Spa was broken and nobody bothered to mention it when we checked in or we wouldn't have, soda didn't work, breakfast bar poorly stocked, free toiletries and decent beds.

The property and rooms were clean. The staff was really helpful and nice. There were quiste of few people who lived there for at least half of the year and has created a community at the hotel. The laundry was free but the machines were moldy and some were broken and appeared to have been broken for a while.

Lots of bang for your buck!
The front desk associate who checked us in was wonderful, friendly and helpful. It was late at night and we were tired. The overnight associate didn't know what to do to help us when I told them that our A/C was not cooling properly. There was no on call maintenance staff, but I wonder if they could have offered us a fan, checked on us in the morning or called a manager? There were no other rooms available and I understand that. At least hotels.com gave us a little credit to help make up for it.
Breakfast was great with a surprising variety of foods, including soy milk and chicken sausage. The make-your-own yogurt parfait was delicious! The coffee was good.
Hotel staff we bumped into we friendly and polite. The hotel interior and exterior are attractive. Comfy seating. I would have enjoyed the gas fireplace if it was colder outside. Our room was quiet.
This little place has a LOT of amenities. I worked some while my husband attended a training and I appreciated the fast, reliable wi-fi and the desk with a comfortable desk chair. I used the business center to print some things out. We bought snacks and drinks from the little snack bar. We and our cat really appreciated having the couch. The beds were really comfy. I liked having Dove products, which I use at home, and they were mounted in pump bottles rather than individually packaged, so they were more environmentally friendly. Kitchen was great. Unfortunately, I didn't have time for the pool or whirlpool.

The customer service was great! My family had plenty of space and the amenities were lovely. My only issue is that the ventilation system needs cleaning. There was a ton of dust by the air conditioning system in our room and by the pool area.

Shelly was amazing and helpful. Even though she was Cowboys fan. Lol The staff and amenities were all top notch. We will definitely will be back because Shelly also signed us up for the rewards program which we will take full advantage off. Love IHG!! See you next time.

Family's Staycation
I did a staycation. I wanted to enjoy a pool and spa before the summer ends. My first reaction walking through the door was "Wow it smells good in here lol." The front desk clerk was nice. I checked in late but still had to wait on the room( not long). The overall appearance was ok. The rooms could have been cleaner, the sheets had stains, the shower still had hair and stains, holes in the doors. I did my extra cleaning to the room and felt a tadbit better. The pool was great but the hot tub didn't work :(. Breakfast was good the next morning. The staff was really nice though. I would return and recommend to others.

Pleasantly surprised our room was very nice and large. Joe at the front desk was very friendly and helpful....actually all of the staff were. Nice selection at breakfast. Only a few issues with a weird smell in the hallways and the shower curtain rod was broken in one ofbthe bathrooms.

We were there during 90 degree weather pool was not functioning for almost 2 days… something about the chemicals… another day we were woken up by the fire alarm a little before 7am..they were trying to fix it for over an hour! Very inconvenient for us trying to have a relaxing few days!😡

This place was infested with roaches in the 2 bedroom suite. We were placed in another room and that was infested with roaches as well. The employees were very helpful in putting us in separate rooms, but this destroyed our trip. I would not stay here again.
Had to put luggage in big trash bags on the drive back to Pennsylvania and leave in garage for fumigation purposes because we didn’t want our house infested.

We loved the room and the facilities. The late night front desk wasn't too friendly and there was something that wreaked of a dirty diaper in the trash by the elevator, we let multiple folks know about the trash and no one removed the trash during our whole stay. It was quite putrid.

The Breakfast was good. Plumbing issues with the scalding hot water limited the use of one of the bathroom. Which is why we got the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was phenomenal and Friendly. Tanya was the one to check us in and anything we needed she made sure we had it. Another young lady by the name of Rhonda was especially helpful. Helped me get things like coffee when we ran out and was very pleasant. I don't know the names of the other staff members but each and every one was pleasant and greeted me each time they saw me even if it was 10 times a day. They were all courteous and I will be coming back when I am in the area again. Thank you for making us feel welcome!

Pool & hot tub both closed!!!! That was literally the only reason we booked there. Spent an hour attempting to find other accommodations, there were none that could accommodate our family size (zero!) on such short notice (7pm). Such a disappointment.

The stay here was amazing! We had excellent clean rooms. The staff and i mean all the staff were friendly and helpful. It was easy to find cats to move stuff from the vehicle to the room. The breakfast was phenomenal. And the lobby area was excellent for chilling.

Came to the area to visit family. Hotel is located maybe a mile from shopping, restaurants, etc. so not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Rates are reasonable and the staff is absolutely outstanding. The place is nice and clean. The only bummer is the pool is closed in preparation for being refurbished which we weren’t aware of so the kids are disappointed but it isn’t the end of the world and still absolutely will stay here anytime we are in the area.

My stay was during Memorial Day weekend. Our room was near the patio area. It was very loud and very boisterous. Because of this our stay was not enjoyable. Staff did not enforce their rules on how late individuals to stay out or encourage them regarding their noise level. Overall, the rooms were very clean and the breakfast area was sufficient.

Very convenient location but tbe room was absolutely filthy. Due to covid and traveling with a young child who would be crawling on tbe room floor we brought a swiffer with swiffer pads ro clean the kitchen and bathroom floors. We went through 7 swiffer pads mopping the floor. Each pad with completely black with dirt! Disgusting! Fbe floor looked as if it had never been cleaned.

