Hampton Inn Midtown Phoenix is a nice property but limited dining options. The room was spacious, the bed extremely comfortable and the staff very pleasant. We chose the property because of its proximity to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Not impressed. I stayed here for the proximity to medical centers/appointments.
Positives:
Quiet
Clean
Bed/pillows comfortable
Proximity to medical centers.
Negatives:
Ice machine on 1st floor only.
No food close by. We doordashed.
Exorbitant prices for bottled water and snacks. Bring your own.
Rooms are small. Bath is small.
A few smiles would not kill the employees.
I used rewards for my stay, otherwise I would have been annoyed at the negatives.

There was no hot water, outlets on only one side of the bed. No free parking, in fact you have to fill out a parking contract with an independent vendor to park. We left after all that and got refunded.

Hotel is falling apart. Wallpaper pealing off the wall, towell rack fell off the wall, soap bottles leaking everwhere, lights flicker like a horror movie, staff was rude, breakfast was exttemely limited.

Don’t stay here
The front desk person was very nice. Once we got into the room it was horrible. It was 80 and never cooled off the blind wouldn’t go all the way down (which would have been fine if you weren’t on the ground floor). The wall paper was falling off the wall the shower pipe was falling off the beds are so hard we could have just slept on the floor. But the worst thing was when I turned the light on at 3 in the morning I found old stains on the sheets. It looked to be old blood stains. It was horrible.

Poor Quality and Dirty
This was by far the worst quality Hampton Inn we have ever stayed at. The first room we checked into was filthy. There was chunks of random things on the capet, hair in the bathtub, a dirty wash cloth on the floor under the vanity(very visible), and stuff crusted on the night stand surfaces. We complained and they moved us to a second room, again it looked like the floors weren't swept or vacuumed, there was toothpaste or something splattered all over the bathroom mirror and the ironing board was so gross my husband wouldn't use it for his shirt. Both bathtubs had a steady stream of water running constantly because both were broken! And the second room's heater didn't work. Both rooms had a wierd musty smell that wasn't very pleasant. The hallway carpets on all of the floors are atrocious, they are lifted up and wrinkly, creating a tripping hazard, and beyond filthy. The 2 gals we spoke with at the front desk were very polite, but the issues aren't in their control. When we booked the hotel it also said parking included on this website, it has since changed to parking available and states in the fine print that its $10 per night. We were told it recently changed to fee parking and there was nothing they can do about a 3rd party booking. Only positive we can add is that my husband said the breakfast was pretty good.

Had a 6:30am appointment at St. Joseph's hospital and wanted something close. This was perfect. The staff was very friendly, our room was clean and although we didn't use a lot of the amenities, if we stay again, I'm sure we will. Check in was quick and easy. Just a very pleasant stay.

This particular building is older and it shows. It would be helpful to have the fitness facility open 24 hours for those whose travel doesn't allow for the leisure hours of a 6:00 am start to workout.

Soap, shampoo, etc. are in wall mounted dispensers, which are mounted so high that top of bottle is almost 5.5 feet high. Due to recent shoulder surgery, almost impossible to reach top of pump dispenser on bottle to get soap, lotion, etc. These should be mounted so product can be dispensed without reaching up.
Carpeting in room badly frayed where it meets tile.

My wife and I stayed at this Hamptons for three days. Our first night, we had to call front desk which no one picked up. So we went to front desk to complain on people above us on second floor. They were making to much noise disrupting our sleep. We were later told that it was a high school baseball team that was staying at the hotel. Luckily on our second day we had asked if we could move to a different room and manager on site was able to help and move us to fourth floor. Which we appreciated very much. The hotel is located in a great area, there’s a lot of light in parking lot which makes it feel safe. There’s plenty of places to eat and explore nearby. Breakfast at hotel was decent, I was surprised that breakfast changed each day. The entire staff was helpful throughout the three days. I would like to give a shout out to front desk Annali. She was very nice, and professional. I will be back to this Hamptons soon.

The toilet of our room had pee stuck to it, the shower didn't have shower gel, the freezer in the room didn't work and I'm a breastfeeding mom and I had to put the milk away, my pants got paint stains, because they were painting the entrance, the coffee was cold, there was no oatmeal at breakfast, they did not give us water for the room and to the previous guest they did.

Hottest day of year in Phoenix and its small
Pool wasn’t open due to remodeling. I could go up a mile to a sister hotel for pool but frankly I was so hot out I just stayed in room when not at hospital with my mom.

Hampton Inns are almost always comfortable and clean. This one fit the reputation. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly.
The pool was being remodeled, so we had the option to go to a different hotel to swim. I'll keep it on n mind for future visits to Phoenix

The location and cleanliness and staff was great. However, the two days we stayed Friday and Saturday breakfast at 7:30 and 9 am there was not enough food. After a 20 min wait for eggs, bread, sausage, bagels, coffee no fruit no yogurt only cereal with no milk and no decaf or caffeine coffee and no cups and spoons for utensils the replacement portions were only a quarter filled. Sadly only one staff member there to deal with it all. Fill the food containers all the way to avoid this and this was not an out of the ordinary weekend.

