Quiet and convenient

I stayed 2 nights however i will not stay there again .. they bathroom was the worst … mold and peeing wall paper with staples to try and hold in place and puddy over holes in the walls plus stained pillow cases . The breakfast was ok and the popcorn in lobby was awesome but the price i paid wasn’t worth the uncleanliness

just an overnight stay … there was food left in the refrigerator. I’m assuming the cleaning crew didn’t clean the refrigerator. That makes me wonder if they throughly clean the room? 😒

It was not clean in the room ( hair is the tub, all around the toilet, etc.).. There was no fan in the bathroom so when you take a shower, the whole bathroom is dripping wet which has caused substantial mold growth in the bathroom. The breakfast was also not good at all. I hate to complain so much about this place but it was just a rough experience.

I worked at night and sleep in the day. A maintenance guy knocked on my door and woke me up in the middle of my sleep just to check if the heater is working even though i put a do not disturb sign.

Nice area, clean
Overall the hotel was clean and well kept.
The area is nice, not too far from shopping or places to eat.
I left a flannel shirt in the room and after checking out someone called to let me know. I had actually left it on purpose hoping that someone there could use it.
The only negative thing I have to say is the mattress in my room was like trying to sleep on bedrock. That was my room, I can’t say if all of the mattresses are like that.
The breakfast was much better than expected, they had omelets and true southern biscuits and gravy.

I wasn’t happy with my room. Bathtub was dirty and stained. Coffee tables were upside side down against the wall, I dragged it over to the couch. The bed is comfortable. The check in lady was very nice

Do not stay here. I do not normally take the time to leave a review, but I feel like I need to pass along the information. The carpet in the room was covered in dirt and hair; the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling; the shower floor was dirty with black feet marks; there was DampRids all around the property to try and get rid of the overwhelming musty smell.
The list could goes on; but, my advice would be to just go ahead and spend the extra $20 and get a decent place to stay. This place was absolutely terrible.

Great Find!
What a great find for our stop on the way to St. Pete Beach. We needed to stop for the night and found this reasonably priced hotel. Joy was warm and professional as we checked in. When we arrived in our room, the room next to ours had their clock alarm beeping loudly and non-stop. I called the front desk (Joy) and within 5 minutes, someone had knocked repeatedly on the door, entered the room and shut off the alarm. Free breakfast the next morning was also a nice perk.

Sleep in, not so clean in...
The entire hotel was pretty unclean. Our room at first glance seemed alright then the bathroom. Jesus! Not only had the shower not been washed with remnants of the tennants past, the pubic hair on the toilet seat indicated it may have been skimmed and not cleansed prior to checkin. Also the mildew smell in the whole place. My husband had to fix the broken running toilot that went off every 5 minutes and we left with several bug bites we didnt have before. Leaving i noticed the door handles were gross, i went to tell the check out attendant about our stay but they never even asked how it was, so i just left. Didnt even stay for free breakfast. That's what we get for trying to save a buck. This hotel is for kids in sporting tournaments not adults with standards.

Stayed here for two weeks. The room and property were clean and very well kept. The breakfast was very good and had multiple options. The entire staff that I came in contact with were so friendly and accommodating. Even the gym equipment was well kept. I'll be making many trips to Gainesville in the next year and will stay here for every visit. I was very comfortable and content during my stay. Thank you to the staff at the Gainesville sleep Inn! They also offer shuttle service to and from the Florida home games. GO GATORS!

Stayed here to be close to Shands. Specifically told front desk needed room especially bathroom clean on Wed as I had surgery on Tues. was reminded by husband again We’d morning, when we returned from hospital about 3:00pm room hadn’t been touches! Needless to say Not Happy!

The staff is super. Transportation to and from University of Florida for football game. They had hamburgers and hotdogs for everyone. Right off I-75 in Gainesville. 4 miles from UF. Will definitely stay here again.

The staff was amazing. The property is older, but the management and staff will attend to any questions or concerns. They went out of their way to control the things in their power. Bonus-we got to experience a Gator Tailgate party which was a great surprise. They went all out, which from what I gathered is the norm for football season. Home cooked Southern comfort food Parking lot was well lit with plenty of spaces. I felt safe traveling alone. I felt at home walking to eateries and convenience stores. Close to shopping/medical & I-75 for travel convenience.

Overpriced for the Condition
This hotel is extremely dated. There are tubs of Damp Rid everywhere, including the air conditioning units in the hallways. In the bathrooms, the wallpaper is falling down or held together with staples. There is a constant damp/wet/mildew smell. The staff are great and the breakfast is good, but this hotel could definitely use an upgrade in conditions, especially for the prices they charge. And, be aware, like all hotels in Gainesville when the Gators play at home, they will quadruple their prices for those weekends. It's not the worst hotel, but not the best either.

I have to to say the stay was over all nice. Our a/c was noisy and the beds were to hard and I should have gotten a handicap room because me wheelchair I just became disabled it would have been easier. The hot water was extremely hot probably should check that so no one gets burned.

Black Mold
While checking in, front desk was super sweet and friendly as well as the gentleman who was in charge of breakfast in the morning! The downfall was cleanliness. We got a king size suite with a pull out couch bed. Opened the bed up and it was super stained and food crumbs/trash on it. The hotel felt so humid and my allergies exploded as soon as we got in the room. Looking closely, black mold was around the air conditioner and around the bathroom sink. It was way too late in the evening to cause a fuss over it since we were only stopping for the night to rest during our travels. Next morning we witnessed quite a few employees carrying out counter tops and black mold spray from other rooms to treat so if I was to say something we would have been sent to another room with the same issue. I understand this stuff happens, but charging a large amount of money for the room with those kinds of problems bothers me. Makes me feel like profit is more valuable than the comfort of the guests.

Help during hurricane.
Evacuated during recent hurricane, and stayed here for three days until we got the all clear. Good breakfast, everyone was very helpful during a very stressful time and the room is comfortable very pleased with the stay.
