Nice beachfront hotel

The rooms are small, but quaint. Well equipped bathroom. My only complaint is that there were small rocks on the carpeting, fingernails on the nightstand and hair on the bathroom floor. Therefore, it had not been adequately cleaned.

The staff was not at all friendly.
I called that morning to see if we could get in early, they said 3:00.
When we got there with our dog, they said the room wasn’t ready and to try at 3:30.
Then, when I checked with the front desk, they said no it wouldn’t be ready until 4.
Disappointing.

This not the Ritz
The good: Location right by the beach. The breakfast was top of the line for a motel type breakfast.
The bad: You aren't really on the beach, there is a two story bar between the hotel and the beach. It actually blocked most of my view in the "Oceanfront suite" I paid more for. See the attached picture of my view, and I was on the top floor. The lower floor would just see the building.
When I arrived for checkin I had to wait about 5 minutes for the clerk to show up. She had been off fixing a light bulb somewhere. She was very apologetic and nice.
Once I went to our floor, there was a huge stain in the hallway carpet that may wife thought looked like someone had been murdered there.
In our room, the toilet seat was falling off the toilet so I fixed it. There was no shampoo dispenser, just conditioner. I was able to get some shampoo from the front desk who said that happens sometimes.
The room itself was okay except that the deadbolt didn't engage, so the only security when in the room was the cheap flipper lock common in motels.
The beach is great, and there is a decent bar / restaurant across the street.
I wouldn't say it was worth what I paid, but it is okay if it's the only option in the area.

Very convent to the beach and two great restaurants. Breakfast was average nothing great ran out of everything so had to wait about 20-30mins to refill food. Had an issue with our TV not working so the front desk clerk called an old co-worker of hers that used to work there but had been laid off to come fix our TV. Which to us was totally wrong because he didn’t get paid for the hour and half that he spent trying to fix our TV and had he not been able to fix it we were told there was no other room we could be moved to. Bed was super old felt like our feet was higher then our heads. The toiletries where not filled so we had to raid the housekeepers cart out in the hallway for body soap and shampoo

Hotel was clean and in good shape. Room was very small but adequate for us. Breakfast was very good and had a decent variety. The only bad thing i can say is that the bed was pretty hard. Very good restaurant next door too

I believe at check in she decided to change room for some unknown reason…the room wasn’t handicapped accessible the shower/tub no bar extremely dangerous and again the desk staff was not accommodating at all…we needed a luggage cart she said there would be one at the entrance where we had to enter hotel had to ask her several times to find one and no linen for the sofa bed and it was terribly uncomfortable and the parking lot to accommodate guests is terrible as well…the room was clean it was mainly the desk clerk on duty

The desk staff were outstanding! However, the business center computer was constantly rebooting. It would be nice to be able to wirelessly print from my phone to the printer there though. Inexpensive printer at home can do that. Otherwise it was a great day and a wonderful place to visit.

This hotel is awesome in terms of location and service. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are on the smaller side, but they are comfortable enough for a family of 4. Great view! The walk-in shower was great. Breakfast was included and it is ok. There is enough variety though. We were surprised by this hotel. We will definitely stay here when we come back to Amelia Island. This hotel is highly recommended!

An amazing stay!
We had an amazing stay. We were given a 3rd floor very comfortable room with amazing views of the ocean. The room actually was like a small apartment with bedroom and living room sections. We loved waking up to the beautiful sunrise. Great beach walk. Breakfast provided was wonderful! There was a fantastic restaurant right on the beach in back of the hotel. Look forward to coming back on the future.

This sweet hotel is ocean front and very very clean. Most rooms are suites so you have a separate bedroom and living area. With Fridge and coffee maker. Great views of the ocean. Staff was incredibly helpful and the breakfast is to die for. Highly recommend this hotel!

Cute seaside hotel; very quaint! They make the best of small rooms by making separate bed- and living rooms. And of course the corner room with a fantastic view of the Atlantic Ocean didn't hurt!

Parking is confusing. Front desk staff could care less about your needs. Completely impersonable. I could have stayed at a budget motel and received better treatment. Rooms are small and dismal. Felt like I was in a jail cell. Will NEVER be back

This was our first visit to Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach, and we're already planning a return visit for next year, and we'll definitely be staying at Seaside Amelia Inn again. Great location, right on the beach, good restaurants withing walking distance, clean, friendly staff, couldn't have asked for a better night's stay.

