Very comfortable bed. Great to have a mini-kitchen. It takes about 45-50 minutes to go downtown Boston (12 minutes by car to the parking (3 $) and after, 35 minutes by Metro).

Our room was nicely laid out -- with full size fridge, dishwasher, stove, and microwave -- none of which we needed, but thought they were a nice addition.
The workout room is excellent and the pool very nice.
We really liked the lady who was in charge of the breakfasts each morning, though she said she normally works at Aloft and was filling in for the person on holiday.
She was super friendly, helpful, and full of energy.
The front desk people were nice, though not out of their way friendly. On the whole we loved our 6 night stay there and would do it again. Thank you very much!

They need to fill the hand sanitizers and clean the rooms after use. Could also use some cosmetics that folks often forget -- toothbrush, hair brush, etc -- at the desk for purchase.
But a good place to say. I stay there often. Not as immaculate as it used to be, but still clean.

The feel of the place is nice and relaxing. Having a pool and free breakfast/parking is a big plus as is how easy it is to get to. The area is pretty quiet, but there was a fair amount of noise coming from the room upstairs this time. My first stay was far quieter. Almost like someone doing maintenance or moving. There are small examples of wear and tear in the bathroom including a leaky hot water valve in the sink, but overall, the room seems in good shape. Having breakfast until 11:00 AM would be nice. Overall, this is my new favorite place to stay when visiting the Boston area.

Noisy and disruptive guests upstairs that we complained about multiple times until 1:30am. We had two rooms on the second floor and wish we could’ve left the property, it was really that bad. Spoke with other guests who had similar complaints on other floors. Terrible experience.

Stay is good for a few days
Staff was great, breakfast was great, wifi was rarely available within my room and mold around the base border of the shower. The windows need to be changed as I can feel a draft throughout the night as the wind was blowing.

The rooms are a little tired but are roomy. The sheets are scratchy and old with some discoloration. They had a nice breakfast and workout room.

This place is run down. The nicest staff, but the rooms are rundown. The elevators were not working this time, nor was our bathroom light. It’s clear there is no money being invested in the place and it’s worn- lights flickering, food on the carpets, chips in the shower while walls, door jams and doors are filthy. Last time we will stay here. There are families living here long term which might explain the lack of interest by management to invest in its upkeep.

We have stayed at this property several times but this was not the greatest experience. The staff is very nice but the property is understaffed and maintenance is lapsing. Our room was not ready when we tried to check in well after check in time. Only one elevator is working (the same elevator was out of service the last time we stayed). There were no forks at breakfast and utensils were not replenished. As I look at other reviews, these maintenance and upkeep issues are known and acknowledged by the hotel but no action is taken, which is very disappointing.

Very close to the National park visitor center and trails. Not too far away from Boston.
My room connects to another room. Voices from guests next door was loud.

We had a great stay. There were three of us and we stayed for 5 nights. The location was ideal as we were visiting family at Harvard. We had about a 20-25 minute drive depending on traffic. Our room and the pool were clean. The breakfast offerings each morning were good. The staff was friendly. The only improvement could have been the cleanliness of the common areas like the hall ways, lobby, and elevator.

Great stay
Had a great stay at Element Lexington. The room was well designed, comfortable, and offered nice amenities. Breakfast was very well done. Loved the pool, and the little shop that offered a small but well chosen selection of snacks (a little pricey, but one expects that). It was also very convenient to an event I was attending in Lexington.

Everything was fine apart from the relative isolation of the hotel. As I didn’t have a car, I was dependent on the bus system and with only one bus an hour on Saturdays and NONE on Sundays, this very much limited my movements. Taxis were impossible to get without an hour’s notice, fine if you know that ahead of time. Uber is your only real chance of getting around if you haven’t arrived by car. That being said, the nearest bus stop is quite close by, if only the buses were more frequent. Consequently, I saw very little of Lexington itself, which is a pity.

Lovely property, pool was clean and in great shape.
At night, I could hear the next door guest opening and closing his cabinet doors and heavy footsteps around 10pm. So overall, the rooms aren't very well soundproofed.
But the experience was great and I would book it again.

This place needs much more care: Carpeting in elevator disgustingly dirty, one elevator inoperative for 3 days, smell in room, air conditioning in room defective, dishwasher broken, bathroom door does not close, light above range out, shower sole cracked and stained, no ice machines, etc

The bed was comfortable.
The staff is friendly and accommodating.
Be specific when asking for housekeeping and they will take care of whatever you ask for.

We had booked a room for 3 and arrived to find one bed and a pullout couch. The pullout couch had not been made up and we had to request sheets extra. We came back and had to make the bed ourselves plus go back to get pillows. The blackout shade in the main bedroom was broken. All in all would not recommend this hotel. Staff was nice but useless.

My stay at the element was Terrible. The bathroom door would not shut. I told the front desk and not one came to fix the problem. There were no TV control and no TV for two days. They switch on in from another room and it still did not work. They got it to work on the second day during the evening. There were no hair dryer for three days. I ask for it on the first day from front desk Plus no house keeping
Finally my room 166 came up with tax when I put in a tax exempt form 2 times. I have not seen the receipt without the tax on it. They charged me $96,63 (by adding up all the tax figures on my bill. I want this removed with a new bill right away. I need to file my voucher at work with the right figures. Thanks, Mae N. Moy

This hotel used to be smart and better than the Residence Inn. Fast forward 2 years later, the rooms are now run down- the carpets, walls and showers are dirty and the air filtration is so poor that the odours made by guests cooking fills the hallways and other rooms. Also, half of the LED light strip over the bed was burnt out. It just seems like there is zero effort made to keep the place clean and livable. Very disappointed. Will not return.

