I did not like the $75.00 per night for incidentals as this was not communicated to me upon check in. It was only after i checked my credit card statement was i made aware of the $600.00 hold (i.e 8 nights). This info should be placed on the website or promptly communicated to the guests. I will update again depending upon how soon the hold is released on my c/c

The bathroom had patches from some damage areas. The shower leaked. The blow dryer didn’t work. The service was great! We enjoyed the breakfast.

Wonderful stay at this great hotel!
Absolutely wonderful stay at this great hotel! We had a suite and the room was very spacious and clean with comfortable beds, free breakfast was great with good choices, quiet and safe location. Rooms and overall hotel appeared to be remodeled and modern. We will stay at this hotel every visit to Surprise and highly recommend to all!

Lost reservation
Front desk staff was very rude upon checking in they refused to give us one of our rooms stating they couldn’t find it even though I provided my confirmation. It took me contacting Hotels.com before they magically found the room.

Property is a good value for the money, well positioned off of Bell Road. Young lady who checked us in was very solid and friendly, breakfast was surprisingly well stocked, room was clean and fairly quiet. Will stay again.

Quick night in Surprise
Front desk was quick to check in a number of people in timely manner without stressing over those waiting in line. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable. Easy parking. Breakfast was generic with limited good fruit to select from - bananas were not ready to consume.

My stay was very comfortable except for one thing.
I was in 105 which was a handicap room. The tub was very slick on the bottom and it had a bar only at the end
by the shower head. It really needs another bar against the wall which I suggested on my check out.

We got back to the hotel from a concert around midnight, only to find that the elevator was b ring serviced. My wife and I are seniors, and have bad knees. Which is why we requested a room with handicapped assistance. My question is why would you have this sort of room on the 2nd floor when there are times when the elevator is not available. My wife and I painfully climbed the stairs. We have stayed at this HI several times in the past and probably will do so on the future. The staff was apologetic, so I hope they wait until later in their shift before resetting the elevator next time.

Hotel is clean. Staff was friendly. Bed comfortable, clean bathroom. Only complaint: our room was on 3rd floor in the front of the hotel and there was some type of machinery below our window that ran all night long…it was a bit distracting when trying to sleep. Other than that, it was a decent place to stay.

Very nice property with comfortable bed and an extra blanket in the closet for those people who are always cold. Excellent breakfast in the morning with healthy food options for people watching their calories. The next time I'm in the area, I will stay here again.

This is the nicest and cleanest Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. However, there is no insulation in the walls making mornings and evenings pretty noisy. You can easily here outside and indoor noise.

Although we checked in after the 3pm check in time, our room was not ready and I was told to 'come back later'. We had just driven 6 hours and needed to unload our luggage to make room for the passengers we were planning to pick up.

The area is nice, clean, and quiet. But what made my stay an amazing experience was the staff. They were very polite and welcoming. The amenities were great and convenient. Wedding Holiday Stay
This property was modern, quiet, clean, and fresh. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel setting. Sarah and the entire front desk team were professional and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious real food that did not run out despite sports teams also staying at the hotel. They treated us like welcome guests!

Favorite hotel
We go to a lot of baseball tournaments in the area and this is our favorite hotel! The rates are reasonable and have always had a clean and comfortable room. Like the breakfast also, would highly recommend.

Overall great property to stay at and comfy room. Amazing breakfast buffet and the staff on every shift was amazing!! Only problem was the carpet bug I found in my bed. Not from Arizona and to have a bug crawling around on my bed was not it for me. Will definitely be looking at more options if I ever return to Arizona in the future.

I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels. Whenever I am in the Phoenix area, I stay at this hotel as it's always super clean, the staff is ALWAYS friendly and fun to talk to and it's a very peaceful area. Though the area is building up, it still feels quiet as it's off the main road, but still close enough to all amenities and shopping.

We both agreed that the standout was the staff at the Holiday Inn Express. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and greeted us with a smile. We particularly appreciated the ladies who put breakfast together every morning and were exceptionally cheerful doing it. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet.

Jacob assisted me at check in. It was later in the evening and I was exhausted. Jacob was amazing. Friendly, kind and efficient at their job.
I rarely complete surveys -- but needed to do so in this instance, for Jacob was simply lovely. Absolutely need to 'shout out' to HIE leadership. Expedia, please share with the property!