Friendly staff but not happy with the hotel.
First room we went to had not been cleaned and had to go get a second room. The second room’s air conditioner was not working only got down to 74 during the night. I called the front desk the next morning to get somebody to check out the A/C unit. When we returned later that day the A/C was still not working. I had the cleaning lady notify the front desk. The maintenance guy showed up and tried to reset the unit. He then said that he would get us another room. So we had to pack all our stuff up and move to the second floor.

You had one job and you failed
Hotels.com did not send my reservation to the hotel. The hotel did not know I was coming. Despite booking a specific room (balcony, ocean view) in February of this year, it is not the room I got. The hotel only had one room left. I paid over $700 to have a parking lot view with no balcony in a noisy room by the elevator. I specifically wanted a quieter part of the hotel as sleep and relaxion was critical on this trip, as I was staying there due to having races on both days. The noise level was so bad from the elevators that I tried to sleep on the fold out couch rather than in the bed. I had to remove the sheets from the bed to put on the couch as none were there. The couch was really uncomfortable. I woke up with a really sore back.
The room was lacking a few critical items such as soap, coffee, and toilet paper. I had to make several trips to the front desk as it was abandoned on many attempts.
I would have had a better experience at another hotel, but I tried this one ONLY for the waterfront view that I did not get due to hotels.com's error.
I really hope you rectify this with a refund. I have used hotels.com for years, but now I'm feeling that I'll never use it again.

Anniversary Trip
The location of this hotel is amazing! Just steps to the beach which is what I wanted. They even loaned us beach chairs which is good when you fly there. They said it was first come first serve if they have any. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was normal hotel breakfast but maybe a little tastier. There were the usual things to choose from. There wasn't ever anyone at the desk when I went there but a little shout out and they would be right there. Carlotta suggested the Salty Pelican to us for an anniversary dinner and it was amazing! We went back on our last day. We had the Sunset Palor and be aware it is tiny! We did finally find a place to tuck all our things and brought a chair in from the balcony to have another place to sit so we made it work, but the bed is up against the wall on one side so that is hard to maneuver if that person needs to get up in the night. We booked it for cost so I guess that's on us. The pictures did not look like that though. Parking can be an issue because they only have a small lot dedicated to the hotel and we didn't know till the last day that we could park in the underground but even that was pretty full. The other lot is shared with beach goers and the restaurant just behind them. Overall, I'd book this hotel again in a heart beat. Don't forget to check out the rooftop. Amazing view!

Great quiet location. Very nice property. There are a few things that need to be addressed in some rooms, such as broken hair dryers left in the room, but no biggie. The staff was super nice. The place was decorated well. Will be back!

Loved the location- right on the beach and two great restaurants within a few feet. Good buffet breakfast. Nice rooftop view. WiFi is totally unreliable. Room is not made up daily, just at the end of your stay. Easy to get your own towels and toiletries though. Room was small but lived the separate sitting area w couch, fridge, tv, desk area, beach view from window and great view on balcony.
Would recommend if you want to be on the beach.

A Relaxing Atmosphere Beach Mode
Our stay was really pleasant. Cleanliness was pretty decent at least on our pool view room. Breakfast was good and everything around was keep clean. I asked for a pool towel at front desk and the lady that attended me, advised me to bring it back before 10 o'clock or she will claimed under a incident report to my room. I brought my own towers and needed an extra one. Since mine was still wet from earlier. Other than that pool need a reface. Lots of nice restaurants to eat walking distance also at the Centre Street. Loved that beach stay clean at all times. Nice walks at evening. They also have different activities at beach side, such a movie night. We really enjoyed and definitely will return.

Excellent service and facilities. We came here for a weekend and had a great time. Beach 100 yards away. Also there is a restaurant and bar directly behind the hotel that we ate dinner right on the beach on the walk back to the hotel. Very convenient. We will definitely come back again.

If you like being steps from the beach, then Seaside Amelia In is the place. Literally 100ft from Fernandina Beach, with walking distance to two restaurants/bars, we found it a great location. Small property but very modern and well kept. All of the staff we interacted with were personable and helpful. Covered parking in the garage under the hotel is great. 5 min drive to FB historical district. We love staying here.

We had a wonderful view. The bedside light was not working and the light in the entry way did not work properly. the TV had issues where the screen kept getting smaller and smaller, there was no shampoo in the shower dispenser. Other than that, it was great.