Liked the full kitchenette option although we didn’t stay long enough to use it. However, it was so nice to have a full fridge in which to store leftovers from dining out & freezer to make ice & to keep ice blocks in for travel back home

We had a good stay at Element. We weren’t there long but we were happy with our stay. My kids were disappointed that the pool wasn’t open, but the pool next door was available. We phoned the front desk at 11pm after we got back from being downtown to have linens for the pullout couch, and they were accommodating within about 20-25 minutes. Breakfast was pretty good, too. I’d stay here again.

Not what was expected
We booked a room with two beds because we were staying as a family. Our room wasn’t ready 90 minutes after our planned check in time. We got a room with one king and a pull out couch. The pool was closed down soon after we checked in (we saw a family using it during check in). They sent us to a neighboring hotel which was a nice option. However the neighboring hotel was doing swim lessons for children, so we had to come back later. The shower floor was significantly cracked. The prior Element that we stayed in had a fresh smell in the air in all common areas - as if aromatherapy was being pumped into the air. This one did not.
Having said all of this, the bed was magically comfortable!

The property is very attractive and inviting. The desk staff is friendly & helpful. I have stayed in hundreds of rooms and this was probably the best I've ever had in this price range. It shouts clean, comfortable, and functional. The beds have the trademark comfort of Westin. I would love to see Element in more locations.

This was the worst hotel ever Walked in to register Smelled like Dog !!!not kept up. Fan in bathroom wouldn’t shut off. Maintenance never came to fix it. No light in shower. Mold on tiles broken toilet tissue holder. Torn shades in living area
Sticky floors in lobby and breakfast area. Breakfast awful. Spoons in jars of peanut butter and jelly. Very unsanitary. Very disappointed. Never experienced this before. Back to Homewood suites for us. I called Marriott. No response yet

We booked this hotel because we had a wedding and had an 8 1/2 hour drive. When checking in it was very pleasant. We loved the room.
However, whoever was at the front desk our first night when asking him questions he didn’t seem interested at all and looked like was on his phone.
We were told breakfast was from 6 AM till 10 AM on Saturday morning. We came down at 9:30 and there was NO food. Only breads. And when clarifying with the staff about what time breakfast they admitted that they started clearing breakfast at 9AM!! When questioned about this they were saying anything other then an apology. ( I did bring this up to other staff and it was corrected in the way of points being added to my account) but just know if you book here you won’t know if you will make it in time for breakfast.

Room was perfect for a business trip although ours was just an overnight stay. The room had a full kitchen, spacious workspace and a sitting room separate from the bedroom. Rainfall shower was nice, king bed was comfortable. Very satisfied.

1st room was damaged... the 2nd room selected to replace it was dirty.
was asked to put my card on file 2x (charged $100 total) when infact there was already a hold on my card.
talked to 2 managers and was promised compensation but was giving the run around.
in even shorter terms... this place is a headache 2b avoided

Absolutely loved staying here. Soooo much cleaner and the staff excellent service than the Sonesta Hotel we stayed at in Burlington Massachusetts. That place was a complete disappointment and just disgusting especially after we saw 10 cockroaches and they said that we were lying. Thank you Element Hotel for making our stay especially wonderful.

It's a bit tired nowadays...
The Element is starting to show its age, I'm afraid. Norhing in paricilar, just a general sense of tiredness.
Our bathroom was pretty grubby when we arrived, but front desk did a great job of getting a housekeeping team to get it cleaned up. We couldn't use our sofa because it smelled like a dog's bed.
Breakfast was limited, but ok, and there was enthusiastic friendly service keeping items tidy, stocked etc.

A fantastic stop for the whole family! The staff was friendly, the room was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The cooking set up for the room was really nice and had plenty of prep space. Loved that it is dog friendly.

Great facilities and staff
Amenities here were terrific, from the gym to the heated salt water swimming pool, the hotel breakfast, and on site laundry. The staff were exceptional. They held our bags while we went out to see the battlefield and lunch. They also helped me find my glasses, which were left in the room after checkout. This location is highly recommended.

Broken/not working stuff in room. Shower was cracked on the floor and walls and whatever they used to “fix” the cracks looked like old blood. Also, it leaked all over the bathroom floor so we had to use the 4 towels that were in the room when we checked in. I asked for more towels at the front desk and the guy gave me a hard time about it. I told him it was because the shower was leaking and he negotiated a lesser amount of towels. 0/10 would not stay here again and would definitely not recommend.

However, there was hair all over the bathroom (even on the ceiling) and an air conditioning vent that is positioned to hit the face of anyone sleeping in the bed.

This is our go to lodging for the past 4 years when we visit family in Waltham. We enjoy the spacious rooms and kitchenette. Great staff and services.
But the rooms are starting to show some wear and tear, specifically bathroom fixtures such as hooks and holders loose, missing light switch cap, doors not closing. Small things.
