The woman at the front desk told me to book online so I did using Expedia, which I told her I was going to do. (I used this app to find a pet-friendly hotel.) As soon as I paid, she asked me how many people were in my party and if I had a pet. I told her the number and said that I had a cat with me. She then gave me a pet policy, which stated that there was a pet fee, to sign. When I asked how much the pet fee was, she told me it was $150, which was more than the price of the room! I told her I was no longer interested in staying here because of the ridiculous price and she said that she would cancel the room, assuring me that I would not be charged since I did not even check in. Needless to say, she lied, they charged me, and Expedia will not give me a refund because the hotel "has a strict policy".

Did not disappoint
The hotel’s staff were so friendly and welcoming. Check in and out was smooth. Breakfast was A+. Starr is definitely an asset to the Hilton. We enjoyed our stay.

It says on Expedia that there was a bar but what it doesnt say is the bars closed. How are you going to have a bar and not use it??? Just silly. And the smell of the rooms was hard on my senses. It was quiet though. So thats a plus.

Entryway is clean and in good repair, welcoming, and smells good. The desk clerks were all friendly and helpful.
Did not use the breakfast/bar service.
The hallways, elevators and rooms are clean but wore out and in some areas run down/damaged. Definitely in need of repairs/remodeling. Not what is expected of the Hilton brand.

Was ok for a quick night. Old and outdated room. A roach scurried when we turned on the bathroom light and my 7yr old wouldn’t go anywhere after that. Called for extra pillows and a “very irritated” front desk man said they were out. Bed was lumpy. Very disappointing for the price, decor and area.

For a Hilton, this property was very underwhelming. The restaurant was lackluster, the building and rooms look like they have not been updated since the late 90's and the beds felt as if they were that old as well.

Breakfast was exceptional. We really enjoyed it. We had issues with our key card not working 3 times! The MOD (Kim Reid 58005) went above and beyond. She tried fixing the card reader then moved us to another room. She was very friendly and helpful. We tipped her $20!

Camped out in the Lobby
When we returned to the room for the night, the door lock was jammed and would not respond to the key card. It took 4 hrs for them to get the door open while we sat in the lobby. We asked about getting a room credit for our inconvenience. We were comped **breakfast** but we were too tired to really enjoy it since we were in the lobby until nearly 2am.

OVER PRICED
THE HOTEL WAS OVER PRICED...IT WAS NOT PEAK VACATION TIME...PEAK HOLIDAY TIME ...ONLY THE WEEKEND...FOR $403 2 NIGHTS...NO FREE BREAKFAST...ROOM CLEANING UPON REQUEST...SHORT STAFFED!!!!!!

Dirty Rooms
The room was dirty and the carpet was pealing off the floor and walls near the bathroom. There were stains on the walls like someone threw a bottle of wine on the walls. The sheets were not fully covering the mattress and the beds were poorly mad. I tried to change rooms but the other room was just as bad, so I stuck it out and stayed in my original room.

Person at the restaurant was rude. After serving our drinks and providing a menue he ignored us the rest of the evening. We finally when to a local pizza place to eat.

The nice gentlemen that checked us in was great. But the room was dirty, bed was not made neatly or properly, shower rubber was coming off around the door so door wouldn'tseal properly, soap scum build-up and the worst was all the black hair on the bathroom floor. I overpaid on this room. We stayed at a wyngate for half the price the night before and it was spotless, clean and got free breakfast. We would of had to pay for breakfast at this hilton. You would think paying 213.00 for the room you could of gotten a free breakfast. Won't stay at a Hilton again.

I didn’t like I had to pay $230 for a room and still had to pay for breakfast. I have gotten rooms at $100 and I’ve gotten free breakfast. Just expected a little more.

There was a snake in the indoor pool when my kids tried to go swimming. There was no complementary breakfast and I paid $552 for two nights for nothing special at all.

When we went into our room it looked like a teenager put the room together. Nothing was nicely put in there or welcoming. It looked like someone had laid on top of the bed spread and the bathroom just had towels thrown into it.
I have stayed at this hotel 10 times and this was probably my last time. It used to be extremely nice, comfortable and more importantly quiet. We heard kids running and screaming all night and had to turn a speaker on with white noise to try to block the noises out.

Very unhappy family
I got to the hotel and I booked a 2 bedroom suite, and that was not the room I was given I was told that was an error with the booking site, I was given a king suite, which did not have enough beds for my family. The room was dirty, it had spots on the wall, one of the lamps was completely missing the button to turn it on. The people in the rooms on the 4th floor above us we had to call the front desk about a couple times becaue it was so loud. The pool was unkept there were no towels, the bathroom door could not even close. For the amount of money I was charge I expect and deserve a much higher quality room. I am very unhappy with the stay here.

Probably choose a different hotel next time.
Good for the most part. Got the 2 room king suite. Nice room. Very thin walls/ceiling. Heard every step above us. No breakfast for the money you spend. 13$ per person for breakfast is a little much.
Evening front desk was nice, and welcoming. Saturday morning... not so much. Will probably bevstaying somewhere else next time we come to town. Which is quite often.

