll be back as the good far outweighs missing those things!

The doormen were outstanding, really helpful. It’s a great location for midtown activities (MoMA is superclose). But here’s what takes a star off of everything. Ridiculous extra fees. Javits Center Fee? $30 Destination Fee? What the hell…and being charged $12 for a tea and a coffee that I came down and got myself and took back up in paper cups. The worst motel on any highway will give you free coffee these days. I did not go looking for a luxury hotel (which this is not) I was actually trying to find something reasonable. This room started out around $300 and ended up costing over $500. Shame on you, Expedia, shame on you Omni. I’m fed up and will avoid staying overnight in NYC for the forseeable future.