The room was too small!! Clean but too small. We only needed a queen bed but you could hardly walk around the bed. The bathroom door had to be closed to walk to shower. Love the motel but will definitely make different room choice next visit!

Just a quick stopover on drive home. Great location. Beachside property with an unaffiliated restaurant in front of it right on the beach. Bathroom was nice. I had the smallest room which was tiny, more like a 3rd bedroom at home. Too small if you’re staying more than a couple of days. 1 chair provided. Breakfast had a good variety. It didn’t look like any rooms looked straight out for an ocean view. Mine looked at the street but didn’t care as I was at the beach. Drove downtown as we left and had only time for a stop in an antique store. Very nice downtown area. Will come again for longer to do more sightseeing. I tried calling front desk ~9pm and no one picked up. Had to go downstairs for assistance. I told front desk that the voicemail still said they were closed due to Irma which was years ago!

The location is great! Right on rhe beach. Breakfast was great. There is plenty of restaurants in walking diatance. The room was clean, but needs repairs. One of the TVs didnt work. The remotes in the room did not work, but they did get us new ones. Some of the outlets did not work. We had to ask for linens for the pull out bed and the blanket had a big hole in it. The carpet in the room was old. The pool us very small and not very inviting.

The beach was steps from the hotel, and the front desk arranged our chairs/umbrella for us. It was quiet and family friendly. The restaurant in front of the hotel made it convenient so that we never had to leave for dinner or lunch the next day. The hotel’s breakfast is better than most.

Great beach property
Seaside has been completely renovated and everything is clean and new. The breakfast is excellent. Our room was small but that was our choice. It is a reasonable place to stay on Amelia Island and has direct access to the beach along with a nice pool.

I paid triple the amount that I should have for a little box room, I have never been in a such a tiny room, in which they call the parlor. Full size bed could barely fit my husband and I, No table to eat on. The bath tub was not draining the water, nasty. Luckily I canceled my second night in time. Expedia will not be seeing me use them again, this hotel was way overcharged for what I paid for.

On the beach but some accommodations lacking.
If the location of a motel right on the beach is important to you, you're in luck here. It is also next to a public parking area for the beach, and I am not convinced all the cars in the motel parking lot were those of guests. The lobby looked clean, had no odor, and the front desk clerks were pleasant. My room was an overstatement of comfort and cleanliness however. I paid a total of $170 for one night for a very small room I thought was standard size. The carpet was worn and soiled in places. I would have appreciated air conditioning in the hallways, a lack of sand and water drips in the elevator, and no long, black hair strands in the shower and floor of the very small bathroom. I went to the front desk requesting a housekeeper but was told they all had left. The clerk said she would get my room attended, but upon return from my event, that had not happened. At this time, I had arrived six hours prior. The night desk clerk brought a Swiffer, cleaning spray, and trash bags to the room and cleaned it herself. That's extra nice, but she shouldn't have had to. The room did have a Keurig, coffee samples, fridge, and clean towels. It faced west and got a lot of heat. Room air ran all night. Road noise until 11 pm was loud, but the place is RIGHT off the road as well. Overnight was quiet, and the bed comfortable. The biggest pluses were friendly staff and good selection of breakfast items--juices, fruit, eggs, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, danish, bagels, bacon, grits.

This hotel is having some issues. The staff are not very helpful or knowledgeable. Every encounter was strange. They took the phones out of the room because they’re “working on the phone lines” so any time there was an issue we had to go down to front desk. The light fixture in the bedroom didn’t work because they “were waiting on a bulb”. The fan didn’t work “because the chain was missing”. Half the outlets weren’t working. The switches on the wall didn’t work. The towels had stains on them. The blankets had holes in them. The sofa bed did not have sheets or pillow cases for pillows. The room was not guest ready. For 300$ a night, not a good value. The location is great, and that’s the only thing. Stay somewhere nicer and drive to the public beach which has the same access as the hotel.

This property is beautiful… the staff was tremendously helpful, the breakfast was great, the bed was super comfortable and I would go back multiple times… I genuinely loved this property however two issues I had were 1) the reservation said oceanfront and I thought that meant ocean view but there was a restaurant building blocking my view but the pool view was nice… the other is the wifi was down my entire visit so it makes it difficult if you are working remotely.

This was our third time staying at Seaside Amelia Inn, and we enjoyed it every time. There were a few minor housekeeping issues that I didn’t ask for anything to be done, but I did notice it was a little rundown in places. Overall a great experience and we would go back.