What I didn’t like lady at the front desk charged card said the amount would drop. It dropped until 5 days later, manager did not call when I tried to approach and solve situation. This young lady was very rude and not helpeful.

Great vibe, great location, clean. Great amenities and delicious breakfast. A couple Minor inconveniences like a broken ac in the room which was quickly resolved switching over to a different room. And front entrance was closed due to being remodeled/painted making it difficult for rideshare and deliveries.

I was expecting the motel to be cleaner. The halways look dirty and the rooms flooring looks old. The bedding looks old. The desk clerk gave us the wrong number with our door entry cards, but we were able to find the right room. She is a new associate of your's. The breakfast was nice. A good variety of breakfast food. Very convenient for patients of Barrows.

Unfortunately our room had a few issues. The carpet was coming up, which after I requested maintenance, it was promptly fixed, just an unsatisfactory condition we walked into. The bathroom door was loose and needed repair, we never did get it repaired. The bathrooms in this facility do not have an exhaust fan, making it very difficult to shower one after another and have a clear mirror. Also take note they do not clean the room’s daily, every other day is their policy. It would have been nice to have fresh towels every day without having to ask for them. I understand having particular policies in place but this is one thing I think needs to be communicated to the guests at check in. Having it listed on a handout is a nice reminder but I think this is one thing that should be mentioned at check in, just like the friendly reminder on the times breakfast is served.

They were having the exterior painted and the paint crew dumped the waste paint in thee grass and rocks where children and dogs could put large flakes of paint in their mouths. The hall carpet is heavily worn. Mostly well taken care of just needs some updating.

Hotel was close distance to a two day event we attended.
Disappointed with the cleaning service when we requested to have our room cleaned and replace the bed linen and towels in the bathroom. It was mentioned by the female front desk clerk that their policy is the rooms are cleaned only cleaned if the guests stay 4 or more nights. I told the desk clerk that was unacceptable and requested the room/bathroom be cleaned. She provided me the same response. I asked to speak to the manager. He granted my request and assured me the rooms would be cleaned be we returned back to the hotel for the second nights stay.

Smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. No table or desk chair only ottomans (foot stools) to sit in at the writing desk making it impossible to use my laptop computer. Bed was hard and lumpy. Might as well have stayed at a motel 6.

Smoke was constantly coming into our room even though we were in a nonsmoking room. I woke up with a sore throat from breathing in the cigarette smoke. The pillows were completely flat. The front desk girl had no customer service.

Home away from home
I always love staying at the Hapton Inn's. I travel a lot for work and this place is my home away from home. Always a very friendly staff. They check me in and out wirh ease. And the place is always so clean and organized. Very upscale, modern touch to it without the high cost. That's why I always choose an Hamton-Inn room. Thanks for your services!!

We stayed in the handicap accessible unit at the bathroom was a bit gross. It had clumps of mud on the floor and the tiles around the edges were gross. There was a stain behind the toilet where you could tell it had been leaking and was probably fixed but nobody ever bothered to descale the calcium off the tile.

Noticed a stain on comforter so pulled back.
Noticed stain on bottom sheet so pulled back.
Noticed several pubic hairs on fitted sheet and immediately checked the next bed. Comforter appeared unwashed but no stains on sheets so yay? Walls are paper thin. could hear everything. $30 less per night would make a lot more sense. Staff was friendly. Breakfast choices were good.

This place is understaffed. Took us more than 30 minutes to check in. Heard the staff member waive the parking fee for the lady infront of me but couldn’t do the same for me? There is no housekeeping unless you ask. I checked in on Sat and asked Sunday morning if I could get housekeeping and was told I was too late? I had to ask for towels and trash bags and they had me go downstairs couldn’t even come to drop it off. Staff is rude!

The customer service was good, just really dirty. Stains on the bed, stains on the carpet both inside and outside the room. There was also dirt/grittiness in the bed when putting the covers on (I was too scared to figure out what it was).

Not happy!
Absolutely ridiculous that they charge you 10$ for each night to park.
The bathroom had no exhaust so there was no way for the steam to escape after showering. Our room was right next to the elevator and by the pool. We heard people talk while waiting for the elevator. Over all I would rate it a poor condition of the room.

The hotel is convenient to St. Joseph's hospital which is a plus for those visiting or receiving treatment at the hospital. It's located in a nice area close to the light rail with a good choice of restaurants nearby.

Staff was very friendly. Room was filthy dirty, missing microwave glass plate, sink stopper missing, television did not working properly, comforter was had dirt on it plus black marks on it. The sheets smelled of smoke. Due to heart surgery this location was convenient, considering the price that wasn't very nice. We have stayed at the Hampton often. This property was really bad. Because of exhaustion we just needed rest. Besides the condition of this property is the owner's responsibility not the staff.

A/C didn't work, Fridge didn't work, there is some ungodly noise that is insane right across the street. I believe it's the ventilation system for parking. We paid for two days $458.00. We got there at 1:00 am and left at 5:15 am. Paid 458.00 for 4 hours.
