Room was found to be dirty. For nearly $200 a night you would expect for the floor to be at least clean. There are marks on the walls. Questionable people hanging around outside the property.

Here’s an honest review. It’s cheap but cheaper than what you’re paying. We got two different rooms because the inside door handle kept falling off. The second room initially smelt like pee. After I brought these up to the staff, I was told management could offer me only 10 percent off of what I paid ($7 bucks). Not worth it. Spend the extra 20 for red roof across the street

This property is the worst I’ve ever seen, bed bugs crawling on the blanket, very dirty, lamps and refrigerator were rusted and the bathtub had been painted with a paint brush and filthy. This place needs to be condemned.

I had to go and buy towels since the towels were dirty. There was a dirty towel hanging back of the bathroom door. Also there were roaches, could use the pool it was nasty. The web site should have stated that the pool not useable.

All I can say is that I will never stay there again! I couldn’t even use the restroom because the toilet was overflowing and the phone in the room didn’t work, the pool was green as grass. The room smelled like grass and. It just totally sucked

The room was terrible….tv didn’t work…the phone didn’t work when I went to call the lobby…the room smelled like cat piss….the bed was horrendous along with the pillows. We left 10 min after check in.

It was a complete nightmare.
The front door to the first room I was assigned did not lock properly so I was tranferred to another room that smelled terribly and didn’t lool as clean as you would expect for the amount of money I paid to stay the night.
The only reason I stayed was because I had prepaid and because there were very few rooms available in the town.
I would say “run don’t walk away from this place”. It was disgusting.

On or around March the 20th I informed the property that I was unable to make my trip and to please cancel my reservation. That was 7 days prior to the cut off date not to be charged for the reservation. I tried to contact the hotel by phone several times but all I got was a sound on the phone that sounded like the line was hooked up to a fax machine.
So I emailed them on their site to cancel the reservation. Yesterday, I received notification that they had charged me for the room full price.
I will dispute the charge with my credit card company and I will never do business with either this hotel or Expedia again. Too much of this stuff is going on where companies don't give a hoot about the clients. One pissed off customer.

Need new shower heads. They are full of CLR. And rooms need to be clean better. I found old used soap in the shower and old coffee in the maker and coverd in dust.

Requested nonsmoking was given smoking had to go back and change then had to switch room 3x cause of pet urine smell. and even though it was non smoking it smelled like cigarettes needs major upgrading from painting to carpet to furniture it was in palm coast great location doesn’t meet standards of the town 😣

The beds were ok though there were no blankets on beds. The friendly guy at the desk supplied upon request. The wifi was unusable. The bathroom was extremely shabby though the plumbing worked. My biggest complaint was the smell. We couldn't figure out what caused it. Thankfully the flooring was new wood-type, so not that. Sweat? Sour towels? Dirty laundry? Ugh. We won't be back!

Property needs to be completely remodeled. Mirrors in bath area were totally stained, faucets bad shape, water release valve in shower cracked and broken in areas. Wardrobe could not be opened easily due to dirt in tracks.

The room was dark ,no coffee pot ,roaches coming out of the light switches ,Food left in the refrigerator ,the room stank ,burn holes in the cover ,mold all over the bathroom ceiling ,mold all over the shower curtain carpet was nasty ,Was a terrible place to stay

Only thing was comfortable was the bed for my one night stay. The bathroom was horrible. There is no way it ever was clean. Toilet was dirty and dusty. The shower and shower curtain was nasty as well. At check in I was told the shower drains slow. It was nasty considering I had to shower with my slides on.. It didn't drain til the next morning. Just get a plumber. I've been to the Econo Lodges and they were always clean. But definitely not thus location. Don't do it...

We did not stay here. We walked into our room, saw the mold on the chairs and where the refrigerator was. We are currently waiting for a refund from the hotel because we were charged for THREE nights when we didn’t even stay one. The poor girl at the front desk tried to blame Chase Bank for charging us from the Econo lodge. It was absolutely disgusting in the room, doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned for months

Checked out and cancelled reservation 10 minutes after checking in. Room was disgusting! The room had a foul odor, stains on both bedspreads, holes in the walls, and mold in shower. Plenty of other affordable options in the area so run away..fast

The manager and the other office workers are always very pleasant. The upgrade to the rooms are excellent they removed the carpet and put vinyl flooring in very lovely. I stay there every year for 3 weeks. I have tried other hotels but I still come back to this one because they are so nice. And a great location.

The place was clean, sheets and all was clean. But they have people living In some of them. And at time while we was laying down for bed I seen 2 roaches. So yes they have roaches. Don’t bring food in there. Basically just throw the whole place away.

Overcharged w/ booked rate. No refund
Overcharged my rate by $30, my reservation was at $49....charged $70. No one taking responsibility for the overcharges, neither EconoLodge nor Hotels.com. Left a day early last Friday, still waiting for my refund on my credit card. Again, no one taking responsibility.
Not the best cleanliness, towels had what looked like poop on it, bad parking and lighting of their parking lot.