Did not appreciate unfair treatment of my guests at the pool. The t.v.s in the room malfunctioned and we were without television in the middle of the night...even after calling maintenance.

The door was broken and the staff didn't explain how the service would be (e.g. put the dirty towels on the hallway to exchange, garbage at the door, etc at the check-in), the room could hear all noises from outside.

Upon arrival, I was informed that they could no longer honor my reservation due to “mechanical issues” and they had booked me a room at a “sister property.” The other property did not have suites, only basic hotel rooms. They also claimed to have tried to reach me, but no one had called my phone that day. Extremely unsatisfied that they could not accommodate me at the same property, or a nearby one with the same type of rooms.

I was very pleased when I first entered the hotel and it smelled fresh and clean. The check in staff was very friendly and informative. Upon entering my room I was happy that it looked exactly like the photos online, and was extremely clean. The pool wasn’t open when we arrived but opened the following day, unfortunately, the spa didn’t our entire stay. I enjoyed the buffet style breakfast and the free laundry facility. The entire staff was friendly. The only downfall I have is that the lamp in the bedroom was missing the USB port and the tv in the living room kept shutting off completely, but maintenance could always get it back working. They don’t do daily housekeeping so you have to have your sheets washed and make up the bed yourself. I would recommend this hotel and if ever in the area I would stay here again.

I actually was hoping that I could have this resolved at time of stay but did not receive any response from my check in complaint on VRBO. I booked this room for me and my three friends for New Year’s Eve. We weren’t sure anything would be open for New Years so we booked a suite. We booked two queens and a pull out sofa suite. I called to check in the day prior to our stay hoping to add my boyfriend to the booking so he could check in before I got off work. They told me that would work and check in was at 3. He showed up a little after four and they walked him to a king bed room with a sleeper sofa. Not a suite. He insisted that we needed the two beds and the sleeper sofa that we booked. They apologized and then gave him keys to our room on the fourth floor. When he walked in it looked like someone had been living there and left with only their toiletries and tooth brush. There were full condiment bottles in the fridge, a lipstick note from a wife to the husband, a dishwasher full of dirty dishes, and hair in the corner of the tub. He waited 2 hours for access into the room. Very unsatisfactory. When check in is at 3 we assumed rooms would be clean and ready by 4 or 5. That is not the case. Not prepared well and not worth the almost $200 a night that we paid. Wish I could upload the photos that I emailed to the listing but there is no way to. Disappointed.

Not worth it!!!
Reserved a king and when arrived was given a single queen room. When you exited the elevator the whole floor stunk of cigarettes. Front desk changed room to single king room. Upon entering the king room it smelled strongly of marijuana. The front desk then switched us to a double queen room which was fine. The front desk was very helpful and accommodating. The room initially appeared clean. Bathroom sink barely worked. Shower head had minimal pressure. Tub faucet was coming off of the wall! The hand lotion at the sink had been used by prior guests! The dishwasher was left full! Also was unable to use our fire stick on the tv. Tv super outdated! Have to be careful that door shut all the way also! Water in shower only got lukewarm. Also appeared that someone had been in our room while we were gone one day. The tv was on when we came back

The property was just a bit dingy and worn. The hallways smelled like someone cooking food, the doors are thin meaning it can get fairly noisy when people are in the hallway or just talking loudly in their rooms, and the bathroom floor just seemed a little neglected. the staff was nice. it was convenient having the little kitchen.

Expedia overbooked rooms so we did not get 2 Queen room. Had to take a King with pull out sofa. Bagged breakfast was great. Also, the room was on first floor right beside exit so when we entered the room it smelled like smoke from people smoking directly outside the door. With a little Lysol, the room was fine.

The rooms were clean. The pool didn’t look clean. However, it was a crowded full hotel and I understand. The worst part was that kitchen was closed before breakfast was done. The breakfast closes at 10:30 officially but by 10 am the sausages and waffles were done. We were told that breakfast is closed and the kitchen staff weren’t helpful or cordial at all.

I’m relatively picky when it comes to hotels, especially when traveling with kids. We really enjoyed our stay at Staybridge Suites in Chesapeake. The breakfast was included in the stay which is important when traveling with kids. They had hit and cold food items-eggs, sausage, bacon, yogurt, cereal and milk INCLUDING dairy free milk (we have dairy allergies so this was a big deal for us :), waffles, hit tea, soda, coffee, and several juices. The pool (nice and warm) and gym were very nice. The only downfall was that the hot tub was broken. The staff was friendly and hotel was CLEAN!!! Also, VERY convenient to mall, shopping centers, and restaurants less than 5 minutes away. We will be staying here again.

There are 4 requirements that I must have while booking a room. It must be clean, Free WiFi, Free parking and Free breakfast. These must haves were easily met. The room is spacious and I was not expecting a fully equipped kitchenette with a dishwasher no less! Too bad I was only staying one night. I must give special commendation to the move to eliminate the personal shampoo and conditioner bottles to address the plastic waste problem. Novel strategy. I also liked the elimination of the individual yogurt tubs now there is just 2 selections to choose from and obviously buffet style. I was surprised to find that the main fruit was blueberries to eat with the yogurt. The remainder of the continental breakfast is just above standard and you will not be dissapointed. only 2 things to complain about was there was no ice in the refrigerator but that was quickly ratified by the front desk after i brought a bucket down and the treadmill was not working properly in the gym. The bicycle was already out of service so I was left with the elliptical machine, thankfully I was the only one there For the price and late booking this hotel cannot be beat. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