The hotel is supposed to be pet friendly, but after a visit to a animal hospital, we learned our dog consumed a heavy dose of THC while outside in the grass.
The room itself was old, bathtub was stained, the carpet in the room and hallways had stains or what looked like dried puke.
The staff did show some compassion for our dog, and we understand they cant control other peoples habits, but no effort was made to make it right.
We will NEVER stay there again.

Overnight stay
Hotel was comfortable for an over night stay. Rooms are kind of dated, also was a little musty. Front desk staff was not overly joyed that the room was booked through a 3rd party.

Dated hotel in need of updates, disappointing.
Becoming very tired. No updates for many many years. We have stayed here probably 100 nights over the years. Our request for a high floor and adjoining rooms was not even considered and no response from message sent thru hotels.com. Very disappointing. Staff very nice. Seeing Star in the breakfast area always the BEST part of the hotel, and even more this time.

Uncomfortable stay
I booked the option for breakfast (3 people), upon arrival informed no breakfast. Had to pay for breakfast at a restaurant .
Hotel was loud, guests ran up and down the halls, trash thrown in hallway , you could hear the guests in the rooms next to us and above us.

Disappointed
I tend to stay on Hilton Garden Inns when I can. This location was under par when compared with other HGI. Breakfast was downright awful. The property, overall, seemed dated.

Very Disappointing
I reserved a King room and recieved a queen room. When I complained, the front desk did nothing. No apologies at all. The beds were hard and very uncomfortable. The place smelled. Not the Hilton I expected. Very disapointed.

Pay close attention to the Pet Fee!!
Been using hotels .com for a long time and I am usually happy with my booking.
I used the pet friendly hotel feature.
Booked the room at a good rate and when I walked in with my dog they charged me a 75.00 fee .At this point what could I do.
The hotel was rundown and not very clean.
We stay and leaving I get hit with another 100 dollar charge for my dog.
The pet fee was more than the room.
If I am going to pay 300 to stay in a room i would expect it to at least have a clean and comfortable feel. We will never stay in a Hilton garden inn again. If the fee is more then the room, that needs to not be fine print. I could have boarded my dog for a week for 175 dollars.

The worst weekend of my travel history. Don’t believe the hotel posting stating that they are pet friendly. They definitely didn’t when they had my dogs removed by the police and placed into police custody until returned. Before that threatened to have animal control take my dogs. Will never stay again.

A handicapped accessible room should not be on the second floor per fire safety.
There was not adequate towels or coffee supplies for the number of people staying in the room.

I had to have five days' stay to get the room cleaned. They did not have coffee cups, offered soup bowls, and the fire alarm went off TWICE in the middle of the night.

Dissatisfied for Expense
Attempted to Check-in at 2:30, was informed that my room was not ready. Returned at 5, was again told my room wasn't ready. Ordered food at the restaurant, while I waited. By the time we were finished eating, it was bed-time; No time to really get acquainted with the room. The Herman Miller is a welcomed addition. Restaurant prices are acceptable, but higher than they should be.

Horrible stay
The guests upstairs was loud and had kids running around making it hard to enjoy our stay. We had to call front desks several times throughout our weekend stay for the same incident.

The property was well kept inside and out. There were several baseball teams staying at the hotel, however the environment was very quiet. I know the workforce is suffering and short staffed due to the pandemic, but there was a toilet plunger that remain in the hallway near elevator for 2 days and I don't understand why the cleaning staff didn't remove it ?????

The staff was excellent, the check in and check out. We were greeted with smiles, had questions and they bout went far beyond their duty to help us. The room was clean, comfortable bed. For a continental brkfst it was nice. It was centrally located near restaurants and shopping mall. We wld definitely stay there again.

Very comfortable stay. Nice quiet location with excellent adjacent dining options, but easily near enough to go and enjoy St. Louis attractions. It was nice to have the bar open in the evening as well. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Advised them of a small maintenance issue with our room and it was addressed immediately.

This hotel only had 3 luggage carriers and we had to wait for one. At checkout there was no one at the front desk for an extended period of time and someone from food service came over to help. She had a mask around her neck but did not have the mask on. I asked her to please put it on and she refused saying she was not on duty and when I pointed out Hilton's own policy on their sign she became very unprofessional in her attitude and demeanor and indicated she was ready to help the next guest!! SHE NEVER PUT ON HER MASK! Totally unacceptable guest service. Hilton's posted sign says that all staff and guests sre required to wear masks in public areas of the hotel. They were also not enforcing this with guests. Very dissapointing. The fire alarm also went off on our floor while we were there. The alarm eventually was turned off and I called down to the front desk to see if it was a false alarm and was told I could do whatever I wanted...stay or go, and the person was not very courteous. In my mind this was also not an appropriate response to a guest. We have stayed at this Hilton many, many times and have always enjoyed our stay. Given my experience this visit, I will seriously be considering other alternatives. Hilton Corporate needs to invest in some additional guest services training at this location in my opinion.

Perfect for Travel sports
Very nice, easy access to interstate. Stayed for my A travel soccer tournament very easy access to the sports complex. Great location for baseball, softball, or soccer.