Non-Smokers Beware
The hotel as a whole is in need of a renovation. However, the room and linens were fairly clean. The A/C finally cooled the room after a while, but the air output was weak. The beds were also very firm and springy. The biggest problem we had, though, was that our room smelled like cigarette smoke. We were in a non-smoking room in between other non-smoking rooms, but outside there were people standing around smoking and leaving cigarette butts all over the ground. The door to our room did not completely seal when shut, so the smoke came right in.

A comfortable stay at a reasonable price
I selected this hotel because I was looking for a room with a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom with a hot shower, and no unnecessary disturbances, close to I-95, and at a reasonable price. The room I was given at Econo Lodge more than satisfied those requirements. It's not fancy. It doesn't have a great view. But it's more than adequate for travelers seeking a good night's sleep.

1st I didn’t like that they gave away my reservation. I had reserved a smoking room and when I got there they didn’t have any left. I was given no compensation for that and the beds were as hard as a rock I wouldn’t stay here again

Just awful. Will never stay here again, or at any other EconoLodge. The first room they gave us had clearly been smoked in. The second room, where we ended up staying since we didn't have any other choice at that point, had a laundry list of issues. From hair on the sheets, dirt and stains on the floor, to just overall gross and dingy. The front desk person knew full well how bad the rooms were. Many people refused their rooms and moved to other hotels. This hotel needs to be shut down and remodeled, because currently it is not in even remotely acceptable condition.

Here's the letter I sent to Choice Hotels (edited for length) I had a very frightening experience this weekend at the .. I made reservations through Expedia weeks before an event I was going to attend, fully knowing that ALL HOTELS within an hour drive would be booked and the event usually ends late at night. I arrive at my hotel around 10:30pm to find that they had cancelled my reservation and refused to reinstate it at the rate which I had reserved it for. I had Expedia on the phone with them and they refused to work with the Expedia agent. All they would say is that they had 8 rooms available and I could have one of them, but they would only offer a rate $50 more than that which I had reserved it for.
Here I was, late at night, in a strange city, a single woman with two children, well-spoken, sober, well-behaved, polite and scared because $50 is a lot for me and I didn't know where we would sleep.
I was forced to relent and take the room at the RIDICULOUSLY HIGH rate for the disgusting room they gave me, because I was desperate. They KNEW I would be arriving late, because this event has always ended late for over 30 years. They know all the hotels for miles are booked, because they do this twice every year. They cancelled my reservation with NO communication, FULLY KNOWING I would be backed into a position where I would most likely have to take the room at the ridiculously high rate. I feel this is unethical and cruel ....

I booked for a king size room no smoking & we went there to check in at 12:00pm. Mike told us the room wasn’t ready yet so we said we wouldn’t be. Ack until 9:00 as we had an engagement to go to. He said he would write that in the computer which he did!!
When we came back there @ 9 there were no kings size bed with no smoking available. Just double bed. We were not happy about that & that’s not how to do business.
I ordered King size no smoking & we didn’t get what I reserved!!!!!!!! Will not go back there!!!!

A dark, dreary, dirty room that has worse furniture in it than the Salvation Army ! Mattress was DAMP ! Musty smell in the room. Two small lamps with 40 watt bulbs..Faucets in sink were corroded ..bath rub stopper was painted white with latex paint. Carpeting was torn and worn out and dirty. Paid for the room and left after dinner at the Cracker Barrel. .Figured what might crawl out from under the bed. Couldn't stand it anymore. This room was advertised for $66 on the internet..When I called they said nothing was available. Then called Hotels.com and get a room in the same hotel for only $122 ! First they were booked up.for $66 . . .then for more money you can get the same room for double ! Old and worn out..knock it down and start over.. SEE THE ROOM YOU RENT BEFORE YOU PAY FOR IT !

Needs updating badly.
The experience was ok. When we checked in the person at the front seemed unhappy and a little curt that we were checking in before the check-on time. The room was "clean" but it still felt a dirty. You don't want to walk barefoot on the carpets. The bathroom had mold and the fixtures look rough but they worked good. The coffee pot leaked and so did the fridge. The room my brother stayed in smelled like urine. We will not be staying there again.
The location but definitely not worth the price.

Picked this hotel on rating and previous stay 3 years ago luv the location. I booked 2 nights and that's where it all went wrong. Like to not got in the room lock was very troublesome, first impression wall well worn. carpet was dark later found to be dirty. Tub had a rust hole in the front looked painted. holes and stains on the bedding. After pulling the linen back I found the mattress stained and blood marks. I packed up and checked out I am not dealing with that. I was refused the charge for the next day.

OK hotel to stay a night
This hotel was quite OK to stay in for a night. The room was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was OK, and there was a lot of parking space. WiFi was free and worked well. And there was a Golden Corral quite close to the hotel.

Roaches galore
We stayed here last year and I never saw a roach and this time is as a couple. It would be nice if you took care of the bug issue and seal the holes in the bathroom so they don’t get in. There were also stains on the towels.
